CIF R3 material as Resource into APO

Hi  Experts,
   We have a requirement to CIF R3 material (belonging to a specific material group) in our case its packing material group (Vessel) as a Transportation Resouce in APO.
We need these Products as a transportation resource in TP/VS.

    Jens,
    When I say 'planning system', I am not talking about predictabiity.  I am talking about the generic term concerning the management of supply and demand (which is mostly what APO does).
    In ECC, a packaging material is not normally treated as a resource.  It is a material.  It is unclear to me how you are using packaging materials to represent resources.
    A Product master can exist in APO without locations assigned.  Therefore, I suspect that using enhancements, it might be possible to CIF across only MARA data and not MARC data, but I have never tried it.   Perhaps one of the other Gurus can offer additional insights.

  • Delta CIF of Material Master

    Hi Experts,
    We done some enhancment to have the material division to be CIF to APO through extra tab. The enhancment is added in CIFMAT001 user exit. We dont have issue during initial CIF of material master but during delta CIF the changes is not reflect or carried out to APO. It seems that the user-exit is not called during delta transfer. Is there anyway to have the changes move to APO with delta transfer for material amster?

    Hi Lhon,
    Usage of the exit is a little bit different in initial and delta transfer, I also faced some issue once.
    But the changes needed in the code are quite technical, I am not sure what the ABAP person did in our case so that the enhancement became active for both the scenario of Initial transfer and delta change.
    If you talk with some good ABAPer who has worked on APO related enhancements, he should be able to help.

    We want to delete a resource from APO. Can some one throw light on this how to ahead with deletion. I would like to ask are there any prerequisites that are to be modified like deletion from PPM etc..

    if you go to transaction WUF and enter your resource name you can get the list of objects the resource is being linked to ....
    you might need to delete them (in the case of transaction data) or delink them (in the case of PDS you want to retain with an other resource for example)
    once you do this, you should be able to delete the resource from the transaction /SAPAPO/RES01
    if you have a R3 connection and its in a CIF model ensure that is deactivated so it does not appear again

  • Split Valuation Material Cost Estimate into COPA

    Hi all,
    Is there any way how we can transfer the split valuation material cost estimate into COPA?
    I checked the actual line items, there is no "valuation type / batch" characteristics there.
    Is this the main cause?

    Does this mean that, even though i manage to create the valuation type as characteristic in COPA, i won't be able to get 2 different cost estimate based on valuation type into COPA?
    Hm, then, are there any solutions which can be done to solve this issue?
    The client needs a COPA report which can show the breakdown of the sold materials cost estimates

    do your customizing in IMG > Logistics General > batch management > Specify Batch Level and Activate Status Management
    there is a button for initial status for new batch.
    make sure that there is no flag in the status column of the entries shown.

  • Mass Maintenance of Resource in APO

    Hi,
    I need to make changes in a number of resource in APO at a time. Do we have a mass maintenance process in APO to do that. I need to be able to chnge the Capacity Variants.
    Is there a way if i can put that in a batch job in the background.

  • Transfer of Material Class characteristics into Batch

    Hello,
    Is there a way to transfer the material specific class characteristics ( maintained in material class 001) into Batch, while creating a new batch?
    For e.g. for Material A, i have Material Class Characteristic = COLOR, with a value RED.
    So if i create a new Batch for Material A, the COLOR characteristic in Batch should get defaulted to RED, instead of manually entering.
    Pl let us know, if this is possible.

    You can use function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_014  SAP enhancement SAPLV1ZN when assigning characteristic values to batches with EXTENDED_CLASSIFYING parameter. You use this to classify user-defined characteristics in the background when creating a new batch using the central function module VB_CREATE_BATCH during activated batch classification.
    Refer IMG>Batch Mngmt>Characteristics Value Assignment>...using function module

  • Note 403102 - Offset takes non-working time of resource into account

    Hello Friends,
    I have implemented the OSS notes 403102 for considering the offset value without considerding the non working time of the resource in APO system.
    but as i have implemented the sample code given there(copy & Paste) the functionality seems to be not working.
    the productive hours maintained in the transaction /SAPAPO/RES01 is 8.5 hrs.
    previously the system was considering the productive hours as 24 and was calculating.
    after implementation of the notes if I specify a 4 days offset iam getting 3.5 days offset .  for 6 days its 5 days offset.
    does anyone faced this issue.

  • CIF replishment indicator for ECC to APO

    Hi, i want to CIF a value from ECC to APO which must sit in REPLINDI which is on the APO side, table   /SAPAPO/MATLSPP... I was not able to find this field on either sides... PLZ HELP...

    I can use the CIF for independent demands or PIR's from ECC to APO.  But the CIF functionality that sends independant requirements ignores MRP elements with type SB for dependant requirements you can not pick them up.  At least I have not found a method for the standard CIF to send MRP elements SB as of yet.

    Three categories exist under downtime tab in resources like planned downtime,resource inactive and pm order.Iwant to add one more category based on some other functionality.

        I dont think there is any setting in SPRO to add the custom type of downtime in resources.I checked the technical details of this field and found that these 3 types are defined in the Domain /SAPAPO/CRES_DOWNTIME_TYPE of Data Element /SAPAPO/CRES_DOWNTIME_TYPE So I think we can not add or change the types in it.

  • CIF ECC Shifts and Intervals to APO

    Hi All,
    I need to maintain shift and interval is ECC work center as a part of u201Cstandard available capacityu201D.
    These shifts and intervals are to be transferred to APO u2013 PPDS for planning. Though in CFC9 I have u201CUse Ext. Capacityu201D enabled, Shifts and Interval are not getting CIFed to APO.
    The only reason I can make is; shifts and intervals defined in ECC are not a part of standard available capacity. (In Interval and Shift Tab of capacity header definition, Stand Avail u2013 is Grey Field)

    What is parameter set in CFC9 for external capacity is it A or X.
    If it is A external capacity indicator will be checked in resource in APO and APO will use shifts from ECC for scheduling inspite of specification in workcenter.
    If it is X you need to check the checkbox external capacity for particular work center by clicking on APO resource button in workcenter.

  • Material conversion into APO Material?

    hi experts,
    the characteristic for material in the BW system (0MATERIAL) is 18 characters long, and in SCM (9AMATNR u2013 here ZAMATNR) it is 40 characters long.
    In order to compensate for this difference, you need in the transformation from BW to SCM, we can use the below standard conversion exits:
    CONVERSION_EXIT_PRODU_OUTPUT (to remove leading zeros from 0MATERIAL)
    CONVERSION_EXIT_PRODU_INPUT (to set leading zeros on ZAMATNR)
    How and where to write the code and includes those above function modules in order to achieve that?

    Absolutely, this is an acceptable way to manage lower level parts.
    If part of your 'feasible' production plan includes a product check of lower level parts, then yes, you need to send across all MRP relevant elements for the lower level materials.  All demand elements, and all supply elements, including stock,
    I caution you not to inadvertently plan any such materials in both systems.  R/3 will automatically pass dependent requirements from the X0 parts (which were generated in APO) down to the lower level parts, and it will assume that you plan them in R/3.  Ensure that your APO heuristics exclude these lower level parts in APO.

  • CIF of material classification data

    Dear Experts,
    Since a recent technical upgrade to our systems, I have seen a change in behavior of the integration of material classification data from ECC to SCM.  Before the upgrade, classification data transferred with the initial CIF of the material.   If material classification did not exist on the ECC material at the time the material was added to a new integration model and activated, we "missed the boat" so to speak.  Classification would not automatically transfer (CIF) to APO when if finally was loaded in ECC, even if the application area/integration models were correct.   As a work-around, we would be forced to generate and activate a material model that specifically excluded the material, then generate and activate another material integration model that included it again.  Then the classification would transfer.
    After the upgrade, the opposite condition is true, the "initial CIF" of the material will not transfer material classification data at all, it will only transfer if the classification data is added/changed after the material itself is transferred to APO.  As a work around for this, if the classification data is already (correctly) loaded in ECC at the time of the initial material CIF, we are changing the status of the material classification from 1 to 3 and back to 1, just to trigger a change, then the classification is transferred instantly to APO.
    Are there configuration settings that will allow material classification data to CIF in both cases: with the initial CIF of the material to SCM and also in the event of a change and/or addition of classification data in ECC?  Thanks for any advice you can provide.

    What you are looking for is achieved by downloading the customizing objects from R/3 to SRM.
    This is a must before you download materials/services from R/3 to SRM.
    Customizing objects are 4:
    DNL_CUST_BASIS3 - This takes care of Basis settings in SRM for downloading.
    DNL_CUST_PROD0 - This takes care of Material number conversions from R/3 to SRM.
    DNL_CUST_PROD1 - This CO actually brings matl groups from R/3 to SRM as product categories.
    The result you can see in trx COMM_HIERARCHY (not in COMMPR01 which is for materials/services.
    There in R3MATCLASS you can see replicated and locally crated prod categories
    and in R3PRODSTYPE you can see the material typs from R/3
    DNL_CUST_SRVMAS - This takes care of Customizing: Service Master
    The transaction for this is R3As in SRM
    and you can monitor the same through R3AM1.
    also you can check QRFC of R3 and SRM with SMQ1 and SMQ2.
    The next step after this is material/service downloading from R/3 which is done with the same trx R3AS but business objects
    Material and
    Service_master
    You can set fileter in trx R3AC1 for this.
