Cisco RV220W + ProtectLink Issues with Netflix Instant on Samsung Device

I am trying ProtectLink product on my RV220W router. I am having issues with Netflix Instant on a Samsung DVD player and internet features on a Samsung TV (Youtube, Pandora, Flickr, etc.). I am quite certain the issues started after I installed ProtectLink on my router.
I have added the IP address of both devices to "Approved Client" list.
Overflow Control is set to "Temporarily block URL requests", and Web Reputation is enabled set to "medium" (Blocks most Web threats).
URL filtering is also enabled for some categories.
Please let me know if I have misconfigured ProtectLink.

We have ProtectLink Web configured the exact same as you.
Under URL Filtering we have everything checked under 'Harmful' except for 'Web Advertisements'. Enabling the filtering of 'Web Advertisements' caused us some issues with some sites. That was unfortunate because we really liked the able to filter that content.
We have no other filtering enabled.
We haven't run into any issues at all once we unchecked 'Web Advertisements'. As a matter of fact, we have found that ProtectLink Web does such a good job that none of our IPS signatures are triggered. ProtectLink filters out the garbage before it gets to that layer.
If you can't tell, we are EXTREMELY pleased with Trend Micro's ProtectLink Web funtionality. We do not use the Gateway or End Point functionality. And we don't plan to any time soon.
We have a SA540 whereas you have an RV220W. From your post above, it seems that the functionality is implemented the same in both devices.
We purchased the 3-year license for ProtectLink Web from www dot provantage dot com. We buy most of our Cisco stuff from them because their prices are great and we have had nothing but good experiences from them (although I think we bought our 3 year support contract for our SA540 from CDW).
I am not sure why you are running into issues with your devices. We have 40+ devices that connect to our network on any given day. The devices include things such as Mac and Windows laptops, Windows workstations running XP and 7 (Ultimate 32-bit and 64-bit), tablets (Xooms, iPads, etc.), smart phones (iPhones, etc.), Samsung TVs, Denon AVRs, D-Link security cameras, even some game consoles (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360). I could go on and on. Our SA540 never skips a beat. It's solid as a rock.

Try this:
Go to System Preferences - Bluetooth. Delete the keyboard from the list of devices by pressing the "-" button. Take the batteries out of the keyboard and reinsert them. In Bluetooth Preferences press the '+" button to add the new device. If the keyboard begins to pair, click the word "pair" and type in the passcode. Press return. The keyboard is now paired.
If the mouse is not pairing, try this: shut down the computer completely, unplug any USB mice, then turn off the power to the bluetooth mouse. ONce the computer starts up again, wait for the pop-up looking for a mouse. Turn on the power to the bluetooth mouse. It should work normally now.

Apple TV started having streaming issues with Netflix

Several days ago my Apple TV is no longer providing consistent streaming throught Netflix. Before that, I had great streaming through all content for many months.
Issues, configuration and some actions already taken:
Video quality starts suffering, then some pauses/buffering begins.
I have tried the same Netflix account, content and network to trace the issue and found out through my Macbook Air and iPad and the streaming is excellent.
My Apple TV is connected to my ISP through an Ethernet cable at 200 Mbps (tested @ Speedtest.net)
I already restarted several times, and restored once my Apple TV.
Software is updated since it became available.
Yesterday, I found a post which recommended to manually setup my DNS to 008.008.008.008 which I did and worked great at that time, but todays problems are back with that fixed DNS and with Auto setup.
I hove someone here can help me with some further advice, or perhaps Apple very soon releases a fix. Seems that the latest update improved Airplay consistency to deliver both video and audio and not only video, but might have broken Netflix streaming.

Yes, I'm having the exact same issue since the latest update. I thought it was my internet connection but it worked perfectly fine in my ipad and macbook air.
I also have 2 Apple TV's and the problem is in both of them. I really hope apple fixes this issue ASAP.
In the meantime, if you wanna watch your netflix content on your apple tv with good streaming and you have an iPad/iPhone with netflix on it. I recommend Airplay mirroring the iOS device and then opening netflix, it will airplay the video content and the iphone/ipad screen will function as a remote control with all the settings and stuff...its kinda cool...the only bad thing is that you can't turn off the iPad/iPhone screen or it will pause the movie.

Yes I tried cycling the power on all devices including the router and modem.

Deployment issue: compatiblity issue with ODP, instant vs full client on PC

After a lot of deployment issues with full client, we thought we had the solution with Instant Client.
It worked great for a while, but now some of our users have full Oracle 11 client installed after installing our Instant Client because of other software that requires full client.
As soon as they install full client, our Instant Client breaks:
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib)
The type initializer for 'Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleClientFactory' threw an exception.
The provider is not compatible with the version of Oracle client (Oracle Data Provider for .NET)
Our instant client is compiled with 2.111.6.20, the client is installing a different version (though I tried installing exactly same version does not seem to work either)
I've been experimenting to redirect the version to another assembly but no success.
How can I make Instant Client and Full client co-exist? The whole idea of using Instant was to be independent of other software who needs ODP.NET...
What do you do when 2 apps need different versions of ORacle ODP.NET (e.g. 2.111.6.0 vs. 2.112.1.0)?
Note that I don't have source code access to "our" app, so if it is at all possible through configuration, that is a prefered solution.
I also don't control our customers deployment strategy, they roll out apps over 1000's of PC's

Apple tv streaming issues with netflix

Can anyone help ?
I have also used my apple tv for using my netflix streaming, for some reason i can access all the movies but when i click to watch them it states an error has occurred. I have now started using my wii u to access netflix and i have no issues. I havent changed any settings on my apple tv.

My netflix freezes when i select a movie and when the pop up comes up it doesnt show a description of the movie wont let me push the play button or exit out of that pop up. Anyone else having this issue. Netflix said theycant help. Also on a side note netflix works on my apple tv and my laptop it is just on my ipad air. Thanks in advance for any help that can begiven

Try this: (If you have not already)
Close the app all the way down (Double click home button and then swipe the app icon up and off tghe screen)
Restart the ipad
Lauch netflix app
Is it a specific movie or all?

Issue with Lion OSX and Samsung HDTV

Hi everyone,
I have a problem while connecting my Samsung HDTV model LNT3242HX with my Mac ever since I upgraded to Lion (I was previously on Snow Leopard).
I'm using a Macbook 2.13 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo (Mid 2009).
I use the Mini DVI to VGA cable and I hook it up with my TV. The thing is, with Lion, when I connect my TV, it doesn't fit the whole TV screen. There's about an inch to the left and the right where the screen stays dark. I did not have this problem with Snow Leopard.
When I check in my display preferences, my resolution is set to 1360x768 , however it says Usable Resolution 1280x768...And there's no way to change the refresh rate to anything else besides 60 hertz....
I don't really know if anyone can help? As it used to work just fine before, I assume there must be some kind of glitch between OSX Lion and my HDTV. I tried hooking it up to my other LG HDTV, and there is no problem, it's just with my Samsung TV.

I have the exact same problem except mine is a 52 inch tv and there is at least 6 inches on either side plus 3+ inches on teh top and bottom. Wasnt an issue with Snow Leopard. I read somewhere that I may need to buy a $100 adapter instead of using the DVI to VGI cable. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I use this setup when I telework and the screen resolution is too small to be useful now.

Cisco Professional Configuration Issue with SG 500 52P

I have a new SG500-52P switch installed for a small business and am upgrading to a Cisco 2910 router this weekend. I am trying to view the new switch on CCPE but it keeps saying that the device is undiscoverable. I have HTTP and HTTPS enabled on the switch. Is this switch able to be used with CCPE? It is not a requirement because the web interface does work when I manually log on to the switch, but I was wanting to use CCPE for the router and switch if possible.

I have a severe audio issue with netflix

It's a loud stuttering sound glitch that cripples most of the TV shows and movies I try to watch on my ATV.
The audio on a few anime series I've tried works perfectly, but everything else I've tried to play has resulted in this. I've checked a lot of forums, but I can't find anyone else with the issue. http://youtu.be/rH6uX7yVpPY

I've tried unplugging and plugging everything back in, I've tried resetting the apple tv and updating the software and nothing has worked. I originally thought that it may have been my HDMI to VGA adapter w/ audio jack, but if that's the case, then why does the audio for airplay mirroring, iTunes, music, youtube, and SOME netflix content work perfectly fine? It doesn't seem to add up. I've tested the same video on all my other devices and the sound only does this on the ATV.

Yeah, Plugging it into a TV made Psycho-Pass audio work. I don't understand though, why the audio worked for some media and not others, and why it only effected netflix? Could you maybe point me to an HDMI to VGA Adapter w/ audio separator that I can use instead? I had it set up that way so that #1 I could listen to music without turning on a tv and #2 so that I could plug it into my projector which lacks an HDMI port.

IPad HDMI converter video issue with Amazon Instant Video

I bought the HDMI converter for my latest iPad. I can see everything on my TV screen except when using Amazon Instant Video, then only the sound works. Is this a DRM issue or something else ?

It is up to the app developer whether they allow video out from the app.
Hbo, amazon, etc do not allow it due to copyright and licensing issues.

Issue with Netflix streaming f

I used to stream Netflix on my ipad while it was connect via HDMI cable to the tv. Now all of a sudden I get the message that the connected display is not supported and it won't play on the tv at all. Any idea how to fix this?

Netflix and other streaming sources will not stream from an iPad using IOS 7 via an HDMI cable to to a non Apple TV. The OS doesn't recognise the Non Apple TV and so will not show the control for turning off mirroring. The Netflix fix is to turn off "airplay mirroring" .....which of course you cannot do because you are not "airplay mirroring" !!!! Anybody got any ideas? Netflix say it's an Apple IOS glitch and Apple probably say the reverse. Apple should have realised that airplay mirroring should be turn offable even if one device does not see another Apple device.

Having issues with custom master pages and device channels

I'm working in Sharepoint 2013 and am attempting to create a custom master page that is to be used by mobile devices. I have created an html file and a custom css file that includes snippets from the design manager. The file appears to preview fine in a
browser from Microsoft Web Expression. I have loaded the html file into sharepoint via design manager, so the master file is there as well. The css files are in the style library for the site collection and I have created a device channel including user agent
strings for iphones going back to the iPhone 4 and operating systems going back to iOS 6. I have obviously assigned my custom "mobile" master for that device channel and I have turned off mobile browsing. However when I open the site on my phone
it shows the normal full desktop view and not my custom master. I will include my html code, my css and a screenshot of my device channel below. Please help!

The issue is likely not your HTML Master Page but your user agent string. Try a user agent string of just "iphone". To test your master page, you could also set the user agent to "MSIE", which should cause this master page to load for
any version of IE. This will help you debug the master page as well in your normal browser.

Issue with layout on tablet size devices

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me why when the window size is reduced down or is opened on a tablet size device, that the 'maindiv' moves to the bottom of the page. I have tried changing, margins, widths, max-widths but nothing seems to work. It seems to me that the div is too wide to fit in between the 2 gold bars and this only happen when 'overflow:scroll;' comes into play when it reaches the media queries 768px. For all other sizes it works fine. This is the bit that i think is the problem, but then again i could be wrong!

What if you just remove 'overflow:scroll'?
When i remove the overflow the page works but i have used this div for most of the pages throughout this site. By removing that attribute will work for this page as it only has a small amount of content but for the pages with a lot more content i will need to apply the overflow:scroll; to make the page work?
Try setting .maindiv to max-width: 95%; in the media query, see if that gets around the problem.
This didint work, all it did do was apply a scroll bar part way across page.

Issues with MW600 switch between paired devices

Hi, I've got an MW600.
When paring then connecting it to my phone (N95 8GB) it just works fine.
When pairing then connecting it to my lenovo laptop it just works fine.
But the switch of the MW600 between both of my devices is simply not working. When connected to my phone, it switches sound to the laptop but not the microphone;
When connected to the Laptop, it's even worst: it does not switch at all to my phone.
The only solution I've got found is to pair again to the one I want to switch to. Which is unacceptable, as thi switch function has been sold as the differentiator vs many other BT stereo earphones.
Can anybody for SonyEricsson help?

I think what you would have to push and hold the call key on the headset to switch between devices that uses microphone. The use the volume key to select device.
I you like to switch between media devices you press and hold the play key.
