Chromebook 11 support

So...
I bought the chromebook 11 and the thing completely sucks. The charger overheats and doesn't work. You guys no longer have them on your website (even the google chrome store doesn't have them now) and I cannot find support for them anywhere on your website. I was just wondering what's going on with this thing and had to sign up for this message board because there was no other way to get support for this without calling. I'm a university student and this thing completely crapped out right before finals and you guys don't offer any type of support for it. Also, the product couldn't register for the free year of google drive that was supposed to come with it.....

We are a little hamstrung because we are not Official HP but end users like you who just want to try to help.
Here is a charger on eBay at a price even a student can afford:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2A-AC-Wall-Power-Charger-Adapter-Cord-for-HP-Chromebook-11-1101-us-F2J07AA-A...
In what other ways has it "crapped out"? How did you try to get support and failed?

  • Bluetooth does not synch with YouTube video

I like to watch YouTube videos on my Chrombook.  The sound from my bluetooth speaker does not synch up with the video.  My Macbook and Fire tablet do not have this problem.  I've tried 3 different bluetooth speakers, and the HP is the only device that does not synch properly.
I don't see any way of modifying bluetooth on the HP.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?  Is there a fix?

  • Adobe Story support for Chromebook or Android

Any word on Adobe Story support for Chromebook or Android? From what I understand ChromeOS is not much more than an HTML5 browser? I want to get one of the new 8 hour Haswell powered Chromebook laptops this Holiday season under $300. I can understand delaying Adobe Story development on ChromeOS as it is still very small, but Android? There's over 1.5 million Android activations everyday. That's more than the entire population of Canada every month:) .. hard to understand turning a blind eye to these numbers much longer.

UPDATE the web version of Adobe Story runs perfectly on Chromebook, ACER C720 2848 with 2GBs of RAM $199.99 Amazon. Remember to disable any Chrome extensions you might have installed that disable Flash, for instance Flash Block. Also double clicking on the project will not open it, instead click the tiny twirl down triangle next to the Project's name and select, Open from the menu. I wasn't able to install the desktop version (no surprise). This is good news for us that would like a cheap "beater" laptop for scripting that runs more than 8 hours. Now if we only had an Android version of Adobe Story...

  • When will itunes support the google chromebook?

I just got a new Hp google chromebook and itunes does not currently support it. I would like to know why it doesn't support my google chromebook and when it will. I have an iphone and i would like to be able to use it with my google chromebook. Any suggestions?

Someone said: "Buy a real computer, something that's not just a glorified web browser."
I disagree. I judge a computer based on whether it can perform as a computer is expected. Therefore real operating systems would be the following:
    Chromium OS,
    Apple OS
    Linux.
Haven't you tried to use the latest incarceration of Windows? not a typo. That OS is so bad, its a crime. Certainly leaves hardware lacking, no matter what it's on.

  • LaserJet Pro P1102w and Chromebook

I cannot connect my new Google Chromebook to my new hp LaserJet Pro P1102w printer.
The Chromebook requires an address that ends in @HPprint.com.   I have been trying to find out how to register for that email for at least an hour. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I'm ready to box this thing up and return it.  Thanks.

    Hi allglory4him,
Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are trying to setup your Laserjet P1102w to print to it using Google Cloud Print.
To connect this printer to a wireless network you will need a traditional computer not the Chromebook. The embedded web server where you would enable the web services to get your ePrint setup can only be accessed once the printer is connected to the wireless network.   And the only way to connect it to the wireless network is through the setup using a traditional computer which supports printer drivers.
If have access to a traditional computer I have included a document on how to install the printer onto your wireless network.   Once it is connected to the wireless network, please use the document about getting the claim code to activate the web services on your printer.   I have also included a document on customizing the printer's ePrint email address to make it easier to remember.  Once you have that completed you can now setup your Google Cloud Print. I have also included a document about Google Cloud print for your reference.

  • Is the HP Photosmart Premium series C309 compatible with chromebooks

I just bought a Samsung Chromebook -Is my current printer compatible? Its an HP Photosmart Premium series-C309 from 2009
If not then can I download software or do I need to get a new printer?-thanks for your time!

    Hello lths,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
The Photosmart Premium C309 would not be compatible with the Chromebooks in the traditional way. With that being said, you can attempt to add the printer to Google Cloud Print. The steps are shown here: Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer, under HP classic printers.

  • Does the motherboard model L-NC51M support Phenom II X2 cpus

I have the 3000 J115 model and I found out the motherboard it uses is model L-NC51M.  I'm trying to upgrade my cpu and I'm wonder where I can find a list of cpu types that this board supports.
Or if anyone knows of the top of their head which types, that would be nice too.

    Hi,
According to HP's specifications, the socket in the CQ5700f is AM3 rated at 95 watts.
Some AMD processor models come in both 95 watt and 125 watt models.
In theory this AMD processor list for AM3 sockets rated at 95 watt should work.  I wouldn't try the "B" models.
Know what the return policy is before your buy.
Install the latest bios posted for your PC and make sure that your PC is stable before installing a new processor. Clear the CMOS before booting up your PC with the new processor.

  • My Chromebook will not let me install software via google play; so how do I install to a Chromebook?

The instructions for installing my printer software says I need to do so via Google Play. However this does not work on a Chromebook, which is what I have. Chromebook tech support says I cannot download apps from google play, only google chrome store. However, the printer in question is on the chromebook list of being usable with the chromebook. (pixma MG5520) So. . . the question is. . . . how do I install it. . . .there must be a way.

    Hi booknest2,
The PIXMA MG5520 is set up a little differently when using it with a Chromebook than other Android devices. First, let's set it up on your network:
    1. Go to the Home menu or press the Home button.
    2. Use the arrow keys until Wireless LAN Setup appears and select this option.
    3. If a 'WPS' prompt appears, press STOP.
    4. Select the Standard Setup option.
    5. Follow the remaining prompts on the printer menu to connect the unit.
Once your PIXMA MG5520 is connected to your netowrk, please set it up for Google Cloud Printing. You can do that by following this link:
    Setting up Google Cloud Printing
Once set up, if you are getting a "Printer Offline" error, please disable the ECP settings on your PIXMA MG5520 by following these steps:
    1. Turn your PIXMA MG5520 on.
    2. Select ECO Settings from the HOME screen.
    3. Using the up and down buttons, select an item. Using the left or right button, choose OFF or Disable for all the items in this menu.
Once set, please attempt to use Google Cloud Print.
    Hope this helps!

  • Hpe h8-1151sc (Graphiccard support)

Hello i have a hpe h8-1151sc (only sold in scandinavia) - I has the IPISB-CH2 (Chicago) motherboard installed (with I7 2600). Right now i have a GTX 680 installed running wiht a Corsair HX 620 PSU. I am thinking of upgrading to a Radeon R9 290X.
My concerns are the motherboard wont support the card because it is from a newer generation of cards. From google i have learned that the motherboard forexample wont run the 700series from nvidia.
So will the IPISB-CH2 (Chicago) work with the R9 290X or not?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
There are some versions of the AMD R9 290x that might work.  Go to the Sapphire web site and search through the R9 290 models and look for one that has dual mode (UEFI and legacy) or a model that is not designated UEFI.  This particular model, SKU 21226-00 is not designated UEFI enabled. This is a 300 watt graphics card (per internal info) and the card  is 10.9" in length.  You will need both an 8 pin PCI-E power connector and a 6 pin PCI-E power connector. Sapphire indicates a 750 watt PSU.  Many of the HP consumer level PC will not power up with PSUs over 650 watts.  The motherboard in your PC might not be robost enough for the AMD R9 290x.

My new 14-x050nr does not render the following web page properly:
    http://cloud.collectorz.com/opus1269/books
Near the top left of the page are labels "Author" and "All".  Left clicking on them should display a drop down menu for further selections. This does not happen.  There are several other labels on the page with drop downs and none of them work.
I talked to my brother who has an older model ASUS Chromebook and the page functions correctly. Also works correctly on my Windows 7 laptop.
