Cisco TCL auto attendant without dial extension number

Hello, Im trying to use the TCL for auto attendant from the file its-Cisco.2.0.1.0.tcl but I need just the auto attendant prompt and not the extension number. At this moment I can do that but I listen two prompts (en_welcome.au and en_enter_destination.au) and I need just to listen the first one.

  • Can Lync 2013 work as IVR (auto-attendant ) for dialing Lync users?

    Hi All,
Can Lync 2013 works as IVR (Auto-attendant) for dialing lync users?
We want to migrate IVR from Nortel to Lync 2013. PSTN users call auto.attendant for dialing Lync users instead to dialing 1 for sales, etc?
    Regards
    José Osorio

    Hi,JOSE,
There are two types of Response group, one is IVR group and the other is hunt group,if you would like to route the callers to a special queue without asking any question then you can use the hunt group, otherwise you can use the IVR group.

I am trying to configure my CME if the auto attendant picks up and a users extension is dialed after hours to forward that call to the number configured for that extension, currently if the extension is dialed the call is not forwarded.

  • Cisco 2801 Auto Attendant

    hello
I have 2 Cisco 2801 running CME 4.3 and will be converter to SRST Routers, but they''ll have T1 card, because they used to has FXO card with 4 lines now they will have T1, but I wonder witch solution for auto attendant should I have for those routers especially the Unity Express.
    Thanks

Before switching to CM, think twice, because you will gain a lot of complications, consts, and loose nice features and flexibility if you do that.

  • UC560 Auto attendant calling fxs extension

    Hi,
I have an UC 560 with an autoattendant working fine, but when from the pstn need to call to an extension of a analog extension in a FXS port it says that is not a valid extension.
If i check the option: "Allow external transfers" for the autoattedant it works, but in the told fraud prevention practice don´t recommended.
Is required this option to allow the call to the fxs port direct from pstn or what can be wrong in configuration?
    Regards,

    Hello John,
The configuration for the fxs port is:
    voice-port 0/0/0
    station-id number 115
    caller-id enable
    dial-peer voice 1 pots
    corlist incoming user-local
    translation-profile incoming CallBlocking
    destination-pattern 115
    port 0/0/0
    no sip-register
If i assign a option in the autoattendant to call the extension this work, but i need to call directly to the extension
The prompt messages says: "if you know the extension number, please dial it"
In that moment if i call any sscp extension it works, but calling the extension of the fxs port says that is invalid
I did a test calling directly a hunt group extension with the same effect.
    To ilustrate:
    FXS extension: 115
    Hunt Group Extension: 170
    With no allowed external transfer:
Call to AA and dial 115 -> No works
Call to AA and dial 170 -> No works
Assign 1 number of AA to 115, and 2 number to 170
Call to AA and dial 1 -> works
Call to AA and dial 2 -> works
    With allowed external transfer:
Call to AA and dial 115 -> works
Call to AA and dial 170 -> works
Assign 1 number of AA to 115, and 2 number to 170
Call to AA and dial 1 -> works
Call to AA and dial 2 -> works
    I hope to be clear,
    Regards

  • Can you record an auto-attendant greeting from external phone on UC320

Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to record a new auto attendant greeting externally?  My customer would like someone to record their gretting for them remotely.  Is it possible?  Or, can we upload a pre-recorded .wav file into the system?

The 2.2.2 firmware release notes  contains the instructions to upload prerecorded auto attendant greetings:
    The pdf is located here:
    http://relnotes.ciscosbs.com/UC320W_rn_v2-2-2.pdf
Also from an external user can record an updating greeting by dialing into the UC320W and having the AA answer the call.  Then dial the Auto Attendant Prompt Recorder extension (default 398) and the user will be prompted to enter the assigned password. After authentication then the caller can record prompts and save and delete them.

  • Ability to dial an extension directly from dtmf Auto Attendent?

I think i know the answer but want to make sure there is no creative workaround I'm missing. ;-)
Is there anyway to get the ability to dial an extension (at any time) directly from dtmf Auto Attendent? (without pressing ##)
    http://windowspbx.blogspot.com

I can confirm on our Exchange UM setup, speech enabled AA's can accept DTMF inputs when the caller hits the auto-attendant. I think the only extra thing I had to do was create a dial rule group for our extensions and allow the auto attendant to utilze
that dial rule group: Name - Extensions Number mask - 5xxx Dialed number - 5xxx I then had to make sure the Lync front ends had appropriate normalization rules to normalize the 5xxx to the correct lineuri format (e.g.: 5xxx to +1309xxxxxx;ext=5xxx). Aside
from that, I can also confirm that this works even if the destination extension is NOT enabled on Lync or has an Exchange UM mailbox. In that case, the call gets forwarded outside the Lync environment to your gateway for routing to wherever the gateway route
    rules indicate it should go.Trevor

  • Call forward to external number which has auto attendant

    Hi
I am a voice administrator in my company
I want to forward all of my calls to my Other location's number.
Other location has only POTS line and to reach my extension user needs to go through Auto attendant menu.
Is it possible to enter a digit pattern in call forward destination in CUCM so that it can take care of Auto attendant menu of my Other location and land on my number?
    We have CUCM 8 running.
    Please help!!
    Ashwin

    Hello Ashwin,
"Other location has only POTS line and to reach my extension user needs to go through Auto attendant menu."
What type of phone system and voice mail is providing the auto attendant?
How are the POTS lines(analog only correct?) terminated into the phone system?

  • How to dial phone number with extension using phoneCallTask ?

    Hi,
Can we dial phone number with extension ?
I mean suppose if there is auto answering machine where we need to dial some extension number after the beep, can we provide it with phoneCallTask.PhoneNumber
property like we can do it in iphone ?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Anurag:
Unfortunately Window Phone doesnt provide the option to dial extension. But you can do it manually. After the call is made by clicking on Dial-er and manually inputting the extension.

  • Auto-dial extension in email on iPhone

I've seen how you can auto-dial extensions on the iPhone for contacts by inserting commas, etc. I'm trying to get the same functionality in appointments and emails. For example, for Blackberry users, I can type 866.252.0050 x1098022# and it will automatically dial the extension (or conf bridge ID) after the 866 number on queue from the user. I've tried 866.252.0050,,,1098022# and 866.252.0050pp1098022# in emails to the iPhone. It shows the entire string as dial-able (underlined and blue) and asks me if I want to dial it when I tap on it but then it doesn't do anything, just goes back to the email.
Here's the use case, we have people traveling all over the place and use conference bridges a lot. When they're walking, it is difficult to find something write the extension on. It would be much easier to provide them a way to automatically dial the extension.
Any suggestions or tips and tricks?

There is a great app to do this.
Dial My Meeting is an app that automatically extracts your conference call information from your meeting invitations, and dials them for you.  It has dialed over 50,000 numbers to date (July 2012) and is rated 5 stars in the App Store and Google Play.  This is a must-have app!
I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.

There are no alternative voicemail apps - the core functionality of the phone can not be replaced.
You'll have to look for an external service, that can then forward calls for each caller onto the correct phone.
At our business we use Voipfone.co.uk which allows multiple phone lines to come into one VOIP account.

  • Auto attendant intermittently routes call to out of region/not in dial plan UM server

    Hi all,
Exchange 2013 on prem, hardware not virtual. CU5 w/Lync 2013
I've got calls that get intermittently routed to UM servers that are out of region and not in the dial plan.  The out of region UM server sees the call is outside of business hours & sends helpdesk calls to voicemail instead of the appropriate phone
    menu.
Additionally, when Exchange admins who are in different time zones look at the GUI w/the AA's business hours they see a time skew even though the time displayed is listed as Eastern.  I think the mis-routing & the time zone skew are related.  When
the Tokyo server gets the call it checks the time: 3AM? Not in business hours even though in Eastern Time where the call is supposed to go, it is in business hours.
In the Lync client log (as seen via the snooper tool) this is the last message before the call gets transferred:
    “ms-diagnostics:
15032;reason="Re-directing request to the destination in 302”
Additionally the time zone on the AA schedule is set to Eastern Time.  Why is the TYO UM server ignoring this and applying local time?
Any tips to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.
    Adam

Number two was correct!  The affected site did not have an arbitration mailbox.  Details follow.
I still have the underlying problem of AA's getting the time zone of the UM server applied rather than the time zone they are allegedly set to (for example Beijing business hours served from a TYO UM server getting TYO time).
With the help of MS support we resolved the immediate problem: calls getting routed to our TYO site.
It turns out that every AD site with Exchange servers needs to have an arbitration mailbox with the grammar generator role set & ready.  If a site with UM servers does not have an arbitration mailbox it will proxy the call to another site that does.
In our case, it would route them to our Tokyo site that applied the wrong hours to the auto attendant.
Here's how we created the arbitration mailbox
[PS] C:\temp\autoattendant>New-Mailbox -Arbitration -Name "A new UM Grammar Mailbox" -Database <some db hosted in site> -UserPrincip
alName [email protected] -DisplayName "A new UM Grammar Mailbox"
    C:\temp\autoattendant>Set-Mailbox [email protected] -Arbitration -UMGrammar:$true
This keeps the call from going out of site to an Exchange UM server in a different time zone.
The tricky bit is that this does not immediately work.  The mailbox needs to pick up the OrganizationCapabilityUMGrammarReady capability which it will only get when the grammar generator runs.  In 2010 you were able to kick this off manually.  In
2013 it runs once a day.  You have to wait until Get-Mailbox -Arbitration | fl name, servername, persistedcapabilities shows the OrganizationCapabilityUMGrammarReady has been assigned to the mailbox.
I still have not yet resolved the underlying problem of why UM servers are ignoring the time zone setting on AA's business hours.
