Cisco MCS Server 7825 front side LED status..?

Hi,
Please provide me the details of Cisco MCS server 7825 front side LED status. Because i our server one LED status showing AMBER. i know about the status of two led one is for HDD one is for Ethernet and please tell me about the third one.

Deepak Sambyal

Steve - if the servers are showing blank screen on monitor connected to console, it appears they are not even initialising the POST process. It could be due to a faulty component - could be CPU, RAM, motherboard..anything....
Generally with this kind of issues,  you try to isolate faulty hardware, by rebooting without any component and see if it reaches POST. I would suggest open a case with TAC and I hope the servers have active maintenance.
On another note try changing the monitor cable etc. to rule out any issue with any cable or monitor (which i doubt would be the case) just to make sure and then try a reboot and see if you see anything on screen.

  • MCS 7845-H2 Front Panel LED's

Trying to find some sort of support document for this server model to get an understanding of what the LED's mean, as one of them has just turned amber (which according to this ( http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6790/ps5748/ps378/product_data_sheet0900aecd80572766.html ) it indicates an internal component failure.

There's no setting to adjust the brightness of the LED.
Next time you are near an office supply store, pick up a box of 3/8" or1/2" round, white labels/stickers.
Place one or two over the LED and it will dim the LED. Add more to adjust the brightness level you want.
The white stickers are virtually invisible once you move back 3-4 feet from the AirPort Extreme.
Looks much nicer than a piece of tape.

  • SIP User Agent to talk with Cisco Presence Server directly

Hi there! I wonder if anyone has tried to have a customized SIP User Agent to talk directly to the Cisco Presence Server to subscribe for phone status? Any link to related documents? Thanks in advance!

The Cisco SIP functionality enables Cisco access platforms to signal the setup of voice and multimedia calls over IP networks. The SIP feature also provides nonproprietary advantages in the following areas:
    Protocol extensibility
    System scalability
    Personal mobility services
    Interoperability with different vendors

  • Cisco MCS 7825-H3 Powers On, But Nothing More

I have a pair of Cisco MCS 7825-H3 CallManagers, and due to repeated power issues on our campus today, both went down ungracefully went power was lost...and stayed down. So we have no functioning phones on site.
At this point, both MCS 7825-H3's will power on. The hard drives lights flash, then go out (like normal).e The fans spin up fast and loud. But I get nothing else. On the front of the device, the system health LED is solid green, the network LED flashes green with activity, and the hard drive activity LED is solid green. A connected VGA monitor displays nothing.
I am at a standstill...and am not sure if this is a hardware problem, a software problem, or another problem altogether. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thank you,

  • Query for MCS server

    Hi,
I have purchased the following MCS Server
    MCS7825I5-K9-CMD3A
    Unified CM 8.6 7825-I5 Appliance, 0 Seats
I find the following part number in the BoM
    CCX-85-CMBUNDLE-K9
CCX 8.5 Promo Bundle available only with NEW CUCM or BE6000
But i dont find any PAK number for the same.
My  requirement is for small call center therefore I was thinking of using the bundle CCX available with CUCM and wanted both softwares to run on single MCS server for cost saving. contact center users required is only 5.
Please help me with the same.
    Regards,
    Alex George

    Thanks for your quick response.
Can u confirm, the MCS boxes comes pre-installed with Standard or Enterprise License?
When we order from DCT, why does the option of Operating System to be ordered by the customer comes, if cisco is already preinstalling it?

  • MCS Server Sizing

Just looking for a general idea on MCS server sizing for CCM and IPCC Express. I understand actual sizing needs to be done by a partner with the Cisco tool.
My understanding from SRND is that all servers within a CCM cluster should be the same size (7835's, 7845's, etc.).
Does that mean my IPCC Express servers should be the same size/model as well?
Conceptually, would it be ok to use 7845's for my CCM cluster and 7835's for IPCC Express? (provided the sizing is independently appropriate).
    Thanks.

The choice of servers for IPCC express is completely independent from Callmanager hardware. Regarding the servers in the CCM cluster being the same, its generally a good practice to keep them all the same. (Though, you definitely can have a 7835 for your Subscriber and 7845 for Publisher, no big deal).
Now for IPCC Express, the choice of server requirement is based on, many factors.
    a. Just like Callmanager assigns weights to devices, IPCC Express assigns weights or points to various features such as (number of Recording sessions, number of Historical reporting sessions, ASR/TTS, total number of agents, supervisors, IVR ports etc. If your server doesnt meet the total number of points required for all the features you need, then you need to use the next higher model. So a 7825 has 900 points, 7835 has 1266 points, 7845 has i think about 3400 points. You have to use a spreadsheet available for download (called CRS configuration tool) which tells you the right hardware you need for the IPCC features that is required for your call center.
7845s are same as 7835s except that 7845s have dual processors, 2 extra hard disks, RAID 5 etc. You may need a 7845 if you need upto two HR sessions during business hours.

  • IBM MCS Server RUnning Unity with NIC Teaming

    All,
has anyone ever run NIC teaming on and IBM MCS Server with Unity before? At question is the fact that many severs create a virtual MAC address that is different from either of the actual MACs when you team NICs. If this is the case on the IBM Servers then we may need to request an updated license. The servers are branded as Cisco MCS-7835-I1
    units.
Thanks in advance. All replies rated!

    Hi
    According to this doc: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6790/ps5748/ps378/product_solution_overview0900aecd80091615.html
The 7825-I4 is an IBM IBM x3250-M2. You can use that model number to search the IBM drivers page for the things you need:
    http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/systemx/selectFixes
I think the NIC teaming comes with the Network Drivers.

  • XML Publisher Desktop Db connect SQL Server Host:Port:Sid

Brand new to XML Publisher. Set up XML Publisher Enterprise environment to work with SQL Server 2005 using both MS 2000 & 2005 JDBC drivers, so far no problem.
However the XML Publisher Desktop Report Wizard will not connect to SQL Server 2005 using either MS 2000 & 2005 JDBC drivers. I provide the same data source name, user and pw that I use in the XML Publisher Enterprise environment but it is the 4th piece of information - the database portion (Host:Port:Sid) that I am having trouble with. SID is an Oracle invention not used in the SQL Server world. I have tried various combinations of the database string without sucess.
Perhaps the XML Publisher Desktop does not work with SQL Server. Does anyone know how to use XML Publisher Desktop to create templates that will work with MS SQL Server?
    Thank you.
    BG...

    Shaun,
Thanks for you comments. I belive I now have enough to use the HSGC-ODBC technique to make the template and then re-edit it to make it work with the original JDBC connection.
That said, "Using ODBC-JDBC bridge connection is really poor in performance." I, more than anyone on the planet am aware of this issue and more.
Being new to XMLPublisher I thought that having a JDBC connection to a SQL Server from XMLP Enterprise led me to beleive that the XMLP Desktop template creation tool would also work. "*** Pity the fool ***" for thinking that! (Thank-you Mr. T!!! <grin>).
Because I had to engage a 'heterogeneous connectivity" solution to this problem indicates that the product is half-baked. That's not to say that it is not capable.
Rushing software products to market quickly creates products that make the rest of us jump through hoops. I resent that!!! I have more import things to do than waste time!
I demand more of a trusted vendor, do you? I have tortured myself with Oracle products thinking they were ready since the early nineties.
Look we are in a "heterogeneous universe" and if the product pretends to work with "heterogeneous databases" on the Enterprise side than it damn well aught to work with them on the Desktop side. That's my opinion.
    Attention OTN: I am back!!!
Justin, this needs to be fixed.
    Thanks!

The first AAA server listed in your config will always be used unless/until it becomes unavailable. At that point the NAD would move down to the next AAA server defined on the list and use that one until it becomes unavailable and then move to third one, and so on.
If you want to use two AAA servers at the same time then you will need to put a load balancer in front of them. Then the virtual IP (vip) will be listed in the NADs vs the individual AAA servers' IPs.
    I hope this helps!

  • Can I Bind a Front Panel LED to a specific element in an array of booleans?

In LabVIEW 2010 I have a string of LEDs. I have and array of boolean values that contain the values that the LEDs should indicate.
What is the best way to connect the LEDs to elements in the array of booleans?
Can I Bind a Front Panel LED to a specific element in an array of booleans?
    How is this done?
    Can anyone show sample code?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Imagine that you have an I/O card that provides 128, 256 or 1024 digital inputs and the requirement is to have an LED on the front panel to represent the state of each digital input. This frequently occurs.
Wiring that many digital inputs individually is a royal pain and then some !
It would make sense to have one shared variable as an array of Booleans that represents the status of all inputs and then use data binding instead of wiring each individually. The individually wiring would violate all recommendations on diagram size and fan out.
Frequently scanned For loops to update all of the LEDS would take alot of CPU time.
Wouldn't it be MUCH better if PSP could be used to update the LEDs whenever the data changed (as it is supposed to do) ?
In my case I have a LabVIEW Yaskawa servo driver that provides me information about 16 servo drives that may be connected. I have LEDs on the front panel to represent some of that status for each individual drive. But Yaskawa provides the information on the drives as an array of clusters of information for each drive, which I perform some business logic on and turn into shared array of Booleans to feed the LEDs (and some banks of switches as well).
Unfortunately LabVIEW does not seem to have any way to bind the LEDs (and Switches) to individual elements in the shared array of Booleans. It is just not that smart. Even with only several banks of 16 LEDs and Switches, wiring them individually using Decimate Array of Index Array functions is a royal pain and makes the block diagrams very large. It would be much worse and almost unreasonable to do if the size of the information was much larger.
