CiscoWorks LMS 3.2 unable to update device packages

Chaps,
This is a new install of LMS 3.2 with the Campus Manager patched to 5.2.1.
I'm unable to install any new device updates, if I use the GUI and Check for Updates then it says that none are available.  The Device Count Type for Campus Manager is 0 although and my 3750X stacks are not supported.
Any ideas?
Jim

Try to install the update manually. Open CLI on the server, navigate to $NMSRoot\bin directory and execute the commands:
1. PSUCli.bat -p cm -dst  -download CMDeviceUpdates ,     On providing cisco.com credentials CMDeviceUpdates.zip will be
downloaded to "\cm" location. For example if  is
C:\psu_download then package will be under C:\psu_download\cm.
2. Install the package by executing below command:
PSUCli.bat -p cm -install -src\cm CMDeviceUpdates

  • Can't update device package for adobe DC in cd photo shop CS3 beta)

i've installed device central from CD Photoshop CS3 BETA ,
the problem is i can not install new device package for the file
that download from net , and it always shown ( the file update is
too new for this version of adobe device central ).... somebody
    help me please ?

I am pretty sure that the Device Central that came with
Photoshop CS3 BETA is different from the official release of Device
Central that comes with CS3 products.
I had Photoshop CS3 BETA and DC working. Then I bought a
licenced copy of Flash CS3 and Device Central. The new device
package installed perfectly on the newer version of DC. However,
now that I have installed the new Device Central, I can't launch DC
from Photoshop CS3 BETA—it gives me an error.
That said, DC works great—with the update—but
only via Flash CS3 (or some other official launch product).

  • Unable to update devices, receiving error 3014 on iTunes, and device via wifi is stating "Not connected to the internet", when it has an active internet connection

    Hi,
I have been encountering this issue and I have run out of ideas as to what would be causing this error. On numerous apple devices for our business I will receive an error 3014 when updating a device via iTunes, and this is after the software update downloads. When attempting to update the device over wifi it states that the device is not connected to the internet, when I ensured that the device has active internet connectivity.
Our business uses a Juniper firewall, which I thought might have been the initial cause of the issue, however I have ensured that ports 80 and 443 have full traffic flow and nothing blocking it, and I've also exempted all *.apple.com websites that I could find listed online.
I have also tried deleting the host files on the computer I am using to circumvent the issue.
If anyone could shed some light on what I can do to resolve this, that would be appreciated.

I've been trying for the past few days to update my BB Curve 8900's Device Software but whenever I click update, it always says "There are no BlackBerry Device Software updates available."
    Please help.
    Thank you!

    Hey TheLittleBee,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
BlackBerry Handheld software availability is determined by your network service provider.  If your network service provider does not have OS 5 availabile then there will be no updates.

I guess the main problem is that it'll take much more time, without any benefits, because the nearest mirror are generally the fastest. Am I wrong ?
Though, there are probably some regions that are not well deserved (not much mirrors, and of poor quality), in this case you might want to extend it a bit. But mirrors at the opposite of the globe are generally not very fast
you'd be surprised. Here in Australia, there's an irish mirror I get great speeds from, despite ireland being literally on the other side of the planet. Yet closer neighbors, like japan, and some south east asian countries, I get terrible speeds.

  • Ciscoworks LMS 4.0 – Email Notifications Issue

We currently use Ciscoworks LMS 4.0 with over 1000 devices in the database. I'm a LMS novice. And have been assigned the task of minimising the amount of email notification’s we receive, as if one device goes Operationally Down all devices off that switch also send alerts to the email notification group, which in turn overwhelms the mailbox.
The ports are configured not to log or send snmp traps.
    no logging event link-status
    no snmp trap link-status
So any advice on how we can limit these alerts being generated would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nessie,
Go to Monitor > Fault Settings > Setup > Fault Device Details
select the device and click on view  then Click on the hyperlink or the device name\ip address
that will bring a new window from there click on Interface and chanaged the Managed state from ture to FLASE for those interfaces for which you do not want ALERTS.
    Thanks-

  • Unable to update 7.1 on Bold 9790

    Hi
I am unable to update device software version 7.1 on my Bold 9790.  I already have 7.0 and keep getting this message on Desktop Manager that there is newer version 7.1 available.
    Need support....

    Hi jawwad_karim
Yes it might be the reason , you can try a manual update just downloading the OS file from your Carrier and install it on your personal PC or laptop ,Do a complete backup using BlackBerry Desktop software then disconnect your internet from the pc then use loader.exe to load the new OS to your device, try it this way :
1.Locate your Carrier and Download the OS you desire from here and Install it in your PC or Laptop Carriers
(make sure you are downloading for the same model as you have )
    2. Download and install the latest BlackBerry desktop software from here BlackBerry desktop software
Then using desktop software perform your full backup of your device.
KB12487 :  How  backup BlackBerry smartphone Data using BlackBerry desktop software for Windows.
3.Search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml ( On your Pc change your folders option to show hidden files/folders ) You can Skip step  3 if you are using your carrier OS pack :
        C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
        C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    4. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For 64-bit Vista or Windows 7, the path       will be C: > Program Files x86 > Common Files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double click Loader.exe.
Upgrade will continue then After Installation of New OS restore your backup from BlackBerry desktop
    Software.
KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file
So try it and let us know.

  • Adding device package befor device COP files

    Hi all,
Got landed with  a Cisco Call manager last year and still trying to figure things out.
Someone wants to add a bunch of new devices that a Cisco rep has told them all about(DX70, DX80, MX200, MX300, MX 700, MX 800 and  IX 5000)
The version the call manager is running on is : 9.1.1.20000-5
From reading around I have to first add an updated device package and then add COP files for each device?
I am little wary of adding a new device package as I am unsure as to what affect this will have on current devices( 7945, DX650's etc)
Looking at the compatibility matrix under Historical Cisco Unified Communications Manager Device Package Releases 9.1.1 does not have device packages for these devices?
Am I correct in assuming we need to upgrade to 9.1.2 before the devices can be used?
    Thanks
    John

A COP file can be anything, thus the name Cisco Option Package, from FW to bug fixes, to the new keys we use to sign the most recent versions.
It completely depends on what you're doing /what you want, whether you need a COP file, or a DevPack.
Just notice that DevPacks usually also contain new FW for several devices, if you want to keep your current FW (assuming it doesn't match), you'll need to take note of that and change it back to what you want under device defaults.

  • Ciscoworks LMS 2.5 don`t working software & devices updates

Terrible happened The old server with LMS on the Solaris operating system refused to work, but I have backup. I installed LMS 2.5 (CiscoView 6.1.2), RME 4.0.3. Posted all network objects that were in the old system from backup. But none of them can not do in the utility Netconfig, all the checkbox on the switches Cisco ME 3400-24TS-A inactive, butwith the Cisco 3750 is no such problem, it works. As I understand it, I must run Device Update, but the answer is a "No updates available in CCO for selected product (s)." The same problem with Software Update, I can not upgrade to LMS 2.6 and other products too. Tell me what to do? Some screenshots attached below.

Maybe Cisco has stopped maintaining the online update repositories for LMS 2.x. Alternatively, you can try finding the relevant RME/CiscoView/Campus Manager device updates at
    http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html?mdfid=268439477&i=rp
For example, select RME, instead of LMS, to find if the RME device pkgs are available for download. Once downloaded, you can apply them on the LMS servers locally.
