  • Reg: RFC / IDOC required for doing CIDX Scenario

    Hi! Gurus,
This is Amar Srinivas Eli. I have task here to work and implement CIDX Scenario succesfully. There are some business cases as per the CIDX standards from that I was selected one Business case i,,e, FORECASTING.
But inorder to implement that scenario I need some RFC's or  IDOC lists from SAP side whether it may be a source or target side..what ever it may be...and other side will be CIDX format.
Here I need your help in the below mentioned tasks. Kindly help me out in a detailed step by step guide and do the needful to me.
    1. How to get RFC / IDOC name from R3 System and I know that I can get RFC from SE37 and IDOCs
from WE05 but I need whether all the required fileds are statisfying in the RFC's or not.
    2. My first preference is only for STANDARD SAP RFCs or IDOCs.
    3. Please let me know how to see the inner fields present in those RFC's
    4. ALso please provide any configuration guide which contains screen shots if you already worked
earlier on CIDX Scenario I mean step by step and also for testing
5... tell me if there is any other tool other than STK kit for testing CIDX messages.
    6.  Is there any Freeware STK tool kit is there or not...
Also share your experience and errors that you have faces while doing this CIDX Scenario.
    Regards:
    Amar Srinivas Eli

    Hi! All,
    Thanks for your fast response..
    Hi! Raja,
I gone through your points. Here I have few doubts on those please clarify that.
    1. Coming to testing i didt used any testing tool , but you can comre your output using XML Spy or Stylus studio.*
*CIDx Documents, you wil find in SDN please search in SDN.
Means Without using STK Tool or else some other tool How can I get the CIDX response for my request in the Testing environment. See I am not doing this in  real time I am trying to findout the solution for Business cases so I need one testing environment tool right ? Is that ALTOVA XML spy will give no right ?
Note: You told that you have done that business case IDOC--CIDX Order change / req Will you please share the information documentation I mean step  by step procedure for end to end doc...based on your scenario ?
    2. I know those R3 and PI settings I mean configurations means ports and RFC destinations and all those..but only thing I dono is "How you got that IDOC I mean on what basis and how did u search the IDOC?"
    3.  See Here I am working on topic FORECASTING it includes so many sub tasks like Deman PLan req and response, supply plan req and response and replenishment order and etc....so based on that how can I get those related RFC's or IDOC's in order to communicate from R3 Side
If Suppose I have seen one RFC/IDOC and for example out of 10 fields few are there in one IDOC and another few are there in another IDOC then in that case I need to go for Multimapping IDOCs I mean 2 Senders to one Receiver if yes Is it possible?
My first requirement is based on the above mentioned business cases how can I get the corresponding RFC's or IDOCs ?

  • Reg : Pricing Schemas and Scenario

    Dear Gurus,
    Our Scenario is as
Ours is Subcontracting Firm of books.
We send raw materials to Subcontract vendor and recieve the goods at Warehouse plants.
At this Warehouse a Budget alloacation is done for Sales of Finished goods(say for example 10 lakhs).
Then after warehouse guy has to claim Sold goods Revenue(Money) from Head office.
Question 1 : what process shall be guided for him to claim Money from Head Office.(one thing i got in mind is raise PR,PO then follow the process) Apart from it any other work around.
Question 2 : During this process there might be lot of scenarios like books got damaged etc etc.
But no return of goods only Money should be paid by head office to Warehouse guy.
In this case Pricing schemas should also be written.my quesiton is  whether pricing schema is related to SD or MM.

    Hi Friends,
1 ) I want to know the meaning of the fields that we have to enter when we use CIDX adaptor.
That is , values under tab  , Process specification , Source , Advance, for sender and

  • Questions in XI

    please answer me
1.How to Use Third Party Adapters in u r project.?
    2.How to Use External Objects?

    HI,
When do I need to develop an SAP XI adapter and not just use an existing one for my SAP XI content?
These are some questions you should consider before deciding on such a course:
Have I looked at the list of available XI adapters to see if they are a possible solution?
Do I have a custom proprietary application or system that needs a customized extractor or adapter which is not available on the current list?
Am I in the business of reselling adapters to SAP’s partners?
Am I a System Integrator (SI)?
Do I have a complex schema which is proprietary?
Do I have a proprietary database which I need to make available for accessing via an adapter on SAP XI?
Do I have the capacity to build the adapter and support it throughout its lifecycle?
the question might still come up, “For what type of scenario do I need to develop a customized adapter and for what scenario can I simply provide SAP XI content and use a provided adapter?” Consider the following two scenarios ...
    Scenario A:
In this first scenario, you simply need to provide SAP XI content which makes use of standard SAP XI adapters. The SAP XI content consists of design objects (e.g. integration scenarios, integration processes, message interfaces, messages, data types, interface and message mappings) imported into the Integration Repository under your own namespace. It enables your external system to make a BAPI call into an SAP system using both the SOAP and RFC adapters.
Since this scenario made use of standard SAP adapters, no customized adapter was necessary.
Scenario B: SAP CIDX Business Package
The second scenario involves providing both a specialized adapter and business content. This scenario is represented by the SAP CIDX Business Package (Chemical Industry Data Exchange).
As background, CIDX is an organization that focuses on developing eBusiness standards, called “Chem eStandards”, for the chemical industry. These standards have become the de facto standards for transacting business electronically in the chemical industry.
This SAP CIDX business package provides the necessary components that enable an SAP application to transact with a business partner using CIDX defined standards.
The CIDX business package includes the following items:
    CIDX Adapter:
    RNIF 1.1 Adapter for CIDX
    Business Content:
    Business Scenarios
Mappings between SAP Solutions and Chem eStandards Messages
    Message Interfaces
    Chem eStandards Message Definitions
    Chem eStandards Version 3.0
    Future Chem eStandards Version 4.0+
The adapter itself provides the following functionalities:
Implements Chem eStandards envelope and security requirements (based on the RNIF 1.1 protocol)
Packs and unpacks Chem eStandards v3.0 messages
Verifies the structural integrity of message headers
    Handles message security
Manages Chem eStandards message exchanges using Collaboration Partner Agreements
    Monitors and audits messages
Choreographs action and signals between messages
In this context, the adapter enables functionality at a lower message and session level (e.g. processing communication protocols, security, interface semantics, etc). If needed, it could also provide further security handling and logging functions.
Higher level functionality is enabled by the business content part of the package. This includes message definitions, mappings, and business scenarios as mentioned in Scenario A. The content is imported directly into the Integration Repository.
To enable CIDX scenario, you need both adapter and business content. From this example, you can see that if your application implements an industry standard or a unique messaging protocol, you may need to provide a specialized adapter. If low level functionality can be handled by existing adapters, you may just need to provide the business content to map messages or enable a business scenario.

2 For External Objects, please check out tbit 42 or 40. you will see how soap adapter use it. For info, you can import your WSDL structure using IR and then go to External object -> new -> and import. after that you can see all the objects in coressponding tabs.

    Hi,
CIDX Adapter is Chemical Industry standard for data exchange in B2B scenarios. It uses XML formatted in different manner specific to Chemical industry.
In order to use this, you need to purchase the license.
There are xml schemas provided by CIDX for each transaction like Order Create, Order change, shipping instruction etc..
You need to download the once which are required in your scenario and use the same.

  • How to suppress the Acknowledgement  Error in IDOC to File scenario?

    Hi -
I got the status in SXMB_MONI as 'Processed Successfully' for the IDOC to File scenario but the Acknoledgement status throws an error saying 'Acknowledgement not possible'.
I read one of the documents in the forums on how to suppress the acknowledgement using a table on R/3 side using IDXNOALE,
i tried that option but i still get the 'Acknowledgement not possible' error.
Is there any other way to suppress this error?
    Thanks,
    Tirumal

    Hi Tirumal,
Receiver adapters that run on the Adapter Engine support system acknowledgments if they are requested by the sender. Acknowledgements are triggered when a message is successfully processed by the adapter or if an error occurs while it is being processed. Receiver adapters do not support application acknowledgments. The RNIF and CIDX adapters are exceptions to this rule, since they also support scenario-dependent application acknowledgments. Sender adapters of the Adapter Engine do not request any acknowledgments.
This means, JDBC adapter does only send system acks, however IDoc adapter is requesting application acks. Therefore as mentioned by the previous poster, you have to disable acks for this scenario using report IDX_NOALE.

  • Response message from CIDX Adapter to IDOC Adapter

    Hi Experts,
I have created scenario for "SAP IDOC - PI - CIDX" (OrderCreate_Request)
and also need to create respose message for "CIDX - PI - SAP IDOC(OrderCreate_Response)
               Integration Repoistery
"SAP IDOC - PI - CIDX"
1,Imported idoc metadata from sender sap r3 .
2,Created External Definition and imported OrderCreateV202.xsd from receiver party.
                       3, Done message mapping
                       4, Done Interface Mapping
               Integration Directory
                          Under PO_Create(Scenario Name)
1,Assigned Business System for Sender SAP R3
2, Configured Party For receiver Sytem (CIDX)
3, No need Communication Channel for Sender IDOC
4, Configured Communication Channel for receiver(CIDX Adapter)
5, No need ender Aggrement for Sender
                     6, Configured Receiver Determination
                     7, Configured Interface Determination
                     8, Configured Receiver Aggrement.
                My Questions are
1,do i need to create new namespace for response msg
                     2,This scenario,sender is 3rd part(cidx) and receiver is sap r3
3,Do i need to create again all steps in Integration Repoiestry.
4,Can you send me Wat are all the steps involved in integration directory.
(ex.ineed to config comm. channel for both)
         Can anybody help me out?
    Thanks

    Sender QoS is BE,
File adapter does not support sync communication. Therefore the scenario won't work as it is.
What are you planning to do with the response? If you want to process is further, then:
    1. One way without BPM would be use of adapter module.
File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.
    2. Or you may use BPM with Async Sync bridge

    Thanks & Regards
    Muralidhar.

    Hi,
XI connects a sender system with a receiver system.
For connecting a system a adapter is used.
Here is an overview of all existing adapters:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Almost any adapter for a sender can get combined with any adapter for the receiver system for a valid scenario.

  • BPM patterns for using CIDX adapter

    Hi,
I am trying to implement the below requirement and am having problems doing that. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
    Requirement:
We need to send an order create message from file system A to
Elemica(using CIDX adapter) asynchronously and capture the RA back and
convert it into a message and send it to a file system B.
I tried the below scenarios already and could not maker it work:
<b>Scenario 1</b>: I tried creating a scenario using Sync- Async bridge, but
it did not work as I need to send some response back to the File system
    A. In this case I do not have any response to send.
I created an external definition for RA and used it for mapping to the
    File system B interface.
CIDX adapter is not accepting any messages if we try to send
    synchronously.
<b>Scenario 2</b>: I could not make my scenario work if I am trying to create
in my SWCV. So, I created all my abstract
interfaces for my business process in the CIDX SWCV. Now I created
Async – Sync scenario by sending a synchronous order create request to
Elemica. It did not work as CIDX adapter does not support any
    synchronous messages( guessing).
Apart from the above questions, I have few additional questions:
    1. Can we send synchronous messages to Elemica through CIDX
adapter? If so, how do we configure our communication channel as
    only “Asynchronous” option is available.
    2. If we have File-Elemica-File scenario, how do we configure the
    scenario?
    3. Are there any blogs having scenarios with BPM involving CIDX
adapter? If so, pls send a link.
    Thanks in Advance,
    GP
