Cisco Professional Configuration Issue with SG 500 52P
I have a new SG500-52P switch installed for a small business and am upgrading to a Cisco 2910 router this weekend. I am trying to view the new switch on CCPE but it keeps saying that the device is undiscoverable. I have HTTP and HTTPS enabled on the switch. Is this switch able to be used with CCPE? It is not a requirement because the web interface does work when I manually log on to the switch, but I was wanting to use CCPE for the router and switch if possible.
hi have you made sure that you have trunked for all vlans on your trunk links as i had a similar issue because i only trunked for one vlan on the link thinking that it would trunk for all by putting the link into trunk mode?

Configuration Issue with my Cisco 871 Router
Hi all,
I am a newbie to the Cisco IOS.
I got a Cisco 871 Router that I'd like to use for internet connection. My LAN network is 192.168.1.0/24 and the ISP has assigned us the IP 41.212.79.108/24 and gateway 41.212.79.1.
With my current configuration, I can hit the router - 192.168.1.1 - and it's WAN port - 41.212.79.108 - but not the gateway.
Below is my current config:

I'll appreciate any light you can shed on what am missing.2 wireless routers can not communicate wirelessly with each other.
You need to connect cable between 2 routers and use the second wireless router as access point.
Follow this link to connect Linksys router to another router.
Some of your devices are getting same IP address. This might be the issue with DHCP server of the router. You can try DHCP reservation on the router so that each device will get unique IP address. -
Cisco RV220W + ProtectLink Issues with Netflix Instant on Samsung Device
I am trying ProtectLink product on my RV220W router. I am having issues with Netflix Instant on a Samsung DVD player and internet features on a Samsung TV (Youtube, Pandora, Flickr, etc.). I am quite certain the issues started after I installed ProtectLink on my router.
I have added the IP address of both devices to "Approved Client" list.
Overflow Control is set to "Temporarily block URL requests", and Web Reputation is enabled set to "medium" (Blocks most Web threats).
URL filtering is also enabled for some categories.
Please let me know if I have misconfigured ProtectLink.
Thanks. We have ProtectLink Web configured the exact same as you.
Under URL Filtering we have everything checked under 'Harmful' except for 'Web Advertisements'. Enabling the filtering of 'Web Advertisements' caused us some issues with some sites. That was unfortunate because we really liked the able to filter that content.
We have no other filtering enabled.
We haven't run into any issues at all once we unchecked 'Web Advertisements'. As a matter of fact, we have found that ProtectLink Web does such a good job that none of our IPS signatures are triggered. ProtectLink filters out the garbage before it gets to that layer.
If you can't tell, we are EXTREMELY pleased with Trend Micro's ProtectLink Web funtionality. We do not use the Gateway or End Point functionality. And we don't plan to any time soon.
We have a SA540 whereas you have an RV220W. From your post above, it seems that the functionality is implemented the same in both devices.
We purchased the 3-year license for ProtectLink Web from www dot provantage dot com. We buy most of our Cisco stuff from them because their prices are great and we have had nothing but good experiences from them (although I think we bought our 3 year support contract for our SA540 from CDW).
I am not sure why you are running into issues with your devices. We have 40+ devices that connect to our network on any given day. The devices include things such as Mac and Windows laptops, Windows workstations running XP and 7 (Ultimate 32-bit and 64-bit), tablets (Xooms, iPads, etc.), smart phones (iPhones, etc.), Samsung TVs, Denon AVRs, D-Link security cameras, even some game consoles (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360). I could go on and on. Our SA540 never skips a beat. It's solid as a rock. -
HFM 11.1.2.3 Configuration - Issue with Consolidation Administration
Hi,
This is regarding a new/fresh installation EPM 11.1.2.3 and have an issue with configuration on HFM; the deployment is distributed as below
1) Server 1 : Foundation,WebLogic Admin(/OHS) - Workspace/Shared Services/Planning/Calc Manager/EAS/APS
2) Server 2: Essbase
3) Server 3 : EPMA/HSF/HFM(FDMee/DRM-Yet, to be installed and configured) - Hadnt used these products and this is totally new to me.
We have issues with HFM - and while opening the Consolidation Administration.
We get an error as below, in workspace
An unexpected error has occured.Check server log or contact your system administrator for more information.
The web app logs suggested below errors- This is only part of the error log
E:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\HFMWeb0\logs\oracle-adf.log
Part of log
oracle.adf.model.adapter.DataControlFactoryImpl] [SRC_METHOD: createSession] Exception: [[
oracle.adf.model.adapter.AdapterException: DCA-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.epm.fm.common.exception.HFMException, msg=There is no registered cluster or server
I hadnt configured 'Configure Cluster' during the HFM configuration; this was a mistake being new to HFM.
On a further readup online on OTN etc, found that an application cluster is a must have on HFM, even if it is for one server.
Have one confusion now for fixing this,
Do a configuration only for 'Configure Cluster', and restart services to fix this issue
or
Do a configuration for 'Configure Cluster'and then again re-Configure HFM components
Configure > Financial Management — Configure Cluster
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Configure Application Server
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Configure Web Server
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Configure Web Application
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Enable Smart View Provider
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Enable Life Cycle Management Provider
Re-Configure > Financial Management — Enable Web ServicesGot help from Oracle Support, and this problem is now resolved. The HFM app server was configured fine, earlier.
Had to follow below steps on the EPM configurator.
Stop Services
HFM - Configure Cluster
HFM - Configure Web Server
HFM - Deploy to App Server
Foundation - Configure Web Server.
Start Services
Refresh workspace -
Configuration issue with Response processor

Thought i'd provide an update on my status.
The unix team came back to us saying that IMAP server is NOT installed in these environments at all.
So i little research on my part brought me across
How To Configure The Workflow Java Mailer Without An IMAP Account (Assumes No Inbound Processing) [ID 268274.1]
Using the above metalink note above i configured and started the mailers and everything is running fine as expected.
So thanks again for the help guys.
However before i started the mailers i had around a million messages in ready state under the queue WF_DEFFERED,
after the mailers were started this number gradually came down but is now stuck at 3000.
Now i am just wondering why these 3000 messages didnt clear up like the rest.
Another thing that i noticed is that agent listener
"Workflow Deferred Agent Listener" has a system deactivated status because of 'Maximum number of errors occured'
however i could not understand what were the errors that occured maximum number of times.
The following is from 'Workflow Deferred Agent Listener' log

Apple Configurator issue with iPad Air
I am using Apple configurator 1.5 to deploy iPad 2 with 4G and without and iPad Airs with 4G.
I created backups of each model and I’m only having an issue with the iPad Airs. I get an error “ unable to activate ”. Apple configurator will update the devices to the newest OS and reset the iPads but it won’t apply any settings from the backup.
Any help would be great.Sorry for the confusion, I have one backup for each model. The iPad Airs are able to use cellular data but they are not going to be activated with the carrier ( Verizon ). We are only using them with WiFi. The issues is Apple Configurator stops working as soon as it tries to activate and won’t push the backup. Apple Configurator is only able to resetting and updating the OS. This only happen with the Airs, I use the same process with iPad 2 with cellular data, not activated with the carrier ( Verizon ) no issues. I don’t currently have an iPad Air but remember it was error 2 “ unable to activate ”.

Cookie stickiness configuration issue with Cisco ACE
Hi,
We have configured a ACE (in standby mode) with ip netmask stickiness and wanted to configure cookie stickiness for a remedy server placed behind the ace. BMC has said that they use JSESSIONID field on the remedy application and i want to know the procedure for configuring ace to see this field and deploy cookie stickiness feature on the ace.
We tried configuring the ace to learn the cookie string dynamically and tried to insert the cookie in the server response to the client but both methods have failed and the user is not able to see the remedy app webpage in both occassions.
Are there any pre-requisites to be configured on the ace before configuring cookie stickiness feature? We would appreciate your timely response.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
Refer the document below for sample configuration. If this still doesn't work a full config and sniffer capture required to verify this.

SPA9000 Configuration Issue with FXS Port(s)
Successfully configured SPA9000 PBX with two VoIP providers setting Voice->Line 1/2 parameters. One phone set is connected to FXS 1 (or FXS 2) port and able to chose the proper VoIP provider when making outbound calls.
Issue is that once outbound call is established, SPA9000 is not responding to additional numbers dialled for called party extension number. Same issue when dialling a number where voice prompt answers the call offering selection of activities to be chosen by dialling specific number. None of the entered selection works as nothing is entered on the dial.

Php configuration issue with libmysqlclient
Hi ,
I am getting below issue while configuring php 5.3.3 with below command
./configure --with-apxs2=/local/apps/rxapi/apache/bin/apxs --with-openssl --with-mysql=/opt/mysql/mysql --enable-dbase --with-libdir=lib/64 --prefix=/local/apps/rxapi/php5.5.3 --with-config-file-path=/local/apps/rxapi/php5.5.3 --disable-cgi --with-gd --with-zlib --with-gettext --with-gdbm
checking for MySQL support... yes
checking for specified location of the MySQL UNIX socket... no
configure: error: Cannot find libmysqlclient under /opt/mysql/mysql.
Note that the MySQL client library is not bundled anymore!Unless you have a specific need to use libmysqlclient, then use PHP's mysqlnd driver instead. Configure PHP by using --with-mysql=mysqlnd. See MySQL :: MySQL 5.6 Reference Manual :: 22.9.5 MySQL Native Driver (Mysqlnd) and PHP: Mysqlnd - Manual
Also unless you really, really, really need the old insecure 'mysql' extension then use either mysqli or PDO_MYSQL instead. These can be configured with --with-mysqli=mysqlnd and --with-pdo-mysql=mysqlnd -
Apache2.2 Plugin configuration issue with Weblogic 9.2
Hi All,
We are trying to configure apache plugin for weblogic 9.2 (Apache Proxying for Weblogic) in Solaris Spark. When we are testing the httpd.conf configuration using apachectl configtest we are getting following error.
httpd: Syntax error on line 80 of /data/httpserv/apache-2.2.10/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /data/httpserv/apache-2.2.10/modules/mod_wl_22.so into server: ld.so.1: httpd: fatal: /data/httpserv/apache-2.2.10/modules/mod_wl_22.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
We were using the mod_wl_22.so file provided for Solaris/Spark in the link mentioned below.
http://download.oracle.com/otn/bea/weblogic/server103/server103_apacheplugins.zip
Apache 2.2.10 installation that we are using is a 64-bit version. It seems mod_wl_22.so provided in the above link for solaris/spark is a 32-bit version. Is it possible to get a 64bit version of this library?
Anybody has worked on same/similar kind of issues? Is there any workaround, for this?
Input/thoughts from anyone is highly appreciatedHello, I'm not an expert at confugring Apache and WebLogic servers. Hopefully someone else who does know what they are doing will reply to your question.
I found your question because I am also working on an Apache / WebLogic install for an Ariba installation (in Windows 7).
However I did support a configuration of WebLogic on Solaris with Apache. I remember that the guy who did the Apache install mentioned that Apache needed to be compiled correctly - below is what he sent:
Apache server compilation options:
./configure prefix=/usr/local/apache_2.0.63 enable-mods-shared=all enable-ssl=shared enable-ssl with-ssl=/usr/local/ssl enable-proxy enable-proxy-connect enable-proxy-http --with-mpm=worker
I am still looking into the differences between the plugins (mod 22 so vs mod 20 so). Navigating the Oracle download options can be bewildering. I found the link to download a full zip file of plugins (below).
Oracle WebLogic Server Web Server Plugins 1.1
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/wls-plugins-096117.html
I clicked on "all versions."
Does the WLSPlugin1.1-64bitApache2.2-solaris-sparc.zip contain what you need?
Great luck to you!

Work Manager Configuration Issue with SharePoint 2013
Hi,
We are facing issue to configure the Workflow Manager with SharePoint 2013.
===========================================================
Please provide any solution/inputs to resolve this issue.
Thanks.Hi ,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you configured Workflow Manager for SharePoint 2013.
For resolving your issue, please do as the followings:
1.Start -> Programs -> Workflow Manager 1.0 -> Workflow Manager Configuration -> Remove from Farm (not to be confused with SharePoint “farm”)
2.Drop SQL databases for Workflow Manager. (SbGatewayDatabase, SbManagementDB, SBMessageContainer01, WFInstanceManagementDB, WFManagementDB, WFResourceManagementDB)
3.Start-> Programs-> Workflow Manager 1.0 -> Workflow Manager Configuration -> Configure Workflow Manager with Default Settings (Recommended)
4.Ran the wizard just like before and it should be completed successfully this time.
More information, please refer to the link below:

I hope this helps.
Thanks,

System update configuration issue with local repository related to machine type
Hi,
Sorry if the issue has been posted earlier, i tried searching but cudnt find relevant post. Here is my issue:
My machine is Thinkpad R52. Type as printed on label is: 1858-CLG
While adding machine type in update retriever, I added machine type as 1858 (as it doesnt accept 1858CLG). After connecting to the support site, it downloaded all required updates onto a local(shared) repository.
I installed system update, configured it to pickup update from local (network) repository in the registry.
Now when I launch system update, it determines my machine type as 1858CLG & it connects to local repository only to display message as "No updates were found for this machine type"
Though I cud see updates if I directly connect to help center.
I think the problem is with machine type identification, not sure though.
Please advice on what I'm doing wrong. Is it with update retriever configuration or system update configuration.
Thanks much,Solution for me was to change status of packages from "Test" to "Active" using Update Retriever.
Since this is not documented in Best Practices (but is stated in chapter 5 - modify settings) I spent several hours figuring it out..

IP Configuration issue with Airport Extreme
When configuring my Airport Extreme to use the AT&T DSL internet connection, an IP Configuration conflict is reported. My IP address is shown as in use by the Ethernet ID - DHCP Server. As a consequence, the Airport is not reporting an IP address to allow an internet connection. Here is the actual message:
192.168.1.64 in use by d8:a2:5e:7a:6e:35, DHCP Server 192.168.1.254
Hard re-starting the AIrport Extreme does not shake this configuration error.
I am now connecting successfully to the internet with an ethernet connection to the AT&T modem.
Thanks.Check out this thread for some interesting items. The same instructions work for several users...but not another.
Re: AirPort Extreme Set Up Issue
AT&T wants this modem and router to work using DHCP - Bridge mode.
Not sure what you mean here.
This modem will not work correctly with an AirPort Extreme unless you put the modem in Bridge Mode or PPP is on the Router and then configure the AirPort Extreme to provide the PPPoE service.
I pulled out my old 2210 to test and confirm. Everything works just fine the way that AT&T recommends.
I think you will have nothing but headaches if you try to configure the modem for PPP is on the modem. Even if you can get the DHCP issues ironed out, a Double NAT error remains. -
Trunking Cisco CUCM 9.0 with UCS 500
In one of our branch offices use Cisco UCS-500 for local IP telephony and PRI. Now we would like to integrate this system to our main offices so that we dial all the 4-digit extensions.
Is it possible to trunk Cisco UCS 500 with CUCM 9.0. ?Hi
Seems you have codec negotiation problem when you are making calls from UCS to CUCM
. Can you post your UCS config here.
Maybe you have logging buffered enabled on your UCS as a result of which logs are not displayed on screen over telent session.

AirPort Express setup/configuration issues with FiOS
I just spent the last 6 hours trying to set up AirPort Express so I can play itunes wirelessly on my stereo system. I came across several issues—some that i overcame and others that i will certainly lose sleep over tonight. I started by connecting the AE to a LAN port on Verizon FiOS wireless router using an ethernet cable, then plugged AE into an outlet (i assume this is the only way AE can get a signal). I then went through the entire configuration process and got to the last screen which said something to the effect of "the settings have been successfully updated. you can close this window or wait for the AE to restart". after a few minutes of seeing "waiting for AE to restart", it timed out and i got an error message: an error occurred while reading the configuration, blah blah blah. the error was -6753, if that's any help. all night i've been resetting the AE with a paper clip and trying it over and over again to no avail. i'm pretty mac fluent, so this has been incredibly frustrating. any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. thank you!!
Not a network guru by any means, but do have some experience with AEs. Try connecting an ethernet cable from the AE directly to your mac to make the initial setup using the Airport Utility (double click the AE in the list to open the configuration; set the settings in each tab). Once your done, 'update' the settings and wait for the AE to show up again in your AE Setup assistant. Now you can unplug from mac and plug into your router.
As far as settings go. You can either 1) 'join a wireless network' (use existing login/pass from wireless network; no cables required), OR you can connect AE to router via ethernet and 2) 'create a wireless network' (and use this new wifi network for all communication including Airplay) or 3) wireless mode 'off' (only use AE for Airplay connected through the wired network). Lot of options.
