CIN installation on ECC6 SAP system upgrated from 4.6C SAP release

Hi all,
We have a ECC6 SAP system upgrated 4 years ago from a 4.6C SAP release system. In the old SAP release we don't have installed CIN 40A for India localization, and now we need to have this functionalities has we have to do a rollout on SAP for one indian company.
Problem is that we don't have found any OSS note that explain clearly what we have to do to have in our ECC6 SAP system CIN functionalities.
After application of support packages on level 17 (up minimum required by OSS note 1175384) we have launch function j_1bsa_component_check but we have exception that country IN isn't installed.
We can't use transaction O035 as we have a SAP system already customized.
Thanks in advance for any help or useful information someone can do us about this problem.
Sorry if this couldn't be the right forum to post this type of message, but is't difficult for me, in this particular case, to find the right forum for this type of question.
Regards
Gianpaolo

  • Not Able to see SAP systems in List of Available SAP Systems for Crystal R

    Hi All,
We have installed Crystal reports 2008 and SAP integration KIt client software on my machine. I am trying to create Crystal reports based on the BI query and I could see SAP Connections in the 'Create new connections list' but not able to see any SAP systems in the list of 'Available SAP Systems'.
How to Add SAP systems to this list.
    Thanks,
    Chindam Praveen Kumar.

    1. Define an environment variable (user or system) with the name SAPLOGON_INI_FILE . This variable should contain the path to your saplogon.ini file including the file name eg. if the saplogon.ini resides in the folder c:\windows the variable should contain the following value c:\windows\saplogon.ini
    2. Open your saplogon.ini file using Notepad and go to File->Save as. Choose All Files in the field Save as type and DO NOT change the name of the file. In the field Encoding make sure that UTF-8 is selected.

  • SAP system access from mobile device

    Hi Techies,
One of my client requirement is as below:
For WMS operations they need to access SAP from mobile devices, SAP suggested to use SAP Console for their requirement.
What are the available options to achieve this?
And any sample docs/Install guide links?
    Env is SAP 4.7
    Regards,
    NIck Loy

    Hi Nick,
    1) We are running on ABAP engine(SAP 4.7), is it possible to use SAP ITS ?
Yes, it is possible: you can use the ITS 6.20; SAP note 325616 will provide you with more information.
    2) If possible what are the mail installation kits, R/3 activities to activate the ITS service?
You can go through the installation guide:
htp://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Frontend Components (ITS / GUI) -> SAP Internet Transaction Server -> 6.20
Here you find the Installation Guides, for example SAP @WEB 6.20 (SAP ITS) Inst. Guide Patchlevel 23 or higher
    I hope this helps,

  • Login to multiple SAP systems using pwd of single SAP system

    Hi All,
We have 3 different SAP servers, with sids: ECD, BWD, HRD.
for each user, a user with the same username is created in all three systems.
the user does not want to maintain 3 different passwords, instead only single password to be used in all systems. i.e. when he changes the password in system ECD, the changed password should work in other systems BWD and HRD as well.
if we were using SAP EP, we checked the possiblity of username based SSO and having portal login using only on system ECD.
but we are not using the portal, and all the users will access 3 sap systems using SAPGUI.
is there any way, where one system's password will work to login to other systems.
    thanks in advance,
    Madhu_1980

    Hi Tim,
You're right about the fixed client for the MYSAPSSO2-ticket-issuing system. In the case for Java, the "client" is specified inthe UME parameter login.ticket_client. And the trusting ABAP system will have to add the Java system + "client" into its ACL (in addition to the certificate). This "client" will only play a role in that "trust" relationship.
As for launching the actual transaction via SSO, this is how it works.
SAPGUI transaction will be launched by a thing called Portal transaction iview. That iview will have a parameter called the System Object. The System Object will determine which ABAP system-client it will connect and logon on to. So if you want to logon to multiple clients, then create one System Object for each of the system-client combination, and then create transaction iviews to each of the corresponding system object. The iviews will be presented to the user which then allows the user to launch the transaction iview (specificy SAPGUI link in the iview property)

  • Calling a Report from one SAP system(4.7) to another SAP system(ECC6)

    Hello Gurus,
Recently we have upgraded from 4.7 to ECC. While upgrading we were used one Z program to download the objects from 4.7 and used Z program to upload the objects into ECC.
Now we are planning to integrate Z program of 4.7 and Z program of ECC into one program in ECC. When we execute the program in ECC, system should call the program of 4.7 remotely and download the objects in ECC after providing the selections in selection screen and upload program take care as it is in ECC.
I am trying to use SUBMIT statement but I am not sure about the remote call. Could you please suggest on this.
If any one worked on this please suggest me.
In 4.7, the program is ZTOOL,
    Thanks and Regards,
    Muralikrishna Peravali

    Hi Muralikrishna,
First of all, sorry for delayed reply, was quite busy this afternoon
But, let's see, only side you'll need to create RFC function module is target system (RFC) and at source system (ECC) you'll only need to call this function module defining your target system (see DESTINATION option for function module calls).
In this way you'd have following:
1 - program at ECC side that will call RFC function module (at 4.7 side)
2 - RFC function module at 4.7 side that will trigger (SUBMIT) target report, also in 4.7
3 - for last, your target report in 4.7
So, answering your question, it is possible to make your target report (3) to generate a file and download it at 4.7 side (application server or, locally, presentation server, whatever you pass as file path to RFC function module, and then and therefore to target program, as long as you have authorization to). In a simpler approach you'll call a program in a remote system (in your scenario that 4.7) making use of a RFC function module (also in 4.7) to allow you to. All started through a RFC call from a program in your source system (ECC).
Not sure my explanation was good enough, please let me know.

    Edgar

  • Non sap system access from SAP

    Hi,
I have to pick a file from non sap server to sap server , also i have to execute a software on non sap server .Please tell me the
    steps .

    Generic questions require generic answers:
    >  I have to pick a file from non sap server to sap server
Open explorer and copy the file.
    > , also i have to execute a software on non sap server .Please tell me the  steps .
Install the software and execute it.
Seriously, if you have a question be as specific as possible. We don't know anything about your environment so nobody can give you a suggestion what you can do to solve your issue. We have no operating system, no database, what kind of "file" that is, which data it contains, what kind of non-SAP software this is, how you want to execute it....
The more specific you are the higher is the possibility that someone had a likewise issue and has a suggestion.

  • Regarding Migrating data from Legacy to SAP

    Hi All,
We are in Migration Project. We have to upload data from legacy to SAP, either using BDC or Cross-Applications in the following SD scenario's.
    1. Customer Master
    2. Inquiries
    3. Quotations
    4. Proposals
    5. Sales Order
    6. Goods Issue
I would like to know, which concept is better for each of the above scenario. Each option have advantages and disadvantages. So, I need suggestion regarding this.
    Regards,
    Sathya.

    hi
LSMW and BDC are vastly different.
BDC (Batch Data Communication) is a technology used for data transfer. it is meant for transferring data thru SAP transactions itself. when u use BDC for data transfer, the sequence of steps is the same as when u use standard sap transaction screens for data upload. the only difference is that u can use different options for foreground/backgrou nd processing.
LSMW on the other hand is a tool that helps migrate data from a legacy system (non-sap system ) to SAP system. it offers u various options to use either batch input, direct input, BAPIs or idocs. it involves a series of some 17-18 steps to migrate data.
    BDC:
Batch Data Communication (BDC) is the process of transferring data from one SAP System to another SAP system or from a non-SAP system to SAP System.
    Features :
    BDC is an automatic procedure.
This method is used to transfer large amount of data that is available in electronic medium.
BDC can be used primarily when installing the SAP system and when transferring data from a legacy system (external system).
BDC uses normal transaction codes to transfer data.
    Types of BDC :
    CLASSICAL BATCH INPUT (Session Method)
    CALL TRANSACTION
    BATCH INPUT METHOD:
This method is also called as ‘CLASSICAL METHOD’.
    Features:
    Asynchronous processing.
    Synchronous Processing in database update.
Transfer data for more than one transaction.
Batch input processing log will be generated.
During processing, no transaction is started until the previous transaction has been written to the database.
    CALL TRANSACTION METHOD :
This is another method to transfer data from the legacy system.
    Features:
Synchronous processing. The system performs a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement.
Updating the database can be either synchronous or asynchronous. The program specifies the update type.
Transfer data for a single transaction.
Transfers data for a sequence of dialog screens.
No batch input processing log is generated.
    LSMW:
The LSM Workbench is an R/3-based tool that supports You when transferring data from non-SAP systems ("Legacy Systems") to R/3 once or periodically.
The tool supports conversion of data of the legacy system in a convenient way. The data can then be imported into the R/3 system via batch input, direct input, BAPIs or IDocs.
Furthermore, the LSM Workbench provides a recording function that allows to generate a "data migration object" in an entry or change transaction.
The main advantages of the LSM Workbench:
    • Part of R/3 and thus independent of individual platforms
    • A variety of technical possibilities of data conversion:
    • Data consistency due to standard import techniques:
    Batch input
    Direct input
    BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces)
    IDocs (Intermediate Documents)
The import technique to be used in an individual case depends on the business object.
    • Generation of the conversion program on the basis of defined rules
    • Clear interactive process guide
    • Interface for data in spreadsheet format
    • Creation of data migration objects on the basis of recorded transactions
    • Charge-free for SAP customers and SAP partners

  • Loading non-standard Hierarchies from an external Sap System

    Hi experts,
We are trying to load a hierarchy of a non-standard characteristic from an external Sap System. From what we know till now, we can't create a Generic Datasource to load hierarchies, so the only way is to use a File Datasource (csv file, for example)  to load it.
Is that true ? Is there any way to load a non-standard hierarchy from a Generic Datasource ?
    Thanks In Advance.

    It's a customized hierarchy with Z tables.
No way, other than flat file. Maybe I can use an ABAP report to create a flat file with the hierarchy, reading the data of the R/3 system with native-sql, and then, launch the load with this file stored in the BI SAP.
    I mean:
    _________________________________________________Native SQL
flat file (csv) (BI SAP) <-- ABAP Report  (BI SAP)  <--
       hierarchy tables (R/3 SAP)
We want an automatic way to load the hierarchy. Is it a good idea ?

  • Callig RFC from Non SAP System

    Hi,
I would like to know how can I call a RFC enabled Function Module from a non SAP system, I know of Webservices, SAP API, SAP jco etc but to download all this connectors (SAP jco Sap .net etc) you require SAP service ID logon, i do not have it, with reference to Web services i cannot use it since the client is not interested ...
    1) in short i do not have SAP service user id ... what are the other options for calling  SAP RFC using an application say java even if i can use any middleware to connect the java apllication and sap rfc it is fine.
    2) The SAP services is 4.7 and they do not use EP, Netweaver Developent Studio etc ... simple plain SAP System ... also what setting has to be done at the server side ...
    regards

  • JCo RFC from a UTF-8 System to an MDMP SAP System

We have a non-SAP-based application which is using the JCo to connect to and interact with an SAP system. Today the non-SAP system is using the "Latin-1" and "Shift-JIS" code pages and the SAP system is also using the corresponding SAP code pages/languages in an MDMP mode. The non-SAP system is proposing to move its application, content, etc to a "Unicode" system based on UTF-8. I suspect SAP won't like that code page difference across the JCo. The non-SAP app is calling RFC-enable function modules, of course. Is there something that can be done to ensure the text is properly transmitted, captured, and stored in SAP?

    Mick,
You have to ensure the function modules is in SAP if RFC enabled before you can calling it from outside SAP system. There are 2 types of connectors that you can use to achieve connection from non-SAP system.
DotNet Connection and Java Connection where the later is still supported by SAP on ongoing basis. You may refer here for the guide.

  • SAP System Logon selection shows up blank in Crystal Reports

    Hi there,
I've done the following so many times, in the following order, without running into any issues:
    1. Install SAP Front End
    2. Install Business Objects Enterprise 3.1
    3. Install Business Objects Explorer 3.1 SP1 (Polestar 3.1)
    4. Install Crystal Reports 2008 SP1
    5. Crystal Reports Viewer 2008
    6. Install Xcelsius Enterprise 2008 SP2
    7. Install Live Office 3.1
    8. Install SAP Integration Kit 3.1 (Custom-->Complete installation)
However, this time around  I've run into an issue which I'm trying to resolve, but it has been a nightmare. When I try to access "SAP Table, Cluster, or Function" from File menu>New>Standard Report>Create New Connection>SAP Table, Cluster, or Function, I see the "Available SAP Systems" section blank on the "SAP System Logon" dialog box.
However, this dialog box shows all the connections strings when I access it via the SAP menu or toolbar in Crystal Reports.
To fix this issue I've uninstalled SAP IK, CR Viewer and Crystal Report and reinstalled it, but the problem persists. I am wondering if you have ever come across this before and if you could please give me some tips to resolve this.
    Thanks a lot,
    Gaurav

    Hi
    please do the following:

  • SAP system IDOC - XI - SAP system IDOC

    Hi,
I have created several scenarios for sending IDOCs between different SAP systems, but I have a problem with just one SAP system that is a copy of our production system when is acting as a source.
    When sending the IDOC from source system, I can see the IDOC in SM58, with the following error message;
"client xxx is not available in this system" where the client is actually the client of the receiving system.
I have successfully sent IDOCs from other SAP systems to the same target SAP system so there is nothing wrong with the target system.
Anyone experienced the same? Any ideas?
    best regards
    Torstein

    Hi,
I am facing the same issue too. My target system is also release 700 and I have done all my SALE config, we21 settings. But still the error repeats as " Client XXX is not available in the system". How did you fix this issue?
