CISCO FIRESIGHT MGT CENTER F/10DEV DOWNLOAD
Hi, I purchased this virtual appliance (CISCO FIRESIGHT MGT CENTER F/10DEV) with SmartNet to support two new Cisco ASA firewalls that I purchased on the same order.
I received an email from Cisco with the license number. I cannot find any instructions to download the VM which is listed as a VMWARE appliance.
Any ideas?
You can download the VM here.
Choose the Virtual Appliance under the 5.3.1 (current minor release as of this posting) heading - see screenshot below. If your cisco.com userid does not allow you to downlaod the image, please call the TAC and ask them to associate your ID with the product (you will need your sales order or support contract number).

Thank youSo here's the answer. With the purchase of FS-VMW-2-SW-K9 you also have to buy a SmartNet contract. Once you successfully have that info, you associate the contract to your profile and are then entitled to download the virtual appliance software. Once you have deployed the OVF file, you then get access to the 'licence key' or in this case MAC address that allows you to go ahead and fulfill the PAK to get the relevant licenses. Lots of hoops but I did it.

Most use cases would still want to have an FMC though for always-on monitoring and archiving the data for retrospective analysis.
You do have the option of the small licenses that allow you to manage either 2 or 10 ASA module-based sensors. (FS-VMW-2-SW-K9 or FS-VMW-10-SW-K9)
For legacy Sourcefire 3D sensors (VMs or appliances) you need the full FMC/DC option. -

1:Is there change in DB architecture as CUIC is the only option as compared to previous linux version UCCX ?
I assume this is from the tables regarding historical data. The database schema essentially remains the same since UCCX 9.0 had CUIC too and we had a seperate DB Space for CUIC and we still continue with that. The traditional historical tables remain and the replication process remains the same too.
2:Is there any version change for Linux OS used as VOS,
The Linux version is Red Hat Linux 5. To be precise:

3:Is there any API architecture change in UCCX 10 from previous releases ?
I can answer this more of an overview. The only enhancement in the API side is the introduction of REST API step in the script editor. You can now make REST calls from the script and this ofcourse opens up a whole new world of possiblities.
4:Since from UCCX 10 , we can only use either CAD or Finnesse at one time, whats the impact of changing this after some time in production, let say , i used CAD for 2 months and then i decided to move to Finesse, whats the impact ? or is it a smooth change as switching CUIC and HRC in previoius release ?
For the scenario you mentioned, there is absolutely no problem. The point to note is that the Finesse services are activated/deactivated but the CAD desktop services are ALWAYS running. The only condition to keep in mind is that you can use ONLY ONE type of agent desktop at any time. Also if Finesse is not used and CAD operations are used extensively, it is advisable to shutdown the Finesse service.
5:Is 3rd Party UCS hardware supported by UCCX 10 instead of using Cisco manufactured UCS , can i use HP hardware for Virtualisation ?
Yes, it can be used. This is something called as "Third party specs based specification". The most important things seen for compatibility are:

As you would aready know, the UCCX will send an AXL request (within the SOAP envelope) to the CUCM to create this RP. Looking at the existing code, there does not seem to be a method where we are differentiating between CFB_internal and CFB_external while sending this request.
We have taken this as an enhancement request and also spoken to the business unit about the same. It has been added to the roadmap, we will reach out to you offline to understand the business case so that the process can be expedited if needed.

Incase you are planning to obtain real time stats from the CRA_DB which is the UCCX db, this can be done via the use of a wallboard.
-This displays the data such as
available agents in CSQs, call volumes, talk times, wait times, and number of handled calls. You can enable the Unified CCX system to write Unified CCX real-time information to a database that can then be displayed on a wallboard.

Regarding chat - Agents can communicate only with team members , supervisors and SME (if presence is enabled). The closest what you can have for the template is "

UCCX Standard Edition is quite a limited package, you won't be able to use features like CAD or Silent Monitoring/Recording. You can use Supervisor Desktop, but again, the features are limited, for a full view of features that you can use with Standard Edition, please check the document below:

Cisco ASA 5505 performance issues on downloads - data into the ASA from the Internet
I have having serious issues with performance on my ASA 5505s that I am testing with 9.2.3 code.
I stripped the config and removed as much stuff as I could - no VPN etc. and I am ONLY getting about 30-40Mbps downloads from sites but 95Mbps uploads???? Anyone else seeing these problems? If I remove the firewall my PC can hit 300/300Mbps to the same sites using the same switch and cable.
I installed 1Gb of mem on the ASA 5505 but it made no difference. The ASA has a UL IP Security license but I am only using and inside and outside address for these tests, no other ports configured.
Is anyone else seeing this performance problem with the 9.2.3 code? I went to this from 8.2.5 to try to resolve QOS failure bugs that I found in the 8.2.5 code. I did not expect to have a performance hit though and it is only on downloads TO the ASA from the Internet from all speed test sites that I try. Uploading speeds seem fine. No access-lists on my interfaces either...barebones config.
My FIOS and switch interfaces are fine...no errors on any interfaces and the same switch interface hits 300/300Mbps when my laptop is directly attached.
Anyone have a barebones config on their ASA 5505 that flies...I will try it on mine and see if some command somewhere (hidden) is causing the issue. I even cleared the config and started with a clean slate just in case I was missing some command from the older configs that may have impacted performance.After changing the switch with a high end switch my performance increased but I am still not happy with the throughput out of my ASA. I have about 50+ ASAs 5505s and a dozen 5510s. Most remote sites have 5505s. All my sites right now have 8.2.5-51 and I wanted to put 9.2.3 out there to solve issues I have uncovered on the 8.2.5 code with regards to QOS issues.
I get much better results using the Cisco 3750X attached to the FIOS (right around 300/300 with my laptop directly attached to the 3750x bypassing the ASA - my FIOS circuit rating is also 300/300). Going through the ASA to the same test site I get download speeds of 35 to 75. Changes randomly which really bothers me. My uploads speeds are ALWAYS faster then my download speeds. Example - best download I would ever get is 75Mb and my upload would usually hit 95Mb during the same test period.
I may have to live with it but the inconsistency is what really bothers me.
Here is the config I am currently using. Nothing going on during testing since only a single PC is attached. VPN tunnel to the main site can be up or down...doesn't seem to make any difference. PC does to site directly from outside interface of ASA...split tunneling. Even when I removed tunnels and tested with just the ASA as a firewall to the Internet I was still seeing the same inconsistencies.
Anything obviously missing - new command or anything? Xlates causing issues? -

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
