CIF new materials to APO

Hi Guys
Need your help in the following:
I am CIFing new materials to APO and in General Selection options for Material, I wish to do a multiple selection based on a class. I works fine manually however I wish to save the classification value in the variant for background job.
Can you please suggest how to save the variant for Integration Model with Classification for Material

Hi Rahul,
The existing filter criteria for materials, in CFM1 transaction may not serve your purpose.
When generating an integration model the system determines whether entries exist in the MARC table
(plant data for the material). I do not think the class/characteristics data will be available in MARC table.
OSS note 369541 suggests modication to be able to transferring segments of the MARA table (general material data). However, I note your point that, you want only additional filter criteria and do not want to transfer any additional fields to APO.
Please check the function module u201CCIF_MATERIAL_PRODUCT_MAPu201D if this can be useful for you.
There is also a customer exit SAP R/3 customer exit: EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 and you may please check this.

Integration of Materials with APO (RIMODGEN)

Hi Friends,
Thanks in advance for all the great replies that you have been giving me. I have a question on Integrating materials with APO.
We are using the report RIMODGEN and RIMODAC2 to create and activate integration models.
The issue is when you need to include materials using criteria other than that given in CFM1 .
The filtering criteria for materials at present is
Material
Plnt
Matl Type
PlantSpec. Mtl Stat
MRP Ctrlr
MRP Type
ABC Indicator.
We need to set the filter criteria to include
Item category group
and
MRP group.
The options that I have come up with is to create a text file which will have all the materials that need to be included in the integration model. The problem here is can I make reading of this file an automated process which can be used as part of the program RIMODGEN. Otherwise , I cannot use RIMODGEN as a background process.
Is there any other way to include the materials that I will need other than to write a custom code for that ?

I am having a similar requirement where I want to exclude materials from the integration model for which the deletion flag is set in R/3.
I was thinking if I could extend the selection fields to add additional filter of 'LVORM' , I can achieve this.
Can you please share with me how you achieved the same for your requirement.

BX initialization for new materials

Hi,
I have a question on 0ic_c03 cube.
According to the doc 'How to Handle Inventory managemnet Scenarios in BW', we have done all the procedures for Bx initialization, BF/UM history data load, and BF/UM delta load every day. so now the question is: for the new materials which are come in later than the date of the BX initialization, do we still need to do the BX init for them, and yes - then how can we do it; if no - why?

The init bx and BF/UM history data loading for our BWP(BW production system) was done in 2004 by my ex-colleague who already left our company; so I am not very sure exactly whether he followed the procedure in How to handle Inventory management PDF...
But we have refreshed the DEV(R/3 development system) with a copy of PRD(R/3 production system) in Feb, and I have deleted all the data in BWD, and loaded the copy of PRD data to BWD system in mid of Feb, followed the procedures in PDF. and this morning I have checked the materials in BWD system, the KFs are all matched to DEV(R/3).
While in the meantime, in BWP system the '0totalstck' and '0valstckval' for the same Matrials not matched in PRD system(r/3); but '0isstotstck' and '0rectotstck' are matched.
according to your advice, this problem in BWP system caused by th compression of BX, BF and UM init and history data laoding. But my question is:
1, now, Is there a way for me to track back what kind of compression optionin tab Collapse(with mark Update or without Marker update) he used when he did the BX/BF/UM init loading in 2004?
2, Now there are lots of production delta loading in BWP system since 2004, and if I want to correct the compression issue, is it ok for me to just follow your steps in your previous mail, and <b>redo</b> the compress for BX/BF/UM with the correct compression option. will it affect our exiting production data?
3, what else could be teh reason caused this problem in BWP system, and what is teh best way for me to resolve it.

New materials are installed for ps but 3D materials are not showing up??

I installed and downloaded new materials for the 3D part in photoshop cs5 but the materials do not show up when I edit the 3d object. anyone know or encountered this problem before?

Hi,
So you downloaded the Materials.zxp and used Extension Manager to install?
Do you have any of the .p3m files here:
Users/user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Materials
or /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets/Materials
If not, that's where they should be. We've seen the Extension Manager installation have various problems including silent failures. You can change the Materials.zxp extesion to .zip and then unzip to find the individual material files. Copy them manually over to the user directory.
Now launch Ps and with a 3D layer selected and an existing material targeted, click the material picker icon and then go to the upper right flyout. From this menu you should be able to replace/append the previewed material samples. Hopefully this screen shot illustrates this OK.

New materials in 3D Toolkit?

Hi,
Anyone know where to find new materials for the 3D toolkit? How does one create a new material? I need a realistic looking stainless steel and something that looks like nickel plated metal. Some good brass would be nice, too. None of these are included in the materials (.rhm files) that ship with AC3D.

The materials listed in the tab in 3D toolkit are in a folder under the location where you installed Acrobat 3D.
By default the path is:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat\3D Toolkit\Materials\
To create a new preset material I usually just copy and paste an existing one and then rename it to what I want it to be.
Then when you select it, the main screen will display a sphere textured with that material. In the "Scene Tree" panel expand the Materials folder. This will list the internal materials to the .rhm file. Rename the material listed there to what you want and then double click on it. That will open the material properties dialog which allows you to change all of its properties.

Could you please explain the process how we process the purchase order with a material and recieve other two materials which is processed by the vendor.
My scenario is like this
I have created a material and sent to the vendor where he will process the material and send me the two new materials and the weight should be equal in the both directions.

this is purely subcontracting process
Subcontracting process --> Converting part X to Y :
(Note: X is components (one or more than one material like raw materials, etc except finished product) & Because Y is finished product (which is produced by external vendor or sub contracting vendor)
Follow the steps: for SC process
-> We have to provide at least one component to the vendor.
->Components (X) given to vendor are listed in PO
-> Components are determined via BOM (for creating BOM: t.code: CS01) or manually (directly you can maintain /explode the components) entered in PO
-> Can be requested through PR & can be converted in PO / Scheduling agreement under Item Category" L "
-> PO (t.code: ME21N) is placed on finished material (Y). Price is maintained in the Subcontracting Info record. (t.code: ME11)
-> We issue goods to vendor to provide components to vendor (special stocks O) : t.code: ME2O (here u can use mov type 541 also)
-> GR is done for the finished good (Y). At the same time consumption of the component (X) is posted.
-> And you can also trigger requirement through MRP
Movement types used for the subcontracting process :
-> Transfer posting from unrestricted use stock to the stock of material provided to vendor : 541+ O
->GR of finished product wrt Subcontract PO : 101 + O
-> GI of the components consumed - 543 + O
-> Byproduct posting : 544
-> Transfer posting : plant to plant -one step: 301 + O
Quality to unrestricted : 321 + O

Regarding Integration Model to CIF from ECC to APO

Hi ,
Please assist me in the following issues:
What will the impact if any material is ciffed twice or multiple times from ECC to APO through IM ...will it generate inconsistency ? if so, how we can avoid this ?
While I'm ciffing the material from ECC to APO through IM, the ' Find Master Data Object ' is showing certain number say 'X' but when I'm running CTM for it the explosion of BOM of Master Data is showing less number of material than 'X'...in that case what might be the possible issue ?
While generating IM , can I club Sale Order, Sale Order Stock, Planned Order, Prodn order under same variant ? or ill it generate inconsistency ?

Hi Michael,
1. It is not a problem. Is is quite common to CIF materials twice a days or even more. It shoul not generate inconsistencies.
2. You could have more materials than materials bith BOM. In other words, maybe not all your materials have a BOM.
3. Its recommended to have a separate integration model for your object.

Quota between inhouse Manufactured & external procured materials in APO

Hello All,
Scenario is like this:
I have semi-finished material. Suppose it is 'AX'. Now this 'AX' material I am manufacturing & procuring from external sources also. Material 'X' is APO material(MRP Type='X0'). Now I transferred MM scheduling agreement of same part in APO also through Integration Model, to get schedule lines as well as manufacturing orders after Heuristic run. When I checked in APO, MM scheduling agreement was transferred to APO but the Quota which I maintained in R/3 in MEQ1(% between in-house production & external procurement) was not in APO. Now in this case if I do the Heuristic run I got only Planned Orders(manufacturing orders), not any schedule lines against the MM Sch. Agreement. Now at this moment I was able to convert any planned order into MM Schedule line.
After this I created the quota in APO itself. After creating the quota I was able to get the planned orders as well as MM schedule lines based on maintained quota.
Regarding the above scenario I have some doubts. Please answer:
1. Is it a correct practice, what i did ?
2. I was very confused that when we maintains each Master Data of APO materials in R/3 why we need to create the same quota in APO also.
3. Is there any way to transfer this quota from R/3 to APO ? If yes please tell me the steps. This will save a lot of my stuff.

1. Yes, as per the scenario mentioned and since the planning is taking place in APO, quota is needed to be maintained in APO itself.
2. This is because planning needs to input like proporational planning to to find out the right sources using quota and transportation lanes. But its master data intensive.
3. In other way, I would see no need of maintaining the quota in R3, instead you maintain the quota only on APO. (if I understand requirement correctly).
there is one way, you can avoid quota maintenance in APO. Here you need to use CIF user exit (APO outbound, C5) to modify the the procurement proposals of APO while getting transferred frm APO to R3 based on the quota maintained in the R3 side. This seems to be bit complex.

Can you please help me with this issue. I want to know about any report or transaction which can give me the list of the materials which are assigned to a particular plant for a given period of time. i.e. I like to know whenever any new material is assigned to our plant.

However,
If you are using storage location you can use the table MARD "Tcode SE16"
In this table you find the columns Material/Plant/Storage location/curent periode/ created on
But you have to verify that all article are created at the storage location level

CIF Inbound error in APO

Hello Guru,
May am trying to CIF and activate a plant from R/3 to APO via, doing in R/3 rimodgen and rimodac the result in APO is error in SMQ2 (Inbound queue) saying ::023 XXXX Production Plant, or message no. Message no. SR053

Pretty self explanatory. The address that is moved over with the plant contains basic configuration data that does not exist in your SCM system.
Configuration of Regions in SCM are found at OVK2. Configuration for Regions in ERP are found in the same transaction. Ideally, you would like these two to be identical for both systems. At a bare minimum, though, the regions that are contained in every address transferred across to SCM must exist in the SCM configuration. Add the regions to SCM that the error messages tell you are undefined.

Transaction CFC9 in ECC - regarding CIF change transfers to APO

I am using APO 5.1 connected to an ECC 5 system.
I am using ECC transaction CFC9 for CIF settings.
How do the 'change transfer' settings (online/periodic) in transaction CFC9 actually relate to the use of the online change transfer via CFC5 and the use of the periodic change transfer via CFP1. Is there a dependency here?

Hi,
CFC9 is where you specify what way you want to have the data transfer for master data from R/3 to APO - online, periodic or no transfer.
Based on what you maintained in CFC9, you need to either maintain configuration relevant for ALE (periodic transfer) or BTE (online transfer).
So, if you selected periodic transfer, you should use periodic change transfer using CFP1. Alternatively, you could schedule a periodic job corresponding to CFP1 to send change pointers from R/3 to APO. You should also select "acticvate ALE change pointer generally".
Not sure what you meant by CFC5. If you want to send master data changes online (using BTE), you should have activated "online transfer using BTE".

Not able to cif transiton data from APO to R/3 and from R/3 to APO

Hi:
I have made all relevant setting as per required for configuration of cif architecture in R/3 and in APO.I am able to cif master data from R/3 to APO but when I am transferring Planned Order from APO to R/3 or Sales Order from R/3 to APO I am not able to tranfer it .Even I am not getting any blocked q.
Even I am able to access remote login to both system by RFC Connection.
Please let me know how to debug it and solve it.

Hi Ashish,
Please try ciffing only one transactional data and then check on the application logs using t-code CFM1 or SLG1 in R/3 and /n/sapapo/c3 & slg1 in APO. This will give you idea where is going on wrong.

I was trying to configure CIF Application log from an APO perspective by specifying a function module and the different table fields.
I configured the same in R3 side using CFC6 but am having trouble finding it in APO

I tried /SAPAPO/C41 with detailed option but failed to see the detailed log which I had enabled in R3 through CFC6.
In R3, I enabled field logging for function module CIF_PRODUCT_SEND. In R3 log, I am able to see the relevant fields form this function module that are being sent to APO.
However, I also want to see the log from APO, for the same fields, if they were recieved without any errors or sent to postprocessing.
There is a function module /SAPAPO/CIF_PROD and I need to use the fields of the modules in the APO side CIF logging.is this possible ?
Would appreciate if any one can share their thoughts on how this can be accomplished

CIF Exit for updating APO field SAFETY STOCK METHOD from R/3.

Hi All,
I have a requirement for updating filed "Safety stock Method " in APO from R/3.
We can do it through transactions CFM1 and then CFM2 in R/3.
This happens when we make changes in MM02 in R/3,
for fields,
In ECC, Goto MRP2 view in material master
Safety stock (EISBE)
Safety time/act cov. (SHZET)
STime period profile (SHPRO)
Currently, we are using a exit : Exit_saplcmat_001,
but it only gets triggered when we make changes in safety stock and safety time.
where as if we make changes only in STime period profile, and don't make any change in safety stock and safety time,
in this case the exit is not triggered.
Now, we are looking for an exit, which will get triggered even when there is no change in safety stock and safety time,
where as there is change in STime period profile.
Please suggest what can be used.

Using CSAI_BOM_MAINTAIN for adding new materials doesn't work

I'm trying to use CSAI_BOM_MAINTAIN to add / delete materials to an equipment parts list, but despite sy-subrc = 0 as result no materials are added to the list.
I don't really know which arguments have to be passed to this fm, are there any suggestions? I've tried to get results with

- werks
- stlal
- datuv
- idnrk
- matnr
- stlal
However, this still doesn't achieve what I want it to do...
CSAI_BOM_READ / CSAI_BOM_DELETE work fine, also does CSAI_BOM_MAINTAIN work to create an empty list.
