Circle on photos

In LR 4, a small dark circle is appearing in the right upper corner of an image; hovering over it does not bring up an explanation and when tapping on it, it turns white?  Never have noticed this before, does anyone know what it might represent?  Thank you.

  • IPhone 4 camera - red circles in photos

    Hi
This issue isn't anything new for me, it's always occurred under certain light conditions.
I get red circles in my photos, sometimes  prominent, sometimes less so, when taking a photo in direct sunlight.
What is causing this issue? I'm getting sick of trying to battle it.
    An example below.
    Thank you for any help

    Sorry for the late reply.
I'm not using a case, but I do have a protective sticker on the rear.
The sticker doesn't seem obscure the lens, but it does make contact with metallic insert which surrounds the lens, but doesn't actually go onto the lens itself...
Why would you think a case could have this affect anyway?
    Thank you

  • Centered concentric circles in photos

    Hi all,
I just noticed my camera shows centered circles. They're in the center so it's not dirt, is it some kind of damage? What should I do?

  • Help with making circle shape photo....

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me
    out please.
I am using Photoshop CS Version 8.   I have a photo which I would like to print out but in a circle shape.  I'm a bit of a novice at Photoshop and can only really re-size, crop and alter tints/hues and thats about it.  After struggling with this I found this tutorial in Youtube but go so far and am stuck.
    http://http://www.youtube.com/user/ijaza83#p/a/u/2/nmz40OH7LK4
The photo is 4 x 5.3in but I want the circle to be 4 x 4 in.  That is what I sized it when I did File, New.  I can draw the circle but its not a steady line, its like dotted and when I click the background or anywhere in the image, the circle disappears.  Also by fluke, another time I got as far as placing the photo and dragging it to fit but could not get the photo inside the circle.  I'm not good at layers and mine seem to say set 1, not stage 1.   I don't find it as easy as it is in the video.  Can anyone enlighted me please?

I use CS3, so I can tell you how I'd do it, but I can't be sure it's applicable to your version:
    Open the photograph.
Create a new layer on top of it.
Double click on the background layer to unlock it.  It now becomes Layer 0.  Move Layer 1 under Layer 0.
Go to the Eliptical Tool and set the Fixed Ratio 1 to 1.
Circle the picture - move the dotted circle to frame the area you want.  Then Select -> Inverse; Then Edit -> Cut.
Merge Down, and save as a JPEG.   Then you can print the image.

  • Really wierd stains when inserting photoshop files into my indesign document

    Dear Indesigners,
I had encountered this problem before. Then I exported the file as JPEG and printed from there on.
But now it really bothers me what adobe is doing.
I am creating a birthcard. There for I designed the background (in indesign with simple lines & circles). Photo with ribbon I designed in photoshop. The circle pattern around the picture is also in Indesign.
Whenever I print this file from indesign I get really wierd stains on my Photoshop part of the document.  You can verify this in the attachment.
If I export this and print from there, the stains are nowhere to be seen.
Is this some weird setting that I have looked over? The Photoshop document is in CMYK format.
    This is the export file:
This is the scanned, printed file (increased contrast)

  • Printing iPhoto Library or iPhoto Album

How can I print all the photo thumbnails in my iPhoto library or in a specific album on several sheets of paper? I want to send someone all the photos I have in a specific album so they can circle which photos they want me to make copies of. Is there anyway to print out the entire album (or iPhoto library) in small thumbnail samples on several sheets of paper? Hopefully this makes sense!

Select the photos, click print and select the contact print theme on the left - if the lay out is not what you want you can change the numbers of rows/column by clicking customize

Thank you very much for your answer.
My company is actually american. But its headquarter is located in France, so our softwares are in french. That is why I have posted my comments in french because the settings and translation are quite different.
I found something under "Extras"  and that works very well. I didn't know that we could enable or disable this option. That helps me very much, I was wasting my time by clicking in the wrong place.
Somehow my Indesign software crashes at leat 10 times a day. I still don't know why. Does this come from InDesign directly or does it come from my Mac, especially the new wireless mouse. I tried a regular mouse and I have the same problem.
Thanks again to get back to me.

I think you'll get a lot more assistance if you post in English.
You can turn off the Content Grabber (circle within photos) with View > Extras > Hide Content Grabber. (not sure what that translates to).

  • Some pictures in I-Photo seem to be corrupted. When I click on them, the photo comes up for a second, then the picture turns black with a white fuzzy circle inside it and what looks like an explanation mark. Some older, some newer,  no common thread.

Some pictures in I-Photo seem to be corrupted. When I click on them, they come up for a second, then turn black with a white circle in the middle and what looks like an explanation mark. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to the photos that are a problem, some older ones, some newer, some albums have none, some albums have a lot.
    Thanks,
    Mark

time to time (when I have a chance), I will go to Finder, bring up ALL Images and start going through them to label them (before I put a label on them, they are simply listed as 123 jpg, 124 jpg etc.).
You're damaging the Library doing that, and that's the cause of your problem.
Never, ever, ever use the  All Images search and work on items in yoyr iPhoto Library. They must only be accessed via the iPhoto window.
Restroe from abck up or try rebuild the Library:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
Next: You need to learn how to use iPhoto. There's no need to be dragging things to the desktop:

  • I photo keeps circling but won't open

When I open I Photo all that happens is it keeps circling nothing else. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this so I can use my I Photo?
    Thank you
    Suzanne

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
Also as a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and try to create a new, test library.  Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

  • Why am I forced to go round in circles? Why is nothing simple in computerland.I have an ICloud icon or is it an Apps installed on my PC and would like to use Icloud to store photos. But can I access? NO. I have set up an ID this was rejected " No account"

Round & round in circles I go trying to understand the logic behind the variuos stages of trying to get to grips with (I thought) a connection to Icloud for storing my photos & perhaps other things. Boy, was I wrong. I have installed on my PC anIcloud icon or is it an APP which I have tried to log on to. I set up an ID & password but this dosn't work as I do not have an account. When I tried to access this the caption said not recognised altho my name appeared at the heading. Am I going mad?? Can any one explain how to successfully get into the Icloud for storage?? PLEASE HELP

Why don't you explain what you want and what is happening without all the extraneous 'detail'

  • In PSE11, how do I "crop" a photo into a circle?

I would greatly appreciate step-by-step instruction on how to "crop" a photo into a circle in PSE11.
I've created an invitation for my daughters 1st birthday and I want to add a circular photo of her on the invite, but I can't seem to figure it out.
I understand that I can't technically "crop" it but I need the image to appear to be circular by using the transparency feature.
    Again, I need a step-by-step as I'm still new to PSE11...
    Thank you!

I'm curious as to why reply#1 didn't work. That is basic PSE stuff. Was the selection still active with marching ants as asked in reply#3? Perhaps somehow the selection was deleted before doing the inverse.
If you do get that to work, note that you first must convert the picture to a "regular" layer by renaming it from "Background" to anything else. Then the deleted portion will be replaced by transparency. If you do the delete on the Background layer the deleted portion is simply replaced by the color defined in the background color chip on the toolbar.

  • Help! Some of my photos in iPhoto have a big round white circle with an exclaimation mark in it. Can you help me?

Some of my photos are opening and then immediately showing a big round white circle with a black exclaimation mark in the center. What the heck is this and how do I get rid of it? Help Joy

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iphoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I get that....er still can't paste the bugger.

Then I'm afraid that it's likely a damaged database.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums back.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Neither camera or screen damaged, grey circles appear in all photos. Any fix?

When i take a photo the images have grey circles appear, and also a red mark. I can zoom and turn photos and the marking move with what i'm doing so it isn't the screen. I have checked the camera from the outside, and even taken it to my local o2 store who i purchased the phone from and they cannot see any damage to the exterior of the phone. Any ideas on a way to fix this?

if you take a picture with the front camera does it do the same?  assuming your using the back camera.
