I cannot load Firefox. I have been using it for years. When I click, the hourglass comes on for about 3 seconds then goes away nothing happens. I kept trying different things don't know what I did just before but at some point, it gave me this error message: Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595

Whenever I try to open another Firefox window (by right clicking on a link or if a link tries to open a window - like printing Google maps/directions), I get a pop-up window that says a script is busy or not responding and gives me the choice to continue or stop script. The new window will only open if I choose stop script. The offending script is always: Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595

Error chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595
When opening Firefox 4.0 Beta 12 the script chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595 stop then I have to stop the script to get the navigator open.
An other message on the navigator says:
Firefox is not able to show the Toolbar. Please re-install the Toolbar. How I do that?
Thanks for your assistance. That indicates an extension is not working properly, possibly one from AVG.
* Open the Add-ons manager (Click the Firefox button and then click Add-ons)
* On the Extensions panel, if you have any AVG add-ons, click on them to select them and then click Disable
* Restart Firefox to see if you no longer get the error
If you do not have AVG, you can repeat the above process with other extensions. For more details on troubleshooting this see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes -
Several months ago I updated Firefox (not sure now which version) and since then it is much slower loading and I get this message before it will load Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595 If I 'stop script' it continues and eventually loads. I prefer Firefox, but Safari loads immediately and so does Internet Explorer.
tavgp is definitely AVG related (AVG with a prefix and suffix). AVG installed the toolbar. This has been an ongoing problem even on Firefox 2, but it hit the most people once Firefox 3 went into production.
There isn't a problem with AVG Free in itself, just with the extension(s) it installs.
There is more information in
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions
but the directions basically tell you to reinstall AVG Safe without the Link Scanner Component. As long as you keep it disabled you're okay. -
