Cisco SPA112 provisioning problem: FXS_Port_Power_Limit

Hi,
We have problems provisioning specific parameter in a SPA112: FXS_Port_Power_Limit. Here is a part of our XML:
<Force_G729a_Code ua="na">*02729</Force_G729a_Code>
<FXS_Port_Power_Limit ua="na">4</FXS_Port_Power_Limit>
<FXS_Port_Input_Gain ua="na">+2</FXS_Port_Input_Gain>
<FXS_Port_Output_Gain ua="na">+2</FXS_Port_Output_Gain>
The parameter "FXS_Port_Power_Limit" is not provisioning the XML parameter (in the example: 4). It keeps the default value (3). Other parameters in the same section like FXS_Port_Input_Gain and FXS_Port_Output_Gain gets the XML value correctly.
Thanks for your advice,
Alejandro.

I looked at the spc file for this model and don't see that parameter.

  • SPA112 Provisioning

    Dear User,
I have a problem with my SPA112 provisioning system.
I have set my dhcp server to push option 160 with the http url of my provisioning server ( http://DNS/provisioning/init.xml ). I have enabled the syslog server on SPA112 but i don't see nothing about resync.
I see GET on my apache webserver.
I don't understand why but my SPA don't reads configuration. I have also tried  http://spaip/admin/resync?http://DNS/provisioning/init.xml with the same result.
Maybe something wrong on my init.xml?
    My init.xml file:
    <flat-profile>
    <Resync_On_Reset> Yes
    </Resync_On_Reset>
    <Resync_Periodic> 7200
    </Resync_Periodic>
    <Profile_Rule ua="na">http://DNS/provisioning.php?model=SPA$PSN&mac=$MA</Profile_Rule>
    </flat-profile>
    My apache log:
    192.168.2.254 - - [09/Sep/2013:15:09:41 +0200] "GET /provisioning/init.txt HTTP/1.0" 200 502 "-" "Cisco/SPA112-1.3.1(003) (CCQAT)"
    (many times)

I see GET on my apache webserver.
    Yes7200
And this GET has been caused by resync. So I don't understand what you mean saying "my SPA don't reads configuration" The Apache log show that device did read the configuration according your wishes.
Your configuration order the phone to initiate next resync on reboot or every 7200 seconds.
But despite I don't fully understand your question - turn on log & debug messages and catch them. They should help you to solve a problem you have.

  • Cisco Prime Provisioning 10

    hi,
we are facing a problem with cisco prime provisioning 10, which is to add or update an endpoint without username. As we are working in a company with many users using one endpoint ( end point which is not associated to any user like help desk).

    Thanks Jamie
Wishful thinking I guess. It would have been seamless if they added that form of email notification to end users when auto provisioning. Anyways to get around that I used MS word mail merge and used the same spread sheet I used to batch provision the users to send the Self-service ID to the email contacts.

  • Funny time with CISCO SPA112

I have configured succesfully CIsco SPA112 - almost works, I just cannot change admin password.
I log in with default user pass: admin/admin
I go to adminsitration menu, but on the left nothing appears as in admin just link "quick setup" - and nothing related to "Adminsitration"
Any idea what is going on ?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hello Peter,
Have you tried using a different browser?  Most of the admin web pages work best in Internet Explorer or Firefox.  I know they sometimes have a lot of trouble displaying correctly in Chrome.
Because you are right, for the SPA112 user name and pasword changes are under Administration > Management > User List.
Hopefully that will make it show up for you, but if not let me know, and we will try something else.

  • SPA112 Provisioning - not working...

    Hi,
We just purchased an SPA112 unit for testing before a large deployment.
There's a working provisioning setup in place for SPA303 devices using DHCP option 66 with an https URL. The provisioning of SPA303 phones wokrs just fine, SPA112 on the other hand simply won't parse DHCP 66 option properly.
The relevant sniffer output of the SPA112 unit provisioning attemtp with the DHCP 66 URL is attached here, it was tested with firmware 1.0.x (out of box) and after upgrade to 1.2.1 (004).
The clear conclusion is - ATA tries to use the full provisioning URL as a hostname (?!?!) of the provisioning server and resolve it via DNS... e.g. a DNS query for A record of "https://prov.server.com/devconf.cfg" is sent to the DNS server. Protocol name and path to file are not stripped, the whole string is treated as a hostname.
Is this a bug or behavior by design (which is hard to believe)?

Yes, I know it. It's great resource. Despite of it, it's hard to found information even in the case the administrator knows what he are looking for.
The main problem is - the documentation is spreaded over so many separate documents, application notes, technical notes, semi-official information in this forum and other resources. In most case, there is lack of information related to particular feature implementations. I wqant to use example to explain what I'm mean.
Have you configured sd+blf+cp function ? Are you interested to know when the button press will invoke 'sd' and when 'cp' ? Do you want to know if sd+blf (but no cp) combination of functions is possible ? Need to use vid=  ? (where you can found such parameter like vid= exists at all  ?) No answers avaiable in Admin Guide and no way to deduce answers by self as there are no implementation details. No reference to other document (not counting the reference to document specific for Broadsoft server). Yes, there may or may not be other document with such detailed description. The unfortunate customer need to read many and many documents and - there may but may not be the one with required description in such list.
The paragraph above show the example of problem only. And note the English is not my native language, so if it sounds so strong, then it's not intentional. I'm not trying to yell "it's crap" in any way. I'm trying to explain, using my poor language skills, the problem with 'task oriented' style of Cisco's documentation. I hope this comment will not be misunderstood.
I'm wishing to see a information-oriented style of documentation. Such kind of documentation is matter of course in the case of Cisco's switches. Especially I'm calling for index of all configuration keywords, with list of all possible values and their meaning, index of SIP NOTIFY Event, list of DHCP options recognized by device (can be time offset set by DHCP instead of provisioning or manual configuration ?) and so on ...

  • ISE 1.1.3 provisioning problem for the first DOT1x connection

    Hello all,
I am wondering how a wired dot1x client can get the NAC agent downloaded for its very first connection from ISE ?
Should the Agent be installed before the first connection ?
I'have set up ISE 1.1.3 for provisioning (files have been downloaded from cisco website) (upgrade mandatory)
I have an AuthZ rule for a correct posture assessment
    and
another AuthZ rule for an unknown posture assessment that triggers a posture remediation (file download)
    (in that order)
NAC agent is properly configured ( FQDN...), the users gets and nothing happen !
    no NAC upgrade
    no NAC assessment.
    Any idea ?
Does it take a while for the new agent to be downloaded ?
    Best regards.
    V.

In order to troubleshoot the NAC agent problem, we need to check  couples of things.like
1.)Ensure that the discovery host address on the Cisco NAC agent or  Mac OS X agent is pointing to the Cisco ISE FQDN. (Right-click on the  NAC agent icon,
choose Properties, and check the discovery host.)
2.) Ensure that the access switch allows Swiss communication between  Cisco ISE and the end client machine. Limited access ACL applied for the  session should allow Swiss ports:
permit tcp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 8905 --> This is for posture
communication between NAC agent and ISE (Swiss ports)
permit udp any host 80.0.80.2 eq 8905 --> This is for posture
communication between NAC agent and ISE (Swiss ports)
    deny ip any any
3.)If the agent login dialog still does not appear, it could be a  certificate issue. Ensure that the certificate that is used for Swiss  communication on the end client is in the Cisco ISE certificate trusted  list.
4.) Ensure that the default gateway is reachable from the client  machine.
As per your confirmation, I am going to close the case for this specific  inquiry. We strive to provide you with excellent service. Please feel  free to reach out to me or any member of the SAC team if we can be of  any further assistance or if you have any other related questions in the  future. We value your input and look forward to serving you moving  forward.

  • Java not recognized by Cisco Self-Provisioning Portal on Apple computers

Have a Mac Mini running that had this problem under OSX 10.8 and is persisting in 10.9.  When this computers reaches the self-provisioning portal, after clicking submit on the MAC address registration, the following screen displays an erroneous error that Java isn't installed.
Have gone through updating Java from Apple (2013-005) as well as from Oracle/Java (1.7), and applied several variations of uninstalling and reinstalling Java, doesn't seem to make a difference.  From the top, the Mac Mini attaches to Wifi and the self-provisioning page appears with an authentication request.  User authenticates succesfully.  The next page displays the MAC address for the machine and a description field.  Upon filling out the description, the page is submitted.  The following page tha should complete the provisioning process, rather, displays an error that Java isn't installed and the user should go to java.com to complete the installation.  According to the Java.com, Java is installed. According to terminal (by executing the command "java -version"), Java is installed. Running other Java applications, like JDE, run perfectly well.  The self-provisioning page seems to be unaware of Java despite everything else.  Ideas?

Thanks. No dice. The instructions on that page also appear to be woefully out of date too. In Safari, on the preferences security tab, there is no checkbox for "Enable Java" (I think that is a Safari 6.0.4 thing on OS X 10.8 or thereabouts). In OS X 10.9 there's just the "allow plugins" checkbox and the "manage website settings" button. Assuming this is where it's at now, moving to the Java plugin in the list, they were already "allow". I went a step further and set it for the three websites listed (that include the provisioning portal domain) to "allow always". No luck. Then went to another step further and click "run in unsafe mode" for every item in the Java website list and again it made no difference. The self provisioning portal page still says that Java isn't installed :-(
For Firefox, the instructions on that page are out of date too. Under what I believe are the correct settings, the Java applet plug-in for 7.45 is set to "always activate". I assume this is the same thing as seeing the "disable" button in previous FF versions, indicating that the job applet plug-in is actively running.
The chrome instructions on the page are irrelevant because my OS X and hardware are 64-bit and so is Java but not chrome. Therefore Java doesn't run on chrome on this machine in the first place.
I don't know who's browser the self provisioning portal fires up since it fires up its own window, not a Firefox or Safari specific one. In windows for example the self-provisioning portal fires up a tab in IE. That actually makes it simpler to debug IMO.
Any more advice? Java seems to be running just fine for every thing else. What am I missing?
    UPDATE (Just another thought)
Alternatively, could it be a the with WebKit? Or Cisco's implementation of WebKit (as far as whether any changes would have been required for OS X 10.9 in the way with kids is instantiated)? If or example the self provisioning portal is opening up its own "browser" by using the Safari webkit function (as opposed to opening a tab directly in Safari itself) could this be a bug in Safari itself, or a changed API that Cisco has failed to implement (considering the other incompatibilities various Cisco products have with OS X 10.9)? I just hope that the problem is something that I can fix with a workaround rather than waiting for a patch from either Apple or Cisco that may or may not come anytime soon? :-/

  • Cisco IP phone problem with external directory http error

    Hi,
I have a problem when I try to open the directory on different model Cisco IP Phone for new deployment.
In CUCM (version 8.5) we have configured internal and external directory and on each device set the "service provisioning" to "both". For all the sites configured in CUCM this feature is working properly, but not in the new deployed site. I´ve already verified the url is written properly.
I get the following error messages for these different models:
    - Cisco IP phone 8945: "HTTP connection failed"
    - Cisco IP Comm: "HTTP error [500] "
    Thank you for your help,
    Regards,
    David Lozano

    Hi David,
What firmware are you using? Do you have 8945s on the other sites? I found a bug, but I'm not sure it applies to your description:
    CSCty58000 Bug Details
8945 freezes when directories is pressed
    Symptom:
8945 freezes when directories button is pressed.
    Conditions:
This issue happens when the phone load is 9.2.3 and the directories URL doesn't contain port number.
    Workaround:
Please use http://X.X.X.X:8080/ccmip/xmldirectory.jsp for the directories
    URL instead of http://X.X.X.X/ccmip/xmldirectory.jsp
You can try upgrading to firmware 9.3(1)

  • AT&T DSL & Cisco ASA 5505 Problems

Okay I have been working with a 5505 for two days and finally got it configured and working on an AT&T DSL Modem then when I took the 5505 to the clients office and connected/configured it to their AT&T DSL with their IPs the whole thing quite working. I noticed walk through the Tech discussions that there are lots of problems with AT&T DSL deployments and I also discovered that one working configuration was attached to a DSL in AT&Ts standard deployment as a DHCP router using dynamic IPs while the second is in bridge mode using static IPs.
So here's the question why won't the DSL Modem in bridge mode not work as a typical Internet connection like a Cable Modem? I have a Cisco Wireless VPN 4400 to it in bridge mode using static IPs and it works great and on the 4400 there are no special PPPoe settings that have to be set just standard IPs, DNSs, Gateways, Masks...
I see in the Cisco Tech Notes that it is recommended/mandatory to configure Vpdn groups and the Vlan2 to take into account the PPPoe configuration of the AT&T DSL Modem but if the DSL modem is already set in bridge mode and is handling the PPPoe authentication why does the 5505 have do it again this see,s redundant. Will try to use the example configuration additions above and post here with the results.
BTW the configuration with the DSL set as DHCP Router works without any special PPPoe configs.
Very puzzling this DSL configuration conundrum... Last point for businesses if you can use Cable or nonDSL ISP you should do so this AT&T stuff is for the birds... Angry Birds...
Thanks for the assistance in advance!!!

Hi Ferdinand. I don't know what a Smartnet contract is. How do I know if we have one? This ASA basically hasn't been touched for 5 years. Almost the entire staff has rotated through this company since then and nobody knowns anything. I found the invoice for it this morning after accounts searched for it, but it appears to have been purchased from a non services retailer. I contacted them and while they confirm they sold it to us they know nothing about it. They don't offer service.

If I understand your issue correctly, you are using User Registration and are unable to register your Cisco UC-520.
Please verify that the following settings are correct in your PBX:
    Proxy Server (primary): sip.skype.com
    Registrar Server: sip.skype.com
Digest Authentication:  SIP User (99051000XXX)& password from Skype Connect sip profile.
Note, if you cut and  paste the password, sometimes a space gets added to the field. If this happens registration will fail.
    Hope this helps.

  • CUCM 10 Self Provisioning Problem with TAGs on Universal Device Template

    Hi friends.
I've been provisioning IP Phone by Self Povisioning. The phones were provisioned almost perfectly. I notice the TAGs that i filed up on Device Template (look above), are not "translated" on Device Phone.
    Universal Device Template
The Tags on Universal Line Template comes  perfectly to Line Description.
Had you ever seen something like this?
    Kind Regards

Hi folks. I could identify the problem with Variable and TAG. In order to Self Provisioning works fine, we need to mark Owner User on Universal Device Template.
    Look that.
