you can do any think you want .... but depends how many ports you have on the IPS
If you get an ips 4215 w/ 4 fastethernet ports you can do any combination

Driver for Cisco Spectrum Expert Sensor WiFi

Hi
My company bought the above named sensor card. We have now tried on 4 different laptops, but we can't get it to work.
We have followed the instructions and installed the software before inserting the sensor card. The software version is 3.3.52. After installing, the software asked for a reboot of the laptop(s). We did, but after rebooting, Windows XP asks for a driver for "pci data acquisition and signaling processing controller". We have tried "googling" the driver, and also searched Cisco.com, without any luck. Can you help us?
...By the way. Our Windows XP are off course updated with SP3 and other updates.

I had a similar issue. Remove the card and then go to device manager and delete the network card from there. You may have gotten a windows driver loaded for it somehow. Then start the software and then re-insert the card. This fixed my problem. By the way, I love this product. I have found several issues with it. Leaky microwaves are my new enemy! I work at a hospital and I found a bad PCA pump killing wireless for the entire floor. Had Biomed replace it and my wireless problems went away. (for that floor anyway!)

Working Audio Driver for XP SP2 & SP3

I recently aquired a Lenovo converted Thinkpad... it was quite a hastle even getting XP to work considering all of the drivers required for the system required SP2 or higher for the most part to even be recognized.
Even with the automatic update function I have been unable to aquire a working driver for my sound card. Frustrating to say the least...
The laptop itself is a: 2008-4AA
Everything in the driver menu trees for my system seems pretty generic and I've given all of the laptop drivers a try. I was curious if anyone else had run into a similar problem when trying to run XP, and what they did to fix it...

Using Rufus to create bootable USB Drives for Cisco ISE 3495 upgrade

I will give a try in the lab but I just wanted to know if somebody else tried this option before.

Firstable I have to said that I received a brand new 3495 Cisco ISE with version 1.3.0.876 already installed on it BUT my deployment is running 1.2.1.198 patch 3 so I had to downgrade that box.
Hi Saurav, using Rufus did NOT work. I got an installation error so I found that using DAEMON TOOL Lite (trial version), I created a virtual DVD drive on my Win 7 Laptop which pointed to the ISO for version 1.2.1.198. Then I could make the downgrade with no issues. This is a Cisco Appliance not VM.
I think the procedure indicated by cisco in the following link is INCOMPLETE:

I will post some additional screenshots required on that link when you are using CIMC and upgrading/downgrading the ISE using External/Virtual DVD.
Important to say that I found this mechanism using Virtual DVD the easiest one instead of the bootable flash drive.

Cisco VPN Client Driver for Atom Processor Tablet

I recently bought a Dell Venue 8 Pro and installed Cisco VPN Client (5.0.05.0290). I get the Error message "Reason 440: Driver Failure"
This is perhaps this is because the client driver is not compatible with the Atom processor of the Venue 8 Pro. I have serched Dell for a driver but found none.
Any ideas?

Hi,
According to your description, I think it is compatibility problem.
I suggest you use the vpn in the windows 7 compatibility mode.
Making older programs compatible with this version of Windows:

External USB SuperDrive-cannot get it to work-need driver for it?

CD driver in my IMAC gave up . I tried several externals, that didn't work
Broke down and bought Apple External USB SuperDrive.
The store said just plug it in, and it will work.
Nothing! Is there a driver needed for it for 24" Intel IMAC, with Snow Leopard.
Supid to buy it from Best Buy, instead of the Apple Certified repair store, I guess.

Ah. You're looking to *play* discs, not just burn them! No, burning is not necessary - you mentioned a Super-Drive, which has the burn capacity and I though that was your main agenda. It's more basic than that. Okay, I got it.
Does the DVD player come up when you insert a DVD?
If not, there is a control panel in the System Preferences - in the Hardware settings.
The CD's & DVD's control panel. (It's furthest on the left, second row down)
Open that and there are the 'what to do's' for blank and burned/premade discs..
Make sure that the setting for 'When you insert a video DVD' is set to open the DVD player.
The 'radio bar' button to the right will open a drop-down menu and it should be set to play the disc, but if someone got in and fiddled with it, God knows what the settings can end up..
(The DVD app is not loaded in the Dock, by default and it should be! If you use the DVD player alot, go and drag the program straight out of the Applications folder and drop it wherever you like down inside the Dock!)
If the DVD player is not working for whatever mysterious reason, the second option is to try VLC (http://videolan.org) it is free, and is THE most robust media player for almost every type of video there is.
Install that and go into the System Preferences and back to the CD/DVD panel and set the machine to use VLC when you put in a DVD. See what that gets.

Cannot find a working Wireless Driver for my T41

I've searched within Lenovo's support page and tried all the drivers listed, but none work for me. There's always a Network Controller without a driver on the Device Manager list of Windows.
My laptop is a T41 2373-7JS. I'm currently using Windows XP SP3.
Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Unify for Cisco UCCX

Has anyone worked with Unify for Cisco UCCX? if yes, please provide pro and con on the product. I am checking on outbound campaign dialer options and see what would best fit client's requirements. I have tested outbound on UCCX, but it does not have all the requirements on client's wish list.

Anyone has an instrument driver for Agilent E8364 50GHz PNA

Does anyone have a working instrument driver for the E8364 50GHz PNA? I am currently tryin to use the agpna instrument driver downloaded from NI but i am having errors. The PNA balks that the "query is unterminated" and then the VI times out. Please let me know if you have a working instrument driver.

Is this the driver you are downloading?
If so,
- Are you running the Getting Started VI to test communication?
- Did the ID query pass?
- Make sure you have VISA 2.6 or later installed.
- Try running NI-spy with with the Log to File option enabled and post the spy capture.

Can anyone refer me to documentation on the Cisco site that talks about high-availability options and configuration examples for Cisco IDS/IPS 42xx appliances? Thank you in advance.

I found the following in the IPS V5 datasheet:
Auto and manual sensor bypass configuration-High availability can be achieved through numerous mechanisms for Cisco IPS sensors. Resiliency and redundancy can be delivered through unique network collaboration, for example, hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) configuration and Cisco EtherChannel® load balancing on Cisco Catalyst switches to divert traffic to a secondary IPS device upon the failure of a primary device.
I would like to have more info about how to divert traffic to a secondary IPS device; info about HSRP and EtherChannel load balancing as it relates to IPS. Is this HA option only available in bypass mode? Thanks.

Cisco works windows 2000 server (IDS)

I installed cisco works prepared for monitoring IDS Sensor, but i have some problem Access Apache windows folders
Error: The requested URL cannot be reached because client denied by server configuration: c:/program files/cscopx/htdocs/csconm
Description: 403 Forbidden is the HTTP status code returned by the Apache web server when either the user or the server itself has insufficient access rights to the URL.
You are not allowed access to this URL due to insufficient access rights. This may be due to an incorrect installation of the product. Please refer to your product's installation guide.

Please try the following:
Stop Daemon Manager. Type in "c:\net stop crmdmgtd " in the Windows command line
Then go to: NMSROOT\lib\web\conf\allow_files.conf (where NMSROOT is Progra~1\CSCOpx)
Please check if this file has the following entries
/index.html
/login.html
/mainPanel.html
/JSP/cmf/admin/index.jsp
/login1.html
Afterwards, restart Daemon Manager. Type in "c:\ net start crmdmgtd" in the CLI.
And try to access the server again.

Cisco USB Driver for Microsoft Windows 7 PC?

Hello All,
I want a USB Driver for the USB Console cable which came up with Cisco Router.
Note that this USB Console cable has both the sides USB ports ( 1 side of the port goes to USB Console Port of Router and other side goes to USB port of your Laptop)
I searched on cisco.com.
Found the below link:

IDS & Cisco Works SIMS

Hello,
I try to integrate a IDS 4.1 appliance to Cisco Works SIMS 3.1 (Netforensics) . But I fail for 2 days now. I can see that the CSIDS4 agent tries to connect to the IDS sensor with TCP port 443 but in the logs I always can see a "failed to conntect host".
I configured the "NF CSIDS Agent":
"Date Processor Data1" -> "CSIDS4 AGENT PROTOCOL" -> "MODE = SECURE"
There is a field: "signature"
Do I need fill out that field? What is the correct input for that field?
Or ist "mode" secure the wrong mode?
Has anybody integrated a Cisco IDS 4.1 to NetForensics 3.1 successfully?
