Cineform in PPro 2014.1 playback Native?

Is the new built-in Cineform codec read natively in PPro 2014.1?

Ok Thanks. I'm just trying to get a handle on the supposed performance and impact of using Cineform as a system wide codec for editing/compositing. We do not work with camera acquired ftg...everything is animation from in-house GFX dept. They are rendering for our use in various PPro Systems...both Mac and Win. We have bailed on ProRes as some of our Window builds will give errors when importing prores that was exported from the macs. We can not find a consistent reason for this error. So we are looking for a codec that is happy going to and from both mac and win.
And best performance - no dropped frames - is what we want. And we work mostly in 4k minimum....seldom good 'ol HD...however we do Previz in HD so that is another possible application for cineform.
So bottom line...Cineform is natively supported in PPro on both win and mac...meaning no further decoding needed for playback...and does that mean it does not access the QT 32bit engine for this process?

Render problem PPRO 2014 Low-level importer error MPEG (Importer)

A problem I have encountered in PPRO CC, and now encountered in my project rendering with insane consistence. Ctrl-M, export to Adobe Encoder 2014, starts render, 3-5 minutes of problem-less rendering, then render fails with the above error in logs. Close PPRo 2014, close Encoder, reopen, reinitialize, might last longer - 10 mins., fails again. PC, i7, 16Gb RAM, 40Gbs scratch SSD disk, Quadro 2000, on the timeline a mix of Panasonic AF100 and the Lumix assortement (GH1 hacked, GH3), plus 2 GoPro 3, all AVCHD or H.264 files.
Could that be a system configuration glitch? Because I noticed that sometimes it would persistently halt render at one and the same spot, other times it will glide through it like knife through butter but halt later on a clip/inbetween clips that were of the same type. On the other hand, on the busy comb of selected clips on multiple tracks in a multi-camera gig, it is most definitely halting renders. Once I've done rendering bit by bit and have a lineup on one track with an adjustement layer on top across teh whole length of the assembled cadence of clips with a few effects on it - it finishes rendering no matter however long the workarea is, no errors then. What is up? This is driving me crazy, rendering turned into tip-toeing around this problem with the assembly of long programming out of 3-5min pieces of successful renders. Help!

I'm working in a 1080p25 Timeline with Canon C300 footage (.MXF), normally it runs properly.

PPro 2014- no Media Core Folder??

On all prior versions of PPro Windows, the Media Core folder for plug ins is located at
Program files/Adobe/Common/Plugins/ PPro Version (CS6, 7.0, etc.)/Media Core
For PPro CC 2014, I should see a version 8.0 in the plugins folder, but it is not there.
I redownloaded and reinstalled PPro 2014, but it is still not there.
Is this an instillation error, or is there no longer a Media Core folder?
It's an issue to me because I have several plugins that will install only to the Media Core folder.

in this article adobe stated they did not create a new number for media core.. and it seems like my cc2014 apps are getting their plugininfo from the media core 7.0 folder (that's where the today's update of RedGiant Looks installed to 7-14-2014 version2.5.2 update)

PPRO 2014: ALT+[/] won't set working area start/end

ALT+[/] won't work in PPRO 2014. WIndows 7 x64, Russian. Previous PPRO on the same machine and this very installation of Windows responds to ALT+] command and sets the working area just fine, from both Russian and English language keyboard choice.
NOTE: PPRO2014 windows>adobe premiere pro help menu takes me to the adobe keyboard shortcuts that lists this as a valid keyboard shortcut for Adobe PPRO 2014.
Can anyone let me know if there are new shortcuts or something is wrong with my PPRO 2014 installation (files missing)?

Premiere 2014 slow playback

Just updated from CC to 2014 and wow... Playback with H.264 proxy files are super slow and choppy. I thought it was my graphics card (Quadro 600) so I upgraded to a GTX 660. No difference. Playback is still slow.
I'm confused cause playback was flawless on Premiere CC. Really strange and frustrating.
Not sure what to do. Any help?

Try converting your MP3 to AIFF ,QT or something else Macs like. See if that helps.

CC 2014 Mercury Playback Engine

Hi there
I'm running a Mac Pro 5.1 with an ATI RADEON 5770 graphics card. Mercury playback used to work with Premiere CC, but now (with 2014) it doesn't.
Is there anything I need to do to activate it again?

Just to confirm your 5770 has 1GB of memory? Curious if it has DDR3 or GDDR5?
Not sure why it would not be working if you have the minimum 1GB memory requirement. You may try removing the opencl_supported_cards.txt file from the directory.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 Playback Freezing, Audio Dropouts

There are several times when I'm working on a project, whether small, medium or large in size, where playback tends to seize up my entire machine and everything locks up/freezes for 3-5 seconds. Then when it starts to play again, I get the audio dropout error. After scouring through multiple forums, I saw one of the Adobe help suggestions was to remove the speakers (one that a user scoffed at). I thought, what the hell, and unplugged my headphones. Voila - playback is stutter free. Now, I haven't worked for hours on end yet so this is a preliminary result. My concern is that I work in an open office so I'm surrounded by colleagues working so having headphones is ideal. I'm in a catch 22 and not sure what solutions there are so I don't experience program hang-ups so I can work in silence.

Premiere CC 2014 no playback

HI,
I'm working on a wedding film currently, and i've got a serious problem.
Everything was just working fine and suddenly my blackback window didn't work anymore.
When I hit the spacebar it didn't work and it went from the play button, so stop, to play again in a split second.
I restarted Premiere with shift pressed on bootup and reset the workspace. I could use the playback window again...
... for three seconds... Then it froze again and I didn't get it to work again.
Exporting is possible but the sounds are not at the right place.
When I click Show Audio Time Unit in my timeline it says something like this (01.02.03.04:000000) instead of just 01.02.03.04.
I'm now reinstalling the Program and i hope it'll help.
It's a 2 hour film with like 30-50 hours of editing so I don't want to do it again...
I hope someone can help me with this.

Hi, I had the same problem.
What I found is the audio external interface needed to be reset.
So I've did this : quit Premiere, unplug my USB audio device, plug it back and launch premiere.
Every was fine.
Hope it work for you.

Ppro 2014 crashing randomly. Any suggestions?

Just installed the update yesterday after using all the previous versions without any problems at all. Error message just says it will close due to an unrecognized error.
Now I can't open my project that was last saved from the previous version? Anybody have the same problem?

Have you repaired disc permissions?
FYI: Intel Iris won't give you an optimum performance.

Why isn't Adobe PPRO 2014.2 not handling H.264 files?

It will not render with my MacPro with the Hardware rendering when it use too.
Im having project files and Media encoder exporting crashing all the time.
This is far worse than the Audio Syncing issue we had in one of the last updates.
This makes Premiere Pro None functional with crashing left and right, exporting and rendering crashing.

Double click on the triangle to read the log why it went wrong.

Cineform-How to read this codec on pre-2014.1 systems

What is involved for pre 2014.1 systems to read the new cineform codec that ships with PPro 2014.1? I am looking to use in both AE CC-v12 and PPro 2014 and CC 7.2.

Premiere Pro 2014.2 is crashing

I have my MacPro I purchase in January of 2014 and never really had any crashing issues.
Since the latest update to PPRO 2014.2 it is crashing allot.
Like every hour.
Also was able to render by HARDWARE RENDERING OPTION and had to switch to SOFTWARE RENDERING OPTION since the update too.
What are you doing to me ADOBE.
I have had a bad experience with each update you guys do, it always something different.
1st audio syncing issue.
2nd refreshing thumbnail images on all clips on sequence every time you touch it.
3rd now rendering and crashing issues.
Never had any of these issues back before the 2 month audio syncing issue.

Just crashed again.

Opening Premiere Pro CC 2014

I have the full suite of adobe video and audio products - CC. I Downloaded PPRO 2014 tried to open. It took me to the usual agreement page etc, then it takes me to the "Getting Started with Premier Pro" page, there you have 2 options -LICENSE THIS SOFTWARE OR START TRIAL. I am confused. Why would I need a license if I already have CC and why on earth would I want a TRIAL can someone assist me with this.

Hi,
Really struggling to get PPro CS5 to playback smoothly, it continually stops when playing back TGA files and some quicktimes, but will perform quite happily in Safe mode? AVI files play fine in normal mode though. I've tried logging in and opening as administrator, but absolutley no joy.
System set up is:
Intel Core i7 CPU 880 @ 3.07GHz
16GB Ram
W7 64bit OS
Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 3d video card
Video is on my D drive and premiere runs off the C drive.
Any help please as I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere and it's really starting to affect productivity!

Link Audio in RedcineX and then bring into PPro?

RedcineX now has a really fast way of linking audio to RED footage, Auto finds the correct file and syncs, pretty incredible.

I guess it'll depend on how you get linked files out of REDCINE-X PRO. The tutorial didn't cover that.
