  • Cisco Unified CM User Options Pause question

I am trying to set up a speed Dial Setting for a conference call
I can set it up to call, but cannot put a pause in for the conference ID
when I enter the ",", I get the error:
    Windows Internet Explorer
    !  Number - allowed characters are numeric (0-9),plus ( +),asterisk (*),pound(#).
    OK
    Cisco Unified CM User Options

    Eric,
That is correct. You cannot insert a pause in speed dials for your version. CUCM 9.0 supports this feature.

  • Cisco IP Communicator v8.6 - Not opening "Cisco Unified CM User Options"

We have a IPC v8.6 client installed and we are unalbe to browse the "Cisco Unified CM User options" from the IPC client.
The User setting in preference as "Use specific URL" is set to the right  URL as ex:http://hostname/ccme.html
I`m able to browse the link http://hostname/ccme.html directly on Internet explorer but not through the IPC client by clicking " Cisco Unified CM User options"
Could there be any issue with Internet explore or IPC setting issue? Please advise.
I found the IPC v8.6 client application is slow to open compare to the IPC v.7. Is this normal or could there be any issue with our Operating system?

    Hi Manju,
Please check the following on your browser:
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -->
Scroll down to the Security section and make sure that 'Allow active content to run in
files on My Computer' is checked. Then try to open CM User Option from IPC again.

  • Cisco Unified CM User Options

    Hi
    can anyone advise?
When users try to reset their phone PIN through CM user option GUI they are getting a mandatory field alert as Current PIN is mandatory
is it possible to remove Current PIN field or make it not mandatory, so they can reset their PIN in case they forget the curent one?
    thanks

No, you need to enter your current pin in order to change it, if user does not know it then administrator will need to change it.

  • Cisco Unified CM User Options web page 404

I seem to be missing something very simple, but I have dived into the cisco pages and found nothing.  I want to enable the user web pages and have started to test it on one user and everytime in every browser I get 404.  When I open it in IE I at least get notified of a certificate, but then without any chance to enter credentials I get the 404 page.  The same user is able to access the directories on a phone with no trouble.  I know that I am missing something very simple, but what?
Thanks in advace for any assistance

I closed all the windows that were even related to my CUCM page, no luck.  I then reset IE and simply typed / in the address bar and I get a completely white page and the address bar changed to http://:8443/. I then change the http to https and it ask me to accept the cert or walk away from the site.  I said continue and it then gives me this error screen:
    HTTP Status 404 - /user
    type: Status report
    message: /user
description: The requested resource (/user) is not available.
    Again thanks for the idea

  • N80 for Cisco Unified CallManager

We know that Nokia has a client software for Cisco Unified CallManager which gives Cisco IP Communications functionality (VoIP functionality under Cisco infrastructures) to Nokia E60, Nokia E61 and Nokia E70s.
The question is will there be a similiar application which will give the same functionality for Nseries devices (especially N80s and future coming N95s)?

i do hope there is, but Nokia's series like E & N have a diffrent target of customers & features!Message Edited by android on 14-May-200704:12 PM

  • What are the main Differences between Cisco CallManagerExpress and full blown Cisco Unified CallManager

I am trying to decide which to deploy to a site that has a little over 100 users and they use a lot of features with their current phone system setup. For example, one setup is ring once to 'x' user and if they dont answer forward the call to 'y' group of users and if they dont answer, go to 'user x' voicemail. Does CME support those kind of configurations?
Also i have a CUCM environment at one site... Can CME Integrate with that or is it more of a standalone?
    Thanks for any input.

Not sure if this is still supported, but this is the only option I've heard for CME:

  • Cisco Unified CallManager 5.1 Customized Wallboard

    Hi,
I want to create a customized wallboard for CM 5. It is based on linux. i need some guidance how to start with? what approach is needed. how to connect to linux db from .net/c#. axl api can do the job how to cosume the webservice. Please guide me in executing this task.

IPCC Express = Unified Contact Center Express.
There is no such thing as Unified Contact Center... there's a Unified Contact Center Express, a Unified Contact Center Enterprise and a Unified Contact Center Hosted.
First order of business for you is to identify which product you have and which version. Second order of business is look at the appropriate product page and look at what guides are available.
There's also a bunch of information available (cco account required) in the developer support pages here: http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/dev_support/access_level/product_support
But nothing can rid of you having to understand and learn about the product you're dealing with. You may be best served asking your colleagues that installed the software, or whomever installed the software to give you a crash course about the product, as without proper knowledge, you'll always be hunting for information - there's just no substitute for understanding the product you're working with.

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition

    Hi,
As per my understanding this is only one server solution and you can not have more than one server i.e no sub only Pub. Is this correct?
    Thanks
    Ati

    Hi Ati,
You are most correct :) This is is "single server" solution for small to medium sized businesses up to 500 users. It comes packaged with Unity Connection for Voicemail.
    Here is a clip;
"Cisco Unified Communications Manager Business Edition is an easy-to-manage solution that combines voice, video, mobility, and messaging on a single server to simplify system administration and reduce hardware and operating expenses. This solution provides cost-effective deployment options for medium-sized organizations with smaller IT staffs that require all the advanced capabilities of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Cisco Unified CallManager), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Mobility (formerly Cisco Unified MobilityManager), and integrated management on a single server to expedite migration to unified communications."
    From this good doc;

  • Sql 2005 login error

    Post Author: dmccahanpppa
    CA Forum: General
We are migrating from JD Edwards on AS400 to Microsoft Dynamics GP on SQL 2005. I can create and refresh reports without problem using sa as the login account in Crystal. When I use any of the users created in Dynamics GP (as they have to for users to access GP) I get a login error from the SQL server. This is using the same ODBC connection and I have taken some of the users and elevated there permission on the GP database and/or overall sql server to even dbo and sysadmin and still cannot get any login other than sa to work. Any sql GURUs out there that can tell me what I'm missing?
    Thanks

I have tried creating ODBC connections (and also found a business objects article on OLE DB and tried that) with SQL Authentication and also with windows. I have made sure my users have usernames in GP that are all lower case name and password. The only thing that is getting me close is to use windows authentication on the odbc connection, set the odbc connection to a specific sql database, and give the users windows read permissions to that database. As a domain admin this gives complete access. With the users the login error goes away but I only see stored procedures and not the tables or views. I'm trying to find the minimum access to give the users in windows to allow windows authentication to work.
What I don't understand is why this should be so difficult to find the correct answer on. I have the same issue on a very plain install (everything on the server, sql, gp, and crystal) with just microsoft's test company and data as I do the production system (gp and sql on one server and citrix client and crystal on another). I setup the test server (a couple of times blew the whole thing away and rebuilt following gp procedures) and consultants built the production environment. You would think Microsoft (since they blow their marketing horn about how Crystal Reports works with GP) or Business Objects would have the user and odbc setup for this documented.
    Ok...so I'm a bit delusional....

<p>We have recently released a couple of new reports, but have discovered that although the reports run fine when launched in WEBi, whenever we try to refresh the report we fail with a SQL 4060 Login failed error message.
