What you are refering to is the Prepaid Calling Card system, or DebitCard. You don't need to know TCL unless you want to customise the solution.
Prompts are stored on a tftp server and downloaded as necessary.

Cisco 3640 cant configure voice-ports

I've an cisco 3640 with a VWIC-2MFT-E1 network module. Can anybody tell me why i cant configure any voice-port? without able to configure voice-port, i cant assign any port for my "dial-peer voice xx pots". Anybody has any solution?

Cisco 3640 - Error : Uncompression of the image failed.

Having a problem booting my Cisco 3640 Router and get the following errors in boot "rommon" mode:
Error : Uncompression of the image failed.
invalid compressed data--format violated
Error : zip decompress failed
Does anyone know what might cause this and what I can do to get it booted up into IOS?

Update - I have already tried uploading a new image to flash: using the rommon> xmodem command and got the same results. Thinking that my flash SIMM card was toast, I then tried installing the IOS image from a PCMCIA Smart card. Again, got the same errors. Anyone know what might cause these errors and how to fix them?

Cisco 801 ISDN Router Problem

Hi at all,
I need your experience with this device! I will implement a remote connection to a customer.
Following constellation:
My PC --> Our ISDN NTBA --> provider --> Phone System customer --> S0 --> ISDN 801 Router --> End Device
My problem is when I call the phone number with my mobile phone the call takes place, the router brings up the channel and hold this for a few seconds.
The he kick me out than he can´t speak with my end device.
When I do this with my remote pc nothing happens only this.
He hangs up and I must restart this application to do the next attempt. How can I fix this problem?

We always and always got this error:

The problem was the cable! The following pin-out is required:

We used this and the fault has disappeared!!
The only problem that still exists:
After the first connection the router must be rebooted because otherwise no more additional session is established.

Low Audio on Cisco 3640

I am using Cisco 3640 for H323.I am observing a problem for sometime,that the Audio on the Voice calls is too Low and we cannt hear the Conversation very well...Is there any Voice Port Config etc to Make the Audio Louder on the cisco 3640.Pls,Advice.

I tried the above and the thing surprises me is that as soon as I change the input gain unde the voice port use for my Origination Calls from 3 ( input gain 3 ) , the call doesnt gets completed and I troed other settings like input gain as 4 dB , 5 dB and it didnt work..the calls only work at input gain 3...pls,comment ...Also,Advice If we can use the Input gain and as output attentuation under the same voice port ..Does it make any sense.??Pls,comment.

Cisco 3640 and ips.

I have loaded a cisco 3640 (128/32) with c3640-jk9o3s-mz.124-13a.bin and enabled the ips signatures. I show SDF release version S46.0. I show 132 active signatures. I do not seem to be able to update these signatures using either cli or SDM. How out of date is this configuration and does it have any value as an ids system?

Thanks for that. What would be the specific filename? Something like c3640-is-mz.122-8.T10.bin? I'm still trying to get my head around Cisco's naming conventions. I'm after an IOS that will do the job with minimal use of resources. It has limited memory at the moment, I'm waiting on some that I bought on eBay to arrive. Cheers, Matt.

however the radius server can only record the call during when I use g729 codec.
If I use g723 codec, the call during is 0...?

3640 ISDN T1 + gatekeeper + Radiator (radius) Prepaid

I wish I am doing the right thing.
I wish to ask people to enter the password before making the outgoing voip call from 3640 voice gateway.
But I don't want the user to enter the username, as the username suppose to be their incoming telephone no. such as their mobile phone or home.
I only want them to enter the pin for authentication, then make the voip call with PREPAID feature.
Which document should I refer to.
What I got is only router IOS GK, Router IOS T1 PSTN GW, Many fxs gw. Radiator radius server and now only acting as a CDR.
What else I should do in order to
(1)deploy a prepaid feature voip
(2)username is predefine incoming pstn telephone no.
(3)only password pin is require
(4)the tcl script

Cisco 2960x - auto qos voip cisco-phone on access ports

After configuring "auto qos voip cisco-phone" on a stack of 2960x switches, we later noticed that after a power cycle (config was saved first) it went missing when doing a "show run" from the interface configs, on one of the switches (g1/0/1-48 had it applied, then after power cycle it didn't show). However, doing a "show auto qos interface" shows it is still applied to all interfaces g10/1-48.
I try to do "auto qos voip cisco-phone" again on g1/0/1-48, and it shows this:

If I attempt to remove "auto qos voip cisco-phone", it shows this:

It appears to be a bug in the code. Open a TAC ticket with Cisco and send them the output and the IOS version you are using so they can help you resolve the issue. Most likely, they recommend an upgrade.

IPSEC between Netscreen SSG-140 and Cisco 3640 Router

The symptoms are that the NS will try to build the IKE session and time out. Even with the Cisco debugging enabled I get no IKE nor IPSEC SA trying to build on the 3640. What am I doing wrong or what can I try?

Cisco 2600 ISDN to a Netscreen for backup

We are trying to establish a backup solution using ISDN for an ISP failure at our remote sites. At our remote sites, we currently have several flavors of Netscreen firewalls. According to Juniper, they support failover on the serial interface using ISDN to dial into an ISP. We have set up a Cisco 2600 with a PRI at our main location that will simulate an ISP router. Upon failure of the primary Untrusted connection on the Netscreen, it forces the ISDN TA (MultiTech MTA128NT) to dial the appropriate number and begin PPP negotiations. LCP never completes and the connection gets dropped. I have included the debug ppp negotiations output. Any ideas.
