Cisco UCSM 6248 Avail State : unavailable

Hi,
I am running UCSM FI 6248 to manage 5108, and in equipment tab it shown avail state : unavailable. there is no fault or alert.
I cannot ping esx server inside that chassis.
Need your advice?

I have tried to access the server share DP from the primary server by using my user
credential. Yes I can able to access the share.
But when I use the system credential to access the share received an error message as shown in below screenshot
Hence i have provided the share and ntfs permission administrators, system, everyone,
primary server account with full control on both tab. but still i am receiving error message.

Airplay icon is available then unavailable

Airplay icon is available then unavailable, I recreate my Itunes Library.itl and it works until I restart itunes.
I can't figure out what is going on. It works fine on all other devices and works fine on this computer with non itunes airplay like device mirroring apps.

Cisco UCS 6248 and Dell EQ 6510x

We have a Dell EQ 6510x we have in production and we are about to power on a Cisco UCS B series chassis and a pair of 6248UP FIs. I'm planning to connect the 4 6510x 10G ports directly to the 6248 FIs and set them as Applicance Ports.
My question is would be be better to connect the 6510x Primary controller's two 10G ports directly to FI-A and the standby controller 10G ports directly to FI-B, or stagger them? Stagger meaning Primary Controller one10G to FI-A and one 10G to FI-B then Standby controller one 10G to FI-A and one10G to FI-B. Thanks!

In your design always keep in mind that both UCS FI are separate switches, they always will talk each other by the upstream switch. The best pratice is connect anything that have to talk with UCS domain in the upstream switch.
If there is no option to do so, you can connect through the FIs, using a appliance port. In your case I believe that connect stagger mode is the best option, but I'm not sure, depends how your vnics are configured and if your Dell EQ can do port-channel in active-standby mode.

Why Managed server stats "unavailable" in Enterprise Manager ?

i have setup a weblogic domain having AdminServer and a managed server . i have also configured em with this doamin. i am facing a problem in reflecting stats of managed server in em. when i start the managed server from admin console via nodemanager ,it shows managed server has started and same is also reflected in EM, but the stats for that managed server remains "unavailable".
in the other scenario when i start the same managed server via startMnagedserevr script, the stats get reflected without any issue.
why the stats are not getting reflected when i start the managed server via nodemanager ?

Can you check the Admin Server log and node manager log for any exceptions when you are starting the Managed Server through the node manager.
Sometimes there is some communication exception between the Admin Server and the node manager due to which the em console is unable to show the status of Managed Server.

Is there a Cisco Voip client available?

Hi.
I'm currently looking for a voip client for my mac mini.
As I login through VPN to my office account from home, I'd like to be able to connect to our Cisco VOIP network.
As I cannot find any relevant information regarding the availability for a Cisco VOIP client for MacOSX I assume that there is none available from Cisco.
However, are there compatible VOIP clients for Cisco VOIP products?

I have never heard of VOIP client software. If you are talking about something like IP communicator, or IP softphone, these will not run on Mac OS.

1. No, but you might be able to upgrade to Lion. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check that the computer has at least a Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU, and if so, click here.
2. Check the RAM from the About this Mac window, choose Computer from the Finder's Go menu, control-click the internal drive, and choose Get Info. If the computer has a 32-bit EFI, it can't be upgraded to Mountain Lion or above regardless of the RAM and free drive space.

Cisco Agent Desktop incorrect stats Agent Statistics Display

Hi,
I have a very strange problem with a cisco agent desktop user. The times/numbers as displayed in the Agent Statistics Display are incorrect. As you can see from image 1, the agent was presented with 14 calls. The total talking time is 7:22. However if you look at the actual times from image two, and add those numbers you will have a total of 54:42 minutes:seconds. Also the Max talking is incorrect since this filed should display the longest call which has a length of 14:22 min:sec. Also the ready times max/avg and so are incorrect. It's like it's displaying numbers from a different agent however the number of calls presented is correct. If i look at this specific user from the supervisor tool the numbers are correct, see image 3. (in this image a 15th call was placed) I have reinstalled the agent desktop software but this has not solved this problem. I've done some googling but can't seem to find anyone with the same issue and/or a way to troublshoot this. Anyone have a clue?

I've looked at the historical reports. Nothing weird there. The 14 minute call came directly from outside, no transfeer or anything. And even if this was the case then the 2nd longest inbound call is 8:30 and not 3:08. Also if you take the sum of all inbound call times you get almost 55 minutes. The difference is too much as the Toal Talking time displayed is 7:22. Also from the supervisor tool I do see the correct numbers.

Being stuck in the "initializing" state typically has to do with name resolution of the other server (especially in different subnets). I haven't narrowed down the EXACT requirements, but I believe it to be one of the following is required:
1) @domain.com
2) @SIPProxydomain.com
Where domain is the domain configured on the underlying linux system and can be found via the command "show network eth0 detailed". SIPProxy domain is the instant message domain that all the users have. This can be found under System -> Cluster topology -> Settings. While you are in this menu and your CUPS nodes are in different subnets please ensure the routing mechanism is changed to "router to router" and restart the XCP Router.
You can verify the 2 lines above can be resolved from the CUPS node CLI by the command: "utils network host "

Cisco FI 6248 to a 2960

Any issues or supportability problems connecting a Cisco UCS FI to a 2960 upstream switch?
This will be connected using channeled gig ports with multiple vlans.

Other than possible congestion - no. You'll need to configure the ethernet uplinks as 1GB on the FI's, but it will work. Just watch oversubcription since you're running all 10G from UCS southward. If this is for a lab I would say fine, but if you're looking for production you'll likely want a 10G switch northbound to UCS. Any traffic between blades that needs to reach between FI-A and FI-B will traverse the northbound switch, which can easily be a bottleneck at 1G speeds.

Cisco m9100 MDS cpu state discrepencies

I have weird issues with my m9100 MDS's cpu. After CISCOWorks complains that thoses equipement were peaking at 100% every minutes or so, I went on the equipements and try'd a few "show system ressources". Here is the result (remark the cpu states in bold);

It appear, sometime, for an unknown reason, CPU peaks to a weird % number (I thought a % couldn't get higher than 100).
Also, trying a "show process" (to get the running processes) command dosen't work. I am only able to "show processes"
Did someone experience same kind of discrepencies? I am running m9100-s2ek9-mz.4.1.1b.bin image.

Seen a lot of incorrect CPU utilization values due to bug CSCte81951. Note the new spelling of the command to see the cpu history etc.
From bug info:
"show system resources" shows high cpu usage even when there is not much activity on the switch.
In the specific case reported the cpu util (user+kernel) was always 100%.
No workarounds. Use "show processes cpu history" or "show processes cpu" for
cpu util. Fixed in 4.2(4) and 5.0(1a).

Cisco Socialminer 9 feed state issue

i have SocialMiner 9.0.1.10000-10 installed on ESXI 5 and have the following issue
1-all feeds states have the following issue as shown in the picture "there was a network timeout"

Cisco ACE - CLSRST connection state

hi,
During performance testing with IBM Rational Performance Tester tool with 500 users, I noticed above 4000 connections in 'show conn' display and most of the connection states showed as 'CLSRST'.
On doing search the meaning I found is
'CLSRST-ACE closed the connection by resetting it'
What does it mean and is it normal to see so many CLSRST connections.
