Citi EO said can't open cards closed for 90 days, but can they re-use closed terms for other cards

I used to have a much-loved 5.99% F Citi TYPref (originally Diamond Preferred Rewards) MC that was closed out by Citi during CARD Act, in 2009, that I have been trying to get re-opened for years now (albeit unsuccessfully) I finally called the Citi EO number today, mentioning the fact that I have faithfully and responsibly repaid over $12k on it over the past some years, but they said that they cannot open cards that have been closed for longer than 90 days My question here though is, if Citi cannot re-open an account closed for that long, do you think they might be favorably-inclined to lowering the interest rate a little on my currently-open Citi TYPref which is at 9.24% V, so that it is even just a little closer to my old closed card; I should have asked during the call I guess but I forgot to ask, at the time? The closed card was prolly my best credit card of all time..."the one that got away", and so I still have quite a bit of nostalgia for it and miss it, to this day The only open cards I still have that even come close to this old card are my FNBO Amex at 6.25% V and my BoA Cash Rewards World MC, at 9.99% F.

The closed card is 6 years old. I highly doubt they will reopen it or even CAN reopen it, regardless of how stellar of a customer you may be. It probably simply can't be done. You do realize that your FNBO is only 0.26% higher than the card you are so desperately wanting to reopen, right? That makes very, very little difference in terms of actual interest payments. Even the existing Citi card is still not even 4% higher and like I said, 9.24% is a great rate on a rewards card. Personally, I believe you are in better shape APR wise than most of us on rewards cards and you should be happy! I'd forget about this old account. It's gone and I would say you aren't getting it back (or the matching APR).

garageband : create & edit audio. add 1400x1400 image.
share to itunes.
drag file to desktop.
upload .m4a file to google drive.
create a link post in wordpress using "podcast" tag & create "podcast" category.
click on "entries rss" in wordpress, which takes me to the rss subscribe page (which is basically just my wordpress address with "/feed" at the end.
i copy this url.
go to itunes store > then "submit a podcast"
itunes gives me the error message "we had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed."
when i try to subscribe to my podcast in itunes, it does, but gives me no episodes available.
i went back into wordpress and changed settings/ reading settings to : "full text" from "summary"
still the same error message.
i added a feedburner step after wordpress but got the same errors. i don't think i should have to add feedburner.
wordpress seems to be encapsulating the rss, what am i doing wrong?
this so much easier when you could go directly from garage band to iweb to mobileme; i miss those apple days (also idisk).

You can set them up with your Apple ID if you want to. You can also set them up with their dad's Apple ID. Depending on how old the boys are, you can even let then have their own Apple ID's. The one thing that you don't want to do is have them use more than one Apple ID on their iPads.
If you want to be able to share purchased content, then setting them up with either your ID or your husband's (?) ID would be the way to go. If the boys share an ID with one of you, they can download content that you have already purchased without having to pay for it again.
If you and have the financial wherewithal to allow them to purchase their own individual content, I would recommend letting them have their own Apple ID. This way, as they grow older and eventually move on, they will have their own accounts, their own purchases .... No ties needed to your ID or to dad's ID. FaceTime and Messages will be a little easier to set up if they have their own ID's and they can have their own iCloud accounts as well. However, they must be 13 years old in order to have an Apple ID and iTunes account. If they are under 13, then it's a no brainer you will have to use yours or their father's ID.
Whatever you decide to do, just don't switch from one ID to another ID on the iPads. That gets confusing and they could end up locking themselves out of one of the ID's for 90 days if they download a past purchase using a different ID.

I need to flush the i/o serial buffer and the VISA Flush I/O Buffer or
VISA Clear seems to be useful.
How can they be used? I can't find any examples.

Do you mean what value to wire to the mask?

mask designates the buffer to flush. Combine the buffer masks by bit to flush more than one buffer simultaneously. Use logical OR, also known as OR-ing or adding, to combine the values.

Just in case....go to icloud.com/#find and see if your phone shows up.
If it doesn't, there is nothing you can do to prevent someone else from using it if they know the passcode. That means it's time to start changing any and all passwords you have for websites & apps.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your children are under 13, you should open 2 new accounts for yourself and let them use it. They can use these ID's for iCloud and so have their own email! contacts! calendars etc, but still share your original ID for iTunes for apps, music, etc. You can continue to sync them with your computer.

How to open TM backup for other laptop on LaCie connected by USB to TC?

My husband's laptop may be dead, and we need to access the TM backup for it from my laptop. I have tried following the instructions to "Browse Other Time Machine Disks" over the wireless network but something isn't working right since I don't even consistently see the sparse bundle for my own laptop, and the LaCie drive connected to the TC doesn't seem to be recognized at all.
This is what we're working with:
my laptop: MacBook Pro/10.5.8
his laptop [possibly defunct]: iBook G4/10.5.?
500G TC - my TM sparse bundle (plus other files);
160G LaCie drive; 4 partitions, 1 about 85G, with his TM sparse bundle (plus other files).
Backups were runninng wirelessly after initial creation over Ethernet.
I've tried connecting the LaCie to my laptop directly via USB and Browsing for Other TM Disks, and still nothing. I checked permissions on the partitions, and they seem okay. Can I force it to mount his backup file somehow? All four partitions on the LaCie show up as Sharepoint folders under the Shared TC when I'm using the wireless network, but the LaCie isn't readable by Disk Utility unless I'm directly connected.
Any help appreciated, as he needs files from the backup for his consulting work, of course. Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
You should be able to mount the sparse bundle (either wirelessly or with the drive directly attached) by double-clicking it via the Finder. Then it should show up on your desktop and/or Finder sidebar, and in the Browse window.

Just for clarity's sake, Mac OS X 10.5.8 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is Mac OS X 10.6.x. It's often important, and features and capabilities differ between the two operating system versions.

I, too, am interested to know if I will be able to use a foreign SIM card when traveling overseas. I spend a significant amount of time outside the US and before buying an iPhone would need to make sure I could use the phone abroad with my other SIM card. The link above points to a FAQ that, alas, does not answer this question. It only mentions that the iPhone can be used abroad via roaming, which means paying AT&T astronomical data and call rates for international.

BI Reports: can they be used without BI?

In standard Business User Roles (i.e. SALESPRO) there are a lot of Logical Links representing BI Reports. But without BI connected to CRM those aren't working. Can those reports be somehow "transferred" to BI Client for Interactive Reporting? Or in case you have only Interactive Reporting solution those Logical Links should better be just hidden?
Also does anyone have a document describing solution architecture of Interactive Reporting (i.e. what exactly gets generated within BI Client, which implication this has on overall system performance etc)?
Also perhaps someone can tell me where can I get following files from:

If you're still in warranty, go back to Apple and show proof (print off that page confirming your warranty is intact the day you go).
You may just need to perform a simple Restore in iTunes.

Opening a dialer for other computers to connect

Hello all!
I'm connected to the internet using a cable , with username and pass login.
Sometimes I have some friends coming over for studying purposes, and the need for wifi arises.
I've heard there's a way to open up a "dialer" or something of that sort, that imitates the use of a WiFi, and other people could connect to the internet as well, while my computer runs this sort of dialer on the background..
How is it possible? I tried googling with no success . I'm running Snow Leopard.

HT1349 why when i charge my iphone 4, the phone is so hot! and when i charge full, and it just can use half day, but i don't use anything on my phone.

I get my new iphone from the apple store online, and i just get my iphone for 3 3days, and when i charge my iphone, the phone will be very hot!!!! i don't know why! and when i use my phone, it just can use for 6 hours, and you should know that is i don't do anythings in my phone! give me reasons for my iphone 4 8GB!!

The iPhone should get slightly warm when charging and if being used a lot, however "HOT" is not normal. What troubleshooting steps have you tried. Powering the phone off/on is first, then a reset, and then a restore, first from a backup and then if necessary as a new device. Try those first and if that doesn't seem to work, you may have a hardware defect. If that is so, you would need to call Apple care about possibly exchanging the phone. Since you bought it online that would have to be handled this way and the old one shipped back.
