Cinnamon painfully slow to start after LightDM

Hello,
I'm having problems with Cinnamon startup. After I type my password in LightDM, it takes about 10~12 seconds for cinnamon to appear (and arch is installed in a SSD). The applications that come with cinnamon, such as nemo or the control center also take about 4~6 seconds to start the first time if I try to open them (after starting it one time, the program opens normally and fast if I try again).
I've already tried what I found on the net about this problem, such as adding "exec cinnamon-session-cinnamon" in the ~/.xinitrc file, but nothing seems to work.
What can I do to fix it? Because having to wait this long to use arch is really terrible and I really want to continue using it.

I have the slow start as well. I came from GDM where the machine would take over a minute from boot until it got to a login dialog., I switched to LightDM and now my boot is down to 25 seconds (approx), but I get a 20 second delay starting Cinnamon.
I personally think the culprit is DBus. I have not had the energy and time to put in to narrowing it down, though.
FWIW:
Acer V3-771 iCore 7 16MB RAM 1T HD (not SSD) nVidia Optima, no testing repo, latest updates from core, extra, etc.
