• FB50 allows posting documents requiring release

Hi All,
I have implemented the FIPP workflow for document parking. When the user PARKS the document, in either FV50, FV60, FB01 or FB50, the process works fine and the document is taken through the approval process. However, if the user attempts to POST the document using FB50, the system allows them to post. Ideally, the system should not allow the user to post, because what good is a workflow process if the document can still be posted regardless of whether it requires a release?
Any ideas how to prevent this from happening?

Can you please explain if the authorization is based on whether the document requires release (as determined by config) or based on role / profile assigned to the user determining what activities can be executed by the user? If it is by user profile, then my question is how do I make the POST step check whether the document requires release / approval before actually posting the document. The system does this check in FV50, my question is why not in FB50?

• Adobe 8 - Form create failed because document requires password

I created a one page form in LifeCycle designer 8 and it requires a open passowrd due to HIPPA requirements. When I go to distribute the form in adobe 8 professional and select "save and send", I can create the "dataset" pdf but when it tries to create the "pub" PDF I get the following error:
Failed to create a data set. Detailed error: This document requires authentication (e.g. a password).
When I opened the form PDF, it requested a password and it took the one I created in lifecycle designer.
If I remove PDF security in lifecycle designer, the 2 datasets are created; dataset & pub. If I try top add security to this pub file it fails due to reader 8 extensions.
How do I create a form with password open protection from lifecycle designer through professinal 8 and create the fillable and savable PDF ->pub.
Thanks much

Yes, I have set the PK. Actually this is happening when the number of columns are more than 63 columns. After I reduce the number of column, it is working fine.
Is it the actual problem???
fyi, I'm using jboss as the Application Server...

• Elements of Config document.

Hi,
I have to prepare a configuration document for an impementation project.
As a Consultant, what are all the cares and importance have to be given while preparation of a configuration document.
And who will be the intended audience for a configuration docuement.
Regards,
R. Dillibabu.

Hi
The important elements of a good Config Document (for each Config element) are:
1. Use
2. Prerequisites
3. Procedure
4. Screen Shots
An extract from a good config doc is reproduced below:
Maintaining Storage Locations for Plants
Use
A Storage Location is the place where the physically materials are kept within a plant.
Prerequisites
Plants must have been created.
Procedure
1.To carry out the activity, choose one of the following navigation options:
a.Transaction Code OX09
b.IMG Menu: Enterprise Structure ->Definition ->Materials Management ->Maintain Storage Location
2.System will give a popup screen where in system will ask for a Plant for which you want to define Storage Locations.
3.Please input the value XXXX in the Plant field, and press Enter to continue.
4.Click on New Entries pushbutton to create new Storage Locations.
5.Similarly do for the other plants.
Finally Paste the screen shots.
The audience for the config doc is the respective (MM, FI, etc) consultant from the Client's team.
Thanks

• V_V2 (Unconfirmed documents required)

Dear SD Gurus;
In the selection of V-V2, the client says that it doesnt work properly.Even if the sales order has confirmed quantity, after running the V_V2 with the selecion "unconfirmed documents required" selection, the program changes the schedule lines of V_V2.
I wanted samples but not at hand at the moment. Can there such a case normally? I am not sure that the client can be wrong. But please suggest me if you have met such a case for this program up to now
Many thanks in advance
J.Black

Dear Czaba;
I am giving my answers below, thax for detail-explanation.
1)
You mentioned you have 3 sales order concerning that material.
- please give the material number also on the selection screen
- mark the "Unconfirmed documents required" checkbox (P_UNCONF).
Do you get any SO? If yes, you should see at least 0 in "prev. confirmed qty" for one item.
***My answer:One of the 3 sales orders 1179669 has 200 CS for that material and "The prev confirmed qty" is zero for 23.12.2009 and 200 CS for 28.12.2009.So there exists zero qty as a 1st schedule line and old date.So the msae case for the second sales order. The 3rd sales order has already confirmed for 2 different dates and both schedule lines confirmed. Please confirm here that even if the schedule is confirmed for a future date and there exists zero qty for past date, this causes the 3rd sales order to seem and rescheduled again?
2)
You mentioned you have 3 sales order concerning that material. Do the sales orders have any other item that is not confirmed?
If yes an
- all items are confirmed for your material and
- you do not specify the material number on selection screen
and you run the report with "Unconfirmed documents required" seting you will get your already confirmed item iin the report. too.
***My nswer:You say that when we run the report without material but with "unconfirmed doc req", we can get already confirmed item. That's ok but not our case.
As a conclusion, the functionality for the selection "unconfirmed doc req" means, even if the qty is confirmed in a sales order(manually or automatically), when we run the program V_V2, the already confirmed item of the 3rd salesorder for that material is rescheduled again.
Please confirm my understanding here? But it seemed to call it as "unconfirmed doc req".because the 3rd sales order is already confirmed but it's processed/scheduled again.Maybe better to say "unconfirmed mat req" )) Isnt it?
thanx for help
Regards,
Csaba

We are on SRM7.0 with SAP 4.6 C as backend SAP R/3 system (Classic Deployment).
When we try to create an invoice in SRM wrt a PO ( with item category B ... created from a limit SC with invoice only option), we get an error :
Line 1: Preceding document required for the invoice is not available
We are not sure ..why this error is coming and what preceding document system is checking ?
As the PO is with item category B.. the GR is not required
Any inputs will be highly appreciated..
Thanks and Regards,

Hi!
This error usually comes up when the PO has the flag GR_BASEDIV set. Please check your PO and verify if it is flagged.
