Cisco Anyconnect für Mac OSX Fehlermeldung

Hallo,
bei dem Versuch über Cisco Anyconnect (anyconnect 3.1.00495.dmg) eine VPN-Verbindung in mein Hochschulnetzwerk herzustellen, erhalte ich folgende Fehlermeldung:
"The VPN client was unable to successfully verify the IP forwarding table modifications.  A VPN connection will not be established."
(siehe Datei)

engl. version:
Hello Marvin,
thank you very much for your reply. However I do not know what is meant with "pre-deploy-Installation". The installation of the program worked well, but I do not get a connection to the VPN-adress or rather to the desired network. So the problem I have is about the connection establishment as it is said in the fault indication.
So there is still a "?" left....

  • Cisco connect software for MAC OSX 10.8.2

    Cicso,
Please hurry up with releasing Cisco Connest software for MAC OSX 10.8.2
Mine doesn't work anymore with the wireless Linksys router E3000

I think we just need to wait until they update the software that will be compatible with this router. Who knows Cisco will be able to read this thread.

  • NSS3000 folder permissions for Mac OSX 10.5 and 10.6

    Dear all,
I'm working under the following specs:
    Cisco NSS3000
Network with Mac OSX 10.5, OSX 10.6 and Windows 7
MacOSX computers are connected through NFS and SMB
    Troubleshooting:
When we copy a file or a folder from a Windows, there's no problem  with permissions. We can read, write, edit and delete the files
When we are using a MAC OSX 10.5 or 1.06 and we copy or create a file or a folder, the file or folder is only available for the user who copied the file or folder. It happens with all kinds of files.
The first idea is there's a problem with permissions settings in the NSS, or maybe in our OSX computers.
    Any help will be welcome.
    Best regards,
    Joaquim Fonoll

    One more thing:
If the folder or is created on the desktop of the mac, then can be edited (just change de name). The files it contents, cannot be changed.
Again, any help will be very welcome...
    Best regards

  • Failed to load preferences error on upgrade of Anyconnect to 3.0.3054 on my MAC OSX LION 10.7.1

    Hi Folks,
Since the upgrade of Anyconnect to 3.0.3054 on my MAC OSX LION 10.7.1, i have been getting
failed to load preferences error. During the upgrade the vpn connection get established, but once
i disconnect and try to connect again its starts bombing on "failed to load preferences". For now
i keep uninstalling anyconnect and reinstall an older version which while autoupgrading to 3.0.3054
is able to connect for the first time. Its getting very painful. Any help from the support team will be
    appreciated!

I had the same issue and it is due to corrupted preferences.xml file under /opt/cisco/vpn/profile directory. Easy way to fix is uninstall the client and remove the profile directory under /opt/cisco/vpn. Removing the profile directory requires a root access on MAC OS X.

  • Cisco Connect does not run with Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

When I first installed Cisco Connect that came with my E1500 router, I was running Mac OSX Snow Leopard (10.7) and it worked fine.  I upgraded my OSX to Mountain Lion and now when I start Cisco Connect, I get:
    Unsupported operating system
The router software supports these operating systems:
    - Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
    - Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later
    - Mac OS X 10.7 or later
I saw some other thread/info/download on Cisco Connect with Lion (10.7) but nothing for Moutain Lion (10.8) - is there a fix forthcoming?
    Thanks

All i want to do is disable the guest function through cisco. i live in an apartment and everyone logs into my guest account. i was at my neighbours and they were laughing saying they done need to subscribe for the internet cause they just log onto local wi fi. and mine is one of them. i dont know if that'll slow down my internet with so many people using it. but all i want to do is just avoid it all together and get rid of it. but in this case i am having the same problem as all of you. to disable the guest function you need to go through cisco connect and it is not compatible with mac osx mountain lion. grrrrrrr

  • Cisco AnyConnect WEB/SSL VPN - does not launch after Apple's security update on Mac OS 10.7 and 10.6

    AnyConnect version: 2.5.2001
Mac OS versions: 10.7.2 and 10.6.8
We used to invoke Cisco AnyConnect VPN via the Safari browser for the SSL URL and it used to work fine on Mac OS 10.6 and 10.7. Apple released a security update on 8/Nov/2011 (see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5045) and after applying the update, invoking AnyConnect from the browser no longer invokes the AnyConnect application on the machine. The browser stops at this page repeatedly:
I have installed AnyConnect on my machine and am able to invoke it explicitly, but browser login just fails to do that. I have tried re-installing AnyConnect, but the problem still persists.
Any help would be highly appreciated as we are in a show-stopped situation because of this issue.
    Thanks
    Vivek.

This is an old issue, but I ran into it continually this month while trying to use AnyConnect on my Mac 10.8+ version.
    For me, the solution was:
I realized that I should have seen a pop-up warning me about the dangers of using Java etc. etc but it seemed as if my computer was blocking it automatically without giving me the option.
I went to the Java page (Java.com) and clicked on "Do I have Java?" The plug-in was inactive, so clicking it allowed me to check that my Java was up to date. Going back to my AnyConnect, this time, it seemed to go through and give me all the pop-ups allowing me to allow Java.

  • Convert Cisco WebEx .WRF and .ARF files for Mac OSX to .WMV

Since the Cisco WebEx Recording Editor doesn't appear to support Mac OSX, is there a way to convert Cisco WebEx recordings, .WRF and .ARF files, to .WMV or .SWF for a Mac OSX users?

    Hi Ben,
Here is a copy/paste from the Arcsoft site:
    What is a PHB file?
    Question
    What is a PHB file?
    Answer
PHB files are proprietary album files used by some of our programs, namely PhotoBase. Albums do not store your images. They serve as links to files stored on your computer or removable drive. If you delete the original file, the thumbnail in the album basically becomes a dead link. For example, if you have files on a floppy disk and create an album, you'll always need to have that floppy in the drive whenever you want to view the full images. Likewise, if you have a digital camera that is read as a removable drive, you would need to have it connected if you create the album directly from the camera. The best thing to do is copy all of your images into a folder on your computer, then create the album referencing those files. Albums are useful because they let you preview and organize files on your system in a convenient fashion. It is also from albums that slide shows are made with some of our programs.

  • Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client using discrete graphics on Mac

    Hello,
I use your Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to connect to my University's VPN. The programme is supplied to me by my University so I presume it licenses it for its students such as myself.
I am writing to let you know the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client uses the discrete graphics card on my MacBook Pro whenever it is running. I cannot quit the Client, that will end my VPN session, but at the same time using the discrete graphics card is a drain on the battery for no good reason; Cisco AnyConnect does not display any visuals that I am aware would require the use of an NVidia Kepler card with 1GB VRAM. The application's code perhaps needs to be rectified so it does not depend on the discrete graphics card when clearly (as the attachments show) it does not need a discrete graphics card to render its very simple interface.
    Cheers.

If your company has the Cisco IPSec protocol open you can use the Mac's built-in VPN settings.
However, if those ports are blocked by your local service (Starbucks or w/e) then you will have to use the AnyConnect VPN, which is done over SSL (https).

  • CTRANSPORT_ERROR_TIMEOUT with Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.05170

There seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
    Especially with certificate authentication.
    I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it...

  • Cannot go to the Internet from Mac OSX, and Fedora Core 5

All Windows users (XP, 2000, Vista Beta) can connect to the Internet no problem on WRT54G with Firmware v4.20.6 (may 26, 2005). But odd enough, though getting the right DHCP assigned IP addresses and DNS server address, MacBook Pro (OS 10.4.1) and Fedora Core 5 cannot go to the internet at all using Safari and firefox browsers: the message keeps saying that your computer is not connected to the internet. Tested with BOTH wired and wireless connections, no luck to the internet. So, it's not about the wireless settings and setup. It doesn't work even if I directly connect the CAT5 cable to the router port.
Tested at wireless hotspots, at work where we have Cisco access points, and at a friend's place where there is netgear wireless router, MacBookPro is just working fine connected to the internet.
Any suggestions? Linksys doesn't support Mac and Linux PCs at all?

Thank you very much All (devildance, and Frank).
Seems like it is working fine now...
I reset the router as factory default, and reconfig the wireless setting(disable broadcasting SSID, configure TKIP PSK, and MAC filtering). Directly connected CAT5 cable from the router to my MacBookPro Windows XP. Working fine. Switched to Mac OSX, working fine. But, when I disconnected the LAN, and attempted to connect wireless, I couldn't go to the Internet using Safari and Firefox: keeps saying that your computer is not connected to the Internet.
Still could ping to 4.2.2.2 and 207.232.22.25, but getting errors "could not resolve the host name" when I pinged with the hostname bearshare.com.
Connected the wired CAT5. Working fine. Unplugged and used the wireless, could not get to the internet.
Checked the NICs settings on both LAN ethernet and wireless airport. All seems the same and correct: IP address, subnetmask and gateway address, and NO DNS entry. The same settings, but works on LAN cat5, and not works with wireless. So, for the sake of it, just manually added the DNS server IP addresses and domain names on wireless NIC. And Wala...it is working fine with wireless. Still strange the fact that Ethernet LAN NIC still doesn't have any DNS entries and working fine, but required DNS entries on wireless NIC.
For Fedora Core, could ping and resolve names without changing any settings. But when going to the Internet, got the error saying "comcast doesn't support this platform/OS" and another error "Welcome to Comcast High speed Internet....registration currently unavailable" when attempting to go any websites. Notieced that we pinging cnn.com, bearshare.com, or any websites, got ping reply from the same IP address which appears to be one of the comcast DNS server IP, 68.87.64.132.
So, I think it is a comcast issue not supporting Linux or something else which I would need to call to Comcast about...
But, thanks...looks like I can go to the Internet on Mac OSX, and Fedora core now with Linksys WRT54G. Thanks so much guys for all the suggestions....

  • VPN issues after updating to Cisco AnyConnect 3.1.04072?

Even after downloading the most recent version of Cisco Client 3.1.04072 (see below) I'm still getting a periodic disconnect and reconnect from my VPN client.  Issue only seems to occur when I'm connecting from outside my company's wi-fi network.  Happens on both my personal and on public wi-fi.  Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Changes in AnyConnect 3.1.04072 (and 3.1.04074)
The Mac OS X versions of AnyConnect were updated to 3.1.04074 to resolve the problem of frequent disconnects of the AnyConnect VPN on systems running Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). Apple is aware of this issue and you can reference Apple Bug Report ID 15261749 if you want to open your own case with them. AnyConnect 3.1.0474 also supports Mac OS X 10.8, 10.7 and 10.6.
Once Apple provides a fix for OS X 10.9, we may choose to retract this workaround. At that time, both versions 3.1.04074 and 3.1.04072 of AnyConnect will work reliably with Mac OS X 10.9.
Defect CSCui69769 was fixed by version 3.1.0704.
AnyConnect 3.1.04072 is a maintenance release that resolves the defects described in Caveats Resolved by AnyConnect 3.1.04072 and is compatible with Host Scan Engine Update, 3.1.04075.

Pete is right, I apparently don't know how to read version numbers!  I downloaded the 3.1.05152 version of Cisco AnyConnect, and I no longer experience the reconnect issue on Mavericks.  Yea!
In my defense, there is no such version 3.1.04074 listed on the download page:

So I mistakenly downloaded 3.1.04072 in a moment of dyslexia.  I suspect I'm not the first person to come along and do this!
PS:  You need a service contract with Cisco to download this file.  If you don't have one, and/or your IT administrator isn't able to provide you with one, you might try doing a google search for the actual filename:  anyconnect-macosx-i386-3.1.05152-k9.dmg.  If you go this route, at least compare the md5 checksum with the one listed on Cisco's website (it shows up if you hover your cursor over the file) to ensure you're not running a hacked VPN client.  For example, running "md5 anyconnect-macosx-i386-3.1.05152-k9.dmg" should produce a884f2092d08f006b2dc3a5054988f1c.  If it does not, it's not the same binary as on Cisco's downloads page so you probably don't want to run it.

  • E2000 Parental control tab missing - Mac OSX Lion

I am trying to use the Parental Control feature. I can't use Cisco Connect as there currently isn't an update for this router for Mac OSX Lion
The firmware version in the support site hasn't been updated for ages, and I am running the latest (v 1.0.04)
The Parental control tab, that is supposed to appear in the web browser interface isn't there. It's supposed to be, but doesn't show up.
Any ideas why or what the work around might be?
    Thanks

If you want to use the Parental Control Feature then it will be in the name of Access Restriction instead of Parental Control…
Cisco Connect 1.4 comes with the latest Linksys routers.  It is compatible with Mac OS X Lion.  This has resolved compatibility issues encountered in the past.
Here is the link for the Cisco Connect Software Installation:
