Choppy videos on Macbook Pro

Hi, Ever since I updated to mountain lion on my macbook pro 13 inch. All the videos that contain adobe flash player has been choppy. Please Help!

Uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin then reinstall new.
Uninstall >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall first before reinstalling.
You may need to temporarily disable anti virus software (if installed).
Reinstall here >  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=JZEFT
Then open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Delete All
Quit and relaunch your browser. Try a video.

  • Video Lagging/Choppy videos on Macbook Pro

    Hello,
I am having a problem while watching videos online: video lagging/choppy videos. Sometimes the video is stuck in a certain frame although I still have the sound on the background; sometimes the video slows down completely (frame+sound). It started around one month ago, and exists in several different websites, I couldn`t solve it by myself. I am not very good with computers. I tried to uninstall/reinstall flash player, as well as disable hardware acceleration, and the problem is still there. Also somedays the videos are working fine, and somedays they are all bad independent of websites. I tried to use different browsers (chrome/firefox/safari), but the problem persists.
I am using a Macbook Pro and bought it in the beginning of January this year (right now it is running OS X 10.7.4) with flash player version 11.2.202.235.
I would very much appreciate if you can help me.
    Thanks.

mellskucukoglu, uninstall all adobe products then install Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Reader, Adobe Air, Adobe Shockwave Player. Make sure to select the operating system correctly behind the link. Turn off your antivirus till you finish installation as suggested below the webpage. If it still doesn't work check for OS X 10.7.4 updates.
If it still doesn't work then go for Adobe Live chat in this link http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html . Sometimes they are busy. If they can't help. Think about any changes that you made before this issue like installaling any new apps. Uninstall them. If it still doesn't work then install Adobe Flash Professional CS 6. After installing check for adobe updates and update them all. It should work at this point.  If not ,watch this

  • Online video playback is severally laggy/choppy on my macbook pro 2011?

hey guys, got a bit of an issue here. I've been noticing some SEVERE lagging issues whilst viewing online (streaming) video, from various sites, including, novamov, youtube, and others. the videos rarely stop to buffer as i have a fast connection, but yet they still seem to lag wildly. what i mean by this, is the sound will continue as normal, the the picture will freeze sometimes for a good 5 seconds or so before resuming, this is happening increasingly more and more..
i am running Mac OSX Lion (latest Update) on my:
    MacBook Pro
    17-inch, Early 2011
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
    Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b)
If it helps my hard drive space is:
    Macintosh HD
    Capacity: 664 GB
    Available: 179.79 GB
The browser i am using is the latest version of Safari, although i have tried firefox and chrome and i experience the same issue.
I have Sophos anti-virus installed and run regular scans on my system (all clear)
i really can't think of anything else which could be causing an issue here. I haven't installed any additional software for a while, not in the time frame since the error started to occur.
I am quite surprised to be experiencing such issues as lagging on something as simple as a youtube video when my £3000+ computer handles heavy applications such as Final cut pro and Photoshop with ease...
i MUST be missing something here,
I really would appreciate any help i can get here.
thankyou very much for your time
    ben

    Hey Carolyn,
Worked a treat, de-jaggy video for first time in months!!! Only point of clarification, I manually deleted the Flash plug-in before I uninstalled Flash. Don't know if this was why it worked for me rather than others but hey ...
    Thanks again!

    Hi Ben...

Try troubleshooting the Flash plugin required for most YouTube video.
Quit all open browsers. I'm using Safari as a test.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure and uninstall the current plugin first.
Then launch Safari. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Do you have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed? If not then go to the Adobe site and download and install it.

If I told you how, I'd also have to get rid of this thread.  We can't discuss how to circumvent copyright restrictions, and many Youtube videos have just that.

how to transfer video from macbook pro to iphone 5S IOS 8, anyone?

    Hi hjmdsalleh,
You typically use iTunes to sync your content to your iPhone.
iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes
If you are having problems syncing some videos, they may not be in the correct format.
iTunes: Videos may be unable to sync to iPhone, iPad, or iPod

  • Videos are choppy on new Macbook Pro 13''

    Hello everyone,
I just got a new Macbook Pro. I've downloaded the most recent versions of Quicktime and Flash but whenever I try to view a video, it takes a while to start playing and then once it does start it freezes about every 20 seconds. I've tried everything to fix this, but have had no luck so far. The problem is not my wifi because I am able to play videos perfectly on my desktop and my iPod. I have not been able to find any solutions online either. Any suggestions? Should I upgrade to Mavericks and see if that fixes anything? Has anyone solved this issue?

  • Trouble playing any videos on Macbook Pro

So 2 months back, my macbook pro is having trouble playing any type of flash videos, from youtube, embedded videos, pretty anything with flash. flash player is up to date, i can surf the internet and do my work flawlessly but as soon as i start a video, the mbp starts to slow down and the video starts getting choppy. Not sure what else to do before giving up and going to the apple store. I've shut it down and restarted it still having issues. any help would be appreciated! Running OS X 10.8.2

I have been having these same problems. Currently, playing YouTube videos in HD, is not viewable, so I have to watch videos in 240p (gross). My thought is that YouTube has shut down some of the servers in order to push some kind of update. My advice, just wait out the storm and see what happens over the next few days. If the issue is still not fixed, I would suggest contacting Google. In the meantime, you could try and reinstall Flash Player, or change browsers, but from my experience, none of that worked.
    Best of luck!

  • Choppy video playblack Macbook

    Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry if it is yet answered but I found several forum stuff but nothing really solved.
    I have a Macbook pro 13'  2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 8GB RAM 1600MHz DDR3
Since I bought it (with Lion) it has had some issues on video playback. If you reproduce ANY VIDEO of my mac (not on the internet) it may become choppy eventually (the audio continues and the video stops and then after 3-4 seconds starts again). I've tried with VLC or quicktime and is all the same.
I reinstalled Lion, installed again Mountain Lion (deleting everything) and the problem has not been solved. I thought having a mac was synonim of not having problems in video playback and editing.
Any idea? I've read something abour flash updating but I have it up to date.
Thank you very much, any help will be much appreciated.

Curious why you think it would be my network when the same network is being used by the iPad 3rd Gen and iPhone 5 and they both stream without issue. As far as the other items you mentioned, all devices are up-to-date with the latest firmware/software and the latest MacBooks do not have ethernet ports. Speedtests that I have conducted also indicate that bandwidth is not the issue as the results show that the speeds received from the router are quite impressive.

  • DVI to Component video w/ MacBook Pro and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M card...

I just got a new MacBook Pro with the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M video card. On the NVIDIA website for the card, it states:
"Integrated HDTV encoder provides analog TV-output (Component/Composite/S-Video) up to 1080i/1080p resolution".
I have a Sony HDTV that only has component video (Y Pr Pb) inputs (the red/green/blue inputs). It is capable of HD up to 1080i.
If the NVIDIA card does output an analog TV (Component) signal, it should work. However, when I went to the place that sells the DVI-to-Component adapter, I got some bad news:
    See it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E8V0YI/ref=pdluc_sbs_0202
I wrote a question to the Sewell folks about this product and asked this:
Will this work with the dual link DVI-I port on my macbook pro? Graphics card info: Nvidia 8600 GT 256MB of GDDR3 memory Here is the link to the card's site: http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8600.html
    They answered:
Unfortunately this will not work. While the GPU may support the function, the Mac Version of the cards do not implement the component signal.
I think they are still thinking about the older MacBooks that use the ATI chipset and don't know about the new NVIDIA cards.
Is component really not implemented in the new MacBook Pros?
I have the 17" model that has more VRAM than the 15" and I got the HD screen upgrade.
Does anyone know any solution that will work with the MacBook Pro with the NVIDIA chipset? As I said, I'm trying to output an HD signal from the DVI port on the MacBook Pro to component video input on my HD television.
    Thanks for the help.

Sorry, the website for the Sewell adapter is here:

  • What is the best way to make and organize home videos? Macbook Pro? iPad?

I have a Sony Handycam HD camcorder and a macbook pro.  Right now, I'm creating home videos by dumping all raw video into iMovie, adding a date/time stamp and saving the video to an external hard drive.  Is this the best way for me to create and store these home videos with my current setup?  I also take some video with my iPhone and include them in the iMovie projects as well.  I want these videos to be around for a long time and I'm afraid I'm going to lose them since I've graduated from DVDs to actual .mov files.
With that said, I would like to find a more streamlined approach.  Idealy, I would love to replace my macbook pro with an iPad and use the iMovie app to process all of my home videos and then save to iCloud or an external hard drive.  Is this possible?

Deleting the application from your /Applications folder is sufficient. There are sample projects in /Library/Application/Aperture you may want to get rid of as well, as they take up a fair bit of space.

  • You-Tube Videos on Macbook Pro

Suddenly I have a problem when viewing You-Tube-Videos. They keep breaking up on my Macbook pro. I never had this problem before. My browser is Safari. Any suggestions?

The Flash plug-in failure on Lion, is a Safari issue that can be fixed with these steps:
My Flash Player plug-in would not play videos on YouTube (using Safari in Lion). It turned out that my Safari settings needed to be reset after the recent Lion 10.7.4 and Flash upgrades.  I called Apple tech...
This is what we did to fix it:
    1. Open Safari.
    2. Go to top left menu, under "Safari" click on "Reset Safari."
    3. UNCHECK the first two boxes, leave the next three checked, plus UNCHECK the next two, and keep the last three checked.
    4. Hit "Reset"
    5. After the reset finishes, Safari will relaunch and you can test Flash by going to YouTube to see that videos will now play.
    Thanks Apple Care!
