Trying to get Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium to work with CIFS in NW65sp8.
TID 3437586 mentions registry edit below as a fix for vista home premium,, i don't find this entry in Win 7 64-bit home premium. If i create the entry in win 7 home premium will it work?

How to make a distributable "reg" file

"LmCompatibilityLevel"=dword:00000001
Save the file with a ".reg" extension. This file can be distributed to any Vista client that is having problems connecting to Netware.)

You won't find the registry entry because it's not been set and
therefore the default is another value. You need to create it to change
that value (to the above).

Hello
I bought a new PC in April which has Win7 64-bit Home Premium on it.
Although I had previously intended using this PC solely for music production, I've decided to also use it for some fairly basic AVCHD editing.
Will I have any problems using PE7 on this PC?

My current set up is:
Win7 64-bit Home Premium.
i7 930 2.8GHz Quad Core (also overclocked I'm told)
6GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
I have 3 x HDDs:
500GB Software and OS.
500GB Audio Files.
1TB Sample Files (and anything else I wish to put on it).
I'm fairly new to filming and have a Panasonic HDC HS9. At this point, my intentions are to do some musical performances, possibly to put on Youtube/Vimeo etc.I am aware that these websites will likely compress my audio to heck. However, it would be great just to have some HD footage retained of the performances for personal use and prosperity.
Just for background info, what I am intending doing is:
Recording my audio via my preamps into an RME Multiface II (Audio Interface) into Cakewalk Sonar Producer Edition 8.5.
Transfer the footage from my HDC HS9 to my DAW via the USB cable or SD card.
I was then intending exporting the audio (.wav) from Sonar and then importing it into PE7 and syncing it up with the footage.
Is my setup okay for PE7 providing I persevere with the possible VST blacklist issue?

In this case, you can try repairing windows image using DISM command.

Error 1720 when installing CS3 on Win 7 64-bit home premium

I've been directed to the Forum for help as the Support Tech said she could not help me as they only help with CS5. She said that CS3 WON"T WORK on a Windows 7 machine and yet I have googled and found people who have had it work. She then told me that they will probably experience lag and other errors once they start using it more fully. I smelt BS right about then in that conversation. She couldn't confirm that if I purchased CS5 upgrade that my CS3 upgrade would qualify as upgrade. Yeah, I'm really going to spend $800 to find out (not).
Basically it ended where I either buy CS5 or go the Adobe Forums for help.
So okay here I am. Long post (sorry) but want to get all the fact out there.
I purchased CS3 back in 2008 and installed on my XP machine.
Just purchased a new laptop with Windows 7 64-bit home premium.
Tried to install CS3 and as soon as it tries to install I get this message:
Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance.
Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
I have tried the following solutions (found on Google), none of them work:
1) installing in safe mode (with just Windows features in the start up)
2) redownloading the files to ensure I didn't have a corrupted version
3) installing as Administrator
4) deregister/register Windows Installer
5) looked for update to Windows Installer but mine is up to date
6) checked that Windows Installer had "started" on my laptop (yes)
7) used Adobe cleanup utility
8) used Adobe licence recovery (Acrobat Pro (CS3) wouldn't get past the licence stage although it did install)
Support Tech lady said that no old CS software would work on Windows 7 BUT last night I installed Photoshop CS Version 8 and it installed perfectly. What I noticed different is that PS CS V8 used Installshield whereas CS3 I am told didn't use Installshield.
So I am left with my new laptop using PS CS V8 with Dreamweaver MX.
BTW Dreamweaver MX installed okay and it used Installshield too - so is that the reason CS3 won't install - it not using Installshield?
Does anyone have any solutions not tried above?
Am I just going to have to use old software on my Win7 machine?

Yes I have tried the CS5 Cleanup Tool - multiple times. Doesn't help.
I am surprised to hear that you installed with no problems in light of Tech Support being adament that it won't work on Windows 7 and is not supported.
I told Tech that I didn't accept that as there are probably hundreds of thousands of users with CS3 who have installed or tried to install on a Win7 machine and not everyone has hundreds of dollars spare to upgrade.
I only really use DW, PS and Acrobat in the Suite so I'm going to have to save to buy those products but it won't be anytime soon.

I installed the windows 7 64 bit home premium in my mac pro but drivers are not installed. When i am trying to download the drivers through boot camp, it shows "downloading windows software.." and the progress bar never completes. Plz help me hw i can download win7 drivers?

HP Solutions Center for my Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium PC?

Hello Everyone,
I was able to succesffuly install my HP 1400 series all-in-one printer with my Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium PC.
However, I can not operate the scanning function or configure scanning features of the printer, since I do not have the HP Solution Center software installled on my Windows 7Home Premum PC.
That is the HP support link for me to download tand install the HP Solution Center
on my Windows 7 Home Premum PC?

Hi Warren,
I assume you simply plugged the printer without preinstalling any software. Please correct me otherwise.
Please remove the existing device as following:
Unplug the USB from the back of the printer.
Enter Control Panel > Devices and printers
Right click any 1400 printer icon, then click Remove Device.
If there are several icons of your printer, repeat the same for any of them.
Reboot your PC.
Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Left click once any presented printer (e.g. Fax), then click Print Server Properties on the Top bar.
Click the Driver tab.
If there is any 1400 listed, select it and click Remove.
Select to remove the 2nd option. Remove printer driver and printer driver Package.
Download and install the Full Feature Software for your printer (HP PSC 1400 Series) below:
*Make sure not to connect the USB till prompted to do so during the install.

Latest version of iTunes for Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium downloads just fine. But, fails to install.
"Unblocked and gave all permissions." Still, no go.

Ok...This was very odd. I left the installation program, in what I considered a frozen state on screen. After about 30 mins, to my surprise, It installed! I'm not computer literate, so, I don't know what to say. But, to just WAIT for it to respond! Good Luck!

so i just received my mac pro =) base config with 8800GT.
i just installed windows vista 64-bit home premium via boot camp. everything is going fine, it's just when i open task manager, it only sees four cores instead of all eight. is it because i have home premium, not business or ultimate? or is something wrong? thanks!

Programs that support 64-bit Vista (few are being updated or written for Pro) show better performance - cleaning up code base and adding features, that you won't find in 32-bit.
There are Vista and MS newsgroups that deal just with games.

Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium SP Question

I noticed in applying new updates to a fresh installation of Windows 7 64-Bit Home Premium that Service Pack 1 kept getting offered to me again and again in Windows/Microsoft Update even though I was selecting to install it every time. Is this because
I had not yet installed a prerequisite update? It eventually stopped offering me SP1 when finished installing other items.

Trouble installing Vista 64 bit home premium

I am trying to use boot camp to install Vista 64 bit home premium. The disk is a full install. Boot camp works fine, but when I insert the windows disk and attempt to boot off of it, I am confronted with a screen that gives me two options with no names, labeled only 1 and 2, and instructions to select a CD boot type. However, I cannot select any of them because my keyboard does not work! I have tried several times, with several partition sizes, and even brought out an old USB Microsoft keyboard, which is still not recognized. I have done this with only non-apple peripherals, as well - microsoft mouse, acer monitor, and all USB devices plugged directly into the back of the computer. I have not seen this problem listed anywhere else, so can anyone here help me? I have looked everywhere. Thank you.

It is an issue iwth our older EFI 1.x (or EFI32) and Vista SP1 64-bit that needs UEFI 2.x (EFI64).
Sort of the same issue as the Nvidia 8800GT had to come out in two flavors.
I have Windows already installed, older pre-SP1, and from there I can install SP1 DVD.
At this point, I much prefer Windows 7 over Vista x64 SP1 or SP2(beta). Just runs better. Last day tomorrow maybe to download.

I have installed boot camp and Win7 32 bit on my iMac (2010) but I can't start from my mac os even by holding the option key. Windows doesn't recognize my wireless mouse either, but for now going back to the mac os is the priority. Can anyone help please?

Hold the Option (Alt) key after hearing the startup chime and until you see all bootable partitions in the screen. Do you see the OS X partition? If so, select it to start up in OS X. If you want to start up in OS X by default, open System Preferences > Startup Disk, and select your OS X partition.
Respecting to your wireless mouse, you have to install the Windows support software. To download it, you can use Windows or OS X, from this site > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630 If you are in Windows, decompress the file and run the installer. If you are in OS X, follow the steps of the website to burn it to a USB drive

Photosmart C3135 and Win7 32-bit: Nothing happens when application looks for TWAIN scanner

When I attempt to scan a check for my bank or input a picture to Open Office via TWAIN scanner, absolutely NOTHING happens.
This used to work; I think it worked after migrating from WinXP SP3 to Win7 Home Premium 32-bit.
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. No change.
Ran HPDoctor; it complained about and then "fixed" TWAIN. No change in Firefox (my bank) or Open Office. This all used to work.
Help?
