CIF Related

Hi All ,
Whenever I activate Planned Order conversion( in APO), the ENTRIES(CIF) get stuck in SMQ2(In ECC 6.0).
I have to activate those in SMQ2(ECC) manually ...which is a Problem.
Can anybody advise me, why this is happening?
BTEs are activated in CFC9, and still getting this error..
Thanks in advance for early reply..
Regards,
Nawal

Hi Nawal
You are looking at the schduler status in smqr - it can be inactive , not an issue. To register the queue you have to select (put at tick mark in the check box)  the CIF queue in smqr and click on button  registration and it will register the queue. You can also take help from basis to do the same.
One more thing you can check is whether you have specified the queue type in spro.
Thanks
Aparna

  • CIF variants exist in system for last 4 years - Any negative impact ??

    Hi Experts,
I observed that we have variants of CCR existing in the system for last 4 years!!! Will it make any negative impact on the system in terms of performance ?
If yes then do you suggest to delete unnecessary Logs?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Chandan

    Hi,
We have not observred measurement of  performance deterioration due to number of variants over a period.
Variants are stored in VARID database table.
Please check how many entries are there in this table for the CIF related programs.
You may check with Basis team , if the table size is okay and also find out the rate of increase.
This can be a good housekeeping activtiy to delete obsolete variants older than say a few years.

  • How to change MOT programaticaly in existing Purchase Order

    Hello Experts,
Will appreciate your quick reply on the  query as given below.
Is MOT ( means of transport) assigned to Purchase order somewhere?  .....If yes then...Would like to change  MOT ( TTYPE) by selecting one of the existing MOTs in a particular Tlane based on some logic. Have a plan to put this logic  in CIF related user exit  at APO inbound.
Its multiple MOT in one tlane scenario. But I am not sure if user exit can be used to change MOT related to a purchase order.
Kindly share your opinion on the issue.
    Thanks
    Best Regards

    Hi Experst,
MOT si seeen as attached to Purchase Order once we do right click in Planning book to check details. I am trying to understand if its stored in LC only or in DB table and if we can chaneg it programatically .
    Thanks

  • Basic Customizing for new SCM system

    Hello,
we are implementing a brandnew SCM 5.0 system. Does one of you know where I can find a checklist what steps should be done as "basic" setup?
    I'm talking about things like:
    - setup RFC destinations
    - define logical systems
    - Create model 000
    - Create planning version 000
    Thanks and Regards
    Stefan

It depends on which are the SAP Modules-Functionality you are implementing
In your list you can add
    -- CIF related to settings
-- Live Cache settings done properly or not (Basis Team)
-- SAP Standard Planning area/Infoobjects are present in the system or not
-- Planning Object structures are active or not
-- Consistency check to be done for Live Cache, DB, Time seris etc
Rest in more details you can get from the link

  • Relevance of CIF_IM* tables for APO

    Hi,
Could someone share with me details on the relevance of the CIF_IM* tables in R/3?
I understand that they are relevant during CIF related transfer, and also relevant during CCR to identify teh APO relevant master data/transaction data. Also, these tables must be relevant during GATP checks.
As per my understanding, the records in these tables must be getting created/updated when we activate an IM (integration model).
If someone has more detailed understanding of how the records in these tables are created, or get updated, and also in what kind of scenarios and when are they accessed, could you please share the same?
PS: Reason for asking is that there is a comment from the R/3 Basis team that this table is being accessed too many times, and could be causing performance issues in R/3. I have already run RCIFIMDL to delete the superfluous entries, but I am not able to think of way in which somehow the number to access to these tables could be reduced (Also don't know if that is even possible).
    Thanks - Pawan

    Pawan
The CIF_IM* tables are updated when you generate/ activate the Integration Model. There is a CIF_IM* table for each CIF object that lists the filter criteria for that object - for example, CIF_IMATP has material/ plant combinations for all ATP Integration Models. There is also table CIF_IMOD that has a list of all integration models (active as well as inactive).
The CIF_IMAX table contains the filter criteria for ALL Active integration models. In this table, the filter values are 'optimized' for storage in a LRAW field format, which means that its unreadable by us people and needs to be decoded by the accessing program. Storing redundant information in this manner is supposed to improve read performance.
Where are you seeing performance issues that prompted your BASIS team to look at table access statistics ?

if you haven't recenlty changed the password for the SnapDrive (domain?) account and nothing changed in DNS or local windows hosts file, then it's most likely a problem with the cifs status on the storage system: the storage system needs cifs service to be running and working fine within the workgroup or the domain. If not, it won't accept any RPC calls. As a matter of fact, I do see some CIFS related errors on your storage system: Thu Jul  2 01:00:57 BST [sunmisysf01:nbt.nbss.socketError:error]: NBT: Cannot connect to server 10.80.49.117 over NBSS socket for port 139. • WAAS-CIFSAO Error replying to client

I observe these WAAS CIFS errors on wae devices in my network. Can you please throw some light on when these errors occur and their effect.

    Hi,
    Thanks for sharing the information.
To be frank, it is tough to narrow down and pin point the problem. The best way to nail down this problem would be to open a TAC case. I suspect few defects mentioned below but not sure if you are really hiting any one of this because we need supporting logs to confirm that.

Few options if you want to try that might help you.
Option 1: 4.1.5f is getting older now. You may want to upgrade to 4.3.1. The big reason behind upgrade suggestion is - there are lot of CIFS related fixes that have gone after 4.1.5f code.
Option 2: reload WAE. This might help temporarily but issue might come back anytime.
Option 3: Apply "disk delete-data-partitions" and "reload" on WAE from CLI. This will clear all the cache that is built up and may address the issue temporarilty but again, the issue migth come back anytime.
    Hope this helps.

  • Stock trasport order

    Hi all,
When we convert stock trasport order to delivery in R/3, APO creates purchase order with zero quantity automatically. What can be the problem. Do you have an idea?
    Thanks,
    Burak
Edited by: burak gocer on Sep 9, 2008 1:07 PM

    Hi Burak,
It appears to be a CIF issue. We had a somewhat similar one there were POs in APO with 0 quantity. I don't remember the Note implemented for this. Check CIF related SAP Notes.

  • Sales Order Delivery Priority is not CIFed from ECC to APO

I Have CIFed all master and transactional data like characteristics, products, Resources, PDS, Sales Orders, Stocks, Production and Planned Orders without any issue appart from the following: Delivery Priority of Sales Order:
for all the Sales orders that I have assigned PRJ (project sales orders) I have assigned delivery priority 1.
however after CIFing of sales orders although quantities are correct I do not see order priority in Sales Order in APO:
this is the second test system I have and when I CIFed S.O. in the previous test every worked as expected.
Do you have any idea why this happens?

    Hello Babu,
    it is a version 7
there were actually some CIF related BADI's that I had activated for test reasons and I deactivated them although they did not seem to do anything. there were not any user exit activated.
I CIFed using CFM2 & RIMODINI and the results were the same. moreover there was nothing in inbound and outbound queues.
    Thanks,

cleared by the "no accelerator cifs enable" command the re-enabling it a few minues later. then ran ok for rest of the day, this morning started getting the same messges again.

  • App freeze on accessing Samba shares

    Hi,
I really didn't want to have to make a topic on this, as I've searched all over the place and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm the only one with this problem (unless I've somehow missed something).
Basically I have some Samba shares set up like this in my fstab:
    # Share Mounts
    //<address>/share1 /home/eldersnake/Shares/share1 cifs noauto,x-systemd.automount,users,uid=eldersnake,gid=users,password= 0 0
    //<address>/share2 /home/eldersnake/Shares/share2 cifs noauto,x-systemd.automount,users,uid=eldersnake,gid=users,credentials=<credentials location> 0 0
The problem is periodically, trying to access/mount these shares through let's say, Dolphin (but it happens in any file manager I try) causes the program to simply hang. It will stay there, hung and cannot be killed, even with the "kill -9" command. Only rebooting gets rid of the process.
And looking at the process list with KDE's system monitor lists the affected program status as "disk sleep". Again, it cannot be killed. I've seen this happen with my file manager, Clementine (when I tried to open up a file, therefore it opened up the file dialog and I clicked on a share mount) and even in my terminal...
    Even running
    sudo mount /home/eldersnake/Shares/share1
for example, nothing happens. The terminal is simply hung and never completes.
I say this happens periodically because sometimes it seems to work just fine. Then some days, it does the above consistently. I'm really unable to pin it down.
Anyway I removed the x-systemd.automount option from fstab and so far I have not been able to reproduce this problem. I'd file a bug report but I can't help but wonder if I've missed something obvious and I'm unsure how to provide evidence that it's systemd specifically causing the problem. Thanks for any help.
EDIT: I should add this occasionally also happens on a separate machine, my netbook. Again, only after adding the systemd automount line to the fstab file.
Also manually mounting the share with
    sudo mount -t cifs <share> <directory>
always works fine. It's simply when using the fstab entry combined with systemd automount.
EDIT: Took systemd-automount out of the title as I am not sure its the cause anymore.

Okay, still happening. Often I reboot and everything works fine but sometime later, can be 10 mins...could be 10 hours, this problem re-emerges.
I did however manage to catch this in dmesg

Not sure what to make of it though other than it's something CIFS related, but whether CIFS itself is the problem I'm unsure. I just installed the samba daemon as suggested above though and will see how we go.
EDIT: The pid it's referring to in the stacktrace is a process which I noticed appears as a zombie after the problem occurs. The process is "gvfs-udisks2-vo".

  • CIF of master data

    Hi,
My question is related to the CIF of master data.
I built an integration model to transfer the materials from R/3 to APO, and then the delta modifications are CIF by a background process at night.
I would like to transfer all the delta master data, but having one excetption.
I do not need to transfer the safety stock delta changes in R/3 to APO, so that I maintain these values independently in APO. The issue is that the safety stock values in R/3 are also changed but with another purpose and the R/3 values are overwriting the values that I am uploading directly in APO after the delta CIF transfer.
Is there any way that I can CIF the delta master data changes in R/3, but restricting the delta safety stock changes?
    Thanks a lot!

Yes it is possible. You have to add custom logic in the material CIF user exit to turn off the update of safety stock fields in APO. Actually there are a lot of threads in this forum that discuss this issue.
You can start by referring to the thread below

  • Yosemite 10.10.1: Finder/CIFS mount problem: wrong folder count/folders not shown @samba shares

    Hello to all,
we have several MacBook Pro (15" MBP Retina 2012/13"MBP Retina 2014) running. After upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 we had one nightmare after the other.
Most problems could be solved with 3rd party software upgrades but there are several problems with the operating system itselve which can not really  be called a professional productive system at the moment...
Ok., one thing after the other...here is one of our biggest problems:
After upgrading from Mavericks or Mountain Lion to Yosemite 10.10.1 the CIFS/SMB mounts to our samba 3.x servers, running on Ubuntu Linux LTS 12.04 makes trouble. We could mount the server shares but after browsing with the Finder the beach ball occures and the Finder hangs forever. Sometimes we could not refresh the Finder, killing the process ended in a complete hang-up of the system which ended in a switch off death blow. This is not amusing because we have 30Tb of customer data there, which has to be worked out.
We heard about the SMB3 protocol which will be used per default in Yosemite and so we decided after some testings to upgrate our Ubuntu servers to the latest LSF 14.04. release with samba 4.1.6 installed. There was no message from Apple for this SMB protocol release upgrade, never heard something related to Yosemite (Why?).
Ok, after these server upgrades and disabling most of the Spotlight functions the performance to the CIFS shares was a little bit better as before but now we have another problem with the Finder...if you browse to the shares there are folders missing which have lots of files in it. For example there is a folder with 60 subfolders and 3562 files on the first level in it, the Finder shows 220 files and 15 folders. The Terminal shows a different count with "find . -maxdepth 1 -type d | wc -l" or "find . -maxdepth 1 -type f | wc -l" but there is also a difference to the original file and folder count. It doesn`t matter if the clients are connected via WiFi or Gigabit Ethernet. We have no access problems. We have the same behavior if we set the files and folders to 0777 permissions on the servers. The deletion of the preferences files of the users on the MacBooks does not solve the problem. If we use the "Go To Folder" option and type the path to a folder which is not shown in the Finder you get an result or not. But it is also possible that the result is not correct and there are also still files or subfolders missing.
In my opinion this is a timeout problem and a "special SMB3 protocol interpretation" which is buggy. We have one hint found in /var/log/system.log:
    "Jan 23 14:35:49 wsosx33.clients.getcom.de KernelEventAgent[69]: tid 54485244 type 'smbfs', mounted on '/Volumes/customersdata2015', from '//x144067:@srvlxp013.servers.getcom.de/customersdata2015', not responding"
We had no problems with Mavericks at all, we still have no problems with Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate, Windows 2008R2 (native or virtual) or Linux Mint 17/17.1 clients, neither with samba 3.x nor with our actual environment and different newer samba releases.
We believe that this is a big bug in Yosemite, but we cannot go back to Mavericks because of incompatible TimeCapsule backups. Our workarround at the moment is that we have installed Linux Mint on our MacBooks to get 80% of our daily jobs done, rest has to be done with Windows 7 installed over virtualbox @Linux.
We have no clue at the moment how to solve this problem, the samba logs do not give any hint. The access from other operating systems is perfect and very fast, but not with Yosemite. We checked different tips found in the internet but nothing helped.
Does anybody has another idea to get Yosemite working or should we keep Linux Mint until Apple will provide a CIFS/SMB patch and going on with our workaround solution, which is productive at the moment ??? Our staff is not amused and wants one solution and not this workaround with two operating system. We have to decide wether we wait until Apple will get this fixed or we have to switch to Microsoft Windows (which is a No Go for me, but I will not be asked...).
    Thanks in advance
    C.

    Hi William,
    thank you for your response.
As you can read in my post I talked about CIFS/SMB.
It makes no difference if we mount the share over CIFS or SMB.
Folders with lots of files will not be shown even if we use SMB3 or an older protocol.
As mentioned I believe this is a timeout problem.
Does anybody know how the CIFS/SMB timeout setting in Yosemite could be changed?
    Kind regards
    C.

  • Error in CIF for Purchase Info Records

    Hi,
I am trying to CIF Purchase Info record from R/3 to APO but its getting stuck during activation "generating delta Model".
Can anyone please help in this regards, I have already read the link related to BD22 but which message type do we need to delete. Also what can be the other reason.
I have CIFed Plant, material, vendor in the same sequence also I have extended material to vendor manually in APO.
I have one more issue the vendor code 1000000 in R/3 is getting create as 0001000000 in APO can this cause a problem
    Thanks,
    sanjog

    Hi Sanjog ,
Iam not sure why you are looking at tcode BD22. It is not relevant to PIR transfer .
Also to CIF the PIR for a material from R/3 to APO, it is not necessary that the material should exist in the vendor location in APO. (You need to create the material at vendor location only if it is required specifically for your business scenario).
Now , to identify what is causing the problem , you have to check the inbound queue in APO and outbound queue in R/3. The tcodes are SMQ2 and SMQ1. You can also use the queue manager /n/sapapo/cq in APO . Check what the error message is and correct the master data in R/3 accordingly. Then delete all blocked queue entries (/sapapo/cq can be used ) and then run the PIR CIF activation again.
    Thanks

  • 7310 - Problem with CIFS and Roaming Profiles since upgrade to 2010.Q1.0.2

We have developed a strange problem with our environment which I'm pretty sure is down to the upgrade to 2010.Q1.0.2 from 2009.Q3.4.1 on our 7310 (all the previous 2009 releases had been fine) since nothing else has changed in our environment. I suspect some changes to the underlying CIFS server causing this?
We have virtual Windows servers hosted on a VMWare VSphere cluster which are stored on the 7310 via iSCSI LUNs and also CIFS shares on the 7310 for home directories and separate CIFS shares for roaming profiles - all paths are correct in AD for each user - we also use folder redirection for XP Pro clients to force things like "Application Data", "My Documents" etc. onto the Homedir share.
What we've been seeing recently (which only started happening after the upgrade) is a lot of failed logons to the domain for users. It looks like the usual corrupted profile problem that has plagued Windows forever ...the usual messages that it cannot log the user on with a copy of their roaming profile, and that it will use a temporary one. Some folder redirections (that are initiated via Group Policy) also don't get applied. Users don't see errors when logging off from a "good" profile, and NTUSER.DAT etc. seemingly gets written correctly - the next time they log on, around half the time the users will get these errors as described below:
Event viewer logs show "cannot find the file specified" errors for NTUSER.DAT, along with "directory name is invalid" errors for some of the folder redirections.
More worrying (and what I think might be the real reason for these failures) are the "offline caching is enabled on the roaming profile share" errors. I think that the client-side caching might not be working - possibly the profiles aren't getting flushed and written correctly upon logout?
Now, unfortunately the MMC snap-in for managing shares doesn't seem to support changing the behaviour for client-side caching on the CIFS shares (as confirmed in the latest 7000-series Admin Guide on page 198).
I've been thinking about unchecking the "Enable Oplocks" box which from the CIFS side would completely stop all client-side caching I presume?
Is this likely to be the culprit here, or is there any other known behaviour that could be causing these errors? Is it also worth disabling "Cache device usage" altogether for the Profiles share itself?
Can anyone help? It's a bit of a strange problem, and something I don't want to raise with Sun on our support contract just yet, since at first glance it looks like a Windows problem, but I suspect the storage could well be to blame...

Unfortunately, this is still not working correctly...
So, it looks like it's not related to the offline caching seeing as it all works on the Q2009 despite the warnings...
Some more errors coming out of userenv.log on the affected Windows machines:
USERENV(280.284) 10:07:33:230 ReconcileFile: GetFileAttributes on the source failed with error = 2
    USERENV(280.284) 10:07:33:230 CopyProfileDirectoryEx: ReconcileFile failed with error = 2
    and later:
USERENV(280.284) 10:07:33:245 GetShareName: WNetGetConnection initially returned error 2250
USERENV(280.284) 10:07:33:245 CopyProfileDirectoryEx: Leaving with a return value of 0
USERENV(280.284) 10:07:33:245 RestoreUserProfile: CopyProfileDirectory failed. Issuing default profile
...which then forces the TEMP profiles.
All other errors linked to this look like "file not found", "invalid path" etc. when the files are present and the paths are correct.
Manually mapping drives using CIFS with UNC paths sporadically fails too now. We have a bunch of GPOs that map shares to users depending on their group memberships - these too are sporadically failing.
It certainly looks to me like it could be a CIFS problem introduced in the Q2010 release.
I'm going to raise a ticket with Sun...
