CIF Delta transfer - PIR

Hi
I have included the fields LIFAB and LIFBI ( available from and available to dates of a Purchase info record) of EINA table in BD52 for delta transfer.
When i update the Purchase info record with the available from and available to dates and do a CFM3, the corresponding T-Lane in APO is not getting updated.
We want this transfer to take place thru delta transfer and not thru a intial transfer which is scheduled on a longer periodic gap.
Any thoughts on this pls..

From what I understood , he is asking about execution of the results or in other words, the corection methods which the system proposes.. The answer is NO...
If he had asked -" Is there a way to execute the CCR in background". The answer would have been YES.
If you read carefully the HELP CONTENT in your post, it says only the execution or iteration or the results of the comparison which all the mean the same--the results when you run the COMAPARE AND RECONCILE REPORT using /sapapo/ccr
The Correction part, is manual.
I run this report everyday in the morning along with OM17 and we could not figure a way of correcting the results of the comparision in the background because SAP hasnt provided one.
Let me give you 2 examples and I will let you decide whether this is really possible
Say after running the CCR, we have the following 2 inconsistencies
(1) Missing in APO-- and the correction which the system has suggested is " SEND to APO"
(2) Missing in R3--and the correction which the system suggested is " DELETE in APO"
There can be many different error codes and correction methods suggested by the system in a single run*
Now tell me if there was a way for background, how will the system know which correction method to select..
This is the reason SAP has not given any background corerction for CCR as well as OM17...
Kindly run the report and see for yourself and let me know If you have any questions.

Init Delta Transfer

Hello Experts
I am facing a small issue. I have a landing ODS (ZVAITM).
From which my data is going to Domestic cube(ZCDOM). Now i got a requirement to load the data from the landing ods (ZVAITM) to other cube export (ZCEXP). Now my problem is if i use the same infopackage, which is "init Delta transfer" which i used to load the first cube (ZCDOM), its not allowing me to do tat "2 inits not possible". how can i get the data to new cube using the same info package...is that the right way or we need to create seperate info package?i am confused...any kind of help is really appreciated..thanks

Hi,
If u havnt loaded any data after the init to the first data terget then delete that Init first.
for this goto the info pack, from the menu Scheduler-> init for the source system. from here u can delete the INIT.
Then create an update rule based on the same data source to the 2nd data target. and then take Init with delta. Now it will work..

How do I transfer PIR to end month instead of 1st day of the month?

1. There will be multiple ways of achieving this the below is one among them
2. is your lot size monthly lot size if so then the below solution is highly recommended. Ie) by creating a new lot size like mb
3.go tot he transaction code OMI4
4. Here youcan see the configuration for the lotsize.
5. copy the standard lot size MB as ZB and then in the ZB against the scheduling
select 2 which is Period End = Delivery date
6.Now when you create the demand with this lotsize in material master ,
the demand will be placed in the end of the month.
Try this and let me know if it works..

CIF: Vendor transfer

Hi All:
I have been trying to send Vendors over to APO thru CIF, I could see a bunch but couple of them just dont get across. I tried sending them alone in a seperate Integration model I get the same message that (vendor) location does not exist.
The next time I tried sending the vendors with SA's, Inforecords and contracts I get the same message. On SMQ2 in APO I get Function: /SAPAPO/CIF_TPSRC_INBOUND
Which I tried to execute just to get a message Function module does not exist or EXCEPTION raised.
Please help, have a good week ahead.

Using transaction se38, enter RIMODINI as the program name and execute.
You should have a selection screen for your integration models. Enter the integration model you want and execute. You should now have a list containing the models you want to re-initialise. On execution now, the full model information will be resent (rather than the delta logic).
Hopefully your missing vendors will now come across.

CIF Plant transfer

We have been running APO with CIF transfers of plants when new plants are created and materials daily.
We have set-up a new plant with complete and correct address, time zone, regions etc.
There is only one active integration model at a time, verified. Upon new creation, no errors and no error in activation. But this new plant will not transfer, no error logs, no queues no sign there is any error, but no location is created.
I have followed the trouble shooting, error checks in the CIF Trouble shooting. At this point it says to create an OSS.
Anybody have tips, suggestions?

Ask yourself the following ...
- Are you able to Transfer ANY Location /Plant at all to APO or is it just a few ? My guess (not sure) is you are doing Integration Models activation first time, since you are doing the location which is the first thing.
- I am assuming you have done all the Configuration necessary (BSG, User Settings, CFC9 ... etc) for Integration Models to be Activated.
- Check in ECC in BF11 if the ND-APO Flag is Set to Transfer BTEs (Business Transaction Events) to APO.
- For Plants I am assuming you done all the Setup in ECC to define them as a Manufacturing Plant or DC or
- All Locations need a POSTAL Code / ZIP Code to be Entered in the Address. This is absolutely a Must for Plants to come over to APO as Locations.
- Also on TIMEZONE .... I have learnt that it is Better to define all the Plants in the Same TimeZone and they belong to Multiple Countries then use the UTC TimeZone (you can use UTC for GMT, UTC530 for IST, UTC-5 instead of EST, UTC-8 instead of PST, UTC8 for Singapore ... etc.)
- If all is OK ... try Deactivating via CFM2 & then Deleting the Locations Integration Model Completely via CFM7. Then Generate a Fresh one (Initial Load) for just that 1 Location and Activate it. This should get the Location across to APO if all the Pre-requisites above are fulfilled.
- If it still does not ... my guess is that your PI Version, LiveCache Build version are incompatible & you will get the right answer on OSS itself.

CIFS to transfer files between NW 6.0 SP5 and Windows 2008

I have an old server that is moving to Windows SBS 2008. I was trying to use CIFS to get the files over. I am not having much luck. I am able to get CIFS to work from a XP PC by going to the shared name and opening the directories.
I have tried to reset the NTLM security but it is grayed out. I am a Domain admin. I should be able to edit these policies.
I get a prompt to login but the login is the same as the login for the Windows 2008 server. I thought it would just open. They are on the same workgroup /domain. I tried it a couple times and it couldn't log me in.
My iManager is not working at the moment. I forgot how to get it started. I configured everything through ConsoleOne.
Or do you have any other ideas on how to transfer the data quickly?

Slow Desktop When Doing a CIFS File Transfer

This has only just started recently but when I copy a file across my wireless network using CIFS or SMB to a share on my Vista media centre my Mac desktop becomes very slow and juttery, the mouse especially just jitters around the screen and makes it impossible to use.
I've checked my CPU and RAM and they appear fine, not sure how else to troubleshoot this. I've installed Dave from Thursby software to try that but it didn't solve the problem.
Anyone any ideas?

CIF Data Transfer

Hi,
I am working on the EWM scenario and have come across an error "Form of address 0003 not designated for persons"/ "Form of address 0002 not designated for organization" when I try to use transaction CFM3 to activate an Integration Model in the Retail system. In this IM I am sending Article, Site, Vendor & Customer.
I understand that the issue is related to the Vendor and Customer, address, for which I am trying to create a Business Partner and Location in the EWM system.
I have tried changing the Title to Company and Mr./Ms. But the error still persists.
Could anyone please advice?

PDS: field to identify last change in ERP

Dear all,
is there a way to see in the PDS master data fields in APO (we are on SCM 5.0), if the corresponding BOM in ERP has changed?
We are using CIF delta transfer for BOMs, however it seems that the "last change" date of the PDS in APO is always updated, even if no change happened.
Once a week we are doing a initial transfer of the BOMs, so afterwards anyway the last change date in APO is always updated with the date of the initial transfer, even if the BOM has not changed.
Basically what I am asking for is a field in the PDS which indicates the last change date of a BOM in ERP, and not the last CIF (delta) date.

Thanks for the reply.
Currently the issue there is no change in any of the fields. I think thsi is the reason why the PAI is not called. Only in the PAI we have set screen to 0 and leave.
Without any change in the screen elements how do i force it to enter the PAI
or
when i call a screen statement as Call 102, how do i ensure that it returns to the call routine back irrespective of the PAI being executed.

Delta CIF of Material Master

Hi Experts,
We done some enhancment to have the material division to be CIF to APO through extra tab. The enhancment is added in CIFMAT001 user exit. We dont have issue during initial CIF of material master but during delta CIF the changes is not reflect or carried out to APO. It seems that the user-exit is not called during delta transfer. Is there anyway to have the changes move to APO with delta transfer for material amster?

Hi Lhon,
Usage of the exit is a little bit different in initial and delta transfer, I also faced some issue once.
But the changes needed in the code are quite technical, I am not sure what the ABAP person did in our case so that the enhancement became active for both the scenario of Initial transfer and delta change.
If you talk with some good ABAPer who has worked on APO related enhancements, he should be able to help.

Stock transfer PRs are not getting created in APO

Hi,
I have a plant-to-plant transfer is configured using special procurement type. When APO creates stock.PRs , it does not provide any numbers to PRs and they are not getting trasnfered to R3. CIF model for PIR & POs are running good.
In CIF post processing these PRs as stuck and I see " Vendor master data does not exist for plant A" . There is vendor master data created for plant A in R3 and material info record also exists.
How to de-bug this post processing queue to see what is missing in vendor master data?

Can you explain in detail your scenario..you say plant A so I suppose there is plant named B in your scenario. which one is the source location and which one destination location?
In Stock transfer from plant to plant scenario, key is to have correct settings for the system to do source determination.
Assuming plant A as destination and plant B as source. First, The material should be maintained at both the plants.
You need to have a purchasing info record(ME11) linking your material and the source plant B.
I assume you are using external procurement type in your material master. Special procurement type 40 (stock transfer)should be maintained in material master.
Then the system creates a STReq and PurReq using the source plant B. For the system to do this source determination should happen. To verify that..you can check the following...
When you transfer the purchasing info record, system automatically generates the external procurement relationships with source location as plant B, destination location as plant A and info record reference.
When you transfer material master data, the system auto'lly generates transportation lanes between plant A and plant B. (keep in mind transportation lanes should be manually created here)
So in essence you have to check if all the above things are done by the system.

Please clarify my CIF doubts.
1.What will be possible reason (Expect the volume of data) if the activation of integration models takes long run time and how can i trouble shoot it?
2.What will be the impact if I generate the same integration model twice? Will the same set of data transferred once again?
3. In program RIMODAC2 if I choose the option 'Activate Newest Version' does it meana that I deactivated
the old version and creating a new one?

Possible reasons could be CIF Queue blocks because of master data inconsistenecies .Also if there are too many categories in one IM then also there can be some problem .I hope you are running the activation in background CFM3 transaction. Also please make you are doing delta transfer only not the inital transfer .Inital transfer takes lot of time and its not required daily
Unless the newly added location-products are high in number the activation of the new Integration Model should be quick.For performance reasons it is recommended to have only a small number
(less than 10) of different integration models per object type
By generating the integration model the objects matching the selection criteria are read and assigned to the model.Data is sent whn you activate the model .So genrating twice would create two version of data which would be available for activation
it is possible to genrate Integratiom model sevral time , content of which can be different . So each genratetion creates a different version . If you select the option "newest version" , it will selct the version which was generated latest

0HR_PT_1 Datasource doesnot extract New employees in Delta Load

I did an initialization of delta based on Company code selection and calendar month range (01.2008 to 12.2009) in the month of Aug-09 around 60million records came into BI.The dataload was successfull (Info yellow but made into green). After that when the new employees created in ECC for these emplyoees there is no data being extracted through 0HR_PT_1 datasource.
Gone through the following notes
Note 670751 - Time management extractors and new employees
This talks ablut selection range for Personnel Number which i have not given at the time of init. But now already data is there in BI and it will take hell out of time. Its not sure even though we did init selection with peronal Number ranges 10 years data is coming into BI.
Note 353177 - Long-run. progr. at time data extrct. in delta mode
This note talks about time frame which itself is a confict with the infotype 0439.
Please suggest how to minimize the successfull initialization of delta with out missing the new employees workschedule data.

The time frame you specify is activated when you
Request data for initializing the delta transfer
Request the delta since the last request or repeat the delta request
Transfer all requested data and do not restrict the required period in BW.
Example
1. You regularly use BW to gain an overview of the current calendar year.
You enter January 1, 2001 as the earliest transfer date and December 31, 2001 as the latest transfer date. At the start of the next year, you set the dates forward one year.
2. You want to have regular access to the current data. You also want to take account of time data that has changed in the last six months. You are also interested in absences that have been recorded for future periods.
You therefore set the earliest transfer data to six months ago and the latest transfer date to six months in the future. Each month, you set the dates forward one month.
Recommendation
Make the time frame as small as possible to avoid unnecessarily long runtimes, and as large as necessary to transfer all relevant data.
Activities
1. Choose the Check Feature TIMMO activity.
2. Check the modifiers specified. If you want to use special modifiers for BW, adjust the feature accordingly.
3. Choose the Earliest Transfer Date activity and enter the date up to which
a) Data is to be selected (when you request all data)

Delta in DTP(BI 7.0)

Hi, all,
I have an ODS ZODS01 which data have been loading into it for more than one year, now I need a new ODS ZODS02 to load data from ZODS01, but I don't need the historical data from ZODS01, only need new daily data when this ODS put in production. In BI 7.0 DTP, there is no option to do initialize without data transfer as in 3.x infopackage. So how can I acheive this?

Like delta transfer using an InfoPackage, an explicit initialization of the delta process is not necessary for delta transfer with a DTP. When the data transfer process is executed in delta mode for the first time, all existing requests are retrieved from the source, and the delta status is initialized.And then DTp will pick deltas only ..
