Cisco Meeting Place Express

Hello All,
I am trying to do the Meeting Place Express 8.0 Integration with interal WEBEX node for MCS "Type 2 Integration". My confusions are
1- Can we install Internal webex node on MCS without integrating with Cisco Webex Cloud?
Internal node will be used for scheduling the in house meeting. This configuration i am doing to acheive the LAB demo system.
My understanding is :- Internal WebEx node cannot be installed as a standalone without Webex Cloud Node.
Pls educate me how to proceed
If possible, Pls help me to get the document to acheive this configuration.

Thanks for your attention for my humble problem.
I have performed Meeting Place Express configuration through the “net” command.
But now unfortunately I can't connect to meeting place through web browser. I just get blank page.
Though I can reach the server with help of ssh. I think my DNS works properly because I can resolve the ip address of cumpxvoice .uclab.com and cumpxweb. uclab.com with help of dig command.
Have you any idea?

Cisco Meeting Place Express 2.1.1.2 and not working anymore

Hello, we currently have cisco meeting place express 2.1.1.2; however are now having issues with it. We are unable to dial to the internal extension that was previously working to login to the meetings and only get a busy signal everytime. Furthermore, whenever someone tries to schedule a new meeting via the web form, it says "request to server timed out. please try again".
I tried reaching out to Cisco TAC support; however it's no longer a supported item and am looking for assistance here. The TAC engineer was able to help assist with updating the system clock; however I believe the problems started happening after we updated the clock and rebooted the server. Now we are unable to schedule and attend any meetings (busy signal everytime) at all. I tried restarting the server itself as well as via the command line. I also now see an error during CLI restart, which I have listed directly below:

I have a problem with Cisco Meeting Place Express and Exchange Server synchronizing.

When I type the button test, I receive “Authentication error. Check the authenticated access to the Exchange Server for Microsoft NTLM authentication scheme.”
My Exchange Server is synchronized with MS Active Directory. As far as I know, Kerberous is used for authentication. So, how can I enable NTLM authentication scheme on AD? Are there any other options for Cisco MPE and Exchange synchronization?

I have corrected domain name in configuration after your advice. Cisco MPE Exchange Configuration is working very well now. I’m able to start a meeting from the outlook calendar and send messages to meeting participants.

Problem with Cisco Unified Meeting Place Express

the user is unable to get connected to the Meeting Bridge set up in the Cisco Unified Meeting Place Express on the scheduled time.

Hit up [email protected] and ask. They'll either say 'no' or give you hand; either way that's your answer.

Meeting Place Express 2.1.1.2 Web Access Issue

Hello all,
I'am having an issue with a Meeting Place Express 2.1.1.2 server. There was a power failure and now we can still access the server via dial-in but the web acess is not working. From the CLI i run the mpx_sys status command and it says webservices is active. The server has been restarted. When I check the errorlog I see "unable to connect to webservices, trying again" Anyone know what the issue might be? Thanks

Have you tried the recovery procedures below:

If that doesnt work, you will need to open a TAC case and TAC will send you a password recovery .iso file to burn on a CD/DVD.

Cisco Meeting Place requirement

Please, we are trying to deploy cisco meeting place for the purpose of easy conferencing and presentation sharing.
Do i need to have a Cisco unified call manager, and all we have is a panasonic pabx.
Please advice the way forward.

Also, this is not the correct channel for sales/BoM assistance. You need to work with Cisco Presales assistance and/or your Cisco AM if you require assistance on that front.

Meeting place express and Windows 7 compatibility

I wonder if someone already tried to use Meeting place Express 2.0 with clients that are using Windows 7 OS? If so I wonder if there are some compatibility issues?

At least with the 2.1.1.2 hotfix 36 version (last and highly recommended patch) of the product the Outlook plugin appears to work with Windows 7 32bit and Office 2007. It's getting increasingly touchy as Microsoft patches things and totally bombs in Office 2010 if you have the 64bit version.
The Adobe Breeze interface seems to function without issue, even in the 64bit OS.

Bandwidth requirements are the same as a phone call. If you are using G.711, then 60K+ per call. Each participant calls into the system on either an internal number or on a PSTN line with a dedicated phone number(s). The enter the meeting ID and are in the meeting. Beside scheduled meetings reservationless is also supported. The MP Application Server handles managing the voices in a meeting and is the only server required.
MP runs on specific MCS server listed below and won’t install/be supported on other MCS servers.

Meeting place express email notification not working

Hi,
Facing issue with meeting place express email notification.
The SMTP e-mail exchanger rejected a recipient's e-mail address as unknown.
is the error message i get.
Ping status is fine, on firewall ports are opened as any any.
As per the exchange administrator, there is no request coming to the exchange from meeting place.
Any help is appreciated.

I assume this is an existing system that has been working as MPE has not been sold in a long time. Was this working in the pass and just stopped working? When are you seeing this error and does it happen for all users?
Has the logon changed that MP uses to access the SMTP server? If the password changed on the SMTP server and was not updated on MP this will happen.

Cisco Meeting Place - lab requirements

Appreciate if anyone can just give me a quick pointer.
Apparently; I have limited/no knowledge of implementing the Cisco Meeting Place.
I would like to setup a demo lab/environment for practise.
I managed to obtain the Cisco Meeting Place 7.0 thru the Cisco Unified Workspace for Partners Software & licensing kit.
It came with 4 CDs
1. Cisco Unified Meeting Place Web Conferencing
2. CIsco Unified Meeting Place Application Server
3. CIsco IP Telephony Server Meeting Place (MCS7825,hp servers)
4. Cisco IP Telephony Server Meeting Place (IBM Servers)
I would like to install it in a VM environment.
What else is needed from my side to run Meeting place as a demo lab??
I went thru its hardware requirements

Cisco meeting place 8.0 upgrade media download or PUT and upgrade process?

Hello all, I have been given the task to upgrade our cisco meeting place sever version 8.0.1.3 on both the app server and web sever.
We have a valid UCSS and I would like to go to version 8.5 Is this something I can order via PUT or can I download one of the upgrades I see on cisco's website?
Also I'm a little confused on the upgrade process. I've read another post that I have to export the exsisting data then do a fresh install of 8.5 then import the data..... Is this true?

Cisco meeting place 7 support for lotus notes 8.5.3

Does anyone know if meeting place 7 support for lotus notes 8.5.3 ?
The template listed on my meeting place is 8.5.2 and I have try to find if we can download new template and then put it on the server, but looks like that's not the case.

"Add the Domino 8.5.x MailFileTmplt Registry Key on the Cisco Unity Server" according to

Cisco Meeting place 6.x unable to open admin page

i am having meeting place 6.x .configure IP address to both NICs . Gateway SIM showing me s connected, But Web page of meeting place unable to display

Please have a look at the ssl settings on the ASA: "show run | i ssl".
You may not have strong ciphers enabled and the PC with the newer browser does not accept the default weak ciphers. I make it a habit to setup ASAs with:
ssl encryption 3des-sha1 aes128-sha1 aes256-sha1 rc4-md5
Those are all strong ciphers.

Cisco Meeting Place requirements and solution

Hi There,
I would like to have a on-site; server based manageable audio conference solution in our organization. We have 1 HO. and 25 remote branches located over the country. The Audio system should work via our data network. We have point to point and MPLS link throughout the network.
Audio conference can be held through outlook express/web browser. If not, we can also opt for 1/2 IP Telephones in each Remote site. The HO audio/conference requirement is for 15 users.
We also need to setup conference/Boardroom VC in the Head Office where all the HO Dept Managers would sit in case of remote site conference meeting.Also note that we have data connectivity in all the branches but Internet connections may/may not be available in some of the remote branches.
I have gone through Cisco unified MeetingPlace and looks like a perfect solution to us. Could you please advise if this is the best solution for our audio solution. If yes, Please advise how this would work and suggest part code and license information.
