CIC0 Transaction description field

Our transaction description field has been configured in such a way, it has drop down option to select. And when i select any drop down, there is a pop up that appears where i need to select the product component. When doing so tranaction description gets populated
Could someone tell me where was this configured as i need to change the transaction description drop down and the product list thats available

Creation of a product description field of length 250 car. used for search?

Hi all,
we need to create a specific description field for products with a length of 250 (the standard description is too short at 40 car, =>table COMM_SHTXT) . That field should also be added to the search criteria.
What would be the best solution for this creation , given that the field must exist also in ECC SD from where the product is replicated to CRM :
-creation of a Z-append to the product table in ECC (table MARA?) and a corresponding include in the product table in CRM (COMM_PRODUCT) ?
-creation of an attribute in ECC (or Z-append) and creation of a "set attribute" in CRM (i.e transaction COMM_ATTRSET), but there are warning in CRM when you create an attribute of length > 132.
-using the standard Texts (no limitation of lenght) attached to products : is a search possible on these texts?or too complicated/poor performance ?
Regarding the display in CRM UI, is it possible to display all the 250 caracters if the field is a customized "set attribute" or a Z-append? It seems that it is not possible to display a string field on more than one line in the UI configuration, or even, on more than 8 columns in an assignment block?

well, I have found at least how to replace the error message (length of max 75 car for PC UI) . Instead of trying to edit manually table T100C, there is an entry in customizing SPRO (cross appl/SAP Product/basic settings/Define Characteristics of System Messages
) which allows to customize standard messages , and so change from Error to Warning.

Receivables Items and Description Fields

Hi,
We are working in Oracle Applications 11i and I have an inquiry in the Receivabkes module.
From Transactions->Transactions Lines form (Form Name : ARXTWMAI) we have the info of item, description, etc.
As we are using another system to enter direct selling info/invoices, we are not using oracle order management module, and we have no setup regarding the items in oracle receivables module.
So, my question is: can we create a LOV for the two fields ITEM and DESCRIPTION? what are the possible solutions?

Not sure exactly what you are asking..but
A. Item field is not mandatory...so you can leave it blank..if you have no use for it
B. Description field is mandatory....you can enter any free text.....OR pull up LOV ...which will list standard memo line you've setup in AR and select one of the memo lines.

Transaction SE16: Field selection (User-Specific Settings) is NOT working for ALL tables

Hi Guru’s,
I have an issue in Transaction SE16, Field selection (User-Specific Settings) is NOT working in Tables (ALL tables).
Following is the screenshot attached for your kind reference,
That is in the initial screen of transaction SE16 if I choose Filed Name or Filed Label only the technical details (Field Names) are appearing and not the descriptions like Client, Purchasing Doc, and Company Code Doc. Category Document Type etc…
Right now I am using ECC6 and EHP7 SAP system.
Please help me to resolve this issue by implementing any OSS note or User Role creations or any technical changes required in system.
Hope the requirement is clear and in case need any clarification please revert back.
NOTE: Right now in Development System we don’t have any successful user to compare the settings.

How to make Measuring Point Description Field scrollable on the Detail Read Screen

In the Measuring Point Read Detail Screen (Rounds Manager), the description field does not have a scroll bar like it does on the Point Read Counter Detail Screen. This means that the end-user has to arrow-over to the right on the handheld device to see the entire description. We changed the transaction property to be the same as that on the measuring point field on the Counter screen but that did not resolve the issue. We are assuming that the field width is defined in columns but are not sure if columns is the same as pixels. It seems like there is some type of behind the sceens calculation based on the number of pixels used by the characters in the description. The transaction property does have word wrap activated but it seems to make no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done to make the measuring point description have a scrollbar and have the description wrap? The Rounds Server is version 2.3.

FIAA AS01, AS02 format & list in the description fields

Hi Guru,
I am adm. I have to do in:
ANLA-TXT50 link to the table with the list of names (create table z* and link it to this field)
ANLA-TXA50 display the date in special format
so in the transaction AS01, AS02 the users can in Description field choose the name from the list and in the Additional description field displays the dates in correct fomat.
How and where can I do these???

These transactions don't resolve my problem.
Could you help me to do:
1. I have to create table Z* Where and how can I do it?
2. In the transaction AS01, AS02, I have to assign under button F4 this above table in the field ANLA-TXT50
3. In the transaction AS01, AS02, I have to set the display date format in the field ANLA-TXA50 e.g. '123 00 45 89' (now it is '123004589' )

Add description fields to the demand simulation screen on CTM

Dear SAP Gurus,
We have a requirement to add the description fields to the demand simulation screen inside the CTM, do you know how to do this? The description fields are not available in the standard layout, I couldn´t find any exit or BADI to insert more fields on the screen.
Do you have any suggestion?

I enhanced the structure(UKM_S_BP_CUSTOMER_EXTENSION) with new custom fields from the badi UKM_BP_ADD_FIELDS but there is documentation for creating the new screen to place those new fileds i created on transaction UKM_BP.
I have looked at BDT Business data toolset

Problem with CIC0 transaction OK codes

Hi Experts,
We are using CIC0 transaction in CRM 3.1 system. As you know there is a button "Reset all fields" ( the one with a crooked arrow sign ) which is used to reset all the fields before entering the next business partner. This button is not working consistently. In my system, I am getting an OK CODE of "%_GC 117 1" when I click this button. But, when the actual user ( who is in a geographically different location ) clicks this button, he gets an OK CODE of "CSEARCH_DELETE". As a reslut I am not able to provide some functionality the user asked for. I checked the SAP GUI version, Patch Level, OS Version, and IE version and settings. There is no difference in these between my PC and user's PC. What could be the problem ? Is it due to some problem with BSP ? Please advise.

OK CODE? Hmmmm... are you sure that BSP even in sight of transaction CICO, the one with the crooked behaviour? No ideas. This does not sound like BSP.
But if you feel like experimenting, check whether it is language dependent (EN vs DE). This is just wild shot over my shoulder as I exit stage right.

I want to editable description field in my web dynpro application

Hi expert,
The requirement is to make the Description field editable. However, the container for the dynpro only appears to allow for a certain type of action and is essentially used to display the Line Item details, giving no option to change the Line Item Description.
so i want to editable in this description field in my web dynpro application /SAPSRM/WDC_DOTC_PC_I_BD .

The name of the view is V_PC_DOTC_ITM on which we have the records. On each line item there is a description field which is of type (LinkToAction). I want to enable user so that it can change the Description text (I will handle the action). Also, if you have any idea about updating the database table from here as it needs to be updated in BBP_PCPOS table.

Is there a way to have the description field in a calendar list item to support enhanced rich text?

We have a user who has a few hundred calendar items created in outlook. If you open the calendar item, the description includes tables with borders, shading, etc. It seems that the description field in Sharepoint calendars only support basic rich text,
so if I copy the items from the user's calendar to the sharepoint calendar, the formatting is lost. Is there any way to create a custom calendar with enhanced rich text for the description field?

This is a workaround that is working for us. I created a new column "Event Description", selected "Plain Text" and then created a basic workflow that updated Description from Event Description. #160 is no longer showing.
Please be aware that the trick to this is that you must write everything in a string. In other words, don't use the Enter key.
In my case it was worth it as we couldn't rebuild and the user needed a valid and quick fix.

Is there a way to display again the description field by clicking on the gold star near the url (useful to type memos about this site)?

In the previous versions of Firefox, when you click on the star near the url, you can add this website on your favorites. Another click and you can edit some fields about this bookmark, like the url, the folder, etc...
But with FF17, the Description field is no longer there. You can only find it when managing your bookmarks, that is not really user friendly.
Is there a way to add again the description field when clicking on the gold star? It's very useful for adding notes about this website, and it's also synch with addins like Xmarks

Then the keystroke to delete depends on which version of iPhoto you have. All the keyboard shortcuts are under the Help menu.

Error when creating a description field. MySQL syntax to use?

I'm creating a form which has a description field in it. I created this form with many fields. However I then got an error and decided to limit the form to only 2 fields. These 2 fields (user and title) insert with no problem. However when I added the description field into the mix. I gat the same error I had previously gotten.

I am working on an image gallery using the tutorials.
I used the sql
SELECT *,
rand() as random_number
FROM image_img
ORDER BY random_number DESC LIMIT 1
on my default.php page but on preview i get the message
You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'LIMIT 0, 10' at line 1
I tried the solution above by removing the desc limit.
I got the same prob.
I will like to know how best to tackle this.
