Chrome book ePrint problem, no actual print

My father just bought himself an Acer Chromebook. We have an HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw. We were able to set up ePrint and print test prints from the Acer but whto trying to print anything else, nothing comes out. When you check the settings on Google Cloud Print and also on the HP ePrint website both state that the thing that was sent printed. I am able to print from the ePrint app on my iPad with no problem. We are completely stumped as to why the Chromeboostays everything has printed but nothing is coming out. Can someone please help?

I don't trust PDF export in software. I use a pdf printer application (BullZip is the one I use) to print to a pdf and then send the resulting pdf as an email.

  • Hp desktop1000 will not print from samsung google chrome book

I just purchased a Samsung Google Chrome book and cannot get it to print to my HP1000 printer. Any ideas?  I cannot connect it directly to my laptop. It must be done wirelessly. HELP

Hi there, in order to print from your Chromebook to your printer you will need to register it on the Google Cloud Print service. This is because Chromebooks are not designed to have software installed on them (in the way you would install a software driver for a printer on a Windows or Mac machine). Instead they are designed to run applications from the Cloud. The model of printer you have is considered a "Classic" printer by the Google CLoud Print service as it does not have its own internet connection. Here's a link from Google on how to connect your classic printer with Google Cloud Print
Hope this information helps but post back if you're having trouble.

  • HP Deskjet 1010 printer to Chrome book

Hi, I have a Dell Chrome book and just bought a HP Deskjet 1010 printer. I tried all of yesterday to print of documents to no avail. I literally spent the day Googling but have come across different answers. I also bought the USB but some some suggestions say dont use it others do!!. Also some posts say that the printer is not compatible with Chromebooks. Have also registered with Google Cloud printers. I desperately need to print documents off today for interview tomorrow. I have tried various instructions but still not workng PLEASE HELP!! THanks

    Hey there @Hannah1000!
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!
I can see that you have the Deskjet 1010 that you are trying to work with your Chrome book.  Unfortunately the devices are not compatible.  In order to use an HP printer on the Chrome book it will need to be be WiFi connected and support the HP Eprint feature.
The Deskjet 1010 is not Eprint compatible and in order to setup the WiFi in the printer it needs to be plugged into a computer running Windows or Mac and you have to use the CD to configure the WiFi through a USB cable.  The Chrome book only has Google Chrome installed and that is all.  Everything is done through the Google Cloud servers and your unable to install CD's on it.
There is another way to add the Printer to a Chrome book and that's called "add a classic printer".  Using this method will require you to have another computer that the printer is connected to WiFi or USB.  In order for the Chrome book to see the printer this way the other computer will need to be on at all times to share the printer.
I was able to locate a document regarding Connect your classic printers with Google Cloud Print.  If you have a Windows or Mac computer you may be able to set the printer up on the Chrome book this way.  If your unable to set the printer up this way I would suggest checking into printers that are Eprint compatible.
Thanks again for posting on the HP Forums and enjoy your day!

  • Problems with envelope-printing in Address Book: First and Last names

New entries I make in Address Book are printing incorrectly, with Last name then First name. Most of my older entries print correctly as First name then Last name (though oddly I have a small batch of entries I imported ages ago which have always exhibited the same transposition problem).
I have prefs set to display entries by Last name. Problem entries WILL print correctly if I change this to 'display by First name'. (older entries print correctly regardless of 'display by..' pref).
I'm having the same problem if I create a new account, which made me suspect the app was corrupted, but not helped by deleting app and re-installing from Tiger DVD then running combo updater.

    Thank you for the suggestion.
However, it doesn't make sense for the LIST display-order to swap the first-and-last names on an ENVELOPE. Secondly, most of my entries DO print correctly: it's only NEW entries that transpose the first and last names.

  • Using the officejet4500 with the chrome book

i have the officejet 4500 wireless printer and need to figureout how to get it to work with the chrome books? i got as far as emailaddress for the cloud printing and have no clue how to make an email address for the printer. is there an app for the chrome book i can use to just print directly to the officejet 4500 printer?

    Hi,
Printing directly from Chrome OS can only be done with printers who support the HP ePrint service, which is not supported by the HP Officejet 4500 printer.
For the specific model you will need to use another computer to set the printer as a Classic Printer (HP classic printers (non e-Print enabled):

For direct network printing from Chrome OS you will need an ePrint enabled printer, you may find a list of ePrint enabled printers in the following link:

  • Communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print

    Hi,
the communication between HP eprint and Google Cloud Print seems to be broken. At least for me.
The documents do get printed when I print vio Chrome browser or Cloud Print dashboard -- but the status in cloud print remains as "submitted". It seems like somehow the HP eprint status doen't get reported back to cloud print. In HP eprintcenter the log says "printed".
Well, I wonder who will take care of this problem ...  (Hope it will not result in fingerpointing only ...)
    Thanks for your support!

Are you able to log back in later and the status at Google Cloud print update to reflect the true outcome of the print job? Or does it just remain as "submitted". Otherwise, if it is printing and showing in the log at ePrint Center (EPC) as printed, the issue would not be on the ePrint side but on Google's

  • EPrint problem with CP1525nw - connection error

I just installed a CP1525nw in our home network.  It's wired, and we can print and access the printer's web page from every computer - no problems with local printing.
However, I'm not able to successfully complete the ePrint setup. When printing the information sheet using the control panel, I quickly get the message "Connection Error, Check Connection", and it asks me to hit 'ok' to return to the main menu.
I am able to turn ePrint on and off, as well as enable and disable ePrint, both from the printer's webpage as well as the front LED menu.  Each time I toggle the latter, I get a new email address.  This successfully displays in the printer's LED window, so I know the printer is able to connect to the internet.
When I manually go to hp's ePrint website, and try to register my printer using the email address, it fails - unrecognized.
I'm aware that in order to complete the installation, the information sheet must successfully print.  That seems to be the only thing failing.  Any thoughts?
Here is some information about the printer and environment:
    - Apple AP Extreme
    - Printer directly wired to AP
    - IP: 10.0.1.17, DNS 10.0.1.1 (router)
    - Firmware: 20101125
    Thanks again.

Everything is now working just fine.  I wish I could say that I know what changed, but it must be magic.
This morning, after letting the ePrint stuff rest for a few days, I removed the service (using the web server), cycled power on the printer, added the ePrint service to the printer, and now everything is just fine.  I'm able to print from our iPad no problem.
Seems hp fixed something, just not sure what.

  • Iphoto Book ordering problems

After 3 weeks of constant attempts I feel I need to see if anyone out there has a thought on why I receive a return email from my book order "Problems with your order - you have not been charged etc etc"
I have done everything possible from deleting photos, trying EVERY theme, deleting maps, background photos. I have corresponded by email with the Apple help, and I have spent about an hour at the Genius Bar at Apple to see if anyone can solve my problem. Everyone has comeback with "we don't know"
I work with a MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.6.4, have plenty of memory, all software is up to date.
I am just about to reinitialise my hard disk, install iLife 11 and make the book again, as I can see no other way to try to get this book ordered. Hopefully, oh every so hopefully this will solve my problem.
    Any guru help?

Since yesterday there have been many reports from all over the world of people unable to buy a book or any print products from Apple.
Apple has to fix this on the servers.

  • Problem Exporting / Importing print forms with program RSTXSCRP

    Hi!
there is problem Exporting / Importing print forms with program RSTXSCRP.
when I transfer print form from one SAP system to other, logo image and some text is missing... what could be the reason?
Maybe there is other way to transfer print forms between SAP systems without using program RSTXSCRP?
    Will reward,
    Mindaugas

    Hi,
when you transfer print forms from one sap system to another, logos are not transfered automatically. these are actually .bmp files which need to be existing in every client. then only when you run your print program logo can be seen in your print output. hence logos need to be created explicitly in every client where you want to run your print program.
    thanks,

  • Eprint - Problem with ePrint Mobile and Windows Phone

    Good morning,
I purchased a printer Officejet Pro 8600 and I have the following problem:
When we try to print from mobile Nokia Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8, works fine if I print via  attached text files (. DOC,. Txt) or. PDF or text in the message body. But when attachment is, image files (. JPG) does not work and,at the history ePrintCenter,  shows an DISCARDED or  ERROR message (attached copy of the screen). The same image files, sending mail from a PC, print correctly.
    I need help. Thank you.

    Hi kbdseattle,
Thank you for being an active member of the HP Support community.
The only way to ePrint from a Windows-based mobile phone is to email the printer.  You can find the printer's email address by pressing the 'ePrint' icon on the front panel of your printer.  When you press this icon it should display the printer's email address.  If it's not and asking you to accept the terms of service you haven't activated the web services and set up the ePrint functionality of the printer.

  • After having printed 4½ A4-pages the actual print is stopped and replaced by playing card symbols .

Problem with HP PhotoSmart 5524e Problem no 1After having printed 4½ A4-pages of say a six pages document the actual print is broken and replaced by a print of playing card symbols. After some pages with such symbols it begins to wright something which looks as horizontal icicle's "hanging" from the left side of the page. The printout finishes by writing a totally black page which use to cost me an black inc XL-cartridge. Have tried with an other 5524 an get exactly the same problem. Hp support had tried to help without any success. I also got the same problem using three different computers, all of them with Windows 8.1.1.  HP support think that downgrading to delivery status (Win 8.0) on all three computers and then upgrade again should fix the problem. It should means some hundred ours of meaningless work for me because I have about 80 programs of different age installed which has to be repathced etc. and I don´t believe that it solves the problem. What can I do about it? Problem no 2A probably wrong error flag comes up during 15 seconds sporadically (15 to 30 minutes in between) saying; "Scanning to computer not possible any longer". In spite of this message it is still possible to use the printer over WIFI (with the limitation mentioned above). With reference to HP support comes this problem from incompabillity between different HP-units, connected to the same computer or router. Due to HP support should a downgrade and upgrade of my three computer fix HP:s incompability problem between the different units from HP.  A statement I have difficulty to believe in. Problem no 3Some seconds after a printout you can hear some mechanic activity from the printer ending with a sound like a machine gun. Same behaviour from both tested printers. This problem occurs within 1 to 500 hours in between.I bought this printer almost a year ago (2014-08-19) and so far I have not been able to print any document larger than 4 pages as well as it very often is difficult/impossible to start a scan to computer from the computer. During my tests I have expended three sets of XL-inc cartridges which together represents the cost of three printers. I should very much appreciate if somebody could help me out of this problem - HP support cannot!

Unfortunately my hp coputer crashed when trying to install Windows 10 from Windows 8.1.1. I made the same thing from my hp laptop which had the same OS installed and it takes me less than one our and it work perfect. I  now having spent abot 40 hour and hp 4 hour with remote control of my pc in an attempt to install Win 10. It all ended up in a black screen and the compputer sent for repair to hp. For that reason I have not jet been abel to tests your sugested solution, but I will as soon I have my computer back.

  • CUPS problems with PDF printing

I am having all manner of problems with PDF printing.  Recently added a Lexmark MX710 and have 7 machines that were previously printing fine to an X652de a T652 as well as a Samsung CLP770.  All network printers.
Now there are bizarre issues with PDF printing. CUPS version 1.6.1.  The MX710 will blue screen and reboot when printing one specific pdf without fail.  There are all kinds of random nonsensical results when printing from different locations.  A pdf that stalls the X and T652 with "filter error" will print from my own machine to the same printer, using the same versions of cups, .ppd file, and everything package related to cups.
Yet other PDF files will print, while some print complete gibberish, I can't find any rhyme or reason or anything predictable about any of it other than to say printing postscript files works fine all around.
This has been universally in KDE printing through Okular.
I've tried some things I've found suggested, such as modifying the mime.conv as suggested by an old ubuntu thread, adding the a2ps package, all to zero effect.
Last edited by TheWretched (2012-12-08 00:27:41)

At this point the only reasonable explanation I can think of is that the ppd package I downloaded and installed via included shell script from lexmark for the mx710 caused this whole catastrophe.  The only common thread for this problem starting was that I used this on all of the affected machines and they now all manifest problems.  And on four of these machines this is literally all that was done, they were loaded in september, have not been updated via pacman in any way, and are running the exact same version of cups poppler, and okular that they were then, which was working, and now cannot print pdf to any printer at all without causing one of several problems depending on the printer.
I cannot seem to get this reversed though.  I've gone so far as to force remove all the cups packages, and delete the files associated with the install script, but the problem remains afterward.  From what I can see so far all this lexmark package did was display a license agreement, then copy the ppd files in it's folder to /usr/share/ppd/Lexmark.  This particular printer, the mx710 has no .ppd available that I have found other than this one from Lexmark directly.  Open printing doesn't have anything for this model.
This printer's driver has some kind of a cups filter driver with it that the install script presumably installs, I suspect this could be what caused the problem specifically, but I must not be removing it correctly, despite following the file removal suggestions in the Lexmark readme for uninstallation.  CUPS printing is something I am new to and only have a basic understanding of.
To answer some specific questions I nearly forgot, I don't have cups pdf installed.  I have chrome installed which can successfully save pages to PDF, previously it could also print pdf, and presumably it prints everything as pdf given the cups pdf workflow.  That is also broken now too, so printing from the browser causes the printer to fail as well.  If I save as pdf from chrome, and print with adobe reader, it works.

  • EPrint from Android is printing to the wrong printer

This is very odd.  I have a brand new OfficeJet 8500A that I just set up.  I got ePrint configured and created an ePrint account, installed the ePrint app on my Android phone, and tried to test it.  On the phone I put in my printer's ePrint email address, and it correctly identified it as an HP 8500A.
So then I went to try printing a test document, and it said it was going to print it to my 8500A - but it actually printed on my Photosmart 8450!  The Photosmart is on the same home network ast he 8500A, but it doesn't do ePrint as far as I know.  I think it predates the creation of ePrint.  And in any case, I certainly never did any kind of configuration to tell ePrint to use it.
Can anyone explain why it's printing to the wrong printer?

    Hello,
The ePrint Center and ePrint functionality (the ability to send an email to your printer) is different than the ePrint Home and Biz app. The ePrint Home and Biz app can be used with printers that are on your local network. It is possible that you simply selected the 8450 in the dropdown menu on your android device. Please verify you have selected the correct printer and if so, we can do some further troubleshooting.
    Thanks!
