Cisco DX650 not taking vlan from HP Pro Curve Switch

Hello
I am configuring Cisco DX650 on HP Procurve Switch but it is not getting IP address or anything.
If i connect Laptop to same port it gets IP address and internet access.
For now i have connected this phone through WIFI and anyconnect but we do not want WIFI.
Do i need to do any additional configuration on HP switch for Cisco DX650 ...

To verify if this feature is supported on a specific HP product, please check that the product features or data sheet specifically mentions LLDP-MED (Media Endpoint Discovery) and/or ANSI/TIA-1057. This is because LLDP-MED is an extension to LLDP and not part of the base IEEE 802.1AB specification.

The key cli command required to enable LLDP-MED is to assign the 'voice' attribute for a given VLAN, for example:
(config) # vlan <VID> voice
The voice vlan needs to be either statically configured on a port or dynamically provisioned using 802.1X or MAC authentication.

Multiprovider not taking info from master data table?

Hi all,
i've a problem with a multiprovider and some navigational attributes of zmaterial.
There are several infocubes in the multiprovider and they all have zmaterial, the problem is that the data from one of these cubes is taking the values of some navigational attribute from the cube itself, not from the master data table of zmaterial even if i changed the assignment from the multiprovider.
Is there any option i must check/look to get this thing work?
If you need any other info just let me know.

It seems the identificaiton are still incorrect.
Just try to put the identification for those characteristics from the navigational attribute option in the multiprovider and not from the infoobject present in the cube.
So for ZMaterial_A it should be identified with ZMaterial_A in the multicube from the respective cubes.

Lightroom not recognizing ratings from IView Pro

I use iView Pro as part of my workflow, adding metadata and ratings. I then synchronize to the original files. I am using DNG files for this, since RAW files could become corrupted if the metadata is embedded in them.
I have used this process with Photoshop CS2 and Bridge, and Bridge recognizes the keywords, other metadata, and ratings.
Lightroom is recognizing the other metadata, but not the ratings. Lightroom help says, if there is a discrepancy between the Lightroom library and the original file, there will be an alert icon that should be double clicked and the file can be updated.
I have no alert icons- Lightroom seems to simply be ignoring the rating, even though Bridge sees it.
I'm using Windows XP.

Thanks for the useful responses. I followed the John (johnbeardy)recommendation above, Metadata/XMP/Import and it did not work. I then upgraded iView from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 and it worked! Go figure. I'm just learning Lightview and I didn't even know about the Metadata import, which I didn't find in Lightroom help.
On the RAW metadata subject, I was burned when a whole set of RAW files was irretrievably corrupted with metadata synchronization, going back and forth between Nikon Capture, iView, and Photoshop CS(I had originals backed up so survived.)
Although one can argue about the logic of the industry having proprietary, non-documented RAW formats, in my opinion it's very dangerous to imbed metadata directly into RAW files, because a simple change in the format from the manufacturer may result in corruption. I think Adobe is right to keep away from directly writing to RAW files, using XMP sidecar instead.
However, for me using DNG's is far preferable, since metadata can be imbedded without danger, and all the programs I use work well with DNG's.

Logic not taking signal from mic

i'm using a rode nt-1a through a firebox, and logic isn't responding. the preference for both system and for logic show the firebox as the audio input source. any ideas?

Is there anyway to verify that signal is getting to the Firebox from your mica such as an LED VU/db meter and is the preamp level set appropriately on the firebox? No signal here means no signal into Logic.
Can you hear any playback from Logic and the Firebox? Are there any other working inputs on the firebox such as SPDIF or Line Level 1/4 input? If so, it may be a bad input channel

If the Firebox is setup as the default audio device for your MAC, deselect in the OSX System Preferences. The system may be taking priority of this device even though Logic recognizes it. This is usually not a problem on most systems however because most of professional audio devices are full duplex and can be accessed by multiple program at once.
When you create a track to record this microphone signal, are you not seeing or hearing anything with the input monitoring button engaged? Sometime you have to engage the record button first, to engage the the track. It's a strange bug that occurs on my system.

Have you verified the settings in the terminal emulation (Hyperterm) ?
This is either a wiring issue (hardware) or wrong handshaking (software).
Use 9600,8,N,1 and no flow-control. This is my current setup with TeraTerm.

Apache not taking jre from JAVA_HOME

I hav a wierd problem recently we moved from jre1.3 to jre 1.4
we configed all the JAVA_HOME and PATH parameters correctly.
we prepared a .bat file that looks like this:
java -Djava.endorsed.dirs="..\common\endorsed" -classpath "\bootstrap.jar" -Dcatalina.base=".." -Dcatalina.home=".." -Djava.io.tmpdir="..\temp" org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap start
and put it in the server bin directory.
with this parameters the server started with jre 1.4
if we start the server from windows services with a Path to excute
D:\%TOMCAT_HOME%\bin\tomcat.exe
the server looks for the 1.3 jre installation that was there before. he fails to locate the directory and he's startup fails.
all the paramters (like JAVA_HOME) are pointing to the jre1.4 installation.
we thought the service will start with jre1.4
could any one explain why this happens and what are the steps to fix this?

When you install Tomcat as a Service, it sets up some registry entries to keep track of things like classpath. This occurs on first installed and not when the classpath is changed.
One such entry is the JVM parameter under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apache Software Foundation\Procrun 2.0\Tomcat5\Parameters\Java(on my winXP machine at least).
There may be other entries that are pertinent. Your best bet may be to re-install Tomcat to the same location so it updates the registries for you...

Data extraction is not taking place from BW to R/3

Hi Experts,
We recently upgraded our BW 3.1 system to NW2004s/BI (BW 700). Now we are
not able to extract data from R/3 4.6C source system.
We checked and data extraction job is not getting triggered in R/3. It is
not receving Idoc.All the settings are correct in WE20 and WE21. I will appreciate your quick help.I am not sure if the question has been posted in correct forum or not as I am a newbee in SDN forum. If its not there in the correct forum,please let me know.

Thanks for your quick reply. and also I have made the mistakein the post subject . It is from R/3 to BW. But I checked all the ALE setings and RFC connection. Everyhthing is alright.but dont know why its not getting extracted. I think some problem might be lying with the function module. If you have any other idea apart from RFC/Delta please let me know. I am damn sure this isnot an issue with ALE config.
Just to make this issue little bit clear, the exact issue now I am facing is related to Idocs. Idocs are going to the state 56 in R/3 and all the control records are blank in R/3. This has created a nightmare. All the efforts are going in vain...

Ical invites not being sent from MacBook Pro but are being sent from iphone

Hoping someone can please help me! I am suddenly unable to send iCal invites from my laptop. They look like they send, but nobody receives them and also the events don't show on my iPhone and iPad2. If I add the event on my iPhone, I do see it on my laptop. I recently did a system update and I wonder if that is the cause. Any help you can give me would be so appreciated. Thanks.

I am having this problem as well. Specifically, when I create a new calendar meeting I am able to add users to the invitation and when I save the invite it gets sent. I have also modified an existing calendar event that has other people invited, and when I exit editing the meeting a pop up window specifically asks if I want to save my changes "and send it to the other invited participants" or something like that.
I click yes.
In both cases (the original creation and invitation, and the modification and send update to attendees) nothing is received by the other recipients. Not a calendar event or invitation, not an email with a .ics attachment or similar, or not even an email notification.
Thus, I set up an event in my calendar, invite others, and no one is aware that the event was set up.
Is there any way around this? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong as the process of creating an event, inviting someone, and sending out the invitation seems pretty straight forward. It just isn't working.

IPad will not sync photos from MacBook Pro master

Thanks Eric. Yes, when the iPad is connected, I have checked the appropriate boxes in the iTunes Photos Tab for the device to try to sync some or all albums, events, etc. from iPhoto and have tried checking the boxes for various subfolders to try to sync from the "Pictures" folder.
I am able to see all of the folder iPhoto and Pictures folder options from iTunes. When I click on the various folders, the capacity bar will increase and decrease depending on what I select or deselect.

Could be any number of things...
1) If the calendars are in the "On my Mac" section, then they don't sync to icloud.
2) You don't have Calendars turned ON in Settings>icloud and System preferences>icloud.
3) One device is not connecting to the internet.

Can't Duplex print from Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 to Epson Artisan 800

I can not duplex Print from Acrobat Pro 9.3.2 to an Epson Artisan 800.
I an running it from a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.3
I called Epson support and they could not help me.
However they suggested that I try using Adobe Reader.
Well that works OK if I choose to print the document as an image, but I would prefer to just be able to work within Acrobat Pro.
Does anyone outthere have any settings within Acrobat Pro that would enable duplex printing?

WLC is ARPing but will not receive answer from vlan-switch

Hi - this is my first posting in theese forums - hope I get it right
Setup: a procurve-vlan-switch (2915) is connected directly to a cisco-wlc (2504) on two ports.
     Port 1 on the wlc has the management- and apmanager-interface, untagged, connected to untagged port on procurveswitch.
     Port 2 on the wlc has a dynamic interface (vlan 100) connected to tagged (vlan100) port on the switch.
Port 1 I can ping, and everything works as it should, LAP connects and so on.
Port 2 I can't ping, and it will not let clients get an ip-address i the vlan100 segment.
     Wireshark tells me, that wlc sends arp-requests to the vlan-gateway on the procurve switch, and also that the switch replies in the same vlan (with tagged packets). But the WLC will not pick theese answers up and keeps ARPing for the gateway. Result is = no dhcp-answer to the clients.
Workaround: If I first ping from the wlc to the gateway, everything works for 5 minutes, i.e. I can ping the dynamic interface on the wlc and clients get ip-addresses, but when the arp-cache times out, everything goes black again.
BIG question: Can anyone help me with this? Why will the wlc not pick the arp-answer from the switch? The wlc asks with tagged packets and get tagged replies imediatly but will not listen

Is there a reason you are using two separate ports on the WLC?
Generally you would just create a Trunk port to the WLC and all traffic would pass over it.
The fact it works for 5 minutes makes me wonder if the WLC is somehow using the same MAC for both ports. What MAC addresses does the MAC address table on the HP switch show for both ports?

Assign VLAN from freeradius to Cisco 3550 Switch

I am trying to assign VLAN from freeradius to the a cisco 3550 switch but it's not working.
I keep getting those lines in the cisco switch debug:
