CiscoWorks: Compliance job to change usernames/password in devices.

Hi,
We have configured devices with TACACS and in case TACACS don’t work then fall back to local credentials..We have different passwords on different devices. Is it possible in compliance job that if particular username/password match, then change it to different username/password.
e.g. if username=abc and password=123 then change it to username=def and password=456
or if
if username=abc and password=cisco then change it to username=ciscoworks and password=ciscoworks123
We want to run this job on 3500 devices via CiscoWorks. Please advise.

I would run a job that puts the username password on all of them. And runs a no username johndoe for all username you know of, that you want to remove
So it may overwrite the same username password..... I don't mind, it will be done when I get back in the morning.

CiscoWorks: Compliance job to find NTP status in switches?

Hi,
We have about 4000 switches in our estate, and we want to find from CiscoWorks that which devices are not configured with correct NTP source. Is it possible to run a compliance job in CiscoWorks to findout that which switches "clock is unsynchronized". e.g. if we do "show ntp status" on switch, we get output as "clock is unsynchronized". How we can run this job in compliance jobs.
Or please advise a better way to find this issue.

i just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. I got back to my ipad and try to download an app I can't because I have to sign in my apple account and I can't because it still has the irrelivant I.D/email address..
So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do.

I use master password & if I change passwords on a site, it doesn't ask to "change" Also doesn't ask to "remember" with new usernames/passwords. Does anyone know how to fix this or add usernames & passwords to saved password page on Firefox.

Firefox (I think version 5, maybe 4) does not ask to "remember" passwords anymore nor does it ask to "change" a password when I've done that. It didn't ask when I changed my Facebook password & I have to log in each time so I removed my username & password for FB on Firefox's "saved password" page. When I've don't that before, it asks to "remember" but doesn't anymore. I use a master password.

There should be no need to zero the hard drive.
Using the Restore discs that came with the iBook when it was new, restore the system software using the appropriate instructions which you can find through a link contained in this Apple Knowledge Base article:

DAC Physical Data Source password change - invalid username/password

We are using DAC/Informatica for loading Peoplesoft data into the warehouse. The password for the peoplesoft source was changed recently. I changed the password in DAC under setup, Type source for the Peoplesoft DB. When I select 'Test Connection' I receive the message connection established successfully. When I restart the execution plan I still get the same error - invalid username/password for obi_infa_ps, which is the account we use for accessing the Peoplesoft DB. All of the DAC and Informatica services on the server have been shutdown and restarted - still getting the invalid username/password error.
Do I need to rebuild the execution plan? If I do, can I manually put in the needed refresh dates?

You will also need to update the username/password in the Informatica Workflow Manager.

Using a guest wi-fi network with changing username and password

I am trying to access a "guest user" wi-fi network at my office. For security purposes, the guest network username and password are changed periodically. The connection worked fine until the username and password changed. Is there any way to access the setup of a specific wi-fi network on the iPhone and update the user name and password? I would like to be able to do it without resetting ALL the networks used?
I tried to use "Forget Network" and then restored the connection, but it appears the iPhone retains the old username and password in memory.

Well, I tried to duplicate what you talked about. I have my wireless here at home, and I chose, "Forget this network" and when I went to rejoin, it asked for a password. Many public networks take their username and password through the browser. Have you tried to open Safari to see if it will default to the username/password screen? I've used mine at hotels that change their access every 24 hours and if I try to log back on after the time, it defaults back to the login screen. That is the only solution that I can think of. And yes, if you go to settings and reset network settings, it will clear all of them.

Getting invalid username/ password when trying to change expired password

I am using Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production.
I created a user with password expire option and gave create session grant. When I tried to connect with the user it gives me password expired message as expected but when I try to put new password it gives me invalid username/password as show below. I have tried many times and made sure new password and retype new password are same and long enough.
Could anyone please advice what am I missing?

I searched but could not find the answer for how to programamtically change the username /password of the datasource created by the Servers tab under JSC2.
My database is Oracle and I use the logins to specify the security policy. So I would like to be able to use the username/password when the user logs in and use these info to make the connection to the database server instead of the ones I provide when creating the data source.

The username/password can be set for the datasource via the CachedRowSet created for the datasource.
For example if you drop the sample Travel->person table on the visual designer a "personDataProvider" is created. Here's the code to set the username/password.

We installed BPC 10 SP11 for a client, now to comply with some regulations client wants to change the following
- Sysadmin username and password
- BPCAdmin username and password
- BPCUser username and password.
I understand that server manager --> Reset login credentials lets you change the password for sysadmin and the other accounts,
but is there any way we can change sysadmin account (service account used for installation)?

I picked up the incident you set up with this question, and responded there, but just saw that you had asked the question here as well (which is a good idea).
This is the feedback I provided in the incident, so I'm not sure if you want to get feedback from someone else, but the answer is:
In order to change the ID's and Passwords for those service accounts you will have to uninstall and reinstall BPC with the new accounts. There is really no way to make that kind of change maunually in our system as there are too many backend pieces that use those accounts.
Also, you'll need to make sure before reinstalling that the new accounts have the correct permissions per the installation document.

Thanks, this solved my problem. Network kept demanding username; I guess it's different from the computer ID I use. Whatever, it wasn't easy to find the network listed, but by trial and error, I found it, highlighted it, and pressed delete key. Now the network only asks for password, which I knew, and I'm on. Great advice. But why computer was configured to do that in the first place is why I prefer PC to my wife's inscrutable macbook pro.
