Chromebook bluetooth

Hello,
I have a chromebook 14, and I am trying to use a MS Bluetooth mouse (Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth). I can see the mouse when I open the bluetooth settings, but when I try to connect the mouse, it says 'connection failed'. The funny thing is, when I open the 'crosh' shell, and then the 'bt_console', I can see the mouse:
crosh> bt_console
[NEW] Controller 34:23:87:BB6:B2 Chromebook [default]
[NEW] Device 00:0D:3A:A4:3C:01 Microsoft Mouse
And I can connect using 'connect 00:0D:3A:A4:3C:01', and from then on the mouse works well.
When I connect the mouse and the press the 'Make/Break connection' button on the mouse, the connection also fails, but with a different message (sorry, system is in Dutch):
Verificatie geannuleerd tijdens verbinden met '00:0D:3A:A4:3C:01'.
In english, that would be: 'Verification canceled while connecting with ...'
Does anybody have a tip how to get the mouse working without the 'bt_console' hack?

Thanks for finding that it connects using the bt_console app!  I've logged a bug against ChromeOS here: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?can=2&q=bluetooth%20microsoft%20mouse&colspec=ID%20...

I have a Chromebook 14 - q070nr.  It doesn't find any bluetooth devices when it scans.  I have three other bluetooth devices (cell phone, remote speaker and my car) .  They all see each other and connect together.  Sounds like I have a hardware problem?

  • Chromebook 14 & Logitech Bluetooth Mouse

I'm trying to operate my HP Chromebook 14, with a Logitech Bluetooth Mouse.
    The Chromebook model is 14-Q063cl.
The Logitech mouse model is M-RCQ142
The Logitech Mouse is recognized, and works correctly for a while, then randomly stops working.
It is necessary to Disable Bluetooth then re-"Enable" Bluetooth on the Chromebook, to get it to work again (for a few minutes).
    What is the problem?

Which model are you using? I am using the Logitech  Performance MX.

  • Got New AC Card, Can I Use old one for Bluetooth

OK, the title pretty much sums up my question.  I got this ASUS wireless adapter
    http://www.asus.com/us/Networking/PCEAC68/gallery/
and a new Nighthawk Netgear router.  My question isn't about configuring them, but so far I've not seen BlueTooth mentioned.  My computer, an HP Envy 700-216 apparently uses a wireless card, that is a 150 Mb/sec, that also handles the Bluetooth.
So my question is, can I keep the old card in, and somehow configure it to only do the Blue Tooth function in the computer, while allowing my new AC card, to function as the wireless adapter, in "AC" mode?  And if so, how do you think I'd accomplish this?
Or should I just remove the other one?  Is there a way to deactivate just the wireless portion, without disabling the Bluetooth?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
You might run into an IRQ sharing problem with two network cards. I would suggest removing the wireless card and get the AC card working.  If you need to pair Bluetooth devices with your PC then consider trying an USB Bluetooth adapter.

I recently purchased a Phoenix 810 with Integrated Bluetooth 4.0 and Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n/ac featuring Dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO technology.  when I purchased the system I used the Bluetooth to connect to external bluetooth speakers with windows 8.1.  I could easily see this menu option in my network option in the control panel.  Recently I tried to use the speakers but could not however they show in my system devices.  I also tried to add new and discovered thar Windows is not longer showing anything with Bluetooth in the control panel.
I have downloaded latest drivers but Windows still does not recognize bluetooth in the control panel anywhere.  Any idea why I could setup and pare bluetooth deviced and now I can't?

    Hi,
I am running Windows 8.1 with Bluetooth and Bluetooth does not show in the Control Panel.  Look for the Bluetooth icon on the task bar.  See the below image.
Once you pair up and acknowledge the passcode on both devices this the following screen should appear (example).

  • Envy 23 all in one Win 8.1 bluetooth doesn't receive photo from phone

Trying to upload a jpg file from my phone to my windows 8.1 Envy 23 All in One via bluetooth.  The PC and phone pair up ok and phone shows it is sending.  When the phone starts sending, the PC's bluetooth device status changes from not connected to connected.  After about a minute, the phone says the transfer failed and the PC status goes back to not connected.   The phones error message says request could not be handled correctly.  Also, the bluetooth icon window doesn't ever include selections to receive file or send file.  HP Support connected remotely, reinstalled the bluetooth driver, deleted the device, paired up again, but no change with the transfer.  HP concluded it is a hardware problem and says to send the PC in for repair. (Still under warranty.)  Doesn't sound like hardware to me, and I don't want to be without my PC and possibly have to reinstall all programs and data when it returned. Thinking of getting a cable to connect directly to the PC.  Any ideas what might be wrong?

    Hi,
Open up Bluetooth settings ---> Share and make sure that box to Allow remote devices to browse, send and receive pictures, music and other files is checked. The click on Open Bluetooth Exchange Folder -->right mouse click for properties, Share and the review your exchange settings.
Check the Permissions on the above image so that your know for sure what you are allowing for transfer types etc..
It is possible that the WIFI adapter is failing during a transfer process if the software is properly setup.
Be patient and Bluetooth transfers can be slow.
You should get a notification on the PC that the file was successfully received.  Additionally, your phone should be indicating an up transfer.

  • Need Wireless adapter with Bluetooth for Dv7-4287cl

I have a DV7-4287cl and it did not come with Bluetooth on the network card.  the built in Card is the Broadcom 4313, HP part number 593836-001.  I cannot find any reference to a option to swap this card out for one with Bluetooth.  I spent over an hour on the phone today with HP and they offered no help.
The product number of the Dv7 4287cl is: XZ031UA#ABA   I don't know if the serial number is needed or not, so please let me know if this is important.  I really need to get this resolved as an external USB BT adapter is not acceptable.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I suspect that you may need the below part.  The part number should be 537921-001 Bluetooth SB module.  HP Partsufer didn't list the bluetooth part for your DV7 but did show it for my DV7-4100t.  It 's a fairly complex installation process.  You might want to get a quote from a professional that has access to the HP Partner Services Library.

  • HP - Officejet 100 Wireless Printer Setup with Chromebook

I am considering on purchasing this printer to use in my dorm. I have an HP Chromebook 14 and wanted to know how to connect it to the printer. Does it just work with bluetooth straight out of the box after I insert my wifi settings? DO i just turn on Bluetooth and send the files? I don't have a desktop to install the driver, like most normal printers would require,  so I am relying on Google Cloud Print and Bluetooth printing. There is no way to install a driver on my Chomebook because that is not how the are made to work. Is there any other way to set it up without have to install any drivers? Or will it just work once I connect it to either wifi or Bluetooth? Any help is helpful.

    Hi,
Your printer isn't web enabled so may may not be able to setup google cloud print via blue tooth.
There is a  HP 1200w NFC/ Wireless Mobile Print accessory for your OJ100 mobile printer to enable it to support wifi printing:
Here's the link that shows how to set up your OJ100 with the HP 1200w:

  • Bluetooth does not synch with YouTube video

I like to watch YouTube videos on my Chrombook.  The sound from my bluetooth speaker does not synch up with the video.  My Macbook and Fire tablet do not have this problem.  I've tried 3 different bluetooth speakers, and the HP is the only device that does not synch properly.
I don't see any way of modifying bluetooth on the HP.
Has anyone else noticed this problem?  Is there a fix?

    Hi @59seank ,
    Thank you for your inquiry.
HP does not support the Chrome OS.

How do I use a bluetooth headset with garageband? I can't get it to work after many tries.

How do i use my Platronix bluetooth with iPhone4 to listen to music.
Its a mono bluetooth paired with the phone.
I dont want to buy a new stereo headset but can i use this same one.

One way is to sync the contacts from the old iPhone to iCloud. Then when you turn on the new phone and set it up for iCloud and turn on the Contacts in Settings >iCloud, they will come to the new phone. http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

  • How do I make Iphone proritise answering with bluetooth rather than ringing on phone?.

Previously, when I received a phone call in my car, the bluetooth radio would ring and then I would take the call by pushing button on steering wheel. Ever since installing latest IOS the bluetooth device connects but the phone just vibrates (doesn't even ring) The radio shuts off but the audio ring does not sound. Have to answer the phone manually. Defeats the purpose of having handsfree!! I note that when I phone voicemail while in car the screen shows options to use bluetooth, Iphone or speaker phone. When I am in the car I JUST want to use handsfree bluetooth (it is the LAW!!). Is this just a glitch in the new operating system update? and if so, when will it be repaired?

You can't. If iPhoto is open when you connect the phone then it will offer itself from importing.
    Regards
    TD
