Cisco 871 Guest Login Screen

Does this unit come with a default website that allows a username/password to access the WiFi? Example, a user comes in and sees the SSID and connects. When he gets on the web, he's presented with a screen for a username and password. Once he gets pass that, he has full access to the web.
Thank you.

Yes, There is a default internal web authentication that would prompt you to enter username and password. Once given, it will allow you for internet access as per configuration. This is called Internal Web authentication.

  • Cisco ISE Guest Login without provisioning

    Hi,
I have setup the ise based on  https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26442  whereby I have an authorization rule for CWA and an authorization rule for guestflow with provisioning. All is working great, however I was wondering if it may be possible to setup the ise with the following scenarios with dual ssid:
    1. user login to guest ssid and redirects to guest web portal and input guest credential created by sponsor (this is working well)
    2. user login to guest ssid and redirects to guest web portal and input credential from AD goes to provisioning (this is working well)
    3. user login to guest ssid and redirects to guest web portal and input credential from specified AD group and get internet/network access without provisioning.
For point 3, I was wondering if it may be possible and if so on how it may be accomplished? I have attached the present Authz rule for reference as well as the rule I have tried which does not seems to be working.
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks.

No it doesn't, you can test the same , while editing the wireless SSID profile, opting authentication method as smart card other than PEAP/EAP.

  • Cisco ISE Guest Login

    Hi,
I have a weird problem; after a guest user account has been created on Cisco ise 1.1.4 patch 8; when the guest user is redirected to the ise guest portal; the first login is always unsuccessful. Upon entering the login credential and password correctly; the client would be redirected to the same login page. Upon retrying the process a few times; it would succeed after 2-3 times.
On the ise authentication; I see a guest authentication error; "Guest Authentication Failed : 86020: Unknown exception" with only a single step seen on the logs for troubleshooting "5431  Guest Authentication Failed"
I would like to check if anyone has seen such an issue/behaviour?
    Any suggestions is appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • EA4500: weird login screen; can't login

I tried to login into my EA4500 today, and instead of the simple window that asks for the user name and passord, I am getting a Cisco Connect Cloud login screen.  It is very strange.
At the top it says: Cisco Connect Cloud/Powering Linksys Products
    and below that:
Sign In If you have not yet created an account, click the 'Create Account' button in the upper right corner of the page
There is a help button, a button to create an account.  There is a place where I can enter an email address and a password.
Pressing the Help button I learned that I can probably bypass this silly screen by disconnecting the internet.  Is there a better way to bypass this screen and turn off Cisco Connect Cloud?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This is unacceptable. What if the cloud is 'down" Please, Cisco, fix this mistake and let us access the router we bought the old fashioned way!! I don't want to downgrade firmware either but I will. PS, any good hackers find the back door?

  • IOS 6 and Cisco guest login safari issues

    Hi all,
I have been having issues with my Cisco m10 wifi router which has been installed at home and the same model at my beauty salon.
It seems that with iOS 6, Safari will not allow a login page to display for guests to log on.
I have been searching for a solution and the problem continues. Autofill has been disabled, I have changed a few settings on the router (found in another forum)
    The problem persists!
One thing I have found though is, if I use Google chrome the browser goes right to the login screen! I therefore presume it is an issue with Safari.
The problem is no issue at home, but at my salon it would require that every client come in and load Chrome first! The only way to do that is to first enter my secure non guest side of my network download chrome and then go back into the guest side and run chrome in order to login .
This makes no sense at all. Along with this, after a chrome login, safari will then work on the login.
Please Apple what is the most simple solution?

First of all, you won't get answers from Apple here.  These forums are only user-to-user, like you and I.
Did you try reloading the page in Safari when you launched it?  I don't get the login screen unless I reload the page first.
If you have to, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.  This will erase all of the Wi-Fi data on your iThing, such as router passwords, Auto-Join, etc, which might remove network-joining glitches on your iDevice.  Just know your router password (if you have one) before you do this, as you will have to enter it again.
    Hope I helped!

  • How do I stop  Guest Account from appearing on the login screen?

All of a sudden - like since I upgraded to iCloud - my login screen displays "Guest User". I have Guest disabled in Accounts. The only account I have active is mine. I don't want Guest to appear on the login screen. How do i stop it from doing so?

Even when the Guest Account / Access is disabled, the login option / and lock screen, still have a guest login.
This is because in Preferences/ Security & Privacy/General the bottom item is turned on.

I'm very new to the Mac world so pardon this noob question.  But how can I control what user accounts are visible on the login screen on OS X?  I've already went into the System Preference, User Accounts and set the Guest account to disabled.  However this account is still on the logon screen when I reboot the Mac!  How can I remove this account and/or make sure that my user account is the only one visible?

I'm not sure why this worked, but I found this in another post and it worked for me.

dated all the way back to 2012, I have decide to leave well enough along and not let the GUEST button bother me.
I rarely if ever take my Mac out of the house so I have not given much thought to theft or loss, but, in the event of it leaving my house by another way, the slim possibility of recovering it is worth the annoyance, I'll get over it.

  • Safari login screen after selecting guest account

I recently updated my iTunes and machine software and gained icloud. Unbeknownst to me, I somehow enabled a feature in icloud that gives me a guest account screen upon login. I chose that and it gave methe option of using safari only. I chose that and now I have a safari internet login screen, but can only surf the net. I read this is a security feature to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to your files. I understand however, I cannot log back into my account! I tried to reboot my computer several times but get the same safari login screen.
How do I log on using administrator rights to turn this feature off? I can get access using safe mode as intried to change the settings under security nbut have the same result.

Go to System Preferences > Users & Groups.
Click the item "Login Options" at the bottom of the left pane.
On the "Display login window as:" line, checkmark (select) the item "List of users".
Note - you will probably need admin access to be able to make any changes to the Login Options screen.

  • How can i completely remove a guest account? from the login screen too?

Having difficulty removing my guest account. I've gone to system preferences and unchecked the guest account but it still appears upon computer boot up as an option. I want it completely off and not showing on the screen when turned on.

On your login screen, that's not a true "Guest" account. It's actually a security feature..your Mac will restart to a secured Safari-only version of the OS with access to the Internet...this enables you to find your Mac using iCloud. Thus, this should NOT be disabled.

  • My keyboard doesn't work from the login screen, but when I login as a guest user it works fine (minus the brightness buttons, playback buttons, etc.).

I've already switched out the batteries and the keyboard works fine, so I fear it might be some sort of bug? All the methods of restarting or resetting certain settings can only be done from the login screen or from within an account, when the keyboard doesn't work, and the guest options are limited to non existent.

Try doing a SMC reset, you may need to do this 2-3 times as sometimes the reset doesn't always "take" the first time. To do a SMC reset, shut down the computer, unplug the power cord from the wall and computer, wait 15-20 seconds and restart normally and test. If after 2-3 resets it still does not work test another keyboard. If that keyboard works then this indicates your keyboard has failed and needs to be replaced.

  • Guest User from Login Screen

    Hello,
Under Snow Leopard, I was able to have a guest account show on the login screen and anyone could log into this account which would delete all data upon logout.
In have enabled the guest user in Lion and it does show up at the login screen. When the guest user is selected at the login screen it gives a notice that the computer must be restarted into safari only mode rather than loging into the guest account as before. If a regular user is already logged into the system and the guest account is selected from the fast user switching menu it logs in to the account just as it did on snow leopard.
I would like to know if there is a way to revert the login screen functionality of the guest user so that users can actually login rather than having to restart into safaro-only mode.
    Thanks

I erased my HD and installed Lion again. First thing I did was run all software updates. Once I got around to enabling the guest account it now functions as it should and how it did under snow lerpard.
My previous install of Lion was also a clean install on a blank drive so I don't know why it was a problem but it's working now.

  • Guest Login feature in SRM 7.0

    Hi,
How do we use Guest Login feature in SRM 7.0? Requirements are given below.
    1. Purchaser publishes Public RFx.
    2. In Conpany's web portal, link is given as "Open Tender-Click here" to enable one time bidder to participate in the Open tender.
    3. A new bidder who is not registered as bidder in the organisation would like to participate in the Bidding. He clicks on the above link in the organisation's web portal which will login as "Guest" and direct him to the SRM portal where the Bidder can see public tender Bids.
    4. He opens the Bid and analyse the details. Then he can decide to participate.
    5. Then either ROS can be used or conventionally he can send mail to the organisation requesting to be a Bidder.
I heard some custom developments are done in few projects with custom screens. But can we achieve the same in a standard way. If developments are required, then complexities involved or process involved in the developments.
    Regards,
    Prasanna

    Hi Vineela,
According to my information this BADI still exists.
There was a note that entered this BADI into SRM 6.0
1158310 SOCO: Missing BADI in search (first screen)
In SRM 7 this code is here, you could have a look and set BP in /SAPSRM/IF_CLL_DOM_SOCO_GAF1~SEARCH
to check what is happening, it may be something small.
There is nothing on our database about other customers with similar complaints.
The method you would need for sourcing is
    IF_EX_BBP_WF_LIST~BBP_WF_LIST_SOCO
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew
