Cisco DX650 - SX20 compatibility

Hello,
I am testing a DX650 device registered on CUCM 7.1.5 and I have found a problem when this device calls to a SX20 videoconference device.
When I place a call from SX20 to DX650 it works fine but when I call from DX650 to SX20 I only get audio.
If I do the same test with all TANDBERG Edge95, always works fine.
Edge95 and SX20 are registered in the same VCS Control and this problem happen doing the call by H323 or by SIP.
Someone have had the same problem?

The CUCM cluster is connected to VCS by SIP trunk.
I am using TMS 13.2
SX20 is not register en CUCM only is registered in VCS Control cluster as H.323 and SIP endpoint.
The codec negotiated in both cases is H.264
I observed that the call that is established without problems is established in encrypted mode even though the SX20 have encrytion set to off.

Cisco DX650 CUCM registration over VPN

i've installed a CUCM 9.1.2 cluster with Cisco 8945s, Cisco 9971s all running SIP Protocol. We have introduced the Cisco DX650 into the voice network, and all features are working normal on the Local LAN. We are now testing the DX650 for a remote worker. the Problem i'm seeing is that the DX650 will VPN into the network, email, Jabber, Calendar, Internet all work fine and is on the network via VPN. the one issue is that the DX650 will not register with Call Manager. we have allowed all the necessary ports through the firewall. i've tested with Cisco IP Communicator and it registers fine for the remote worker, but the DX650 will not register.
What can I do to troubleshoot this or see where it's getting hung up at? I want to see logs which shows the DX650 making an attempt or not.
Any ideas??

I am setting up my first Dx650 across the VPN and I am having the same problem. I used the exact same Anyconnect path and account I use for my iPhone Jabber instance but the DX will not register. If I move it into the PtoP VPN network, it registers just fine. But when on an open internet with Anyconnect, the phone won't register.
What do I look at?

Cisco DX650 not taking vlan from HP Pro Curve Switch

Hello
I am configuring Cisco DX650 on HP Procurve Switch but it is not getting IP address or anything.
If i connect Laptop to same port it gets IP address and internet access.
For now i have connected this phone through WIFI and anyconnect but we do not want WIFI.
Do i need to do any additional configuration on HP switch for Cisco DX650 ...

To verify if this feature is supported on a specific HP product, please check that the product features or data sheet specifically mentions LLDP-MED (Media Endpoint Discovery) and/or ANSI/TIA-1057. This is because LLDP-MED is an extension to LLDP and not part of the base IEEE 802.1AB specification.

The key cli command required to enable LLDP-MED is to assign the 'voice' attribute for a given VLAN, for example:
(config) # vlan <VID> voice
The voice vlan needs to be either statically configured on a port or dynamically provisioned using 802.1X or MAC authentication.

How to connect Wireless microphone to Cisco Telepresence SX20

Does anyone try to connect Wireless microphone to the second microphone input (Cisco Table Mic 20 microphone is connected to the first microphone input)? Is this connection OK if I want to use both 2 micphone types?

I have connected single- and dual-channel Revolabs microphones the C20, with very good success. I have also connected a single-channel Revolabs and a second connection to ClearOne Converge Pro DSP, also with very good success. I have not tried to connect a TelePresence 20 Microphone on one input and a single-channel Revolabs on the other. My customers either require a totally wireless solution or a wireless and an installed microphone solution. We are just starting to order the SX20, so I will be testing wired and wireless combinations to validate their compatibility.
The Revolabs receiver has a 3.5mm TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve), while the C20/SX20 has a 3.5mm TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve). Revolabs makes a cable that resolves the differences between them but it does not transmit the muting function on the Revolabs microphone to the codec. Muting takes place by using the remote or the Cisco touch panel.

Cisco ISE NAD compatibility

Hello all,
Are the Small Business 500 series Switches (ESW520) and Linksys Switches supported by the Cisco Identity Services Engine 1.2.. I didn't see them in the compatibility Matrix ! Is there any way to make them working for ISE wired CWA?

It's unfortunate to know that ESW500 series doesn't support CWA (because we are deploying ISE and there are many ESW and Linksys Switches here),So Can they support LWA or 802.1X with ISE?
The same questions for Linksys Switches, Can they support CWA, LWA or 802.1X Authentications using ISE?

Cisco MDS 9148 compatibility with Finisar FTLF-8524-P2BNV SFP+

I have a Cisco MDS 9148 switch with Finisar FTLF-8524-P2BNV SFP+ modules. I am told by the guys configuring the equipment that these modules are not identified in the switch interface.
I am curious if there could be a compatibility problem (I have not found a compatibility list) or any other issue which could cause the behaviour.

Any ways to receive calls only from address book on Cisco Telepresence SX20?

I have been receiving numerous unknown calls on my conference call device and I would like to know if there are any ways to block these calls or even possibly only receive calls on the address book.

When it says "Status: Fixed" and Known Fixed Releases: is a version older than the one we use, does that mean that the problem should be resolved from that firmware version forward? Also wondering if "Fixed" means that we still need to do the workaround to fix the problem on ALL versions of firmware, or just the ones prior to 6.2.0 ? Thanks.

Cisco Prime Infrastructure Compatibility

I have been informed by our supplier that i cannot add-
Nexus switches
Routers
Into the switches list in Cisco Prime Infrastructure Version 2.0
However we seem to have one Fabric SVI 'Managed and Sychronized'
So i dont know whether i should or should not be able to add 7ks
and 5ks to the switch list
Anyone any ideas on this -- the official line seems to be no... if thats true then how did we
get the one 7l on and managed

You mention a fabric SVI. Note that the FabricPath and other data center-specific technology features are for the most part not managed by PI. Prime DCNM is the tool for that.
You can use PI to manange 7ks and 5k's as standard switches - backup their configs, poll them with SNMP queries, collect syslog messages etc.

Cisco AIR-ANT2506 Compatibility

Hi,
I need an omni antenna with the specifications of AIR-ANT2506 for a Lighweight AP 1242 for outdoor installation. The AP is compatible with the antenna, but the description of the antenna says that it is a 2.4 GHz Bridge Antenna. Does this mean that it is not suitable or even unusable for ordinary Lighweight implementation, but only for Bridge installations. I should cover an area around the entrance of a store...

I am trying to get internet into a number of properties on an estate. I am not sure of the best solution as we are also quite remote / rural, hence why we have a satellite internet set up and not using internet through a telephone exchange as we are too far away from it.
I am looking for the cheapest solution, and am happy to have the properties hard wired laying ethernet cable to each property, but if I can achieve internet in each property with wireless then that is probably a better solution.
I have attached a birds eye view diagram of the properties, showing where the current satellite modem is located, and where the antenna is mounted (It is about 1 metre above the roof line, but on each property the roofing is corrugated iron)
I have line of site with the antenna to at least 3 of the properties (Crag house, Sams, The Bothy and probably The Barn & maybe just about Oak)
I therefore need internet access internally in these properties. I do, as a separate project and if possible, a property 1.2miles across a loch that we have line of site with that if possible we would like internet to be broadcast across there, but the first port is to get the properties on the estate hooked up with wireless.
If you have any suggestions of what Access Points would work, they do not have to be whizzbang because we only have broadband speed currently of 512k, upscalable to 3MB.
I also do not understand how being able to run 50-100ft coax cable from the antenna to the AP works, when I was told that for every 10ft of cable, you lose about 2dBi from the antenna, is this true??
I have just attached a photo of 2 antennas on the corner of the white building (1 is the AIR-ANT2506, the other taller one is an itellite 12dBi antenna which I haven't yet tried)
You can see the white building to the left that needs to be wireless, the building in the middle of the picture, and the 2 just to the right of this building. There is a further one behind the grass you see in the middle of the picture, and a final property that isn't in the picture, but if you look at the excel spreadsheet you should be able to work out the buildings)

Mountain Lion 10.8.4-Cisco Connect-shutdowns kernel panic error-EA6500

I have:
- Mac Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.4
- EA6500 with the latests updates (firmware..) all downloaded from Linksys web
When I install Cisco Connect to setup a USB printer, the software has some kind of conflict with OS X 10.8.4 and the system has unexpected & repentine shutdowns with a restart shutdown panic error report.
If I unistall Cisco Connect the problem doesn´t happen again
After checking all available guides and software, there is no way to solve the issue. I also chat with Linksys support and they have no idea how solve it.
It is for sure a problem of Cisco Connect software compatibility with OS X 10.8.4.
Please, some solution from Linksys or a workaround with Mac terminal commands?

Cisco Connect would not work with a router using a Linksys Smart Wifi firmware. Also, VUSB is not going to work with MAC OS 10.8 yet. Hopefully Linksys would release an update that would support MAC 10.8 on VUSB.

Cannot add WLC 5508 7.2.111.3 to Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0

Though the Cisco Prime Infrastructure Compatibility Matrix list out that 7.2.111.3 is supported for PI 2.0
I am not able to add the controller to the PI 2.0.
The Reachability Status always shown "Unknow" and SNMP Status always shown "No response for SNMP Get".
There is no firewall between the WLC and PI.
And ping test shows it is reachable.
If I try to add controller by non-management port (I know it is not work but I want to try the reachability), the Reachability Status shown "Reachable" but the SNMP Status always shown error.
And if I use some SNMP testing software to test the SNMP port. SNMP can be quoted.
I have try to lower down the "Maximum VarBinds per Get PDU" but no luck.
Any thing I can do to troubleshoot the problem?

Another update:
I add another WLC with version 7.0.98.0. It is fine.
And I setup another new PI 2.0 and new temporary WLC5508 with 7.2.111.3 to test. It work fine also......
So, I am wondering the existing 7.2 WLC have problem in responsing the SNMP Get. But I dont have any idea to test....
Do anyone have idea to test the snmp connection between PI and WLC?

CU MeetingPlace Express 2.1.1.2 Compatibility with CUCM 7.1+

Afternoon all,
According to Cisco's compatibilty matrix, Cisco Unified Meeting Place Express version 2.1.1.2 is only compatbile up to CUCM 7.0.
I understand that CUMPE 2.1.1.2 is coming to end of sale life. However, if it currently works with CUCM 7.0, then surely it will work with later releases of CUCM up to 7.1(3)?
I appreciate Cisco might not support it if there is a problem, but was hoping someone else was running MPE 2.1.1.2 with CUCM 7.1(3b)

Receiving Automatic calls from "CISCO" name continuously

We have installed one Cisco SX20 VC in our office last week only. Since then we are receiving auto call with name Cisco with no ip address.
Everyday approx. 250 calls we are getting on VC.
VC Network Configuration: Configured with Public static IP address, we don't have firewall in network and using as a standalone VC.

Can someone please help me to fixed this issue ASAP.

This has been covered quite a few times already, take a look at this thread; https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12340591/nuisance-h323-calls-sx20 and https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12336591/sourceh323idcisco-incomingcalls and https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12472426/rogue-calls-expressway-e-can-they-be-blockeddropped for starters.
Not much you can do about it unless you put your system on a private address behind a gatekeeper etc.
You can at least avoid the SIP version of these scans by at least turning off SIP listening port, or turning SIP off all together unless you really need it. But no such luck when it comes to these h.323 scans.

CISCO DX 650-UNABLE TO GET PLAY STORE--- !!!

Hi Team,
We have multiple Cisco DX650 at our client location.
I have Checked the Parameter in CUCM device page that says allow application from android market.
Even allow application from unknown source is enabled
Tried resetting,rebooting etc no go
Play store icon is visible on few phones but not on all. Is it any kind of a bug? which is causing it? or shall we need to upgrade.
We are on CUCM 9.1.2
Please help this is really an urgent matter as alL this phones are used by VIP users.

Hi Ajith,
An out of the box phone will have PlayStore available to user. But, once a config file is downloaded, then PlayStore is immediately disabled by BundledAppInstaller, then config file is read to determine whether admin wants PlayStore to be enabled or not, and thus determine the availability of PlayStore to user.
I did not find any specific bug for this behavior, you can try upgrading to latest load on a DX650 facing the issue and check if the issue goes away.
