Cisco WSA : no data found in L4 traffic monitor summary

Hello !
Does L4 traffic monitor only display rogue traffic ? Because, I made a packet capture on the T1 interface and i saw that there was a lot of traffic but in the overview, no data was found in the field "L4 Traffic Monitor Summary". Is it normal ? There is a screenshot in enclosed files.
Thank you,
Stephane Walker

UDP ports will not be blocked.
The L4TM will use the T1 interface to detect traffic to destinations that are on its blacklist.  Once detected, the the data interface on the WSA will send a packet with the TCP reset flag to the client to prevent a TCP connection.
I have not tested this so someone correct me if I am wrong.  I am answering this based on my understanding of the L4TM feature, and how it works.  Since UDP is connectionless, there is no connection for it to kill.
Now this makes me wonder about the Monitor feature though.  But I am almost certain it will not block if the action is set to block.
I'll check this out when I'm in the office and will get back to you.

  • Cisco WSA : Is it possible to use web proxy in transparent mode without WCCP router ?

    Hello !
I would like to use Cisco WSA as a web proxy in a transparent way (without any configuration in client's web browsers) but i don't have a WCCP router. So, is it possible ?
If yes, how to do this ?
    Thank you,
    Stephane Walker

    Hi Stephane
The only alternative to WCCP is PBR (Policy Based Routing). With a simple configuration on the router you can redirect traffic defined as interesting by access list to WSA. On the WSA you need to configure transparent mode (Security Services -> Web Proxy -> Edit Settings -> Proxy Mode: Transparent). You also need to assure that proxy is listening on the port 80 and that HTTPS proxy is enabled (on port 443) if you want to redirect the HTTPS traffic as well.
    Sample configuration for Cisco router
access-list 110 permit tcp any any eq www
    route-map proxy-redirect permit 10
    match ip address 110
    set ip next-hop xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    interface ethernet0/1
    ip policy route-map proxy-redirect
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the proxy IP in such case and access-list 110 defines web traffic (HTTP TCP/80) as interesting.
The biggest disadvantage of such solution is lack of failure detection. If the proxy will go down for some reason router will keep redirecting the traffic causing internet access outage.
Routers other than Cisco equipment should also have an option to configure policy based routing.
    /Artur
Ps. It's not possible to place the WSA in-line between clients and the internet.

  • Cisco service orinted data centre or sun SODC (SDN)

    Hi,
Can anyone provide me the comparison of Cisco service orinted data centre and sun SDN specifically the critical analysis of SUN SODC (SDN).

Is Cisco now building "software instances" that are more service based as opposed to routers?  For instance could the CSR1000v evolve to become the "appliance of the cisco portfolio"?  Should Cisco write software for netflow analysis running on UNIX/ Wintel when they have already written software in the shape of the Master Controller that is already doing this?  If this is the case would they only really need to develop a web front end or XML API that would provide human readable format for the presentation of this data, if not why not use the CSR1000v as a platform for this development?  With PfR, FabricPath/TRILL, and LISP is there a justification for getting maybe a more graphical visibility of traffic flows like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dHH_nVPyug or is the intention to leave this for third parties?

  • Cisco WSA S170 AsynOS 7.5.2 LDAP group query debug

    Dear support forum members,
I have some problems with the Cisco WSA S170 (AsynOS 7.5.2). It looks like a bug. I have two users in my Active Directory(AD), both of them are members of the InternetGrp6 AD group, both of them are in the same organization unit in the AD tree, but WSA could not identify that one of them member of the InternetGrp6.
I understand that WSA do this over the LDAP query to AD controller, but I could not found the way how do I debug LDAP query. This will give me ability to find out what happened during the user group LDAP query.
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Alexander.
    P.S. Sorry for my English.

    Hi,
First of all I would like to thank you for assistance!
It is a pity, but I received  "Unknown command: ldapsearch" in the SSH CLI session.
AsyncOS 7.5.2 for Web build 304 installed.
    Best regards,
    Alexander.

  • Cisco WSA https inspection capability?

    Hello,
does a Cisco WSA has the capability of inspecting HTTPs traffic like Internet-Proxy servers do

    yes.
Here's a doc on how to set up the WSA, it has a section on doing HTTPS:

    Hi,
Assuming your initialization matches your discoverer login, it is pretty weird that you get no data.
I am not sure how you got the SQL but i suggest you trace the session to get the exact SQL ran by the discoverer.
You may find another condition or join that limits your data.
Also another thing that you should try is to initial the session by using all the parameters (including the security group as you have in your discoverer login):
    begin
      fnd_global.APPS_INITIALIZE(user_id =>, resp_id =>, resp_appl_id =>, security_group_id =>);
    end

    Hi,
I think there is a part of the stored procedure you did not displayed in your post. I think your issue is probably due to a parsed value from java. For example when calling a procedure from java and the data type from java is different than expected by the procedure the ORA-01403 could be encountered. Can you please show the exact construction of the call of the procedure from within java and also how the procedure possible is provided with an input parameter.

  • Can not view/export a report which has 2 group by field when no data found

Recently I developed a report, which contains 2 group by fields. it runs successfully when the report displays some data.
but when there is no data, i cann't view/export this report.
It shows nothing by html format and shows "this file cannot be opened because it has no pages" message by pdf format.
even there is no records for this report, i still want to see the template file and show some basic information.
    please help me.
    Daniel

I've found that, just like I used to do in Oracle Reports, if you put in a COUNT column to count your returning rows, you can put 'No Data Found' when there's no data. That way, your report will return and not error out.
For .pdfs, this is the code I use; COUNT with code of <?if:count(field_name)=0?>.
    In the .rtf..
    COUNT
         No Data Found
    END COUNT
Put this in the .rtf before your data should appear or else it won't work.
    Hope this helps!

    ...            WHERE test_date_and_time BETWEEN start_date AND end_date;)is a mistake, but it wouldn't cause ORA-01403.
    Also,
    FOR  rec  IN (query)
    LOOP
END LOOP;doesn't raise NO_DATA_FOUND. If the query doesn't return any records, then the loop is simply not executed even once.
If you'd like help, then post your actual code, or a simplified version that gets the same error, along with whatever CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements are needed to run it.

    Hi All,
I have created a vendor overdue analysis query on top of 0FIAP_C03 same as days overdue analysis on top OFIAR_C03.
But when i am executing vendor open items overdue analysis i am getting " NO APPLICATION DATA FOUND" while my days overdue analysis of FIAR is working.
So can you tell what are changes that need to be made in vendor overdue analysis as i have exactly copied days overdue analysis except here its vendor not customer.
But i checked in ECC side data is there for vendor open item overdue analysis
    Looking for a quick reply.

I assume that there is data in the AP cube and the read pointer is upto date (ie all request are available for reporting)
When doing a list cube on AP can you see the data?
Then if all is fine it is a simple case of going through the RKFs and filters finding out where there is a join failure

for AR Open Balances get appl_short_name
find template by query from opp.log or by xml publisher resp

  • Csv no data found when using bind variables

    Hi,
I have created a report, that uses 2 date variables to limit the query and rows display as they should. But clicking the csv link opens csv having one row stating 'No data found...'. If I set static values in place of variables, I get the right result. How could I use bind variables and get the right answer in csv (without coding my own function)?
    Kaja

I am having the same problem.
The export link opens a new session without submitting the current page. The page item values are therefor not saved to cache before the export is undertaken.
Any report using page item bind variables in the where clause will not export correctly as the bind values are either null or those of the previous page submit.
Any ideas on how to get round this??

  • Report export to csv - no data found in report

    Hi all,
I've followed the steps to export my report to a csv file. In the Report Attributes, Report Export section I have:
Enable CSV output: Yes           Separator: ,           Enclosed By:
    Link Label: Export
    Filename: Changes.xls
But when I open it in excel, no data found is the only test showing in cell A1.
Is there something else I need to do? I don't understand why it's not exporting my report - there is data on my screen in the report.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Dave,
Have a look in my blog:
