Cisco Prime 4.2, Inventory group management and reports group

Hi
I have created some groups under Inventory > Group Management > Device. This works fine.
Then I want to create a monthly report for Reports > Performance > Device > Availability. Here I guessed I would find my groups created under inventory.
But I can se the groups, one group is duplicated, but all groups are empty. Under all devices, I can only see 6 og th devices but it should have been 122. Under the different subnet groups, there's no devices.
Should'nt I've seen the groups created under inventory when I want to make a report? Under the device list for quick report.

Hm.... strange I've been looking around under Report, and looked at Inventory and Performance reports.
Inventory > Detailed Device shows all the devices and my groups.
Performance > Device > Availability show just 6 out of my 122 devices.
Under Inventory > Group Managment > Device I have a group called Datasenter.
Under Performance > Device > Availability I can see 2 of these groups, but their both empty.
When i delete this group, one of them dissapeer from Under performance. WHen I create it again, it comes back but empty.
Something must be corrupt.

Example library ZA1 has 2 report group ZG1 and ZG2. If can, what is the implication to have more than 1 report group.

Can anyone please explain how does Hash GROUP BY And Sort GROUP BY exactly work ?

As the name suggests, SORT GROUP BY achieves the same goal by sorting.According to Tom SORT GROUP BY doesn't always sort correctly .. tried to understand his explanation as he said "It always did a BINARY SORT - not a character set sort. So the data would be sorted incorrectly if you use anything but very simple ASCII strings..."
can you give me an example where binary value of a string A is greater than string B while ascii value of string B is greater than string A ?

App-V 5.0 SP3 SQL Script modifications (KB3031340) Required for both Management and Reporting Databases?

Can anyone confirm if I need to modify the InsertVersionInfo.sql and Permisioins.sql scripts for both the APP-V Management and Reporting databases? KB3031340 only references the Management Database, but I suspect it is required for both.

It should only apply to Management Database. There weren't any changes to the Reporting DB AFAIK.

Cisco Prime Infra 2.1 for Wireless and Wired Management

Hi All,
I've two CPI 2.1 physical appliances running in HA mode. Currently they are used to manage Wireless infrastructure.
Now, we are planning to buy licenses and add wired devices to CPI.
We've two separate teams. Team-A manages Wireless only and Team-B manages Wired infrastructure.
Both teams want their own Admin accounts to access CPI and they don't want to use shared credentials. If Team-A logsin with their Admin Account, they should see Cisco Prime Infrastructure dashboard and if Team-B logs in with their own Admin Account, they should see CiscoWorks LMS Dashbaord.
How can we achieve this? I can create user accounts and provide access to the CPI, but I'm not sure how to specify which dahsboard they will get access to.

You should consider merging team doing wired & wireless, it is difficult to manage these individually.
By any chance if you deploy 3850/3650, it is both WLC & Switch, so managing by two different teams does not make sense.

RADIUS Group SACL and OD Groups - Nevermind

I am attempting to limit RADIUS authentication/authorization to members of a group. In Services I select Only Allow Users and Groups Below and bring up the group selection window. This window only shows groups in /Local/Default. If I switch to Users it shows Users in /Local/Default and /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1.
When I limit authorization to /Local/Default/Groups/Staff, authorization proceeds normally. If I limit authorization to my "Wireless Access" group that I created in Workgroup Manager, authorization fails. The user in question is a member of both groups.
There appears to be a problem with rlm_opendirectory accessing OD groups.

I was very excited about your helpful blog and I was hoping that it was giving me the solution I need for quite a while now.
Unfortunately it won't work! I followed your step exactly and I came across a problem while saving the edquote file because my volume contains a space. So I change my volume name, re-created all my shares and started al over again.
The edquote file created for the specific group keeps saying there is 1Kb in used while users from that group have already written more to this volume. When I start up edquote -u (user) I see that there is indeed more data from this specific user on the volume but apparently it isn't registered by its group.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

Can Cisco Prime send a peer to peer connectivity report

I'm trying to discover if we have any peer to peer wireless clients (not ad-hoc WLANs) talking to each other. I was asked to turn off peer to peer on the wireless network, so I need to find out if there are any clients talking to one another, and if so, what are they, etc.
I've looked through the reports and didn't see anything there.
We have Cisco Prime 7.2, 5508 WLCs and MSE.

Replicate HR Organisation Management and reporting structure

We have setup the OM and reporting structure in our HR systems. How and in what way can we replicate the same set of data to another ERP client (in a different server)?
Is it via ALE ? What is the objects?

Hi Grace,
If you intend to transfer the org structure from SAP to SAP, the most effective method is to use ALE:
- You will need to configure the partner profiles of the two systems
- Use the transaction PFAL for a one time initial load
- Set up change pointers for message type HRMD_A
- Run background jobs each night to update the delta changes if you want to keep both systems in sycn.

Change Management and Target Group in STMS

Hello, We use the Change Management (SolMan 4.0). Up to now it works fine. We deliver always one client in the System (E33.002; T33.002 and P33.002). Now we try to change this. We will deliver more than one client in every system at the same time (to have always the same status in every client). So we use Target groups in STMS. This works fine if I do the transports manualy. But if I try to do it with the change management it doesn't work. The change management still deliver one client (002).
Can someone give me a hint?

Creating a query with group function and non group function

Could anyone help me with creating a query that contain single row function and multiple row function in Report6i.
what i want to do basically is to create a query that will display sum of certain columns according to a column in that table

You can either calculate a sum yourself, or let Reports do it for you.
1. select sum(column) from table where ....
This will just display the sum, not the records.
2. Make a query: select column from table where ...
Create a summary field. You can do it manually or with the report wizard.
That will create a report like this:
   Column
       10
       20
       15
   ======
Sum    45
