Ciscoworks - Could not eneter enable mode

We recently used Ciscoworks to change our enable password on all our managed devices.  Since then it has been unable to archive the configurations.  We have changed the default credentials in Ciscoworks and have confirmed that they are correct by exporting the device, and also manually logging on using the credentials.
The weird thing is, any new devices that we add into ciscoworks are able to have their configs archived.  If we remove a device and add it in again the config archive works.
Any existing device does not get their config archived.
Any thoughts on how we can fix this?  I was thinking just delete everything and import them in again, but I’m not too sure of the process.
Thanks.

If you go to RME >  Admin > Config Mgmt > Transport Settings and choose NetConfig as "Application Name", do you have TFTP as the primary  "config deploy" protocol?

just opened my new HP officejet pro 8600 and trying to enable web service and I received the following error: web services (eprint and Apps) could not be enabled.  I have no idea how to debug this issue.
    Any help out there?

They are the same, however be advised that anything that is pending in the queue will be gone, as well as your current custom email address. You will have to readd the printer with a new info page, and use a different custom email address.

Ok, I reinstalled gdm, added my user to the video group and so far it seems to be working properly, so thank you very much.
Now I just need to see if it will stick that way, since it seems to come and go somewhat randomly.
And btw, I use the presentation mode shell extension, but disabling it did not have any effect.
    EDIT:
Ok, it seems the source of the problem was this little addon to /etc/gdm/Init/Default, that I used to launch synergy in GDM:
    /usr/bin/killall synergyc
    while [ $(pgrep -x synergyc) ]; do sleep 0.1; done
    /usr/bin/synergyc 192.168.0.2
Since synergy controls the display power state, it would add up.

Placed a DCS2 document image in a new Illustrator document.
Tried to change the Output Mode in the Output Dialog but could not select "Separations Mode".

I would check with the makers of ULTRASEPS.
I never heard of it, just checked their website, I don't think they support Illustrator:
What do I need to use UltraSeps?
UltraSeps requires Adobe Photoshop version CS2 or higher on Windows and Macintosh.
Its also 100% compatible with Photoshop Creative Cloud and Creative Cloud 2014.

  • Journaling could not be enabled

I always format my drive using OS Extended (Journaled) I had always assumed the HD in my MacBook Pro was formatted this way. I recently cloned my HD to an external drive and in the process discovered the HD was not Journaled. Upon researching the issue I discovered I could enable journaling through Disk Utility.
I selected the external clone and enable journaling highlighted. I selected it and journaling was enabled on the external. I tried the same procedure on the internal HD and I get the dialog Journaling could not be enabled on this HD.
How can I resolve this? Disk Warrior says all is fine

Here is a summary of my solution: Remember, after I cloned my HD to the external, I discovered my internal drive had not been journaled for some unexplained reason.
The clone was not journaled as well. I assumed the file system was just copied from the internal HD to the clone. I successfully enabled journaling on the clone using Disk Utility, but failed enabling journaling on internal HD. Booting from the clone did not help. Permissions repair, and DiskWarrior did not help. Journaling could not be enabled. Then I thought I would just do a Smart Update using SuperDuper from the clone to the internal HD, thinking the file system, journaled, would copy to the internal HD. Superduper Crashed each time I tried to Smart Update the internal HD. Detailed reports were offered to be forwarded to Apple in a dialog box. Anyway, solution was to make a second clone, just in case, and then erased the internal HD and formatted extended journaled. I then used the original clone to restore the internal HD. Both volumes are now journaled and up to date. Phew!

  • Officejet 8620 Web Services Could Not Be Enabled

I can get my Officejet 8620 to connect to the network but it can't connect to the Internet.  When I hit the apps button it says "Web Services Could Not Be Enabled".   I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router.  I can find no helpful HP documentation that tells you how to get around this issue other than to wait and try again later if you can't connect.  It's been days that I've been trying so I don't think more time is the solution.
    Can someone help?
    Thanks.

    Hello MAIAston,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
A common fix for the error "Web Services Could Not Be Enabled" is to apply a Manual I.P and DNS on the 8620. To apply this to the printer you will first need to print and Network Configuration Page from the printer (Wireless icon>Settings).
Type the I.P address into the Address bar of a web browser and press enter. Click Network>Wireless (802.11)> IPv4 Configuration. Click Manual IP> Suggest a New Manual IP Address. Change the DNS to 209.244.0.3 & 209.244.0.4.
Apply the settings, restart the printer and try again.
Let me know if this worked.

  • ICloud mail account could not be enabled

Since I have updated to Mavericks I have been having difficulty with "Mail".  I had 4 accounts; two of which were gmail accounts.
After reading about the gmail issues, I was hoping that the recent "Mail Update for Mavericks" would solve my issue. Unfortuantely my issues remain.
The problem first began with the program taking minutes (up to 10 min) to load; forcing me to force quit the program many times.
I slowly deleted the various accounts from my icloud account. Interestingly in the System Preferences under "internet accounts" it would initially not display all of the accounts that I had listed in the mail program. It would also take 10 min to load the accounts into the Accounts Pane on the "internet Account" dialog.
Even after deleting each of the accounts; including my icloud account and then only re-enabling my icloud account things didn't get better.
Now "mail" doesn't load at all. And I can't enable "mail" in the Icloud system preferences.
It times out after 3-5 minutes saying "Your iCloud mail account could not be enabled. Try enabling it again". Of course; trying again gets the same message.
So I'm stuck not using "Mail" at all; and I don't know what the issue is.
I've moved on to "AirMail" and it is working fine. But would like to use "Mail".
    Any one else getting this???

I had this problem & found these instructions, it worked everything as it was before the upgrade now, except I've lost the old email accounts I deleted.
The problem was caused by dodgy entries in the accounts.plist file in my User Library folder. It appears that either when I upgraded to Mavericks this file gained many thousands of duplicate entries, or maybe these entries were in there before but previously the OSX/Mail combination was more tolerant. When I removed these the problem with Mail disappeared. Here’s what I did….
1> Make the user Library folder visible - in Mavericks this is a lot easier than Lion/Mountain Lion. Simply open up your user directory in Finder, select menu View>Show View Options, and select “Show Library Folder”
2> Navigate through username>Library>Mail>V2>MailData and select the Accounts.plist file. If this file is multiple megabytes (mine was 40+mb) then this is likely the cause of your problem (once sorted mine ended up at 19k in size!)
3> To be safe, make a copy of this file (I placed the copy on my desktop).
4> Using your chosen text editor (I used Text Wrangler but I’m sure TextEdit would work just fine) open the Accounts.plist in the MailData folder (not your backup copy) and take a look. If it’s the same as me you will find hundreds and hundreds of entries for the same mailbox repeated in there. Mine was an old MSN mailbox that I never use any more (I’ve seen in other forums that other Hotmail type accounts also seem to be the culprits in this context). There will likely be two lots of repeated data, one in the XML “DeliveryAccounts” <array> section, and one lot in the “MailAccounts” <array> section.
5> Delete (keeping in mind the need to select the XML sections correctly from <dict> to </dict> completely) all those extra entries that you found, keeping the mail accounts you do need, in the XML and save the file.
6> Mail should open up nice and fast again and not eat your system
7> If this did not work, and causes problems because of over eager deleting in <5> you can replace your broken Accounts.plist file with your backup and try again.

  • Web Services could not be Enabled (Office Jet 6700 Premium)

    Hi,
I've successfully connected my printer the internet via wireless connection. I can print from any computer over wifi. However, I cannot enable web services.
I have tried every troubleshooting method available under the sun.
Eg) Manually setting IP Addres and DNS, Restarting, Resetting to Default, Rebooting Router, updating router etc.
All methods I have tried are also here (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/ePrint-Print-Apps-Mobile-Printing-and-ePrintCenter/ePrint-Apps-Connecti...
I have read every forum relating to this issue and everyone seems to have had their issue resolved through all one or more of the methods I have already used. I am quite disappointed with having to spend so long getting my product to do what it is meant to do straight out of the box.
Any further guidance would be kindly appreciated,
                Kind Regards

Hi there, your frustration is understandable. It sounds like you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps but if you haven't already, try using the manual DNS values in the image below in the printers embedded web server (EWS) settings. If you've already done this and your printer is only new let me know what country you are in and I'll provide you with a direct number for HP phone support as you may be entitled to a replacement.

  • Virtual XP Mode Asks for Password after "Could not enable Integration features

With Win7 64 bit professional as the main OS I installed the VM XP Mode several years ago and occasionally when XP is booting up, it asks for a password for the username XPM User. I have never setup passwords for Win 7 or for XP so that the PC simply boots
up into first the Win 7 and then I can choose to boot straight into XP if I wish. On the occasions that XP asks for a password, I have simply closed down and rebooted successfully. Over the past two days I have received a dialog box telling me that the integration
features could not be enabled and on closing that dialog box, I am being asked for a password - which does not exist! As a result, I cannot access the personal finance application that I 've been using for the past 15 years. This is the only application I
run on XP and is the reason the virtual machine is in use.
I read through the existing posts on "could not enable integration features" and none seem to offer much of a solution to me. There is no .vsv file.
How do I access the files that are stored for use with XP?
How can I create a password that XP will accept?

    Hi,
When finding the .vsv file, have you unchecked the show hidden files option? Go Control Panel | Folder Options | View and uncheck the option to "hide extensions of known file types" and also enable showing hidden files and folders.  The file type is
Virtual Machine Saved State. If it exists, please delete it and restart the XPmode.
Regarding the password issue, have you checked those two threads?
the integration features could not be enabled
Removed XP Mode password in Windows 7 and now cant login
The suggestions is to enter safe mode and make a password reset OR reinstall the intergration features. Please take a check with more suggestions offerred by the folks here.
If the above is not working, then we may consider to backup important files with XPM VHD file via Disk management, and then reinstall Windows XP mode.

  • Windows XP Mode - Could not enable integration features

Hello!  Let me start off with saying that I'm not very computer savvy, so please be gentle!  :)
So here my problem.  I have scoured forums all morning looking for a solution and have tried many things and nothing has worked yet.  I have Windows 7 Pro.  I use the Windows VM to run in XP mode so my small business programs will
operate correctly.  This morning VM would not open.  I click to open Windows VM, it take unusually long to attempt to open.  After 5 or so minutes error message - Could not enable integration features with details stating .  It gives me
an option to retry or continue.  When I hit retry, it does so but the ending result is the same error message.  When I click continue it states the operation has failed - the VM is not running.
    What I HAVE tried-
    -Reboot
-Clicked start>windows virtual pc>open windows virtual pc>right click settings
              - From this point I have tried to shut down from the close option as well as uncheck enable integration features at start up. Status is in Hibernation and has not changed.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank You

Bob, I have read as much as I can find on this problem (Enabling Integration Features and having it remain enabled), and your responses are the most straight forward, complete and seem to have helped a number of others. So, I'm adding to this discussion,
instead of starting a new discussion, so that I can get YOUR response.
I am running Windows 7 Professional on a Dell Precision M6500 laptop with an Intel Core i7 processor and 8 Gb of memory.  When I first setup the laptop I installed Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode, after downloading from the Microsoft.com
website.  While the installation went without an error, getting to use it was a major, and long problem.  I have one (very) old planner software app that I've been using since the mid 1980s. Being somewhat stubborn, I refused to change to a newer
app. So, I installed the app under XP Mode (it doesn't run under Windows 7) and it worked fine.  I then tried to setup the printer and the Guest PCs drives (some USB).  I followed the Microsoft instructions and suggestions I found in forums.
I finally gave up and called and paid for Microsoft tech support.  Many weeks and we finally got it working - was able to print to my wireless printer from XP Mode and was able to backup my data to the Host PCs USB drives (I make three copies of the data
on a daily basis, so I actually have 21 copies of the data after a week).  When we got it working I never had a problem with Enabling Integration Features, before it would disable Integration Features after I enabled them, repeatedly.  Then a Windows
7 upgrade hung - 8 hours and the PC hadn't shut down.  I powered off the PC and then powered back up.  I got a blue screen error about CPU being too hot and the PC shut down. It was no hotter than usual. Powered up again and all seemed fine, until
I went to start XP Mode and my planner.  XP Mode was trashed, wouldn't start.  Tried to reinstall and still had the same problem.  So, another call to Microsoft Tech support and another fee. Interestingly, the fellow that I worked with this
time as a level higher and knew the first tech I worked with.  A few days and XP Mode was back running and the environment was actually as it had been when the PC crashed (the VHD file was still there and had my original environment - settings, programs,
printer and drive mappings - all in place, this file is in the same location as the VSV file).
Long winded background to my current, repeated problem. Integration Features will no longer stay enabled.  While I don't recall a "crash" or "hung" PC, my notes are all in that planner app in XP Mode and I can't get to it.  So,
I uninstalled VPC and XPM and reinstalled from scratch. Reinstalled my planner app, configured and tested my printer and host drives (didn't map them, just access them from My Computer).  Suddenly (as I said, I can't recall anything going wrong to trigger
the repeat of this problem) Integration Features will not enable.  I've deleted the VSV file and the problem still exists. Just "Shutdown" XP Mode and 50 Windows XP updates were installed.  Then installed 48 updates. It worked for one afternoon and
evening. Booting the laptop this morning and Integration Features again is unstable. One more Windows update was installed.  Then I followed your suggested steps:
Delete the" Windows XP Mode.vsv" file in the folder
    C:\users\[your user name]\appdata\microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines.
That should then allow XP Mode to start correctly.
Have you uninstalled, rebooted XP, and reinstalled the Integration Components?  All of this occurs in XP Mode not on Win7.
    1. Uninstall the Integration Components in XP Mode from Add/remove programs
    2. Reboot XP Mode
    3. Reinstall the Integration Components in XP Mode from WVPC menu.
The laptop is also in the same Workgroup as the Host PC and all the other PCs on my LAN.
    Any suggestions?
Where can I find the following folders from XP Mode on the Host PC:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Documents
    C:\Documents and Settings\XPMUser\My Documents
I created folders in both with the backed up data and programs from my planner app and would like to have access to them from the Host PC.
I'm just about at the point of abandoning XP Mode and looking for an alternative Virtual Machine app, just using Outlook, or getting the Outlook app from the original software provider of my planner app.  All of these options are less
than ideal, but Microsoft's XP Mode has also become less than ideal.
    TIA
    Neil Cook

  • XP Mode starts up with "Could not enable integration features" and loads with a blank screen.

The XP Mode virtual machine comes up with a big blue screen with no programs loaded after the "could not enable integration features" dialog box.  How to recover?

    No...see the link I posted:
If you did not enable Find My iPhone on your missing device
If you did not enable Find My iPhone before it was lost or stolen, you can't use it to locate or protect your device, but you can still follow these steps:
Change your iCloud password to ensure that no one else can use your device to delete or make changes to your iCloud data.
Report your lost or stolen device to local law enforcement and your wireless carrier. Apple doesn't track or flag lost or stolen products, but you can use My Support Profile (supportprofile.apple.com) to find a list of serial numbers for products that you've purchased or registered with your Apple ID.

  • Your site recommended that I start Firefox in "safe mode," but despite following the steps, I could not do so, why?

I have used Firefox as my browser for more than seven years, maybe ten.
After the two recent "updates" over the last six weeks or two months, Firefox has been horrible.
It constantly hangs and crashes, cannot access certain basic website, slows start-up, use, and shutdown, and, according to AVG, is using massive memory. Two weeks ago, AVG actually came out and directly recommended that Firefox be completely disabled.
I tried the Firefox recommendation to reset Firefox to default settings. It didn't work.
I tried the Firefox recommendation to start Firefox in "safe mode." But despite following their instructions as to how to do so, I could not start Firefox in safe mode; it just bounced back to the recommendation page.
It seems that Firefox has destroyed itself, and made itself completely unusable as a browser.
At this point, I see little alternative to removing Firefox completely from my computer and changing to Internet Explorer as my browser.
Has anyone had a similar experience, and similar problems, or does anyone have any ideas as to how I can try to salvage Firefox and restore it as a usable browser? Thanks to all who have any comments or ideas.

Please update to the current Firefox 33.1.1 release.
