Cisco QM/Calabrio - server based recording - how many NICs?

I'm looking to replace a Verint system that is doing server-based recording with Call Mgr 4.1.3. We are going to upgrade to 7.1.x soon.
My customer is a CCX CAD/Citrix environment. I see that QM/Calabrio also supports server-based recording.
We have a number of subnets that we need to SPAN. I have a couple of questions:
1) How many recording NICs can be in one QM recording server? Verint can do 4 plus a management NIC.
2) How many recording servers can be supported? We also have a remote WAN location that needs a recording server.
3) Does QM require an MCS server to run, or will it install on general server hardware (we are an IBM shop and have the servers.)
Thanks.

Questions about Cisco Call recording and Quality Management or Workforce management should be posted
under the Contact Center Applications at https://www.myciscocommunity.com/community/partner/collaboration/contactcenter/apps
I am checking some of the details for question 1 & 2  and will respond to your questions in a few hours
for 3 The QM application can be deployed on MCS or MCS equivelent servers as determined by the partner/customer

  • Setting TileList height to Change Based on How Many Items Are Within It

In my app I have a tilelist populated by an array collection and I need it's height to change based on how many items are within it i.e. as new items are added to the array collection which populates it the tilelist will grow in height so that a scrollbar isn't necessary. Is there some sort of formula I can apply to the tilelist height property so that it expands in height as more items are added to it similar to the way a vbox would?

    Hi,
OK - you don't actually need to know how many items there are as javascript can create a collection for you and you can loop through that. In your example, each item will have a NAME attribute of "f02" - using document.getElementsByName("f02") will create a collection of all items that have this name and using a "for" loop, will allow you to examine every one.
One thing to note is that any INPUT item that is disabled or made read-only will not be included in the data when the page is submitted (this is a browser thing not an Apex one), so these items need to be re-enabled immediately prior to the submit action.
For an example of all of this, see my first post in: Re: A better method of handling tabular forms with variable column type?

  • SBS 2003 to Server 2013 migration - How many virtual Servers?

    Hi
I need to replace our SBS2003 - we are about 10 users. We use it for:
    AD
    File/Print
    Exchange
    SQL
    WSUS
    Subversion
    TrendMicro WFBS
Since there is no current follow up product I feel like I need to setup:
    Server 2012 R2
    Exchange 2013
    SQL Server 2012 Express
I found inconsistent information on how many virtual servers I will need. Is it correct that in contrast to SBS I must have multiple (virtual) servers?
What is best practice for this scenario (# of VM's, "what" goes best with "what", sizes ..)
Thanks a lot for your help .. I have a very good knowledge about the SBS2003 but unfortunately not about the later Standard Server Versions.

    Well.. best practice would suggest,
    1 VM - DC
    1 VM - Exchange
    1 VM - SQL
Reality though, suggests they may not be required.
What do you 'need'?, is a better question.
Can you move to hosted exchange?
You can certainly use the Hosted Trend Micro AV product which removes the requirement to run a console on your server.
Perhaps 2 VMs would be sufficient a DC, and a second to host your applications and WSUS.

  • SQLSvrStdCore 2014 SNGL MVL 2Lic CoreLic on a Single Processor Server (4 Cores) How many licenses needed ?

    Hi Guys...
I am abit confused with the latest SQL Server processor licensing and this Core Factor Table.
Am thinking of putting in a new SQL Server on a HP Server with a single
Intel® Xeon® E5-2407 v2 (4 core, 2.4 GHz, 10MB, 80W) Processor. How many of the (SQLSvrStdCore 2014 SNGL MVL 2Lic CoreLic) licenses would I need to purchase for the above Server ? Will not be virtualised.
Also with this license am I entitled to use SQL Server 2008r2 instead on this Server ?
    Thanks

    Hello,
Since the question is a license issue, you can call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific
Time) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist. You can also visit the following site for more information and support on licensing issues:

  • Sql Server 2012 Evaluation - How many connection allowed ?

    Hi all
I'm testing the replication, everything Works fine, but I'd like to know how many connections allow the evaluation of the SQL Server versión I'm testing on.
We are testing 2 stores with 2 server in replica with about 20 users in each side. So we can get an idea of the prices of the licences my customer have to buy.
    Thank you very much.
    James Smiths

SQL 2012 license usually is per core and/or per CAL and it depends on the edition.
All editions don't impose any limit on connections but rather on maximum memory, CPUs and other features.
You need first to decide which SQL version suits your needs (and your hardware) and then call for suggestions and prices.

  • UCCX7 Server based recording/monitoring

I have looked and looked and I can't find a single bit of documentation that has all the steps for setting this up?? Is there such a thing can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks!!

To let the UCCX server do all the recording do the following:
    1. Enable the 2nd NIC on the UCCX server.
    2. Setup a SPAN port on the switch that you will plug this 2nd NIC into and let the SPAN port monitor the voice VLAN.
    3. Plug in the 2nd NIC into the SPAN port.
    4. Run c:\program files\cisco\desktop\bin\postinstall.exe on the UCCX server.
    5. In the VoIP monitor service section Select the 2nd NIC from the dropdown when it asks which NIC should be used for monitoring and recording. Then apply and exit.
    6. Restart the VOIP Monitor Service.
    7. In the Desktop Administrator. Set the default VoIP Monitor server to the local UCCX server. (In V7 of UCCX this is done in the web browser desktop admin tool)
Recall that SPAN is local to the switch and/or layer 2 LAN that the switch is connected to. You may need to enable RSPAN if you have a layer 3 link. For best results, put the UCCX server and the agents are on the same layer 2 LAN / VLAN.

  • Which SQL Server Edition support how many sessions to the instance from SQL Management Studio on the client side

    Hi,
I'm looking for some help on the below query to verify which version of sql server edition supports multiple or N number of sessions to the SQL server Instance using the SQL Server Management Studio tool from the client side.
    SQL Standard Vs Enterprise.
your urgent help is much appreciated.

    Hello,
See Maximum Capacity Specifications for SQL Server =>
User connections = 32,767; and this value is independent of use SQL Server Version, edition or the used tools, like SSMS in your question

  • We use FMS Server 4.5,how many clients can connect one server (maximum number of connections)?

    As the title

    Jan,
I do not think that there is a forced limit for as long as your hardware can sustain.
It also probably depends from MQ vendor to vendor, and their JMS implementations.
In one of my apps 10,000 subscribers was the practical celing due to the memory limitations. (On Solaris 8, 2 GB shared memory)
In another that used open source JMS celing was much lower. due to its underlying EJB implementation (Linux).
I would suggest a clean box test. Benchmarking, stress and load testing you middleware is always a good idea. It will give you a good idea what your app can and can not do.

  • How many nics and vswitches

for each blade, we have 2 vnics assigned to the server. one vnic to fexA and one vnic to fexB.
then i create only 1 vswitch and assign both vnics to this vswitch.
then all port groups are under this one vswitch.
question is it better to create more vnics and more vswitches vs just 1 vswitch?

The best practice is to separate or classify the vswitches, like management servers related vswitch, app servers related vswitch, webservers related vswitch. This gives you idea which servers are connected to given vswitch and it also helps you migrate, if any to distributed switch.
    thank you,

How many query possible in 1 second at Sql Server 2012 ?
How many user can visit my web site ?

    Hello

How many query possible in 1 second at Sql Server 2008 ?
How many query possible in 1 second at Sql Server 2012 ?
How many user can visit my web site ?
That's hard to say. One second for CPU is quite high time and CPU can do lot of work in that time. again, this is relative and depends on what the query is.
The biggest bottleneck in performance is - Disk IO system. In general, if  the required data is in memory, it can help significantly in improving the performance.
Remember, CPU will be doing other processing work while it is fetching the data from disk.
What you need to is  - load test or stress your server. There are some tools available for you to do it.

    read this : http://www.brentozar.com/archive/2012/06/load-test-sqlserver/
You also need to look at Max worker thread limitations. this depends on the server configuration(64 bit/32 bit) and other factors...
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187024%28v=sql.105%29.aspx
one problem that can happend is thread pool starvation where there are too many connections
happening if your server cannot keep up with the workload.. like if your cpu is working in processing the queries and cannot accept new connections..
watch this good youtube video on thread pool starvatioin :

    No, but that's irrelevant.
"Multiplexing: Using Middleware, Transaction Servers, and Multitiered
    Architecture
Sometimes organizations develop network scenarios that use various forms
of hardware and/or software that reduce the number of devices or users
that directly access or use the software on a particular server, often
called "multiplexing" or "pooling" hardware or software.
*****Use of such multiplexing or pooling hardware and/or software does
not reduce the number of client access licenses (CALs) required to
access or use SQL Server software.*****
A CAL is required for each distinct device or user to the multiplexing
or pooling software or hardware front end. This remains true no matter
how many tiers of hardware or software exist between the server running
SQL Server and the client devices that ultimately use its data,
services, or functionality. An exception to this includes the manual
transfer of data from employee to employee. For example, if an employee
sends a Microsoft Excel version of a report to another employee, the
receiving employee does not require a CAL. An additional exception is
communication exclusively between the servers running SQL Server."

  • How Many SQL Licenses?

Our DBA needs to know how many SQL licenses to purchase.
Is that number based on how many users we think will be
accessing RH at one time...or is it just one license?
    Thanks
      Doug

    Hi Doug,
Unfortunately even I am not aware how SQL Server licensing works
What I can tell you is the you will need single user name and password account to access SQL Server from RoboHelp Server 8 for a single context and then number of concurrent database connections for that account depend on factors I explianed in my last mail.
I have a hunch you should need a single license as SQL Server supports a large number of concurrent connections for single user account. But again as I said, I am not sure on this and you would need to get this confirmed.

  • How many DNS record need to create in Internal & external DNS server for exchange?

    Hi friends,
I recently installed Exchange Server 2010 in my organization for testing purpose and I've register a pubic ip too for exchange server on godaddy.com. How many
internal & External DNS records reqired to configure on external & Internal dns server so my all feature like Auto-discover, Activ -sync,& webmail start working perfectly.
It's my first time configuring exchange for a organization.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pradeep Chaugule

    Hi,
Just as what ManU Philip said, you need to create
Autodiscovery.domaincom and mail.domain.com for external dns server.
Generally, you configure your Exchange Servers as DNS clients of your internal DNS server.
    Refer from:
