Cisco platforms that support TTCP

I would like to test through-put from my routers to a managment station using TTCP. Does anyone know which platforms support TTCP. I am unable to test through-put using TTCP on Cisco 827's.

According to next document:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk801/tk36/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094694.shtml
"TTCP requires Cisco IOS® Software Version 11.2 or higher and Feature Sets IP Plus (is- images) or Service Provider (p- images).
Note: The ttcp command is a hidden, unsupported, privileged mode command. As such, its availability may vary from one Cisco IOS software release to another, such that it might not exist in some releases. Some platforms, for instance, require the Cisco IOS Enterprise feature set in order to perform this activity."

  • Cisco switches that support IPv6 L2 security

I'm looking for Cisco switches that support IPv6 layer 2 security. The following features are required:
    MLDv2 snooping [RFC4541]
    DHCPv6 snooping [RFC3315]
DHCPv6 messages must be blocked between subscribers and the network so that false DHCPv6 servers cannot distribute addresses.
Router Advertisement (RA) filtering [RFC4862, RFC5006]
RA filtering must be used in the network to block unauthorised RA messages.
    Dynamic "IPv6 neighbour solicitation/advertisement" inspection [RFC4862]
There must be an IPv6 neighbour solicitation/advertisement inspection, as in IPv4 "Dynamic ARP Inspection". The table with MAC-address and link-local and other assigned IPv6-addresses must be dynamically created by SLAAC or DHCPv6 messages.
Neighbour Unreachability Detection [NUD, RFC4861] filtering
There must be a NUD filtering function to ensure that false NUD messages cannot be sent.
Duplicate Address Detection [DAD, RFC4429] snooping and filtering
Only authorised addresses may be allowed as source IPv6 addresses in DAD messages from each port.

I've looked around in some configuration guides for some Cisco access switches but I can't seem to find any switch supporting these functionalities.

    See if this helps.

  • Cisco Nexus 5548UP support SFP-10G-LRM ?

Hi all, I have a question about Cisco Nexus 5548UP. Is Cisco Nexus 5548UP support SFP-10G-LRM ? Because in CCW, i can't configure the SFP-10G-LRM. There is only SFP-10G-LR, SR, and the others, but there's no LRM. Pelase help me to answer this question. Thanks a lot

The LRM is s special case transceiver which supports 10 Gbps over older FDDI grade multimode fiber when used with a mode conditioning patch cord. It is not supported on the Nexus 5548UP.
The SFP-10G-LR is used with single mode fiber for spans up to 10 km in length. It is supported on the 5548UP (and most every platform of Cisco's that takes SFPs).
Please see the product data sheet here.

  • Small, cheap NAS box that supports nfs/rsync/ssh ?

    Hi all,
for my personal backup needs, I'm looking for a standalone NAS box ("networked hard disk/raid solution").  I need to have support for at least one of rsync/nfs/ssh.  (smb/ftp is not enough for me)
It shouldn't be too big (eg not the size of a regular pc.) and it shouldn't cost more then 350 euro or so without disks.
If I can mount one or two sata 1TB disks I'm happy.
Bonus points for solutions where I have total control over the "OS" on it, where the hardware platform exists of standardized easily replacable parts and if it's powerfull enough to do encryption. (I'm prepared to throw in extra cash for these features)
    I guess my options are:
    1) a product that supports what I want out of the box.  I couldn't find that (unless ridiculously expensive, eg 500 euro or more without disks)
    2) a product that *almost* does what I want, but where you can install a small Linux distro/freenas over the original firmware so you can do what you want.  Basically any appliance (be it a storage device, embedded platforms, network equipment, ...) that can host hard disks and where you can overwrite the OS is worth looking into.
    3) building something myself.  I've seen some really small motherboards based on Atom cpu's, or even embedded stuff can be enough (something like soekris, pc-engines, etc).  But it needs 2 sata ports then, I need to find a housing, a psu, etc. SFF-pc's such as shuttle's etc can also be good options
    Any tips, pointers, ideas ?
    Thanks

    Notes
    * I heard via Epia is rather expensive especially for it's quite low performance
    * Via nano might be a good platform (must google more for this, stable?)
    * There are no Atom boards with more then 2 sata ports.  (the msi's still are to be expected)
    * Taking an intel board with a slow celeron / amd with sempron can be an option, it will be fast , stable and not expensive.  I'm told it wouldn't pull too much power either. (although more then atom/epia)
    * "ready-to-go" SFF-pc's/barebones can be found in the <300 euro price range, making this a good target for a simple 1/2-disk NAS
    * AHCI problems with AMD/ATI RS400-200, RS480 HBA and Nvidia nForce 560. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_H … _Interface
    * An intel G45/Q45-based system would be sweet, they have
    - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_In … _Factor.29
    - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_In … C_45_nm.29
with very low TDP, but they don't fit in socket 775

deadrabbit wrote:I recently bought an MSI Wind desktop, with pretty much the same thing in mind. I ended deciding against a NAS enclosure, since I wanted to be able to install a conventional Linux distro, and have complete control over it.  The Wind is cheap, and all the hardware is Linux compatible (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6856167032). I ended up installing the OS on a CompactFlash card, so the hard drive would have to run constantly. As a result, it's nice and quite, uses little power, and the OS on the CF card is automatically backed up to the hard drive. I wrote up a detailed description of the project here: http://rockhoppernotes.blogspot.com/200 … sktop.html.
    Thanks, looks quite good.
Except one thing: the 945GC chipset has a TDP of 22.2W.. that's stupid imo, and defeats the whole purpose of a low-tdp cpu such as the Atom.  Right now I'm still doubting between waiting for an Atom board based on the 945GM(S)/945GSE chip (TDP 6Watt) (eeebox has that one, some MSI mini-ITX boards should be available in january) or going for a socket775 board with an intel core2 45nm cpu, which would consume not much more then Atom+ 945GC chipset (when idle, loaded is much more but I don't plan to load it ).
Nvidia is also working on an Atom chipset but I don't think I'll wait for that.

  • Does it have a feature that supports management with accounts, fixed IP, VLAN ?

I'm not quite familiar with those advanced features if it does exist as the fact that i've been primarily using cheap and unknown AP products for years :D I'm planning on upgrading my APs for personal reasons. Could anyone tell me does it have a feature that likely supports management with accounts, fixed IP, VLAN? What is it called and which product could fit my needs?
    Thanks.

  • Does CISCO C3560X VLAN support multiple Network segments which are further configured with HSRP function

    Hi Cisco experts,
My name is Kumagai and I need your expert opinions below.
I am trying to configure one VLAN1 support multiple network segments as below.
(this should be a very straight forward configuration and should be OK, I think ? )
     interface Vlan1
     ip address 172.30.0.0 255.255.128.0
     ip address 172.30.31.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.61.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.71.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.4.253 255.255.255.0 secondary
The only issue that is eating me is the above network segments are using HSRP too
and I am not sure is this possible with a combination of VLAN1 supporting multiples which are
further supported with HSRP settings in Cisco environment.
    !example of HSRP:
    interface Vlan4
     ip address 172.30.4.253 255.255.255.0
     no ip redirects
     standby 4 ip 172.30.4.254
     standby 4 priority 105
     standby 4 preempt
<<< what will happen if I add the HSRP configuration as below into the above VLAN1 with multiple Network segment ??)
I would like to summarize my "Combined" configurations as below but I need your expert opinions on
whether the configuration below is workable without any problem ??
Or it is a total flop because Cisco does not support the configuration below !!!
     interface Vlan1
     ip address 172.30.0.0 255.255.128.0
     ip address 172.30.31.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.61.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.71.253 255.255.254.0 secondary
     ip address 172.30.4.253 255.255.255.0  secondary
     standby 30 ip 172.30.31.254
     standby 30 priority 105
     standby 30 preempt
     standby 60 ip 172.30.61.254
     standby 60 priority 105
     standby 60 preempt
     standby 70 ip 172.30.71.254
     standby 70 priority 105
     standby 70 preempt
     standby  4 ip 172.30.4.254
     standby  4 priority 105
     standby  4 preempt
    Thanking you in advance !!!!!

    Hi,
As far as i know we dont set the ip helper address on the radio interface. It should be on the L3 interface of corresposding VLANs i.e.
    int vlan 20
    ip helper-address 192.168.33.xxx
    int vlan 60
    ip helper-address 130.20.1.xxx
I'm assuming that your using SVI's (int Vlan 20 and int Vlan 60) rahter than physical interfaces. Also hope you have configured switch port as trunk where this AP is connected.
Modify the AP config as below since you are using data vlan as the native vlan
    interface Dot11Radio0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
    interface FastEthernet0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
Ideally your AP fastethernet configuration should looks like below and not sure how you missed this as this comes by default when you have multiple vlans for multiple ssids.
    interface FastEthernet0.20
    encapsulation dot1Q 20 native
    no ip route-cache
    bridge-group 20
    no bridge-group 20 source-learning
    bridge-group 20 spanning-disabled
    interface FastEthernet0.60
    encapsulation dot1Q 60
    no ip route-cache
    bridge-group 60
    no bridge-group 60 source-learning
    bridge-group 60 spanning-disabled
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Najaf

  • What are all the o/ss that support java?

I have been coding and testing java apps under windows NT. I have been asked to provide information of all the o/s that support java, to enable platform independence. So for eg, if I were to run my java application on Hp or Sun, do I need different runtimes of java, or is there a common java runtime for all flavors of unix. Also, is the ide for linux different from other unix versions. Basically I need a complete list of vendor, o/s and java runtime version that will run on the same. Where can I get this list.

  • Is Cisco Nexus 5596UP support vlan base Policing and traffic shaping on code NX OS version: 5.1(3)N1(1)

Is Cisco Nexus 5596UP support vlan base Policing and traffic shaping on code NX OS version: 5.1(3)N1(1)
where i couldn't see any police command under the policy map

I have tested this issue on another 5548UP with L3 running the same NX-OS version and get the same problem. Show CDP from the switch is not discovering devices, but the neightbors can see the 5K in question. Reboot sometimes will fix it, but not always. I suspect a problem with the software since that doesn't happen in NX-OS 5.2. The one I am using is
    Software
      BIOS:      version 3.6.0
      loader:    version N/A
      kickstart: version 5.1(3)N2(1)

  • Cisco supervisor Desktop support for Windows 7

We are getting ready to rollout Windows 7. We ran into a problem while testing Historical Reports and Cisco supervisor Desktop on Windows 7. Historical Reports installs just fine while CSD give us an error that the operating system is not supported by Cisco. Is there a current version that supports Windows 7?
    Our IPCC version is:
    Cisco Application Administration - 7.0(1)SR05_Build504
    Package: Cisco Unified CCX Enhanced
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yefim

Yes, you are wandering down a long and lonely road.
Repackaging an install package from an .exe (which could be one of a million types of installer, such as InstallShield) to an MSI isn't a trivial task - it's a fairly specialist piece of work.
You can only open MSIs with Orca, it doesn't support other types of install package.
I would suggest if you have a workable solution with ThinApp you'd be best to leave it there...

  • Oracle Adapter for SAP that supports Integration with SAP 6.0??

    Hi,
I am working currently with Oracle Adapter for SAP with SAP 4.6.
But my company is looking for upgrading the Enterprise SAP system to 6.0.
Do we have Oracle Adapter for SAP that supports SAP 6.0? Please let me know if anyone has already worked on this?
    Thanks,
    Sasi Bhushan

    Sasi,
There is a new MySAP adapter with 10.13.1 and above to support ECC 6.0. Please see the following section in the 10.1.3.1 adapter release notes:
12.4.1 MySAP ERP Versions and APIs
The following MySAP ERP platforms are supported by OracleAS Adapter for MySAP
    ERP:
    ■ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x100
    ■ SAP R/3 Enterprise 47x200
    ■ MySAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 5.0, deployed on SAP NetWeaver 2004
    ■ MySAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 6.0, deployed on SAP NetWeaver 2004s
    ■ SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) Version 2.18.
For the current release status of the SAP Java Connector, refer to SAP Note #549268
    in the SAP Service Marketplace.
Release versions may vary by product component. In addition, SAP functions may
vary by SAP product version and support package.
Note: The OracleAS Adapter for MySAP ERP supports only the versions listed above.
It is not recommended to use the OracleAS Adapter for MySAP ERP with older
versions of SAP R/3. If you plan to use the adapter with older versions of SAP R/3 for
example SAP R/3 4.6C, prior approval from iWay Software Product Management is
    required.
