  • Report for Support Message,  Change Request and Change in one overview?

Is there a report that shows the relation between the support message, change request and the change in one overview? I am already aware of the Change Management Reporting via SOLAR_EVAL, but this does not show the whole document flow in one overview.
The incident message processors want to have a quick overview of the status of the changes that are created on the basis of the support message.
If there is no report, could you point me in the right direction... Do I have to create a query or are you using BW for service desk/charm reporting?

    Hi,
    I found solution for this.
    Below are the steps:
    1.     Go to Start > Run. Start the registry editor by entering 'regedit'.
    2.     Select the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and navigate to \Software\Microsoft\Office\
         a.     Create an 11.0 folder, if it doesn't exist, by selecting Edit > New > Key from the menu.
         b.     Create a subfolder called PowerPoint
         c.     Create a subfolder under PowerPoint called InstallRoot
         d.     You should now have the folder structure listed below:
              HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\PowerPoint\InstallRoot
         e.     From the InstallRoot folder create a string value called "Path" by selecting Edit > New > String Value
         f.     Select the newly created Path value and select Edit > Modify.
         g.     Under the Value Data field enter "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\"
         h.     Click OK.
    Thanks,
    Nimesh.

    Hi Data Modeler Team,
support for {table abbr} and {table} in table scripts ("Table properties"->"Scripts"->All four tabs) would be greatly appreciated as it makes it easier to use boilerplate SQL in these areas.
Is it possible to add this feature to one of the upcoming releases?
    Thank you,

  • Office 2013 Home and Business - Click to Run wipes out the Office files from the Programs folder

We are having an issue with a number of clients running Office 2013 H&B in a domain environment, after a click to run update.
It appears the update is ran in the background and after a reboot, the program files short of a few .DLL's are completely missing. Office still shows as installed through the control panel.
We have to use the office removal tool and reinstall program completely.  System restore does not fix the issue.
These are Dell Latitude and the version of Office shipped with the machines as an OEM version. There was nothing pushed from the Dell update utility for Office.
They are running Avast AV and it is not affecting all users presently.
I've been on hold and getting transferred around Microsoft's support lines all day as Microsoft support can't seem to figure out which department should troubleshoot the issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing some research. And I  might involve someone who is more familiar with this kind of issue to deal with this problem.

  • Office 2013 Home and Business

I have installed multiple copies of Microsoft office 2013 home and business over the last 3 months with no issues but now when I go to office.com/setup to install another copy on a different computer it comes up and ask for the product key which I enter.
then it takes me to the Microsoft account login screen, and after I log in I get buttons to install but the buttons represent previous copies I have already installed.  if I download one of these copies it install but wont activate the normal way.
Is there a limit on the amount of copies that can setup under 1 account? or any help would be appreciated

    Hi Andrew,
As far as I know, Office Home & Business 2013 is an One-time purchase version of Office for a single PC. (More reference:
    http://products.office.com/en-us/buy/compare-microsoft-office-products)
So with one license of Office Home & Business 2013, you can only install Office on one PC. How many licenses of Office Home & Business 2013 are associated with your Microsoft account?

  • Does the Report Generation Toolkit support Office 2007?

With the hot-out-of-the-oven Office 2007, Microsoft has done a complete overhaul of the Office environment that we all have spent many years learning to perfection (well.. almost). Lucky those who got a head start as part of the Office Beta program.
Well, NI claims that the current version of the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit supports "Microsoft Office 2000 (Word, Excel, and Graph) or later" and therefore literally also the new Office 2007.
I doubt that the ActiveX API has remained unchanged when developing Office 2007, so let's use this thread to uncover the experience you have with calling Office 2007 applications using the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit.
    Anyone???
    - Philip Courtois, Thinkbot Solutions

We are currently working on a maintenance release for the Report Generation Toolkit to support Office 2007.  You can install the current toolkit with Office 2007, but you will have some problems.  If you copy the four LLBs from the Compatibility\Office 2003\vi.lib\addons\_office folder on your Report Generation Toolkit CD to the corresponding vi.lib\addons\_office location in your LabVIEW folder after installing the toolkit, things will work for the most part.  But you won't have 100% compatibility until the maintenance release is done.

    Hello @xandux,
I would like to assist you today with the answers to the questions that you have regarding the HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer.
Q1: The print drivers for the HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer and HP Officejet 7410xi All-in-One Printer are compatible on the same computer.
For the Officejet Pro 8625 you would first run the Wireless Setup Wizard on the front panel of the printer to connect it to the network.
    How to Configure Wireless:
On the printer touch screen, touch the Right Arrow () to display the second navigation screen.
Touch the Setup icon (). The Setup Menu screen displays.
Touch Network, touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch Continue.
Wait while the printer searches for routers that are within range of the printer. The Select Network Name menu displays.
Scroll down the list of network names until you find the name of your network.
Touch the name of your network, and then touch OK.
If prompted, enter the WEP or WPA key. This is case sensitive.
The printer will now connect to the network.
Once your printer is successfully connected to the network than you may run the installation of your printer.
The driver package for both Windows Vista and Windows 8.1 is the same. Should you want the latest drivers for the HP Officejet 8625 on both computers please click here to download the drivers. You will need to open that link on both the Vista and the 8 Computers. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Once the download is complete the installation window will pop open. The onscreen prompts will walk you through the quick and easy install. You simply select that you are connecting a Wireless printer when prompted, the installer will search and find your printer and complete the install. You simply sit back and hit 'next' a few times. For additional install assistance and documentation please click here.
I can assure you that your HP Officejet 7410xi All-in-One Printer will not be affected by the installation of the HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer as they use completely different drivers.
Q2: The HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer uses the HP Printer Assistant Software rather than the HP Solutions Center Software. The Printer Assistant Software installs with the printer. Therefore, there is no separate link available for this. The Printer Assistant will load an icon on your computer that looks like this:
Once you click on that icon you will see a similar screen to this:
Q3: The User Guide for your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer can be found here. It is for the Officejet Pro 8610/8620/and 8630 products as they are all within the same series.
The Officejet Pro 8625 is identical to the Officejet 8620. For specific specifications for just the Officejet Pro 8620 (8625) series printer please click here.
There are slight differences between the 8610, 8620, and 8630 products.
The Officejet Pro 8610:  Print speeds are slightly slow (19 ppm in black and 14.5 ppm in colour), letter size flatbed glass, no automatic duplex copies/scans. The specifications for this printer can be found here.
The Officejet Pro 8620 and Officejet Pro 8630: both models are identical with their specifications. The only difference is that the Officejet Pro 8630 comes with 2 paper trays. The specifications for the Officejet Pro 8630 can be found here.
Q4: For detailed setup and install instructions please refer to the two documents below.
For out-of-box hardware setup instructions please click here.
For installation instructions for Windows Vista and Windows 8.1 please click here.
Q5: There is no switch that should have to be altered when printing envelopes. You simply load the envelope within the paper tray and select Print, just like any other printer. For instructions on how to properly load envelopes please click here. The only issue I have seen is that people aren't 'telling' the program on the computer that the printer is printing envelopes. This may cause a 'paper mismatch' error as your machine 'thinks' it's supposed to pull letter size paper and doesn't detect that as loaded in the tray. If there was a hardware defect with the switch when the HP Officejet 8625 first came out, we are not seeing those issues now so the switch issue must have been corrected.
Q6: Because of the Printhead design within these printers, there must be ink inside the printer to print. Therefore, if you run out of yellow ink, you must replace the yellow ink to continue using your printer. Once a cartridge is empty the printer goes into a 'depleted cartridge' error state. When this happens you are not able to use any features of the printer. The best course of action would be to keep an eye on your ink levels. When you start getting prompts that your cartridge is low, have a cartridge on hand for when the ink finally does run out. What I would recommend is if you're not planning on printing a lot in colour from your computer set the 'Black Ink Only' feature under the driver to ON. If you do not have this feature enabled, when you print from your computer certain print jobs are sent to your printer as 'image' files. If a document is sent to the printer as an 'image' file the printer will use colour ink to enrich the black on the document. This causes the colour ink to run out much faster than anticipated. If you turn Black Ink Only ON only black will be used for black documents. If you want to print a colour document you simply disable the Black Ink Only feature for that specific print job.
For more information regarding why this occurs and how to set Black Ink Only please click here.
Q7: Your machine is designed to go into sleep mode after about 10-15 minutes. This is not a design flaw. Ideally, once your printer enters sleep mode, if you need to print something you simply send the print command and the printer will wake up and respond for you. Occasionally sleep mode has issues. One issue for instance is when you have a networked printer. Sometimes the routers don't send the print command to the sleeping printer properly and that causes the printer not to 'wake up'. This can be corrected with altering settings on your router. The other issue may lie with a programming issue within the printer. The best course of action to avoid sleep mode issues would be to ensure that your printer is running the latest Firmware. The latest Firmware can be downloaded here.
Q8: Again, powersave mode is the same thing as sleep mode. You should have no issues allowing your wireless Officejet 8625 to go into a sleep mode. Once the printer is asleep you simply send a print job to your printer and the printer will 'wake up' and print for you. It is rare to see 'sleep mode' or 'powersave' issues. Always keep the Firmware up to date to avoid programming issues.
Q9:  Microsoft has recently released a HotFix to correct wireless printing issues as they have found printing issues within the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems. This issue is not specific to HP or the HP Officejet 8625. Rather, the issue seems to affect all wireless printers on the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems. The HotFix can be found here. Once the website opens you simply select the button for HotFix Download Available. Follow any onscreen prompts to install the HotFix. There has been a lot of luck with running this fix.
I hope this information helps to clear up any issues you may have. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums!

  • Installed Office 2013 home and Business and its prompting activation for Office 2013 standard

    Dear Friends,
Previously i got a trial version of Office 2013 stadard version on my PC and later on i purchased Office home and business version, i uninstalled standard version restarted the PC and installed Office 2013 home and Business OEM pack and activated the prduct.
Now while i am opening any  office product like Excel or Word while checking for activation information there its showing me both the versions of office, Office 2013 standard (activation required) and office 2013 Home and business activated. Now my question
is why that office standard 2013 is still showing in my activation page where as the same version was unable to find in my control panel programs and features. please help me out to get rid of this issue.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Maybe you didn't remove the the Standard version completely, I suggest you uninstall Office using the Fix it tool:
    Click this Fix it.
Or we can uninstall Office 2013 manually, the steps are long and depend on your installation method, please refer to this article below:
Manually uninstall Office 2013 or Office 365
Note   Before you start, you need to know removing Office manually is a long, complex process and might require that you reinstall the operating system if certain steps are done incorrectly.
After the uninstall, install the version you need to check the result.

  • Office 2013 Home and Business not updating

I have two PCs on my network that I bought from Dell. Both came with a license for Office 2013 Home and Business. Office trial version was already on the machines and i just registered and activated the trial version using the licenses I was given from Dell.
Everything was fine until I was troubleshooting a duplicate email issue in Outlook on of the machines. At this time I noticed Office didn't appear to be on the latest version of click-to-run. I am relatively unfamiliar with click-to-run Office 2013 and the
changes to how it updates. Apparently it does this automatically. Problem is these two machines don't appear to be updating at all. I can't find an update history just a version number. I found online and performed the following troubleshooting steps:
1.) Disable then re-Enable Updates by going into File -> Account -> Update Options
    - this seamed to start the downloading of updates but they never installed. That window telling me they were
downloading just goes away and nothing happens.
2.) If "1" doesn't work try an Online Repair.
    - the repair begins and ends before completing saying "Something happened". This effectively breaks the install and
a following dialog box explains that Office was uninstalled.
    3.) Re-install Office
    - but have to run a cleanup tool first to remove remnants of previous install. I then find it difficult to find an
installer that will work at all kept getting "Something happened" message. Finally Dell support found an installer that
works. however even after the install Office will not update.

Per your post, it seems that you activate the Office 2013 Home and Business trial version by Dell provided. I can confirm the update service is available for Office 365 subscription users, but I am not sure whether it is working for the trail version.
You'd better confirm it with you Dell provider or post a new thread in
    Office 365 forum, thanks.

  • WSUS and Office 2013 Home and Business

    Hello all,
I've actually set up Microsoft MDT 2013 to deploy OSes and Application for my company. This includes Office 2013 Home and Business (Click-2-Run version).
I've downloaded O2013 media with Office Deployment Toolkit, customized it to be deployed automatically through a network share, and then made it available through MDT 2013.
Everything runs fine, except one thing : Our WSUS server offers Office 2013 updates to our windows clients. It becomes very painfull, as  it takes a loooong time to apply theses updates. Moreover, there are useless.
    3 points :
On my Office 2013 H&B customization file, I've decided to disable any Office 2013 update through the XML File. Without success.
    <Updates Enabled="FALSE" />
According to Microsoft, Click-2-Run software does not use WSUS channel.
I don't know it it's usefull, but my WSUS server is hosted on a Windows 2008 R2 Server.
    Thanks for your help.

Our WSUS server offers Office 2013 updates to our windows clients. It becomes very painfull, as  it takes a loooong time to apply theses updates.
What are those updates? Have them got installed successfully?
As you already know, Office 365 is not patched via WSUS, it pulls updates from Microsoft CDN server which is a web-based service. Therefore, even WSUS downloaded those updates, they should be marked as "Not Applicable".
Do you have any other MSI-based Office instances on the machine?
