Cisco Qm version 8.5 ,Administrator login issue

I am using Cisco QM version 8.5 with uccx version 8.5(As per the compatibiltiy matrix).
However after doing the integration , I installed the Monitoring Administrator software in a windows xp PC and trying to login to the AQM server using the credential "administrator/Administrator" and password provided during the integration , But it is giving that thet "Error getting admin Password,Cannot validate admin password" .
Also when i installed the monitoring Administrator utility in the AQM server (base server), we are not able to see the installed application in the All program menu .
Is it not possible to install the monitoring Administrator application in the base serer and if it is possible then what is the procedure to run the software after it is successfully installed ..

Administrator Login & Issue with Weblogic Admin Server Console

I recently applied a PeopleTools patch to a test environment. I will be doing this to production soon, and as I was going through my screenshots of what I did in test, I ran across an area that may cause me an issue when I apply it to production.
There is a screen which prompts you for the administrator login and password for the weblogic domain. I wasn't sure of this when I did it in test, but in the PeopleTools install doc, it said the default is system/Passw0rd
This worked fine in test. However, the person who set this up in production may have used a different password. I don't want to get halfway through the patch and have to abort because I don't know the password.
I did some research and read there was a file with this info. I think it was boot.properties, but it was encrypted.
I then started the Weblogic Admin Server Console in test and was able to login with system/Passsw0rd so that verified a way of confirming the password in test.
I tried to do the same in production, but the Weblogic Admin Server Console page does not come up. The webserver is running, and if it wasn't, my phone would be ringing. Why does the console not come up?
However, the screen that comes up during the patch that prompts you for this asks you to enter your password, and re-enter it on the next line, so maybe its setting the password, not verifying that you know it. Is this true, I could make it whatever I want?
The WebLogicAdmin_weblogic.log file has not been updated in months. This may have been when we did the last upgrade.
Can you tell me how to determine/verify this password?

I'm not sure if there's an easy way to verify this. If I'm not mistaken you'll have batch file called startweblogicadmin.bat in the bin directory. You have to start this to get the administrator console running. It will be running on port :9999 by default if you haven't changed this.

BO EDGE 3.1 administration - login issue

We have recently configured BO edge 3.1. We installed the application on server A and the DB (application data not the reporting data) on server B. The problem arising today is our server B has creashed and not recoverable. then we are unable to login to the BO also. We have the DB BKP and we want it to restored to the server A itself. the problem is, where we need to change the login paths. earlier it connects to server B and now it is A itself. We highly appriciate if anyone respond to this tread ASAP. thanks

If you talking about restoring the system Database of the CMS on another Database server and point your CMS to it; that is certainly possible.
Restore the backup of your DB as you normally would on the new DB server.
After this you go into the Central configuration manager application on your XI server.
make sure SIA is stopped and right click on it to go into the properties
Go to configuration tab and click on the specify button to configure the CMS system database.
This is where you can point to whatever DB of your choice.

CF6.1: Administrator Login Failure - too many redirects

We a running CF 6.1 with a Commonspot content management system with IIS 6.0 as the web server. The CF Administrator login screen comes up and I am able to enter the password. Depending upon the browser various error messages (see below) appear that seem to indicate redirect issues between index.cfm and enter.cfm.
There are two IIS web sites (commonspot and Administration) which both have CFIDE in them. Renaming the "administrator" folder under either web site causes the CF admin page to be not found. I'm looking for any troubleshooting help. I think there is an issue between index.cfm and enter.cfm in the login process. The server is virtual so we can snap back the the original state if the new config fails.

This problem happens only on a Mac machine. So it is Safari 3.2.x and upwards( inc. safari 4.x) on Mac ( Tiger or Leopard ) that this problem exists. Older version of Safari work fine.. One interesteting datapoint being this problem occurs only when we access a partner application ( which uses plsql SSO SDK). This problem does not happen for OIDDAS or Portals!!!

Just follow below steps:
STEP-1:
1.Start the Config Tool C:\usr\sap\<SID>\<engine-instance>\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat
Ex: D:\usr\sap\F02\JC00\j2ee\configtool --> configtool.bat
2. "Switch to configuration mode" for that Click on "Pencil" icon;
3. Click on "Pencil" icon means "Swith to Configuration Edit mode" then say "YES"
4. cluster_data --> server --> cfg --> services -->
click on "Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service
select properties:
ume.superadmin.activated = True
ume.superadmin.password = <enter password >
then say "OK"
Click on "Pencial ICON.
5. Save & restart Java Engine.
STEP-2: Logon with SAP*
Login with "SAP*" into portal
1. http://<host>:<Port>/useradmin/index.jsp
2. Enter userid / password as" SAP* / <password ex: abc123>"
3. Search for "Administrator" user
4. Reset or change password for "Administrtor"
STEP-3: Disable "SAP*"

Login issue in IE8

I am relatively new to the OAM and Identity management. I have an application which does authentication using OAM. While log in IE8 only (no other browser or IE version), I get the following issues:
a) I intentionally enter wrong password once and get the error message. If now I enter correct log in credentials still I get the error message and despite my repeated attempts with correct credentials, I am not able to log in.
b) At times, even though I enter the correct credentials from start, I still get the error message of invalid username and password.

ASA5510 ASDM 6.0 GUI console login issue

I have Cisco5510 running with ADSM 6.0 version, I was able to access it fine since few months but suddenly I am unable to login through that.
Its prompting for username and password and loading it to 100% but not opening the GUI console.
I feel this could be the JAVA version issue but with the same version of JAVA I am able run another ASA 5520 which is running with 6.4ASDM version.
Request you to suggest the right JAVA version to run 5510 with ASDM 6.0 GUI console, else if I am wrong on this suggest the solution to close this issue.

Have you tried to update the ASDM? It is mostlikely a Java issue, but it would be a good idea to update the ASDM to the same version. We have noticed issues with old versions of ASDM running newer versions of Java.
Give it a try and let us know.

Login Issues: Win7, Skype 6.14

I've had login issues since just after I accepted a windows update last night. (no idea if that's just a coincidence?)
I've read thru several other posts here, tried re-installing skype several times (also re-installed an older version), checked compatability mode and still no joy. oh, I rebooted a few times too.
I'm trying to login using my skype username and password (I don't have a ms account) but the screen is just stuck there, it says signing in and the whirly thing (techy term lol) is just whirling round and round.
I luuuurv my skype, absolutely essential for me as I work from home, so I hope someone can help. Pleeeease

downloaded trillian too but that won't let me create an acount and just supplies error messages with no explanation to enable me to correct whatever the (well hidden) error is.
just think, i could be working in a cubicle instead of this high stress work from home life!
if skype access is my biggest stress i'm pretty sure I'm still happy doing what i do lol
added bonus - i'm often on the phone 3-4 hours a day so with no skype it's got very quiet here lol

If I am the sole user of my laptop why do I need an administrator login and pw to download OSXMaverick or Adobe Flash Player?

I was not going to download Maverick because I had heard many less than favorable reviews. However, I started running into issues yesterday and now am stuck. I went to upload some images to a FB album and received a message telling me that I would need to download Adobe Flash Player or otherwise i could only upload one image at a time. Then I went to view a friend's video and received the same message. I chatted with a few fellow mac users who suggested I download OSXMaverick. I started to and received a message telling me I needed an administrator login and pw. I used my Mac Id...no go. I am the sole user of this device and always have been. I have no recollection of running into any such issue when downloading OSXMountain Lion. Why gives?

You are not the filesystem owner outside of your login directory. By assigning administrator privileges, you are now authorized to install software (with a challenge for your login password, not your Apple ID) where you otherwise would not be permitted.

Fix for Facebook 3.0.0.15 login issues on OS5 devices...

I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 that runs OS5 and like many people, I was getting the "Facebook servers cannot be reached (0)" error after downloading the latest Facebook 3.0.0.15 upgrade.
I just got off a support call with RIM and here is the fix they gave me:
1. Uninstall Facebook and reboot the device
2. When done with step one, go to Blackberry App World but DO NOT go to My World or anywhere else!
3. Press and hold the <ALT> key and while holding it, type in the letters "rst". which clears the App World cache. Note that your on screen indication is that you are dumped out to the screen which you launched App World from, but the cache is cleared.
4. Restart App World and locate Facebook. On mine, it was right on the front page of "Featured Applications". When I opened the link, the version there was then the 2.0.0.58 level release of Facebook.
5. Install this 2.0.0.58 level release of Facebook and enjoy Facebook again.
The version 3.0.0.15 vesrion of Facebook apparently has issues with OS5 devices so in the future, DON'T install version 3.0.0.15 on these devices. Should Blackberry release a newer version, were it me anyway, I'd check the release notes BEFORE I installed it to make sure they have adressed this login issue specifically.
Hope this helps someone out there...I know it made my day and I learned how to clear the App World cache in the process!

I'm having the specific problem described here with the Facebook app. The device is a Curve 9360 with OS5. I followed the steps described and it did correctly remvoed the references to version 3.0.0.15 (which had been loaded). I know that the cache must have been cleared because when I tried to delete and re-install the app I would always see the "re-install" button and after clearing the cache as described it did not say re-install, but rather Download.
However, it is still finding the 3.0.0.15 version of the Facebook app, not the 2.0.0.58 (or any other previous version).
Is there another way that I can force it to install the older version or is there a way that I can get that older version directly rather than just letting the App World pick it for me.

Ciscoworks can use various mechanisms to discover the devices on your network.
The network administrator can discover the devices using different protocols, such as Cisco Discovery Protocol, BGP, OSPF, Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), HSRP, cluster, routing table, and ping sweep on IP range, that are activated at different layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model in the device.
It has a benefit when the devices on the network will not be better responsive to any other modules of Discovery.
Usually other module learn IP of the neigbour device with their data, like asking CDP neighbour details or OSPF Table. Whereas in Ping Sweep LMS will simply continue to check devices based on the IP Range.
Example, if you selected Ping Sweep On IP Range, you can specify the seed device as 10.77.209.209 and the subnet mask as 255.255.255.240. Entering a smaller subnet mask value may result in a longer discovery cycle, as discovery has to sweep IP addresses from more networks. It is recommended to enter a Class C mask instead of a Class A or B mask.
So using Ping Sweep helps you find your devices faster of it is failry simple network with simple range of IP's on devices, may be on a single subnet.

This login issue through BEx is keep repeating. Some times it will work and some times it will throu the above error. But, never had prob to login through GUI.

When do you receive this error. Do you get it also when you open Analyzer from Start menu?
Iam facing this error when i access BEx Analyzer from srat menu and then clik on connect button in Excel and provide login details and then finally facing this error.
Have you checked your frontend installation? Is it all right?
iam able to connect to the same system through login pad, so i think everything is ok with front end.
Iam not sure...weather i answered ur question or not.
The same error persists for 70 and 35 Analyzer as well?
i have only 7.01 environemnt, where iam facing this error. we dont have 35 analyzer.

Cold fusion 8 and Windows Server 2003 Administrator Login

I cannot seem to login to my coldfusion (trial version)
administrator login after installed successfully on my Windows
Server 2003 with Web Edition Service Pack 2.
It tries to go here which is correct
http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
But I get
Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)
I attempted to go through IIS through default Web Sites and
browsed over to
http://192.168.10.19/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
and I now get a "The page cannot be found" display message.
Is there anything special I need to do, perhaps in Web
Service Extentions in IIS or something since I don't see
"Coldfusion" mentioned anywhere, and I can't seem to find any clear
instructions on the Adobe site.

IIS for Coldfusion. Pay particular attention to the section "To
verify your IIS configuration".

Groupwise Login Issue

We are having a login issue to our Groupwise system. Regardless of client or webaccess no one can successfully login. I have shutdown services, restarted servers, etc. The message we are all getting is "Please login again. You may have typed your name or password incorrectly. Remember that passwords are case sensitive."
In doing some research I came across this TID Error: LDAP SSL key file not found [D078] User:user1 (user1) It talks about the Trusted Root Certificate possibly having a bad path. So, I tried to follow the resolution. However, I am not sure which of the items located at /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/lib/nldap/ is the Trusted Root Certificate. So, I copied libldapssl.so.0.0.0 and libldapssl.so to the /opt/novell/groupwise/agents/bin and issued rcgrpwise stop/start
Do you think this is the correct TID for this issue? If so, is one of the these files the actual one I need to copy instead of the two I mentioned earlier? The other items listed in the nldap folder are: libldapsdk.so, libldapsdk.so.0.0.0, libldapx.so, and libldapx.so.0.0.0
Our current setup version is Groupwise 8.0.2-92377 on a SLES 10 server.

If you have an iBook G4, (PPC) you can't do much.
But if that is a MacBook (intel) you may be able to
upgrade the OS X, if the hardware is up to it...
Since there were about nine different build models
of MacBook (not powerpc iBook) to identify what
one you have would be the first step to knowing
what OS X and RAM upgrades it could use.
If the computer is not already at OS X 10.6.8,
it can't go online to get or use OS X 10.7.5. So,
when you more accurately describe the 'Book,

When you find the serial number, there is a web
