Cisco Mobile 8.0 on iOS6

Here is what I have! I am running Call Manager 8.5.1 I have installed Cisco Mobile 8.0 on my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1. I have tried everything to get it to registar with no success! I have created a Cisco IP Communicator I have used this several times before with softphones. The device shows the IP address of the iPhone the registration shows rejected. I have tried the SIP Digest Authentication on and off. I have setup the Digest Credentials for the user and I have a SIP Trunk Security Profile Created and still nothing! I just keep getting "Verification timed out"! Any ideas would be great!!!!

Well I tried that and now the Device Name is giving me an error and no matter what I put in there it errors.
Add failed. [491] The specified name has invalid characters or is not formatted correctly for this device type.

A double click on the Home button will reveal a tray containing all apps that are currently running (suspended?).
Side swiping this will reveal as many as are active, with a swipe to the right when on the first display will reveal further controls for the iPad, mainly relating to the iPod part, but also containing a screen lock option I believe.
Click and hold any one of them till they 'jiggle' and show a - you can then click this to remove it, relaunching the app as required in the normal way.

  • What happened to Cisco Mobile Supervisor? No longer in app store.

Cisco Mobile Supervisor is no longer in the app store.  Is there a reason?

    Hi,
no reason. It was killed silently.
If you take a look at the UCCX comp matrix, for instance, for UCCX 9.0(1), there's the following note:
Note: The Cisco Mobile Supervisor application is withdrawn from the Cisco App Store. Cisco does not provide support for Cisco Mobile Supervisor deployments.
A wild theory of mine follows: that application was actually a one-man-show. A toy to be shown on product demos, a piece of art, never understood. I actually liked it, although it was somewhat limited as Aaron has pointed out bellow. I guess the original creator of the application waved goodbye to Cisco plus now that "everything is on the web" (ie. it's easier to create a web application than to maintain a "fat" client) Cisco did not have the reason why they should keep it any longer.
If there's a CCBU person lurking around here, could you please comment on this.

  • Can't find the cisco mobile ios type

    hello,
i use CCA version 3.2, i want to add a cisco mobile ios to the UC520 system so i installed the cisco jabber in my phone but when i tried to add  the extension line of the phone in CCA i don't find the type cisco mobile ios with what type can i define the android phone?

Your question is a bit confusing, but it looks like you are asking what phone type you should choose for an android phone?
Android is NOT supported as a Jabber client on the UC5XX series.
iPhone is the only supported platform, and only the voice/voicemail component (no video or chat). iPad/Android/etc are NOT supported at all.

  • Cisco Mobile 8.1 w/iPhone 4 - Outbound Call Fails

    Hello Everyone,
Using CUCM 7.1.5 and Cisco Mobile iPhone app, I set up my boss's iPhone 4 and it registers and can receive calls. I am getting a "Call Failed" when trying to make an outbound call using internal 5-digit dialing. Has anyone set this up? Is it necessary to configure these Application Dialing Rules (and install the COP file for them) that are referenced in the Cisco Mobile Admin Guide? I interpretted those rules as optional, if you want to set up things like bypassing dialing 9 for PSTN access, etc. Shouldn't the internal dialing work since the phone is registered?
    Grateful for any help,
    Kelly

No, you do not need Application Dial Rules for Iphone to IPPhone calls. ADR are for
like you said to add a 9, remove the + and manipluate digits.
I suggest you open a case with the TAC to help you see why you cannot call. Maybe issue
    with ASA or something.

  • Cisco Mobile 8 only rings once on iPhone

    Hello Everyone,
I have recently setup access through Cisco mobile 8 though a couple iphoes on our network.I have desktop integration working fine, I am able to dial out just fine, the only problem is when someone calls in. On the 3G models of iPhone the call only gets 1/2 to 1 ring before it disappears. The call continues to ring on the actual desk phone, but the iPhone notes it as a missed call. On the 3GS models the call rings on the iPhone for the full duration, and you are able to answer it without any problems. Unfortunately I do not have a iPhone 4 to test with right now. Does anyone have any ideas? I have went through the logs for my 3G to see if anything stuck out but it hardly makes mention of the call incoming and makes no mention of the call missing.
Someone had mentioned a similar problem to what I am having currently, but since it was tied to a second issue that was answered I wanted to seperate them out.
Thanks for reading and any help,
    Trevor

A little more in depth info for you, when someone calls an extension that I have on the iPhone 3g is rings only once, but they other phones assigned to that extension (standard cisco ip phones) continue to ring their full duration. I tried the same thing with an iPhone 3gs and it worked fine.
I would love to attach the trace for you, but as embarassing as it is to admit I have not done a trace since CCM4.3, and I am having trouble finding a guide for setting up the correct trace in CUCM 7.

  • Tapi Monitor Cisco Mobile 8.0

    Hi,
One question regarding of Cisco Mobile 8.0 (on iPhone) monitoring.
We have a Nice integration (passive record) to perform call record with CUCM 8.0.
Nice is using Tapi to monitor all the phones. We'd like to record also Mobile Phone.
Unfortunately Cisco Mobile 8.0 (TCTXXXXXXX) is not recognized as a TAPI monitored phone.
I did the association between the application user and the TCT Device and then I launch TapiMonitor.exe to check if the device is under control, this one is not present in the list.
    Somebody know why  ?
How is possible then to record calls made from this kind of Device ?
    Thanks
    Fabian

You enter the port number against the 'LDAP Server' field of each TCT device you create per iPhone. The admin guide says:
For the LDAP server, enter the hostname or IP address and port of your
Active Directory server. Global catalog must be enabled, so use port
3269 for secure (SSL) connections and 3268 for nonsecure connections.
    Use the format YourDirectoryServer.YourCompany.com:portnumber.
By default, if you enter no port or SSL settings, Cisco Mobile attempts an SSL connection to port 3269.

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 For CME 8.6 : Verification Timed Out

    Hi Guys,
    Good day!
Anyone tried to implement Cisco Mobile on CME?
I have followed some guide lines from other forums such as:
     http://www.ccierants.com/2011/05/finally-cisco-mobile-81-supports-cme-86.html
But I encounter some problems -> Verification Timed Out
Attached is the logs from CME router.
    Thank you.

Have you restarted the "Cisco CallManager" service?  Do you have IP address configured under CUCM > System > Servers?
    Thanks!

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 vs Cisco Jabber (iOS)

Strange problem that a few users on my campus started noticing, that I also have been able to replicate.  I can sit at my desk (approximately 15ft. from an access point) and make a call with Cisco Jabber.  The call will be dropped within 2 minutes consistently.  With the same server settings, etc. loaded into Cisco Mobile 8.0 I can make a call to the same number, from the same location and stay connected for 30 minutes or more (as long as I tested).  2 or 3 other iOS users have been able to replicate this problem.  At least 2 of us are on iOS 5 and I believe the 3rd user is on IOS 4.3.x.
    Ideas?
    Thanks
    ~Tom

We're having this same issue.  We're running CUCM 8.0.3.  Cisco Mobile 8.x worked great - but the latest Jabber for iPhone (8.6.5.18781) is experiencing these issues.  We are also running iOS 5.1.1 (the latest).
This is causing alot of frustration for our users as I'm sure it is for other people also.
    Thanks,
    Jon

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 for iPhone

    HI,
Interested if anyone has used Automatic Setup option for Users & Devices? Trying to figure out what you as an Admin need to setup and what can get done bu users?
    Thanks
    Charl

I should have been a bit more specific. In terms of the following, what gets provisioned by the admin and what
can the users do themselves(via automatic setup):
    - Setting Up Voice Over IP and  Standard Telephony Features
    - Setting Up Transfer of  Active Calls Between Cisco Mobile 8.0 and the Desk Phone
    - How to Enable Transfer of  Active Calls from VoIP to the Mobile Voice Network (GSM)
    Thnx

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 for iPhone Running Status

I am running Cisco Mobile on my iPhone and have it working, but cannot get the app to stay running in the background. Anyone have any insight on this?

    8.0 doesn't support multitasking, 8.1 does however:
Cisco Mobile Release 8.0 runs on iOS 4.2 but does not support multitasking.

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 No incoming calls to iPhone

I am trying to use cisco mobile 8.0 iphone, I am able to register the phone with CUCM, also able to call other SCCP device connected with CUCM. However when call get connected, I can’t hear anything from SCCP device but the SCCP device can hear the voice from Iphone(SIP device). And also I can’t make outgoing call to iphone(SIP) number from SCCP device. Am I missing something?
I am using CUCM 8.0.2 and iphone 4 with 8.0.2
    Thanks

The one-way loss of audio is a routing or firewall issue. Check to ensure that the path from the SCCP phone is not obstructed and routable to the iPhone.
As for incoming calls to the iPhone, is the program running in the foreground? The current release does not support multitasking.

  • Cisco Mobile 8.0 iphone: How to configure the Directory? is it the same on the IP phones?

    Hi,
I have a few iphones running Mobile 8.0 and Mobile 8.1.  Everything works fine except for the Directory.
Im looking to get the the directory working on the Mobile 8.x phones; the Coorporate Directory (the same as in the IP Phones) is this possible on the  Cisco Mobile 8.X?
If so, how to get it to work?
I've read about setting up LDAP for the Mobile 8.x phones; is this what's needed or is this to access my MS Active Directoy data from my business side?
Im running UCCM 7.x and on my IP phones I have an option 5 for Coorporate Directory, I want this on my Mobile 8.x phones.
    thanks

Your organisation's Active Directory is what I'm referring to (or most other LDAP directories if you're not using AD, although they're not all supported). You would indeed need to populate your Active Directory with the user's extension numbers for this to be of any use to you.
We do indeed use the directory on Cisco Mobile, but because we already have all End Users in our Communications Manager imported via LDAP, we're not maintaining two directories, the number that the End User is allocated comes from our LDAP database.
If all your phone users are manually created then you are going to have a bit of extra administration burden to provide the directory to Cisco Mobile users.

  • Cisco Mobile 8.1 for iPad

We are trying to install and test Cisco Mobile 8.1 for iPhone. we have entered all necessary info and get back a "protocol not suppoeted" message. Has anyone successflly deployed Cisco Mobile 8.1 for iPhone  on the ipad?

It seems to have been removed from iTunes from what I have searched. Maybe Apple pulled it because of some compliance reason.
