Cisco Mobile 8 only rings once on iPhone
Hello Everyone,
I have recently setup access through Cisco mobile 8 though a couple iphoes on our network.I have desktop integration working fine, I am able to dial out just fine, the only problem is when someone calls in. On the 3G models of iPhone the call only gets 1/2 to 1 ring before it disappears. The call continues to ring on the actual desk phone, but the iPhone notes it as a missed call. On the 3GS models the call rings on the iPhone for the full duration, and you are able to answer it without any problems. Unfortunately I do not have a iPhone 4 to test with right now. Does anyone have any ideas? I have went through the logs for my 3G to see if anything stuck out but it hardly makes mention of the call incoming and makes no mention of the call missing.
Someone had mentioned a similar problem to what I am having currently, but since it was tied to a second issue that was answered I wanted to seperate them out.

A little more in depth info for you, when someone calls an extension that I have on the iPhone 3g is rings only once, but they other phones assigned to that extension (standard cisco ip phones) continue to ring their full duration. I tried the same thing with an iPhone 3gs and it worked fine.
I would love to attach the trace for you, but as embarassing as it is to admit I have not done a trace since CCM4.3, and I am having trouble finding a guide for setting up the correct trace in CUCM 7.

It is probably because you have switched off the notifications alerts.
Check in settings-notifications center-message and there select the alert sound.

Then get your iPhone checked out by an Apple Genius.. Or you can go online and Apple will check out your iPhone with an App sent via email.............

FaceTime call to my iMac will only ring once then hang up and won't let me answer. How do I make it ring more times? I can call my iphone 4 from the imac with no problem but when I call my imac from my phone, it won't let me answer.

In the holster it vibrates fine but only rings once!
Hi would appreciate some help. New to the forum so appolagies if this has been discussed before.
My Storm 9500 vibrates fine in the holster but only rings once! I am continually missing calls.
I can't find how to change it. Out of the holster i have set it to ring for 30 seconds and it does just that.
Please help and advise. It is doing my head in to try and sort this problem.
Someone on the web suggested putting the unit into the holster upside down????

5s, ios 7.1.2 - when callers from LANDLINE call, it only rings once
This will sound downright odd. For the last two months, when someone calls from a LANDLINE, the CALLER hears one ring and then just silence. In the meantime, my iphone is ringing like normal. And typically the caller will hang up because they don't hear the phone ringing. So I tried recreating this with my work landline. When I called the iphone from the landline it rang once and then just silence....and eventually it did go to voicemail. But if you don't know to wait through the long silence, you can't leave a message.
Even weirder: when you call iphone to iphone, it works just fine. Rings like normal for the Caller.
But landline to iphone? One ring for the caller and then silence. I'm losing important business calls and I'm frustrated. I've been to the Apple Store. They were able to recreate the problem but didn't have a fix. And when I went to Sprint, they were not able to recreate the problem so they looked at me like I was nuts and told me to just delete all my voicemails and reset my voicemail. Which I did. To no end. It didn't solve anything.
So I'm probably heading back to both the Apple Store and the Sprint store tomorrow. But I figured I could at least see if anyone else had any experience with this or any ideas on potential causes or fixes.

Call setup is done by the carrier, and since you are not having any issues with other calls, it seems it has to do with something setting up on their end. The phone does not contain any type of setting for what a person hears when they call your number. They should be able to do a reset on your account, since this only seems to involve receiving calls from a landline phone. If it had been me, I would have looked at Sprint like they were nuts when they talked about your voicemail, since it has absolutely nothing to do with that. The carrier also has control of the time period the device rings before it goes to voicemail. You can try with Apple again, but I don't see anything that could be done on the phone to change this, since you are not having any issue receiving calls.

Here is what I have! I am running Call Manager 8.5.1 I have installed Cisco Mobile 8.0 on my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1. I have tried everything to get it to registar with no success! I have created a Cisco IP Communicator I have used this several times before with softphones. The device shows the IP address of the iPhone the registration shows rejected. I have tried the SIP Digest Authentication on and off. I have setup the Digest Credentials for the user and I have a SIP Trunk Security Profile Created and still nothing! I just keep getting "Verification timed out"! Any ideas would be great!!!!
Well I tried that and now the Device Name is giving me an error and no matter what I put in there it errors.
Add failed. [491] The specified name has invalid characters or is not formatted correctly for this device type. -

I have a playlist that I only sync to my iPhone once a year (Christmas Music). I checked it on the list to sync, along with all my other playlists but when I Apply it and Sync it, the Christmas Music Playlist does not show up. It showed up one time with only 2 of 238 songs. Then it showed up with the music in the iCloud, but would only play 3 songs and would skip through a bunch of songs ending up on only those 3 songs. I can't tell you how many times I have "Synced" my phone trying to get the Christmas Playlist to show up. I changed the name, deleted the playlist and reinstalled it, deleted it on the phone and tried to reinstall it on the phone manually. Can't get it to work. Christmas will be over and I will not be able to listen to my music. THX, Lynn

I had a very similar issue (same playlist). After several frustrating hours of various combinations I was able to sync by changing the options to "manuall sync.." and then "dragging and dropping" the needed playlist from the iTunes Playlist list to the iPhone button (on my itunes setup/view that was from the far left column list of all of my playlist in iTunes to the far upper right "iPhone" button). To sum up "checking" the playlist and syncing didnt work, "drag and droping" the playlist did... at least for now... then I unselected the "manually manage" in the options and re-synced and all playlist were synced correctly. Hi chaps. FaceTime question. I can FaceTime by phoning my iPhone 4 from my iPad 2 but cannot phone my iPad from the iPhone. When facetimeing from phone to iPad the phone says it's busy. The iPad rings once and then stops. Any ideas. Regards Jon

I just got the iPhone 5 and noticed that the message alerts will only alert once . I have it set up as 3 times and its not working . Please help. I'm running 6.0.2 and I really starting to get ****** off with apple products
Instead of getting annoyed, read the User's Guide and try basic troubleshooting.

IPhone 5 only ringing for contacts with personalized ring tones
I have an iPhone 5 and it only rings for contacts that I've assigned a personal ringtone to. It does not ring for all other contacts with the default ring tone. Also, I have the last iOSX, not the current operating system with improved Siri and all that. I hope one of you beautiful people can assist me. Thanks mates!
Check your Do Not Disturb in Settings and make sure you don't have something enabled there.

I updated my fully functional IPhone 4S to OS7. Now when someone calls it rings once and goes to voicemail. Has anyone had this problem? How do I fix it? And yes I have restored my phone and reloaded it twice, still *****. It has turned into a Microsoft product.
