Cisco connect cloud login issue

Hello,
I am trying to connect to my router from the internet and I get an error message saying that my router is not connected. I have checked everything that I know, it worked fine upto two days ago and I have not changed any settings.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

I am having a similar issue with my new EA2700 router. I have several wifi devices connected via wifi and dont seem to have a problem getting out to the internet or accessing my local area network but when i try to access the cisco connect cloud via internally or externally by typing the ip or ciscoconnectcloud.com in a browser window  I receive msg: "router offline" the only way i can resolve the issue is by power reset my router. Once i power reset the router i am then able to access my router both internally and externally thru my web browsers and/or android app. Please help!... this is very fustrating especially when i am not at home to reboot my router. I have never had this issue with my old Linksy WRT54G router and have been always been able to access and  reboot it remotely.  I currently have the lastest firmware....Thanks

  • EA4500 - How do I change the email account the router is associated with in Cisco Connect Cloud?

I have an EA4500 runnign the latest firmware that supports the Cisco Connerct Cloud and I need to change the email account the router is associated with. How do I do this? (Online Help does not explain.)

We plan to deploy over 350 of these routers across the country. In our situation, it would not make sense to associate all these routers with one email account or even, at the other extreme, a separate email account for each router. In addition, you have created a management nightmare for us if we pursue this option, because anytime we need to make a change to the email account associated with the router, we would need to re-configure it manually. We need to manage these routers separately and outside of the Cisco Connect Cloud option. I understand that I can downgrade the firmware to the prior release, but this is a temporary fix (eventually security vulnerabilities will be discovered that will force a firmware upgrade - in fact, you have already had one) and I would like to request an option to manage the router outside of the Cisco Connect Cloud email associations. Will this be possible in the near future? Otherwise, we will need to consider another vendor for this project.
Hopefully this should be possible in the future.
I believe that I can make it

  • Cisco Connect Cloud - Apps for Windows Phone.

Are you planning to make apps for windowsphone?

Hi! So far, what's indicated on cisco's site is that the mobile apps are only available for iOS and andoid only. But I came across this site: http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57460150-1/cisco-woos-developers-adds-802.11ac-support-as-connec... and quoting one sentence: "Cisco says this is just the beginning and that there will be hundreds of mobile apps that take advantage of the Cisco Connect Cloud platform, making home networking not just more convenient to use but also more fun and offering features that many people may not have imagined possible before."  With this statement, cisco might develop cisco connect cloud apps for windows phone.

@CiscoSystems How can reach your 'Cisco Connect Cloud' Team?

    Hello,
    Opera user here.
Yes, there is an option that makes it work in Opera. It is called "Custom user agent string". When it is changed to eg. UA of FF15, the ciscoconnectcloud site works fine without any problems. That is because it is very well written. The only thing stopping Opera users from using it is the browser sniffing. Removing it would not harm you at all and would help many Opera users.
Also, I'm planing to buy your EA router very soon. But I would really like to use my favourite browser to change the settings on ciscoconnectcloud site.

Moto X 2nd Gen latest Android OS
I am being asked to log into VZW cloud dozens of times a day. Anytime I unlock my phone or wake it up I am asked to log into VZW Cloud. My creditals are right yet it keeps happening over and over and over again  Very annoying

Your phone is likely trying to log in to run backup - and with an Android it makes more sense (to me) to use my Google account for that.
You can go to the Verizon Cloud and disable it, or set it to backup manually when you tell it to so it won't be tryingto run automatically, apparently unsuccessfully.
On the phone, open the Cloud app, go to settings, and see what it is set up to do, and make changes accordingly.  If you can't access it on your phone, then make the changes online at verizonwireless.com.

  • Mountain Lion 10.8.4-Cisco Connect-shutdowns kernel panic error-EA6500

    I have:
    - Mac Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.4
    - EA6500 with the latests updates (firmware..) all downloaded from Linksys web
When I install Cisco Connect to setup a USB printer, the software has some kind of conflict with OS X 10.8.4 and the system has unexpected & repentine shutdowns with a restart shutdown panic error report.
If I unistall Cisco Connect the problem doesn´t happen again
After checking all available guides and software, there is no way to solve the issue. I also chat with Linksys support and they have no idea how solve it.
It is for sure a problem of Cisco Connect software compatibility with OS X 10.8.4.
Please, some solution from Linksys or a workaround with Mac terminal commands?
DON´T INSTALL CISCO CONNECT SOFTWARE TILL ISSUE SOLVED!!

Cisco Connect would not work with a router using a Linksys Smart Wifi firmware. Also, VUSB is not going to work with MAC OS 10.8 yet. Hopefully Linksys would release an update that would support MAC 10.8 on VUSB.

  • Did you solve a Cisco Connect install to Windows 7 Home Premium bluescreen issue?

I've used a number of LinkSys devices in the past, and have been generally happy with them.  However, I recommended my brother-in-law try the E-series, and he purchased an E2500, with a 1.0.0 Cisco Connect version.
With the 1.0.0 CD and with the 1.3.x version from the website, he blue-screens around 10% every time.  Now we live some distance apart, so I don't want to be his regular tech support, but I don't want to leave him hanging either.
Before I start trying to troubleshoot the problem, have any of you seen a blue-screen issue like this, and then find the problem?  I suspect some software service or driver issue, but I need some probable causes before I dive into this over the phone.  He's not a wirehead, and I want to minimize our time spent/wasted on this if possible.  Any info I can get will be welcomed.
    RMichael

Yes, it blue-screens while installing the Cisco Connect software, at around 10% completion. Router was cabled in to both the DSL modem and the desktop, and the default configuration was permitting wired access to the internet. The router was at the default configuration when trying this. The install was attempted with both the CD and the latest version downloaded from the Cisco site as of yesterday. The login credentials were still default, and that should be the only reasonable reason the Cisco Connect software wouldn't access the device. Any other reason sounds like poor software coding. There is no other computer to use to run the Cisco Connect software.

  • E2100L Cisco Connect and Network Magic compatibility issues with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

When you will release the latest version for Wireless router Linksys E2100L?, because I bought a MAC with Lion and I can´t use my Router.
    Regards,
    Daniel

Older versions of Cisco Connect for Mac computers have compatibility issues with the latest release of Mac OS X (10.7 “Lion”). Only Cisco Connect versions 1.4.11222 and newer are compatible with the Lion operating system.
Here is the link to ensure that Cisco Connect can be installed on your Mac: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=a4e763be954243cfa0ab960c0fac7105_KB_23xxx_EN_v1.xm...
There is no such information about the release of Cisco Connect for E2100L for the Mac OS X (10.7 “Lion”) compatibility, so you need to wait for further release of the firmrware for E2100L.

  • Cisco Connect software issue

I am having problems trying to load the Cisco Connect application software from the CD.  I am able to connect to router, but the Cisco Connect software never loads to the hard drive.  Any suggestions?

I think the Cisco connect software is running successfully but it is not giving you the option to lauch the Cisco connect utility. If you get the ' congratulations ' page that means it is running successfully.
When you install the Cisco connect on your computer, it generally creates option on your computer to launch the utility.
On windows computer you will find Cisco connect under All programs. Click on Start and go to All Programs and see if you can find Cisco connect.
On MAC computer you will find Cisco connect under Applications. On your desktop, locate and double-click on the Macintosh HD icon. A window will then appear on your screen.  Select Applications from the left panel on this window.  This will display all contents under the Applications category. From the list of Applications, locate and double-click on the Cisco Connect icon.  This will launch Cisco Connect and take you to its main screen.
If you are still not finding Cisco connect software on your computer then I will suggest you install Cisco connect after installing settings up your router manually.
Uninstall Cisco connect from your computer if there is any. Follow this link to install Cisco connect after installing the router manually.

  • Cisco 5760 - Anchor config issue

    Hi,
I am having an issue where the 5760 Anchor WLC has 4 Subnets but half of the VLANS need to go to a seperate gateway and the other half to another gateway.
Below image is what the network looks like:
The router (Content Filtering) is the Gateway for 4 x SSID’s/VLANs
The Firewall is the Gateway for the Management VLAN
The issue here is that we have 2 separate Gateways and there is no way to define separate gateways for each VLAN on the 5760 WLC
We have an default IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.1.1.254 which is pointing to the Firewall. The firewall is not the gateway for the other 4 x SSID/VLANs that exist on the Anchor so we do not want all traffic going to the Firewall, only management traffic.
Is there a way to set different gateways for different subnets/VLANs on the 5760 WLC? Keeping in mind that there is an default route pointing to the Firewall.
Also does the 5760 WLC acts as a Layer 3 device?
    Thanks

  • Cisco connect

When I try to load Cisco connect i get a message "cannot access your router".  My smartphone recognizes the router

There are three (3) reasons why you are getting this error message:
~~ You are trying to access your router’s wireless settings using a wireless computer connected to a different network.
~~ Your router’s wireless settings may have been changed in the web-based setup page instead of in Cisco Connect.

  • Windows 8.1 and Cisco Connect Incompatable

I've upgrades a couple of PC's to Windows 8.1.  Upon discovering the printer attached to my E4200 v1 by its USB port was not showing after the upgrade, I re-ran Cisco Connect to re-install the printer.
----At this point I'd like to say up front that the E4200 is running the latest firmware, and I am using the latest Cisco Connect available - albeit 2 years old.-----
Cisco Connect gets as far as the USB Printer connect button before displaying an error page telling me "our customer support can help" and giving a link to a support page that doesn't work.  Typical Cisco I fear.......
Digging deeper, the Windows Device Manager is showing the system device SXUPTP driver has been blocked from loading, quote:
"The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
Clicking on "Check for solutions" doesn't find one (typical Microsoft), and letting Windows search for a newer driver doesn't find anything either.
Both PC's, a laptop and a desktop, are the behaving the same - so not a PC issue.  Both worked with Windows 8.0.
So what's the story Cisco?  We need a Connect update, or at least a fixed driver - when will we see this?
    Thnx.

Ok - no thanks to Cisco, I seemed to have found an answer.  This is unofficial, do at your own risk.  Creating a system restore point first would be sensible.
The clue is the Cisco SXUPTP driver is copyright to Silex.  The E4200 must have a Silex chip on board to talk to the USB port, and the SXUPTP driver on the PC is what talks to the chip.  I visited the Europe Silex site (the US site is harder to get through - it wants you to know which Silex chip you've got as a starting point) at:
    http://www.silexeurope.com/en/home/support/productgroups/common-downloads/
I downloaded SX-Virtual Link 3.12.0 dated 29.05.2013 (05/29/2013 in US speak).  This downloaded a zip file called s-33a3120a.zip. I unzipped the contents and ran Cosetup.exe to install.  After a restart I now have a functioning SXUPTP driver 3.7.1.0.  (Forget what the original Cisco one was - 3.5.0.0?)
Ran Cisco Connect again, and all proceeded as normal.  Printer re-installed.
The Silex setup program also installs a piece of software called SX Virtual Link, which seems to offer some low level control over the link to the E4200 USB port.  I haven't had a play with this.
So why did I have to hack my way through this?  Why didn't Cisco post Windows 8 updates BEFORE it was released, let alone 8.1?  NOT impressed.
