Cisco ISE sponsor Portal email notification of guest account

Is there anyway to not have the email button be displayed in the sponsor portal? We don't have email or SMS enabled and sponsor users are complaining that the button is there but doesn't work, it woul be really good if you could just remove it. I have looked at the sponsor language template configuration but it doesn't appear to be able to not display the button just rename it?
any information would be much appreciated.

thank you very much for the information, I don't think I would ever have checked there for this configuration. It is taking me awhile to get used to the ISE GUI, I don't find it particularly intuitive but hopefully I will get there.

ISE 1.1 sponsor portal different type of guest accounts

I just played around with the ISE 1.1.2.145 sponsor portal. I have the following 3 requirements, but I don't see a way the get there with the actuals sponsor portal features:
1. I would like to create a event user (one single user for multiple logins) with a given username and a given password
2. I would like to create a single user with a given username and a given password
3. How can I change the password of such a user
At the moment I am a little disappointed from the sponsor portal, there are not that features or I can't see the way to get there ;-)
Can anybody confirm the above problems?

It is possible to use internal users as well as AD users for admin.
I'm not actually sure whetehr it's possible to stop using Internal Users.
I have it working using both, primarily as I don't have AD credentials on customer site, so they use AD credentials and I stick to using Internal Admin User.
I still haven't understood your original question entirely, but if you select the guest username to be created based on email address (rather than first name/last name), then you can create a single username using a fictional email address, and allow the user to change the password on first login. You can then change the password to whatever you want.
Does that fit?

Rather than just add text I will like to add some graphics, I tried adding HTML to the Layout which doesn't work. When my Sponsor needs to printout a day account for example rather than basic textformat, I would like to add graphics to give to the customer. Can this be achieved another way?

The defect CSCty82696 is filed in ISE 1.1.x version for this similar issue and this is fixed with the following template.

As per the defect notes it says HTML tags are now treated as literals for security reasons. We don't want to allow malicious scripts to be sent in email notifications so embedding HTML text now will show up as literal text rather than HTML tags.

ISE sponsor portal guest accounts

I am having an issue with guest accounts that have been created in the sponsor portal, some accounts work fine but others show up in the authentication logs on ISE as error 22056. This error points to ISE not looking in the right identity store but when you go deeper into the details all auth requests are pointing at the internal users store which is correct.
My main problem is that when I try to look at these accounts from the ISE admin console to see if there is any difference between them they do not show up i.e. no accounts that are created on the sponsor portal are displayed in the internal users database but if you try to create an account with the same user name ISE says that there is already an account with that name.
Is there any where on ISE to display the sponsor guest accounts?

not too sure if I am missing something but this just tells you how to use the sponsor portal? my query was based around being able to see all user accounts i.e. accounts created in the sponsor portal and from the admin from the admin console in the admin console.
If I web browse to the ISE admin console and the go to administration-Identities I can only see the accounts that I have created through ISE admin, if I try and create an account that I know exists on the sponsor portal ISe complains that the user already exists but you cannot view it. This seems very odd, why wouldn't an admin be able to see all accounts?

Sponsor portal allows a person ( can be anyone assigned by Admin ) to manage Guest account.

How do I skip the Device Registration Portal for Cisco ISE web portal

I have set up a sponsor and guest portal system for wireless guest access to the internet using ISE v1.2.0.899 virtual and WLC 5500 runninng 7.4. After logging into the intial page, the guest user is directed to the Device Registration Portal. Entering a MAC address value puts the user in a continuous failing loop. But, if they just hit the "continue" button at the bottom of the page, they will be directed onward and have internet access as was intended. I have no requirement for guest users to register their devices. What do I need to do to remove the device registration portal from the log on sequence for guest user access? Thanks!

Hello Scoot,
you make a list of the MAC add of coperate devices. and set a rule if authentication doesn't happen only these devices can do the self registration.

IOS 8.0 our apple users and CISCO ISE customized portal [SOLVED]

i wondering why after the update to iOS 8.0 our apple users , cannot
make it to the ISE authentication Portal , we make em connect thru a WLC wich
is redirecting to ISE ( radius server ) the web-auth process,
while if we use the internal portal (PIC2) of wlc 5508 the all process going well
after the update to 8.0 apple IOS , devices can't reach our customized portal
no more.....
anybody experienced the same?

If your issue is resolved you should mark the thread as "Answered" :)
One thing to also consider is CWA (Central Web Auth) instead of what you are doing which is LWA (Local Web Auth). It is always better to do CWA as there are many benefits to it.

Email Notification for buyer account password

I have e sourcing 5.1 installed with local directory settings for buyside and smtp configured. currently I am not able to send notification on generation of buyer accounts.
Below i have given the settings that i have done for local directory buyside and SMTP
Local Directory Settings
Enterprise User
Set Up>Configuration> Directory Configuration--> Local Buyside
I have set Usage: Active Buyside and checked Default
SMTP Settings
Enterprise User
Set Up>Configuration>System Properties-->messaging smtp mailhost
here in values i have given my smtp host name and in context i have given the enterprise context
then in system Management> System Information> Daemons
I have checked email enabled
Now my doubts are:
1. Are the settings made adequate or do i need to make other settings?
2. When i try to create a buyer account am not able to send notifications.the buyer account do get created though.

You have followed correct steps.
you need to check the SMTP is working fine or not.
Also check
Login using Enterprise user or any other system admin and follow:
Setup-->System Administration-->Administrative Reports----->Queued Message
Setup-->System Administration-->Administrative Reports----->Processed Message.
There you can get correct reason of not getting E-mail notification.

ISE 1.2 unable to create guest accounts after import

Hi,
we are able to import guest accounts, but after clicking on "submit"-button nothing happens. So this is basically what we see:
There is no option to print the guestpasses. Is this a bug or are the guestpasses somewhere else? Furthermore there is no option to go back to main menu. We tried it on IE9 and in Firefox 25.0.1 we see even less after upload.

have you used correct template ?
Before You Begin
Click Download Template on this page to get a template to use for the import file. Ensure that the file you are importing conforms to the required structure before importing it. Additionally, if the file includes multi-byte characters, you must save the file in UTF-8 format.

Here's what I'm trying to do. When a guest user wants to use our guest wireless network, I want them to use self-registration. When they choose our guest SSID, it'll intercept the traffic, and redirect them to our guest portal. This works just fine. At the bottom of the page, there's a link that says, "Don't have an account?". They click on that link, which brings them to the self-registration form. They fill out the information, and click on Submit. I want an email to be sent to the email address of the person that they're visiting. In the self-registration form, there's a field "Person You're visiting (email address)". I do not want them to be able to send an email to themselves. In 1.2, it was possible to do this simply by whitelisting our domain, as the only email domain you could send a message to. In 1.3, that capability isn't there. Also, in order to send an email to the person that they're visiting, it requires approval from that person. If you don't have that option selected, and email doesn't go to the "Person being visited".

1. Can we send emails to groups or individuals through portal, without configuring oulook to portal?

Could you please give us the step by step procedure for Send Auto Alerts using "Mail Transport".?

Email notifications has guest username and pwd in body

I have an issue and will need your advice.
I have just applied AD.i.7 on Oracle E-Bussiness Suite 11.5.10 and whenever i am applying some leaves.
One mail is sent to me and one to the approver.i get mail correctly hovewer the approver sees username (GUEST)and login page in the mail body.
Can someone help me.

Thanks for your advise.In fact Oracle Support also recommended me the same.
I have already set a plan to migrate to Family Pack K Rollup 3 and down the road I will have to apply the ATG_PF.H RUP6 that will resolve this issue.
However I cannot apply the AD.I.7 on Live with this bug and wait to apply ATG_PF.H RUP6 as it will take some time.
I am planning to uninstall the AD.I.7 and install the AD.I.6 and test this issue.(FYI..We did not get this issue with AD.I.5)
Can you please advise how I should proceed for the uninstallation of AD.I.7 and install the AD.I.6.Previous installed version was AD.I.6.
