CIC Configuration

Hi,
I am trying to configure the CIC in our system but somehow unable to complete it. After doing the following steps, I am getting a strange error;
1. Created a framework ID (assigned Visible and Hidden parameters)
2. Created a profile ID and assigned to framework ID
3. In the Org unit, I assigned my user name and for the Org unit I have created an infotype for CIC profile.
But I get the error 'save of framework profiels failed'.
It would be great if someone can provide some inputs on this or give me a cookbook.
- Roopesh

Step 1:
Create Framework Id( assign hidden & visible components)
Step 2: Create CIC profile
Step 3: create Org unit and assign person
Step 4: Assign CIC profile to Org. unit (or) person
Path : Easy access screen
Logistics>Customer service>Customer Interaction center>Adminstration>CIC structure>Org.Structure(Change,T.code-PPOMW)>select Org. unit
In this screen on the top i.e menu bar find Go To
Go To>detail Object>Enchanced object description
Now u r in Maintain object page(T code-PP01)
Now in the Active tab page select CIC profile
Now in menu bar Edit>create infotype
Again u r in new page(T code-PP01)
Enter the CIC profile Id which u have created in customizing
Run T code- CIC0
I hope u r able to see the screen now
Reward Points if it helps

    hi check this...
IC WebClient : Prior to 4.0 CRM used to have the Interaction centee on winclient. this emeans that you when you open the CIC, normal SAP GUI with all the CIC functionality is displayed. From 4.0 onwards, they have introduced another concept called Interaction Centre WebClient. This enables you to have all the Winclient features avaialbe to you on Internet Explorer. For you to unergo SAP Training, you have a course called CR410 - IC WebClient.
ICSS : Internet Customer Self-Service - is a part of E-Commercre (CR800).Training on this is avaialble from SAP Academy (CR800-E Commerce). This enables you to implement the Service Functionality on the Internet. You basically carryout this implementation in a component calle XCM (Extended Configuration Management). You would have the CRM transaction types configured in order for the customers to access from the web site.

  • Configurable Products in Service Process (CIC)

    Hello,
If I add a configurable product to a service order in CRMD_ORDER the configuration tab is displayed correctly.
However, if I add a configurable product to a service order in the CIC it is not. I presume this is a feature!
I tried modifying the screen sequence control for screen profile type TSRV to include the configuration tab (TSRV_ID_CONF) but it hasn't worked.
Has anybody had this problem before and can give me a pointer? I've raised an OSS message with SAP but they are very slow in responding at the moment.

    Hi Stuart,
Did you get any response from SAP. Could you please share.
    Thanks

    Hi Pradeep,
I would recommend you to read the IPDLC Whitepaper available on

  • Attaching Application Area with HTML configuration in CIC

    Hi Folks,
I am facing a problem when in configure Custoemr Interaction Center i want to configure my application Area with the HTML configuration .
Please any give how shud i start to do configure it .
    Regards,
    Siddique

Customer Service->Customer Interaction Center (CIC)->Component Configuration->Application Area->Maintain HTML Configuration for Application Area.
    1. Determine which html page you would like to be able to display in the Application Area. The html page can be either internet, intranet or a custom developed page.
    2. Create an Html Configuration for each page you want to be able to display.
In the Html Configuration specify details such as a description and the path to the html page. Note that you can also specify an SAP Web Repository object.
Further details to be specified include the browser buttons that should be available.
In case your html page is custom developed and will call Action Box transactions, you must also specify the Action Box configuration that contains those transactions.
Specify external and internal parameter settings.

  • Unable to view Service notification in CIC fact sheet

In the Customer Interaction Center for Utilities(CIC0), I'm unable to view a certain service notification under a custom fact sheet. However, if I try to view it by accessing CIC from ECC, it is visible there. What could be the possible issue?

It is working fine now. Actually I had some DML configuration data in the old DS and it got replicated in the new DS instance. So whenever I click on the ServiceConfiguration tab it tries get some config details about that service and ultimately fails to get so. When I deleted the entry in LDAP, I can see all the services available.

  • Event handling in SAP R/3 CIC

    Hi,
I am working on CIC modification  ( SAP 4.6 -- its R/3 CIC not CRM) , where in  the FM CIC_START_FRAMEWORK
I could see the framework and the different components Subscribing to events like :
    ACTION_CONFIGURE
    ACTION_EXECUTE
    GLOBAL_CONFIG_MOD
    OK_CODE
Could someone explain where exactly these EVENTS are maintained/configured and briefly on how this event handling is designed in CIC.
    Regards,
    Abhilash.T

    Hi Florian,
Thanks a lot for the response, few more points :
    1. How the user action on the CIC screen are linked to the events ..(any configuration done for this??).
    2. Will the Call back functions will be acting as the event handlers.?
    3. If custom events are to be maintained in CIC , where it can be configured ,,ie should we call FMs
CIC_EVENT_SUBSCRIBE , CIC_EVENT_RAISE explicitly inside the program or can they be configured?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,

  • How to set up a link between sap fica transaction and cic front office

    Hi Guys,
How to configure between SAP FICA transaction (FPR1 for create installation plan) to CIC front office.
I did some changes in FPR1 transaction, same changes which are not reflecting on CIC screen, when i log on to CIC0 and select the create install plan, It is automatically go to FPR1 but it is not showing with that changes.
I checked all the way but it is missing the link some where. plz drop any ideas on this.
    Thanks
    Venkat.

Hi Matt, create a column of type "enhanced rich text." Then in your datasheet view, double click on the field in that column and use your "insert" tab to upload a file. You'll then see the file in this cell and you can open it straight
    from the datasheet view.

I have created alert category in ALRTCATDEF on ABAP side, and the created one is also reflects in RWB--> Alert configuration.
The problem is when I'm selecting the alert category(created one) it is not reflecting in the selected criteria to move further.
It is not giving me any error of authorization and also I'm not able to create any further action after selecting the created category.
My Question here is what are the roles required to create Alerts.

  • ABAP Report in CIC

I have configured an action box for the CIC, but my requirement is to display a custom report from R/3 in the user screen, I created a new bussiness object in (SWO1) and created a new method with the single line:
    CALL TRANSACTION 'ZXXX'.
I already put this method in a new transaction for the action box, but when I try to run the method the system display this message:
RFC system Error: Screen output without connection to user
    Any help?
    It would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello Alejandro
I really do not know what CIC means yet the RFC failure message points to the following point:
    - You try to start (and display) a report on a remote system yet the RFC user in the RFC destination is not of type "Dialog" (but, most likely, of type "Communications", i.e. a technical user).

  • Alerts configuration in XI

    Hi All,
Could you pls let me know about the Alerts configuration steps in detail or pls let me know use full links
    Thanks in advance,
    Nousheen.

    Hi NOWSHEEN TARIQ  ,
Alerting is an function of Runtime Workbench along with Message archiving,End-to-end monitoring, Performance Monitoring,Cache monitoring.
Alerting is no longer dependent on the configuration and activation of end-to-end
monitoring. Consequently, the delay between when an error occurs in message
processing and the creation of an alert is significantly reduced. Furthermore, you no
longer need to schedule the report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET as a
background job.The Runtime Workbench has CCMS Alert Monitor thru which
You can now configure one new CCMS Alert Monitor per Adapter Engine for
adapter-specific processing errors.Alerts triggered by the Runtime Workbench can now be forwarded to the CCMS Alert
    Monitor and displayed there.
    See also SAP Note 824039.
Thru Runtime Workbench we can access alert inbox, alert configuration
In process Integration with Central SAP Monitoring Infrastructure we Drill down to individual process steps and Use SAP Web AS Alert Framework.
In SAP Web AS Alert Framework, we Classify errors and Alert channels (such as e-mail) available.
