My advice is to uninstall that extension. IMO, you have too many extensions installed, and are asking for problems with Firefox. Got it sorted. AN e-mail to teh support centre got me three replies, two reasuring me that someone os working on it and the third giving me the information that the ID is enabled again and ready to use. All within 24h. Of course without any information as to why the problem came up in teh first place. At least it was swift action.

I have an IMAC, Mountain Lion. Each time I open my mail, a message box appears with the message Mail can't connect to the account "Google", followed by Enter the password for the user *****@gmail.com. The full account that appears is an account that I had previously deleted. I cannot prevent the message box from appearing. What do I have to tweak in order for this annoying box to keep reappearing. I have deleted everything I know of in Google mail and my IMAC mail. Thanks for any feedback
From the Mail menu bar, select
Window ▹ Connection Doctor
Look for the unwanted SMTP (outgoing mail) account in the window that opens. Double-click it. Another window will open, showing a list of all the outgoing mail accounts. The unwanted one will be selected. Click the minus-sign button to delete it, then click OK.
If there's more than one unwanted account, repeat. -
SInce the latest update Firefox has crashed continually for about two weeks now. Continually means at least 10 times a day. Now it does not open at all and I get this message when launching Firefox:

how can i fix thisI had same error, 1st i was running greasemonkey so i disabled it and and it worked ok. turned greasmonkey back on and then just download new version of mwap from playerscripts working ok. looks like version of mwap having issues with change on mafia wars.

I have no idea why my bookmarks wont restore. I am confident that I even tried restoring them at the time of creation of the json file to make sure that they worked, and after i was confident i left them for a month or two then tried to restore them, but it does not work at all. I get Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 (unresponsive script error msgs) and whether i click continue or stop script the bookmarks do not change. Please help - there is a lot of bookmarks there i was relying on.
Not sure if this is appropriate, but I have a similar problem. Yesterday I got an update from MS to my new Win 7 machine. Now all my bookmarks are gone except the three I have in the toolbar.
I have tried following the instructions here but it's not working. First: I can find the bookmark backup files, but don't have any html files there. They are listed as "bookmark-dates-number-a series of letters and numbers, then ==.json."
I'm confused as to what to do next.

I am trying to use the ESP program, an older research program that uses the URL,
chrome://espdesktop/content/desktop.xul.
To get this to run, you are supposed to create a "chrome" folder that includes the text file "installed-chrome.txt" that includes the following directions: content,install,url,file:///c:/Program%20Files/esp4/
However, this does not seem to work with the newer version of Firefox. Is there anyway to work around this?
I tried just creating a folder called "chrome" with these instructions in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\chrome but it did not work. Do you have any suggestions?With what Firefox version did this still work?

--^I had this problem - it appeared to be due to having Firefox 4 with the Firefox Sync installed as an add-on. Firefox 4 has sync included so there is no need to have it as an add-on. I went to the add-on manager and removed Firefox Sync and now appears to be working correctly.
