CISCO RV320

How can I configure a CISCO RV320 to make of use of 5 IPs assigned from my ISP. I want to be able to use Network Port Address Translation to host services and translate these to my private IP Address space. For example, public IP addresss to private IP Address on port 443.

Hola,

  • Cisco RV320 SSL Timeout

    Hi,
I try to connect my laptop to RV320 by VPN SSL connection.
Every 8-15 minuets i get session expired, even when I am working. I tried to increase "Login Time" field to 9999 but without success
The problem also occurs on other computers.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Thus you are modifying correct value. According related Cisco KB article the "Session Idle Time" value means "enter the time, in minutes, before the existing session terminates after the connection becomes idle".
    > i get session expired, even when I am working
Isn't your public IP address changed during your work? Changed client IP address (from VPN Router point of view) is considered as good reason for breaking VPN connection.
Have you tried to use different browser and try to reproduce with same results?

  • Bandwidth seems limited to 10M on Cisco RV320

Just installed a RV320 to a 50Mb downstream 5Mb upstream switch. With previous wireless routers I can get 30-50MB downstream speed and 5M upstream. The same happens when I connect directly to the switch. However when I try to access with the same computer through the RV320 I am throttled it seems to very close to 10Mb bandwidth. Connection from router to switch is 1000Mb, connection to the computer is 100Mb so this shouldn't be the problem. Bandwidth management is set to 6000 upstream and 60000 downstream. Any suggestions? Thanks. (firmware upgraded to latest)

It must be a configuration issue, or a faulty unit, as I'm getting 56Mbps down and 9Mbps with the RV320 here on my desk (should be put into production use later today) on a FTTC/VDSL line that we've had rated at 60Mbps down and 10Mbps up. I'm also running the latest firmware.

  • Cisco RV320 Load balance

    Dear all,
I have 2 ADSL routers (4MB and 2MB). Can anyone advice me to can I use the RV320 for load balancing (4+2=6MB)?. Also, please advice me how the other 2 ADSL router should be setup to support for this load balancing?
    Thank you,

    Hello phoutsavong,
To learn more about load balancing and how to configure the WAN Interface on the RV320, you can refer to the article, Dual WAN Configuration on RV320 and RV325 VPN Router Series. This article will help you configure the WAN Interface. To start, select Load Balance in the Router configuration Utility.
I hope this helps and if you have any additional questions please feel free to contact me.
    Sincerely,
    Kevin Yen

  • Cisco RV320 - Timeout problem

    Hi all,
I have purchased the product in the subject as I needed 2 WAN for the load balancing of 2 ADSL (at the moment only one active), before I used a NETGEAR with DD-WRT firmware.
Having gone through the wizard router set-up, I noticed random timeout issues popping up where even the router adminweb doesn't load (set on 192.168.2.1 without the various VPN as they wouldn't have allowed the set up of such IP.) With the NetGear I have never experienced such problems..
Do you have an idea of what it might be? Because it's practically useless in its current state.

  • Load Balancing on RV320

    Hi,
My Cisco RV320 router are not working like I want ...
I get two ISP in France, same tech. specs., sames bandwidth, but 2 differents way to connect.
The first WAN is connected in PPPoE with a ADSL2+ Modem
The second WAN is connected in Static IP with a modem/router
I set the load balancing Auto. but it seem that the WAN2 is more used than the WAN1...
For example, I upload a big documents, like a video on youtube, witch take a long time and need the max Bandwidth. While I'm going to download a file with an internal software, who use a different port by the way. The most of the time, it only use the WAN2 ... so my download is flanged ! It only donwload @~450KB/S when it can max @ ~1,8MO/S, and the WAN1 is not blinking ... And sometimes the balancing is good ... I can't understand the RV320 logic ? But Maybe is there a bug ? Maybe I get a bad configuration ?
    Have a clue ?
    Please help me !

So, you can hear the phone ringing and answer it? which means that SIP pakets are coming through WAN to LAN and well redirected to the phone IP, but you cannot hear after that, which means that there could be a problem with the RTP packets.
If you have problem only with the incoming calls and not the outgoing, than try enable/disable SIP ALG (Firewall). If that doesn't fix the issue, try to allow (or even forward) from WAN to LAN RDP -  UDP ports 16384-32767 to the phone IP.

  • RV320 "Service name should be different"

I purchased a Cisco RV320 last week and am trying to set up port forwarding on it.  I already have 5 rules enabled, and they all work.  However, whenever I try to add a new rule, I get the error "Service Name should be different!", which is undocumented anywhere.  If I try to delete an existing port forwarding rule, then I get the error "Critical failure.  Please contact support."  The router is running the latest firmware 1.1.1.06.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get port forwarding working again?  I would prefer to avoid a reset to defaults at all costs because the router is located 200 miles away and the people who I would have to talk to on the site to reconfigure it have nearly zero experience with networking.
Thanks for the help in advance.

    Hi,
Could you share more details about the configuration of the device. Is it possible that you configured the device with the port forwarding rules and after that you made firmware upgrade?
Also for the error message "Service Name should be different!", are you trying to use a service name which already exist? Because if it is the case, the name itself has a meaning only for the router itself, it is not shared over the network.
    Regards,
    Kremena

  • RV320 with NAT source from multiple subnets

    Hello,
I want to buy a router that will do NAT for multiple subnets, such as in the following configuration from Cisco IOS:
    interface FastEthernet0/0
     ip address 172.16.1.1/12
     ip nat inside
    interface FastEthernet0/1
     ip address a.b.c.d/29
     ip nat outside
    ip nat pool dsl-pool a.b.c.e a.b.c.f prefix-length 29
ip nat inside source list 20 pool dsl-pool overload
    access-list 20 permit 172.16.1.64 0.0.0.63
    access-list 20 permit 172.16.21.0 0.0.0.255
It is possible on Cisco RV320 device?
    Regars.

As you can see, everything is fine
Naturally take into consideration the fact that if you were to (for some reason) remove a "network-object" statement from some "object-group" then the operation of the "nat" would change even if you entered the removed "network-object" back. (unless you removed the last "network-object" inside the "object-group") This is because the order of the "network-object" inside the "object-group" would change. You would essentially have to recreate the "object-group" and "nat" configuration.
    Hope this helps

  • EasyVPN on RV320 + SSL-VPN + Mac IPSec

I just bought a Cisco RV320, and am trying to get it configured for providing VPN connectivity
Starting with the EasyVPN I have setup a full tunnel using the defaults, and it shows it created to the ip address 192.168.168.0/24 - which makes sense to me as that is the local LAN the device is connected to.
When I go the "Summary" page, it shows the Virtual IP Range as 172.16.100.100-100.129.
I've installed the EasyVPN client on my target (Windows) machine, I get a connect, and I am tunnelled through the VPN, I can get out to the internet, but I have no access to the 192.168.168.0/24 network which is the desired local LAN I want to connect to.
It would appear that I am missing a route from the virtual 172.16.100.0 network to the local LAN.  Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
As a backup, I tried setting up the SSL-VPN, and while I authenticate and connect, every time I try to launch the VirtualPassage get an error that the "Port is in use", and the adapter fails to install.
I also have a Mac that I want to use with this device.  The CD came with a client - vpnclient-darwin-4.9.01.0280-universal-k9.dmg - which installs, but gives an error saying it cannot talk to the VPN subsystem.
Is an EasyVPN an actual IPSec VPN, and will the native Mac Cisco IPSec VPN work as a client?
    My priorities are:
    1.  Get the EasyVPN working in full tunnel mode on my Win-7 x32, and be able to connect to the target 192.168.168.0 network.
    2.  Get the VPN going on my Macbook (running Mavericks)
    3.  Get the SSL VPN working.
If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.
One last question - the RV320 also allows the creation of a "Group VPN".  What is the difference between it and the EasyVPN?  It looks pretty similar except for the "Remote Client Domain Name" which can't be left empty.  The remote client will be multiple laptops: what would one put for a Domain Name?
The EasyVPN is just that, but if I want a real IPSec VPN with a "shared secret", and be compatible with the Mac, what is the best way to configure the RV320?
As an aside, I know the Mac Cisco IPSec client works as I use it to connect to my work VPN which is an enterprise level ASA device.
Thanks for any help you can give.

The short answer is , get rid of the RV320 and get a different router.
The RV320 VPN is buggy and Cisco apparently couldn't care less since the last firmware was released over 7 month ago.
I haven't been able to get mine to work consistently and found out that I'm not alone after searching the web for an answer.
You could give PPTP a try if you are not too concerned about security.
    Good luck.

  • WAN connection to 1 specific LAN RV320

    Hi,
I have one cisco RV320, I use 2 wan connections with different isp.
It is possible to go out just with one ISP to one of the 4 LAN ports ?
I need one specific LAN port to have internet connection just from a specific wan1 or wan 2, and the other lan ports to use load balancing feature.
    It is possible?
    Thanks

    Hello,
The RV320 has a feature called Protocol Binding that will allow you to link a single or a range of IP addresses on the LAN to use a specific WAN connection for an specific protocol.
Here is a document on how to configure such feature:
    http://sbkb.cisco.com/CiscoSB/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=d6c17b6ee53141f59ae03c6defeb20cb_Dual_WAN_Configuration_on_RV320_Router.xml&pid=2&respid=0&snid=4&dispid=0&cpage=search
If what you are intending to do is to force, lets say a range of IP addresses on the LAN to only use WAN 1 as the outbound connection for all the traffic, then you want to configure the protocol binding as follows:
    Service = Any
Source IP: Beginning of the range or single address
to: End of range or singe address
Destination IP: 0.0.0.0 (Anywhere on the internet)
to: 0.0.0.0 (Anywhere on the internet)
    Interface: WAN 1
Status: Mark the checkmark to enable it.
Please remember that you can Bind the protocols via IP addresses and no specific LAN ports.
    I hope this helps

  • RV320 VPN setup

Hello, I have Cisco RV320 dual WAN VPN router. I want to setup VPN connection to connect with my notebook remotely to my office network.
I have setup WAN1, SSL VPN with guide on youtube.com but I doesn´t work for me. My internet setup is for WAN1 IP 10.5.93.246, gateway 10.5.93.245, with DNS1 10.255.255.10  and DNS2 10.255.255.20. But my public IP is different for example 92.52.168.523.
I have done my setup exactly as in Cisco youtube guide, but it doesn´t work for me. When I try to open page https:\\92.52.168.523:10443 on my notebook I get error page not found.... But ping to my public IP adress (92.52.168.523) works fine
    What could be the problem?
    Thanks for your answer

    Hello,
The issue that you are describing means that your modem is working as a router providing private IP addresses to your router.
What is happening now is that your modem has the Public IP 92.52.168.523 and your router, which is the device that has all the settings, has a private IP address of 10.5.93.246 not reachable over the internet. When you try to go to HTTPS://92.52.168.523:10443, you are actually reaching the modem and no the router. Thats why it is not working.
What you need to do is to contact your ISP and ask them to "bridge" the modem so that when you look at the IP address of WAN 1 inside the router you will see the actual public address and not the private: 10.5.93.246.
    I hope this helps

In the GUI under smarport it keeps saying unknown and auto smart port disabled (i have it set to auto).
Does anyone have any idea why the SG300 doesnt recognise the RV320?

  • RV320 and Multilink PPP

Has anyone attempted to achieve something like this:
On the remote site, a Cisco RV320 Router, connecting to two DrayTek Vigor120 xDSL modems through the two Gigabit WAN ports, which connect to two xDSL links.
Ignoring the Core end of the xDSL (which I can make support Multilink PPP), has anyone ever imagined/tried/succeeded to run multilink PPP originating in the RV320 router or similar ( the LAC), transiting the two xDSL links and terminating on the LNS at the Core end of the xDSL link?
Sorry its a bit off the wall, I think I may be asking a lot to make this work, but you have to try!
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Bump!...anyone out there with ideas?
