Chrominance subsampling lose or profiling  fcpx

Hello
I really like FCPX but....
There is one thing I have notice, when I import/export the same clip with uncompressed setting( best quality), I am expreriencing some chroma lose.
Is it due to automatic color profile or chrominance subsampling lose?
These are the samples of the same clip through FCPX vs AE.

  • Reset firefox button does not appear in Troubleshooting information. Not even in safe mode. Every time I shut down computer firefox loses my profile.

As stated above, firefox loses my profile every time I restart the computor. I have created new profiles and changed the location and changed it back again to no avail. I now want to just restart firefox in default mode but the default button does not appear, not even in safe mode.

Yes. Sorry, I should have mentioned that there have been several reboots involved during the troubleshooting.
I am running Firefox in an admin level account in this case - so, there shouldn't be any permission issues there.
I have tried shutting down both the desktop firewall software, and the anti-virus, and the problem still persists exactly as described. (Obviously, I disconnected the system when I did that [smile].)
All other software on the system that I have tried, interacts with the file dialog just fine ... so, I don't think it is anything central like some corruption associated with the file dialog itself.
As I said, it is most perplexing.

  • Why does it repeatedly lose my Profile?

This happens on both my Laptop and my Netbook:
On a completely random basis, Firefox will lose my pinned tabs. So far as I can tell, it keeps my bookmarks and my add-ons (although it's hard to remember all of them).
Even though I have the options set to "remember tabs from last time", it not only loses the pinned tabs, but non-pinned tabs that were left open as well. I'm getting a little frustrated having to restructure my tab arrangement once every 2 or 3 weeks.
And, yes; I've already followed the instructions for profiles...that doesn't seem to be the problem. And, yes; "remember tabs from last time" is STILL checked even after they've all been lost.

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.
App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder.
Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

  • HELP! Newly calibrated monitor loses ICC profile setting while computer is on, in middle of editing!

I'm so frustrated!!! Just a few days ago I calibrated my monitor with my new Huey Pro. Today in the middle of the computer being on for hours, at some point, without my knowing it, the ICC profile shifted from the new, calibrated setting BACK to the old default profile!!   I didn't realize it and went about editing ... messed up so many files!
I'm using Windows Vista x64 and I've read about this happening to other Vista users, but does anyone know how I can FIX this?? I'm totally overwhelmed at this point.   Thanks for you help.

Ans to Q1 - Macintosh HD 1/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter/ICCProfiles/ contains installed with driver and Macintosh HD 1/Library/Colorsync/Profiles were installed by the download.
Ans to Q2 - Epson put them inside the "package" to keep them safe. You can access the package contents via the Ctrl+click or right+click context menu item labelled "Show package contents" (see attached screenshot), but I would
strongly urge you not to remove them from the package. You really don't need to care where they are because they're in the safest place. It's when folk try to get smart that the system bites them.

  • LR 4 and custom DNG camera profiles... they are not embedded?!

i have the colorchecker passport for some days.
    my workflow:
import the .CR2 raw files from memorycard as DNG copy into lightroom.
create a DNG camera profile with the colorchecker passport (LR export -> xrite colorchecker).
then i choose the created camera profile and i set the whitebalance.
all working fine... as it should.
my problem is, i don´t want to have a hundred DNG profiles, i will sure create that much over the time, on my harddisk.
i think it´s messy and it´s also not very save to have the profiles only as separate files, in case you lose the profiles.
i thought the camera profile can be embedded INTO the DNG file.
i thought the camera profile is written into the DNG files when i write the metadata back into the files.. but it seems not.
it seems the DNG camera profile is only embedded into the DNG image file when i EXPORT the DNG file again with the LR export dialog.
    for example:
i choose the camera profil "MY 5D MK2 PROFIL_1" for an image and then save the metadata back into the DNG image file.
then i delete the camera profile "MY 5D MK2 PROFIL_1" from harddisk.
the next time i open LR and select the same image ... the cameraprofile is reverted back to "adobe standard" and the profil i have created is gone.
when i EXPORT the image as DNG, then even after i have deleted the DNG cameraprofile "MY 5D MK2 PROFIL_1" from the hardisk.... the profil is still in the DNG image.
that´s what i want... but i have to export all files again as DNG files.
i would really like to get rid of this extra step.
i hope my english is good enough so you understand what my problem is.
can anyone share a light on this?
is this the only way to embedd the DNG camera profile or im doing something wrong?
    intel i7 2600k, win7 64bit, 16 GB ram, LR 4 final.

possible.... but imho that can lead (at least in my case ) to problems.
in the case when you forget to update the DNG manually and delete the profiles (because you think they are already embeded via STRG+S).
or when you send them to someone without updating the DNG preview... i think that is unessesary complicating things without gaining a real benefit.. not?
afaik there is no filter option so you can create a smartfilter for images that need to be updated this way?

  • Camera Profile Beta - will it port?

First, thank you very much to Adobe for creating these new camera profiles per:
    http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles#Camera_Profiles_and_DNG_Profile_Editor
For the Fuji S5 and Nikon D80 this makes a major difference.
So, here's the question - if I set my pictures to "Adobe Standard beta 2" profile and in a couple months you go out of "beta" and the profile becomes "Adobe Standard", are the pictures I assigned "Adobe Standard beta 2" going to lose their profile or get messed up.
I assume when this becomes production I will remove and reinstall the production version and/or the production one will replace the beta profiles. In which case will the "fixed" naming of profiles cause me problems?
If the answer is yes, will there be a way to find and replace the broken profiles at some future date with the correct production one (I have a very large catalog)???
    Thanks in advance!

I actually read that before going ahead and deleting the beta 1 profiles.
"Camera Raw 4.6, 5.1 and Lightroom 2.1 will automatically switch to
using the beta 2 profiles instead."
This statement seems rather clear, but when I checked afterwards the
profile selection was empty on *all images* that had the beta 1 profile
    assigned before.
What does that mean? Did the automatic switch not work or is this just a
    cosmetic glitch?

  • I cannot import files on to FCPX.

I have tried everything, trashing preferences and reinstalling app, but nothing seems to work. I deleted movie files to make space on the hard drive, since then I cannot get fcpx to load any files and work properly. What am I doing wrong?

    MartinKentishFilms wrote:
I deleted quick time movie files. The app then would not load properly. I then binned the whole app, and re-installed it from the app store. FCPX would not load at all at that point. I trashed preferences using digital rebellion. No joy. I then wiped the hard drive (backing everything up this time) and re-installed OSX mountain lion (latest version) and then again reinstalled the app. FCPX now loads, but it will not load any projects in the viewer or import files from any of my sd cards. It is not a hardware problem I have checked, I dont care if I lose files from FCPX I just want to be able to use the program  again.
Did you perform a clean install?

  • Sync Android profile back to desktop

I had difficulty with my FF29 on Windows 7 desktop and had to do a clean reinstall to resolve the issue. That caused me to lose my profile on the desktop version. I would like to sync my Android profile from my mobile FF onto my desktop FF29 so that I can recover my bookmarks etc to the desktop. I did this a couple years ago but I can't seem to make it work now. Is this option still available and if so how do I make it work?

Assuming* that the profile on the Android device is where you have set up a new sync account?
If you confirm the account and then add the account to a new profile on the desktop this is how I understand it to work as well :-)
If you would like to experiment first, download beta and make an account there, attach it to the desktop and see if the bookmarks sync. It worked for me.
    Hope this helps.

  • Device Group Profile Drops after changes are saved

Why do Device Group Profiles drops after applying a change? Some will get it no problem but some lose the profile thus losing network connectivity then requiring manual intervention.

Thanks to all who replied, however..
If the settings were stored int he CPL file ( which would be very odd but there it is ) I would expect that I could create a CPL file with the settings I want on one computer, and copy them to the same folder on another computer whose settings I want to standardize in the domain, however, this does not appear to be the case. I copied the entire ..\Program Files\Quicktime folder from one computer which had the settings I wanted, to another computer which didn't. The settings did not follow the copied Quictime folder and contents, so, with all respect and gratitude due to those who replied, I don't think settings are stored in the CPL file or any other file in the Quicktime folder.
In any case, I don't really care where they are stored, I just need a way to propagate a single set of settings across multiple computers in a domain. I've never run across an application before that was so reistant to this type of thing...
    Thanks again

  • Server 4 - Profile Manager

I recently upgraded to OS X 10.10 and Server 4, the upgrade appeared to have gone without a problem and data migrated across the server app, however, Profile Manager will not start, (It does, but only for a few seconds then turns off again) I have also noticed that another mac on the network can no longer backup to the time machine service I have running, which worked fine, pre-upgrade.
I really don't want to format or lose my profile manager data as I don't fancy re-enrolling 200 iPads,
any help or direction to go in would be appreciated,
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
Can you look in /Library/Logs/ProfileManager/devicemgrd.log and see if there's a big huge warning about missing directory nodes and the service being disabled so as to not delete all your users and groups from Profile Manager? If you see that (it's about 10 lines long and should be very obvious), it should list the missing directory nodes. You either need to get the missing nodes back online, or if you don't need the users/groups from the offline nodes, simply unbind from the offline directories.
If this is not the problem, can you paste the last 50 or so lines from that same file into this discussion?

  • Downloaded Firefox 4--computer asks over and over to restart, Firefox will not load, cannot remove it!!

I received an update message after my system had installed the newest Firefox 3. something, approximately 4 days ago. (Today is 3/22, so about 3/17--18) The newest update , when started, took me to the Mozilla homepage, where It was suggested I download and comment on the new Firefox 4---I do not normally do this, but am so impressed with Firefox versus most others, that I did, now, I cannot open Firefox at all, the older version, 3. something, is not in my system, only 4, but my system/PC upon trying to open the new Firefox, prompts me over and over to restart the system, (which I have done 3 times) I figured I would then simply remove it, (Firefox 4) and either try it again, or re-install the newest 3. something---I cannot remove it, even using my anti-virus program to do so, it simply prompts over and over to restart, wether I try to open, remove, or access it in any way---I do not wish to use system restore, but that seems my only option, please help!!!

I had the same problem and the solution is quite simple:
    - delete all data that has to do with Firefox and Mozilla
    - Reinstall the new version Firefox 4
You have to make sure that everything is deleted and well yes you will lose your profile data but at least it works again without any problem.

  • When Firefox shows me an update and asks if I'd like to update, I click continue, but it doesn't update. It just goes to a "software update" window and says "connecting to the update server..." and then doesn't do anything else. It never updates. HELP!

When I sign on to Firefox, a "Software Update" pops up and asks if I'd like to update Firefox. I click Yes/Continue and when I do, the page says "Downloading Firefox" - connecting to the update server... - but it never finishes. It continually shows the blue/white striped line.

Start at '''http://www.mozilla.com''' and download the latest
version. At the completion of the download '''don't let the setup
start Firefox for you''', when the setup ends, start Firefox in your
normal manner this way you will be less likely to create a new profile.
The extra startup pages are temporary -- read them. The next time
Firefox comes up you should be back to starting with your normal home page.
Note: Firefox must be down once the install starts.
:Close Firefox with File>Exit. Then make sure Firefox is not running --
:On Windows: check the "Processes" tab in the Windows Task Manager.
:On Mac: Firefox > Quit then Command+option+Esc, if Firefox running use Force quit
    '''Permission errors on Mac:'''
"If you were getting permission errors on a Mac, download the latest
Firefox version, then uninstall and reinstall Firefox. '''Do not let the uninstall remove remove anything but Firefox itself'''; otherwise, you will lose your profile directories and files as they contain your settings,
bookmarks, history, extensions, passwords, and cookies.
If you can't download as mentioned above, find your system and the Firefox version you want in releases, download and start the install as seen above

  • How can I see the alpha channel in the channels palette?

Hello, mi format plugin loads a rgba image. I see it with transparency, that's ok, but when I go to the channels tab I only see 4 items (RGB, Red, Green and Blue).
How can I see the alpha channel of my file in the channel tab?
    Thanks!

OK, something must be wrong... but I don't find it!
That's my whole code (resumed). I ommit some code (saving file code (not used) or main function, where I only call te "DoSomething" functions. You can see that I use layers. The DoReadContinue function is only used to show the preview.
In the DoReadStart function I set the parameters for the layers (and the preview), and I fill the "data" and "layerName" params in the DoReadLayerContinue function. I hope you can understand the code!

And that's the image that I obtain loading a 8 layer image:
The layers have transparency (when I set "transparencyPlane" to  -1, or 0, or 1, or 2, or 3, or 4....., I got the same result!). The blending mode is still "normal". I had set it to "linear dodge" The "isVisible" param works OK.
    Alpha 1 is still black.
Is possible that I need to set something in the .r file? I had to add "FormatLayerSupport { doesSupportFormatLayers }," to manage layers, for instance.

  • OPM/Oracle Order Management

What are the pro's and con's of switching from OPM Order Fulfillment to Oracle Order Management?
We use Order Fulfillment now and are concern we will lose the profile functionality when and if we upgrade.

OPM Order Fulfillment is a simple to use Order Entry and Shipping application that meets the needs of many process manufacturers.
Oracle Order Management is more flexible and configurable to suit a number of different industries. Oracle Process Manufacturing is integrated
to Order Management and has functionality to support entry of order quantities in two units of measure, as well as designation
of a preferred quality grade and automatic allocation of process inventory.
In place of the Order Profile (or order template) functionality available in Order Fulfillment, we recommend using the Copy Order
functionality in Order Management. You can establish a special order type in Order Management (you can call it Template or
Profile) and assign a workflow to the order type that makes it "non-transactable" (the order stays in an "entered" state so that
it can't be booked or shipped). You can query on these special order types and copy them to create standard orders. When you
copy an order in Order Management, you can change the order type, so the Template order can be copied and the new order
    type can be "Standard".

  • Migration assistant form a Firewire drive back to a MBP

    Hi
My MBP has been returned for a replacement (3rd Time) and I have made a complete clone of the hard drive with on a fire wire drive. I would like to know if I can use migration assistant to transfer my details using the firewire drive. I don't want to do a complete system transfer, but only my settings etc like migration assistant does it. I cannot loose e-mails and reinstall everything this time round again...
    Please advise.
    Regards
    Mike

If you made a clone of the drive, why not just clone it back on the repaired MBP. That way you would be sure all your files, settings etc. are on your new computer. The Migration Assistant will miss some files. I frequently lose monitor profiles and many apps, such Adobe CS, are broken by MA and need to be reinstalled.
